Please note that, due to a variety of reasons, not all files can be recovered - but you can try!

1. Items deleted from your photos.google.com are stored in trash for 60 days and then are Auto-Deleted from trash and can not be recovered.

2. Items deleted manually from photos.google.com/trash can not be recovered.

3. Items deleted from your YouTube Channel can not be recovered.

4. Items deleted from your Gmail are stored in trash for 30 days and then are Auto-Deleted from trash and can not be recovered.

5. Items manually deleted from Gmail trash can not be recovered.

6. Items deleted from your Google Drive will be stored in Drive Trash for 30 days and then be Auto-Deleted from Trash and can not be recovered.

If you don't have uploaded large moviefiles which easily can be a few GB each very recently, this nasty miracle is unexplainable and also will cause that your gmail (if used) get blocked.

Please do check one.google.com/storage/management on unsupported videos mainly and other fat stuff which can be deleted.

Be aware that using original quality uploads on Photos always will count and even with 13 GB you already should have started to pay for additional storage via one.google.com/storage

And using Gmail and Drive always will count.

PS: please don't start panic bulk deletions on photos.google.com to prevent further complications at Google. Better to report via the feedback option under the question mark immediately.

I completely understand where you're coming from. However, just to let you know that Picasa and Picasa Web Albums are no longer available. Picasa has been migrated/switched to the Google Photos.

You can simply "log in" to Google Photos, all your photos and videos from Picasa and Picasa Web Albums will be there, and you will be able to access, modify, and share most of that content and you can also continue to upload photos and videos and organize your memories.

Are you not finding the pictures on the cloud storage?

If yes, then, either, you can download photos one by one. Regrettably, there is no option to do so on a batch of photos.

Or, you can arrange for a bulk download by visiting the link https://takeout.google.com/ 

Select the Google Photos app for data download.

Once the file is ready, you will get an email. Access that & unzip all the attachments into your phone's gallery.

That will bring everything to your phone.

Deleting all is a very bad method and may have deleted all originals on phone primarily and your backup at Google also. And then you end up with nothing, because most people also empty the trash also and neglect the warning that this deletion will be permanent.

So I may hope that you still can recover some, because that trash has a limited capacity.

For reasons unknown, Google may need days or even weeks to reset your counter to zero for Photos.

Please complain via the feedback option in the app under your profile.

Also check one.google.com/storage/management for hidden files like unsupported videos.

It might be that you've free up space in your device through Google Photos by following the below steps because of which the photos are missing from your device:

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
Sign in to your Google Account.
Tap Menu.
Select Free up space
You'll see how many items will be removed. To delete all the items from your phone, tap Free up.
To see your photos and videos, go to photos.google.com or open the Google Photos app .

Please share some screenshot of the Free up space option of your Google Photos. Also, redact any personal information while sharing the same.

In the meantime, could you please check if you're trying to restore some photos? If yes, please check if the photos are present in the Trash of Google Photos? If yes, please restore them through the below steps:

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
At the top left, tap Menu.
Click on Trash.
Touch and hold the photo or video you want to recover.
At the bottom, tap Restore. The photo or video will be back:

In your phone.
Into the "Photos" section of the app.
Into any albums it was in.

But if you've already deleted the photos from the Trash from your Google Photos, there is no other way to restorethem.

That being said, if you would like to see this feature implemented in the future, I recommend leaving feedback about it through the following steps:

Open Google Photos.
Click on Menu.
Select Send feedback.
Click on Send.

The product team reviews the feedback regularly and uses it to better improve the product overtime.

The free up space option is to be used at regular intervals.

Accumulating a large number may create problems.

Nevertheless, you can create that additional space through these steps.

First, ensure all the photos are backed up.
To verify that, [lease visit the link https://photos.google.com through any browser on your phone & check that everything is visible there.
Once assured, open the Photos app again.
Long press the first picture till a tick appears.
Then, while still in pressed condition, stroke down to select multiple pictures.
Once a sizable number of pics are selected, tap the three dots at the top right corner & tap the option "Delete from device".
You may have to repeat this action till the "Free up space" option remains unresponsive.

Nevertheless, after having created a sizable amount of space in the internal memory of the phone, the option will work removing the rest of the pics automatically.

I started using google photo's since a few weeks with a huge collection of photo's seperated over a huge amount of albums (which were folders).

But now I have huge trouble finding and managing/sorting pictures.

There are pictures that are not in any album, but there seem to be no way to view those loose pictures.

Some are recent, so they appear pretty high in the list. But there are also loose pictures that are a lot older.

It is impossible to find these back when I can not make a filter or a view in which I exclude everything that is already inside an album.

I think in general it would be very handy to be able to make views (wether it's standard ones or ones we could make ourselves). (alfatbeth, tags?, size, in album or not?, etc).

Please help me find my pictures back by making it possible for us users to have a more user friendly way to find them.

It is a bit strange that you never have seen Google Photos before, because I assume that you have used Picasaweb before - else I don't understand why you have so many albums, because they were automatically synced from your folders in Picasa until Eastern 2018.

But there is no way to find these loose pictures in your librarystream then by starting on top and open the picture with its infopanel opened like shown below (this one is present in two albums):

Then you can use the arrow key to go to the next one and if you found a loose picture, tap the 3 dots on top and select Add to album and give that new album a name like "Loosers".

And then gradually you get that album filled until you have reached the bottom of your library.

You does not need to get ready in one hour - just note on what date you have stopped because the library is sorted on dates only - recent on top. And there is a calendar if you move the mouse to the right border.

There is no general way to find random pictures if you never have typed text with important words like shown right-up. But without these words, Google also would have found this picture by just typing "tree".

Albums are automatically sorted on the most recent dates in their contents and that contents can be sorted on dates also or the reverse. Manual sorting is possible when you choose Album edit under its 3 dots, but that is a hell of a job. Sorting on filenumbers is not possible, but asked for 999x and that can be quite problematic with scanned pictures without correct dates.

We are users, so you need to suggest your ideas straight to Google via the feedback option in the main menu of https://photos.google.com under the 3 small lines left-up.

Forgot to warn: albums work different from the former albums on Picasaweb which were acting like folders.

Now albums are virtual collections and can be deleted without deleting the originals in your librarystream.

But if you delete one picture in that stream, it also will be deleted from all albums it was assigned to.

2) Share all your photo albums to your new google account.

3) In the new account, create new albums to mirror the albums that have been shared.

So why did you need a new account?

You can't close a Gmail-account without loosing the documents stored on Drive (if used) and your pictures stored on Photos and your mail (if used).

So why did you need a new account?

New Android perhaps.

Or no space at Google anymore?

Or some relational reason?

If not, then you can go on with your old account in the Google Photos app right-up and if done well all pictures will appear.

2. Go to the Left Menu > My apps section

3. Make sure no updates are waiting to be installed

Additionally you can go to Play Store > Left menu > Settings > Auto-update apps and set your preferences for auto-updating apps.
