Trump news on Youtube Jan 14 2019

President Donald Trump has reiterated his willingness to declare a national emergency to build the border wall if Congressional Democrats don't play ball

'I have the absolute right to call a national emergency.Other presidents have called many national emergencies for things of lesser importance, frankly, than this,' Trump said on Saturday night in a live telephone interview with Fox News' Jeanine Pirro

The government shutdown, now the longest ever, dragged into its 23rd day on Sunday, as Trump insisted on $5

7billion to build a Mexico border wall that congressional Democrats oppose.Pressed by Pirro to go ahead and declare and emergency, Trump said: 'Well, that might happen

But I want to give them [Democrats] a chance to see if they can act responsibly.' 'And if they don't do it, if they don't come to their senses, you know what I'll do? We'll do a national emergency

We're all set. It's 100 per cent, and I'll have to do that,' he said.Trump reiterated his argument that crime, illegal drugs, and human trafficking are creating a national security and humanitarian crisis at the border, and that a wall is needed

'We need a wall, very simple.Whether you call it a steel barrier, wall, doesn't matter, but we need a very strong structure,' Trump said

Trump also blasted Democrats for attending a winter retreat in Puerto Rico, where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other lawmakers attended the opening night of Hamilton with creator and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda back in the lead

'I'd rather see the Democrats come back from their vacation and act,' Trump said.'They're not acting, and they're the ones that are holding it up

It would take me 15 minutes to get a deal done, and everybody could go back to work

But I'd like to see them act responsibly, and they're not acting responsibly, and that's it,' he continued

Trump added: 'I haven't actually left the White House in months,' with the exception of a Christmas visit to troops in Iraq and Germany

Trump's last visit to one of his resort properties came over Thanksgiving weekend

Lawmakers are due back in Washington from their states and congressional districts in the new week

An emergency declaration by Trump could break the stalemate by letting him use existing, unspent money to build the U

S.-Mexico border wall, without needing congressional approval.Democrats oppose that step but may be unable to stop it

Many Republicans are wary, too.Nevertheless the administration has accelerated planning for it

Officials explored diverting money from a range of accounts, including $13.9billion given to the Army Corps of Engineers after last year's deadly hurricanes and floods

That option appeared to lose steam following an outcry.Other possibilities included tapping asset forfeiture funds, such as money seized from drug kingpins, according to a congressional Republican not authorized to speak publicly about private conversations

The White House also was eyeing military construction money, another politically difficult choice because it would take away from a backlog of hundreds of projects

Trump has been counseled by outside advisers to move toward declaring a national emergency for the 'crisis' that he says exists at the southern border

This, as polls suggest Trump is getting most of the blame for the shutdown. But some in the White House are trying to apply the brakes

Jared Kushner was among those opposed to the declaration, arguing to his father-in-law that pursuing a broader immigration deal was a better option

A person familiar with White House thinking said that in meetings this past week, the message was that the administration is in no rush and wants to consider various options

The person was unauthorized to discuss private sessions and spoke on condition of anonymity

Pelosi argued that Trump is merely trying to steer attention away from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation and other White House problems

'This is a big diversion, and he's a master of diversion,' she told reporters.Trump has told advisers he believes the fight for the wall, even if he never gets money for it, is a political win for him

Some of the outside advisers who want him to declare a national emergency say it could have two benefits

First, it would allow him to claim that he was the one to act to reopen the government

Second, inevitable legal challenges would send the matter to court, allowing Trump to continue the fight for the wall - and continue to excite his supporters - while not actually closing the government or immediately requiring him to start construction

But while that might end the standoff and allow Congress to move to other priorities, some Republicans believe such a declaration would usurp congressional power and could lead future Democratic presidents to make similar moves to advance liberal priorities

'Most conservatives want it to be the last resort he would use,' said Rep.Mark Meadows, R-N

C.,a leader of the conservative House Freedom Caucus who speaks to Trump frequently

'But those same conservatives, I'm sure if it's deployed, would embrace him as having done all he could do to negotiate with Democrats

Breaking News Today - Trump fails to DENY is Putin's secret agent but labels the question the most i - Duration: 6:37.

President Donald Trump has blasted the notion that he is a secret agent for Russia, following a report that the FBI had investigated that possibility in 2017

One day after the New York Times made the claim, Fox New's Jeanine Pirro posed the question to Trump in an interview on Saturday night, asking: 'Are you now or have you ever worked for Russia, Mr

President?' 'I think it's the most insulting thing I've ever been asked,' Trump replied

'I think it's the most insulting article I've ever had written.' 'It was a great insult, and the New York Times is a disaster as a paper,' Trump said

Citing unnamed former law enforcement officials, the Times reported that the FBI opened the combined criminal and counterintelligence probe into Trump in May of 2017

Trump fired Comey on May 9, 2017, citing a letter from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein that sharply criticized Comey's handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation

