These are not stored in Google Photos but on get.google.com/albumarchive (on top).

Try to log-in with your Gmail-account on this site on your Chromebook, because then you can open that album and delete its contents (your own pictures sent).

It is not easy for me to check if they will disappear at the receiver(s) also, but I don't think so.

So ask a good friend to check that.

I had a 250MB video file recorded which was showing up under "Google Photos" without much details like whether it's completely backed up or not. I tried to play the file from drive itself and it could play the file. Technically it's incorrect. It should not play the file from cloud unless it's 100% backed up. Assuming it's completely backed up, i deleted from the phone drive. However, i could see that it did not backup completely due to the settings "Daily limit on the backup". this was only 10MB by default while i should have set up at "Unlimited".

This workflow is incorrect. File should be visible but should display as % of uploaded or etc to ensure that it's not completely backed up. Also, it should not play from cloud unless it's 100% uploaded. While playing it's using the local file, which is wrong.

Towards the bottom, there is a section called "Cellular data back up". (Data charges may apply) we recommend using WiFi.

Tap next to Photos to enable it, then you can choose to enable Videos as well if you would like once Photos is enabled.

If a deleted photo or video isn't in trash, you can’t restore it. You won't be able to restore a photo if:

You can't do very much because Google is very slow in resetting your counter for reasons unknown to us since years. But check one.google.com/storage because you may have 5 GB now on Drive due to the remains of the Google Photos folder there which you may have chosen long agoo. Normally that folder did not count, but after removing the originals at Photos from before July 2019, these copies start to count.

If not synced to your pc, you can remove that folder from Drive and thereafter from the trash in Drive.

And check one.google.com/storage/management on other hidden GB's.

So I went through and checked, on my Drive account it gives me a different reading than the Photos memory. On Drive it tells me I have used 10GB, on Photo it tells me I've used 13.9GB. Will it stop backing up once it reaches capacity on Photo despite there actually being room?

No Google here - just volonteers.

Apparently it were people who are using Google Photos also, because we also can have a Gmail-account and just use Gmail only. But many just have a Gmail-account because of having an Android and then they also can use Google Photos without using Gmail ever.

However: for pure sharing the receiver does not need to have a Google account.

So I only can guess that these people automatically shift-out the row when you would start to share with other people now and these can be found under More... :-)

Personally, I would just use a tool like LibreOffice Draw or Writer if I ever had this need (but can't really remember ever needing to change a jpeg to a pdf).

Maybe needed for some insurance document for a company that still lives in the middle ages :-)

If you open Google Drive via the 9 dots, you can start a New document and then you can insert that picture in that document from the folder where that picture is stored on your computer (or in Google Photos).

And then you can download it as a pdf-file back to you computer via the File-menu.

Then you can close Google Drive again and you may delete the document later there.

I have now a new account with more space and I would like to migrate all those albums to the new account preserving the albums, annotations, and so on. I couldn't find an easy way to do it, I only managed to copy all photos but not even the album names were preserved. Is there any way (built-in or by a 3rd party) to do it?, do I have to manually create each album again and place all the text, info, maps, etc.. on each one of them?

WIth 250 albums, I think no matter what you do will require some serious work and/or pain.. See this thread for some ideas.. https://support.google.com/photos/thread/108058913

Test just sharing a few individual albums from one account to the other (having two different browsers open or one in a normal window and one in an incognito window might speed up the process).. If this works, then carefully proceed through all your albums and try not to lose track.

Always make sure that you save critical / irreplaceable images in more than one place.

Don't delete anything until you are absolutely positively sure your copies were successful and the images are actually in (not just visible in the new account).

If anybody else has any time saving ideas, please chime in.
