• Reversible - If so, you will find an option "Revert" the moment you take up the same picture for editing
• Irreversible. However, the app doesn't allow us to replace the original. A copy is saved in the folder "PhotoEditor" and the original remains intact. Thus, you should be able to locate the original if you remember the date.

Your missing photos or videos may not be backed up to Google Photos. Your backup settings are important to how and when Google Photos backs up your items.

Review backup settings

2. At the top right, tap your account profile photo or initial  Photos settings .
3. Tap Back up & sync.
4. Check your settings:
   • Back up & sync: Make sure "Back up & sync" is turned on.
   • Backup account: Make sure you back up your photos and videos to the right Google Account.
   • Back up device folders: If you want to see photos and videos from other apps or devices in your Google Photos Account, make sure you turn on your available device folders.
   • When to back up: Make sure you know when Google Photos backs up your photos and videos. You can choose to back up items over mobile data.

In general a PDF is a document file that can be send by mail to anyone and can be viewed by anyone without the need of having special apps installed like needed when someone receives a Word-file from you. 

For yourself such a file is not relevant, unless your want to print the picture via your homeprinter on normal paper for reference only.

If you have many images, Method C might be the best.. The time consuming part is just the waiting for the process to compete (possibly several day maybe, maybe more but I have not seen it).

Google Photos never uploads the same picture multiple times.
What we see as duplicates have some difference in file format or metadata.

 

Regrettably, Google Photos doesn't provide any means to remove the apparent duplicates. You have to search those manually.

By "permanently deleted" do you mean you emptied the "Bin" in the phone app or "Trash" on the desktop?

Then that becomes an irreversible action.

Regretfully, once the Bin is emptied, there is no way to recover the pictures through google photos.

Please note that, due to a variety of reasons, not all files can be recovered - but you can try!

 

1. Items deleted from your photos.google.com are stored in trash for 60 days and then are Auto-Deleted from trash and can not be recovered.

 

2. Items deleted manually from photos.google.com/trash can not be recovered.

 

3. Items deleted from your YouTube Channel can not be recovered.

 

4. Items deleted from your Gmail are stored in trash for 30 days and then are Auto-Deleted from trash and can not be recovered.

 

5. Items manually deleted from Gmail trash can not be recovered.

 

6. Items deleted from your Google Drive  will be stored in Drive Trash for 30 days and then be Auto-Deleted from Trash and can not be recovered.

 

1).If you are using a regular personal account

iPhones have nasty habits which may block backupping after some system-upgrade. Do check in the general settings for the Google Photos app if working in background is allowed and if some battery savings intelligence is hindering such backupping in background. 

So there maybe nothing wrong with your wifi, but I don't understand what you mean with Startlink.

I don't recognise your screenshot as being normal for Drive in my Gmail-account - maybe you are on some Gsuite account, because I have no problem to upload a normal picturefile like a screenshot (a png-file mostly) into some folder in my Google Drive app.

These names are not fixed on the photos. 

If you download some to your computer or to your phone (device) or to your own library, the names are gone. 

But if you don't like to see these names in the shared album at all, you should switch-off collaboration in the album-options. But then the comments and pictures from other people will disappear.

PS: you can use the feedback option under your profile to ask Google for something better.

Probably you want to do something what is not possible anymore - maybe due to Android-11. 

If I want to move a picture in album A to album B, I just hit the + and then select album B. 

Thereafter you need to delete that picture from album A and then you need to select "Remove from album" under the 3 dots. 

But perhaps you are not talking about albums, but about device folders like Camera.