However, the FBI grew concerned that Trump was acting on behalf of Russian interests by firing Comey, the report claims

Trump dismissed the notion in Saturday's interview, but without ever directly denying that he was working as a secret agent for Russia

Trump said he fired Comey because 'he was a terrible liar, and he did a terrible job as the FBI director

' 'And, obviously, nothing was found,' Trump said of the alleged investigation. No evidence has publicly emerged in the 20 months since Comey was fired that indicate Trump is a secret agent, or that he engaged in a criminal conspiracy with the Russian government

'I can tell you this, if you ask the folks in Russia, I've been tougher on Russia than anybody else,' Trump said

Robert Mueller took over the FBI investigation when he was appointed special counsel soon after Comey's firing

The overall investigation is looking into Russian election interference and whether Trump's campaign coordinated with the Russians, as well as possible obstruction of justice by Trump

The Times says it's unclear whether Mueller is still pursuing the counterintelligence angle

Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani told the Times he had no knowledge of the inquiry but said that since it was opened a year and a half ago and they hadn't heard anything, apparently 'they found nothing

' Trump has also repeatedly and vociferously denied collusion with the Russians.Trump also responded to a new report from the Washington Post claiming that he confiscated his translator's notes about at least one of his meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and ordered the linguist not to discuss the conversations with other top U

S.officials.Citing unnamed current and former U.S.officials, the Washington Post reported on Saturday that Trump had taken extraordinary measures to conceal the contents of his meetings with Putin

The Post claims that Trump confiscated his translator's notes after he and Putin first met in person on July 7, 2017 on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Hamburg

The leaders spoke for about three hours, and then-U.S.Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and the U

S.interpreter were present for the meeting, as well as Russian Foreign Minster Sergei Lavrov and Putin's translator

'I'm not keeping anything under wraps - I couldn't care less, it's so ridiculous,' Trump fired back in the interview with Pirro

'Anybody could have listened to that meeting, it is open for grabs. The whole Russia thing it's a hoax, it's a total hoax, everybody knows it

' 'Think of it, I had a one-on-one meeting with Putin, like I do with every other leader

I have many one-on-one, nobody ever says anything about it, but with Putin they say, 'Oh what did they talk about?' We talked about very positive things,' Trump added, saying that Israel was among the topics discussed

Trump also said: 'The Washington Post, that's basically the lobbyists for Amazon - [Jeff] Bezos has bigger problems than anybody right now, but Bezos uses that as his lobbyist

Donald Trump orders U.S. Army to find money for his wall, which could drain Everglades funding - Duration: 5:55.

Ahigh-ranking civilian official with the U.S.Army confirmed today that the White House has ordered the military branch to find money to build a wall on the Mexican border, DailyMail

com has learned.Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army Ryan Fisher, whose U

S.Army Corps of Engineers could be involved in the wall's construction if President Donald Trump declares an emergency, said in an exclusive interview with DailyMail

com that the country faces a national security issue.'Look, we're facing a national security issue,' he said

'We're waiting for more orders.' If the wall were to be green-lighted, however, Fisher hinted that major civil engineering projects like flood control, dyke repairs and fish and wildlife restoration could end up delayed or temporarily stopped during the wall's construction

Fisher appeared today before 200-plus Florida environmental activists at the annual Everglades Coalition Conference in Duck Key to talk about Everglades restoration, the re-establishment of a cleansing natural water flow in a 734-square-mile area besieged by development

The giant swamp west of Miami has been ailing, according to scientists, and the water supplies for nearly 10 million residents as well as dozens of animal species are under threat

Recently, algae blooms in Everglades waters caused by overdevelopment and agriculture overflew toward the state's Gulf and East coasts and caused respiratory problems for residents, fish kills and a tourism slowdown

After years of wrangling, state and federal authorities hatched one of the largest-scale hydrologic restoration projects ever and started construction of reservoirs, flood control devices and canals at the projected cost of $20 billion

If Trump were to declare the wall a national emergency and force the Corps to build it, one of the key agencies in the restoration could see its Everglades funding dry out

'I shouldn't make any comments on the wall because I might find that I'm contradicting myself as soon as I check the news on my phone,' said Fisher, a political appointee who worked as a legislative director for Vice President Mike Pence when he served as U

S.Congressman.'But the president has asked us whether, if he declares the wall an emergency, we'd be ready

'We assured him we'd be ready.' The Corps then would have to be selective on which routine project it would discontinue

'We would need to decide whether other civil works project are not essential to national defense,' Fisher said as some activists grumbled

Fisher was asked whether building the wall could take money away from the giant anti-pollution Everglades project

He didn't rule out taking the Everglades money but tried to reassure the audience that the project is important

'We assured the president we would find the money (for the wall), but we would have to take money away from unobligated projects,' Fisher repeated

He hinted that that the Everglades restoration is among those.'Everglades Restoration, however, is well advocated among politicians and activists in Florida,' he said, telling the audience not to worry

He told DailyMail.com: 'We're not at a point where we are choosing projects. But, the (Everglades) restoration could be considered a non-essential project

' Like many worried activists in the Keys, Celeste De Palma, the director of Everglades policy at the Florida Audubon Society, said she was surprised by Fisher's admission

'(Fisher's) remarks are interesting, and it's interesting he volunteered the information,' she said

Trump MOCKS Jim Acosta Over BORDER WALL VIDEO Then All Hell BROKE LOOSE On CNN(VIDEO)!!! - Duration: 11:01.

Trump MOCKS Jim Acosta Over BORDER WALL VIDEO Then All Hell BROKE LOOSE On CNN

here are some of the steel slats that the president's been talking about right

here as we're walking along here we're not seeing any kind of imminent danger

there are no migrants trying to rush toward this fence here in the McAllen

Texas area no sign of the national emergency that the president has been

talking about as a matter of fact it's pretty tranquil down here okay

so here I am in front of a wall and there are no illegals crossing eggs some

people

some people some people might call that cause and effect but not Jim they have

nothing to do with each other you know he should do more of this you know Here

I am holding an umbrella in the rain and my god I am dry clearly there's no rain

now when I put on these sunglasses suddenly the sun's glare is gone

obviously the Sun has gone missing but I wonder if Trump appreciated the

sales pitch oh my god I don't care I don't care what you think of Trump you

could put him on Rushmore for that alone as for poor Jim that wasn't even the

worst part of his week

yesterday man who promised at the roll the whole truth and nothing but the

truth so help you God I advise you to

make sure that goes viral this is why by the way this is why I'm one of the only

people around here at the time of day I explained the gutless alternative

information additional facts and I explained it many times and don't you

put it back in my face for all the corrections at your networking issue I

have a public service announcement and now a public service announcement if you

happen to come across too fleshy prune sized orbs rolling down Pennsylvania

Avenue please put them on ice and promptly returned them to Jim Acosta

this has been a public service announcement so the crisis is now a

circus how did this happen well we know that the media makes everything worse

including even politics which is already the worst thing ever politics is the

invisible gas that seeps into any discussion Dillons Jim Acosta botched

this attempt to take down of the president here are some of the steel

slats that the president's been talking about right here as you can see yes you

can't see through these slats to the other side of the us-mexico border but

as we're walking along here we're not seeing any kind of imminent danger there

are no migrants trying to rush toward this fence here in the McAllen Texas

area as a matter of fact there are some other businesses behind me along this

highway there's a gas station Burger King and so on but no sign of the

national emergency that the president has been talking about as a matter of

fact it's pretty tranquil down here pretty tranquil because walls work Jim I

think he just made the president's point for him Greg that was paid for by the

Donald Trump 2020 a reelection campaign I mean he's in a spot at a wall and says

see there's no problem dumber than we initially thought which

says a lot or I'm thinking this could be a really long prank like you know Andy

Kaufman when Andy Kaufman pretended to be this

in character all the way till his death I think that he is playing this role and

by the way it's amazing look the media has no credit credibility on

this issue because just weeks ago they called this a humanity in humanitarian

crisis right there were people rushing the border there were caravans or people

died their suffering and then when Donald Trump agrees and says this is a

humanitarian crisis they turn it into this mocking tone what crisis there's no

crisis here look at this wall I mean they're the biggest hypocrites it is

hard not to despite it's hard to like them it's easy to despise the problem is

that Obama called this a humanitarian crisis Trump tweeted that out and the

media is on record so many times as having defended him and so many times as

having come in to defend Chuck Schumer and all those Democrats that voted for

border security that now they're panicked about how they can flip that

now to hate Trump for espousing the very same things that all those Democrats did

that the media backed them up on that's their problem I don't get that at all so

the media of all of them gather down there to look at the photo-op here and

you have the Border Patrol and they make an announcement that 90% of the traffic

comes in this sector where there's no barrier okay six only six percent of the

traffic comes where there is a barrier you'd think the media would take an

expert opinion like this and maybe write it down in one of their news stories and

show hey the experts on the ground say walzwerk

no they that's that's again that's how you distort numbers here's what here's

the reality there's not a wall across most of the border Jesse I understand a

very specific sector I think really slows down okay let's let me just say

the media went down there the President himself and I think a lot of the anger

at the media came from the session with anchors that was supposed to be off the

record New York Times reports the president said he didn't

give the speech on Tuesday night he didn't want to go to the book didn't see

the purpose and then point at the people behind him Kelly and Conway Sarah

Huckabee Sanders bill shine and said these people think it's a good idea

apparently he didn't but here's the reality you have a situation that

violated the off the right we also then if you know what I thought this was the

most transparent president ever have it on the record you guys certainly mind

reading now you know exactly what he's thinking at every time any retweet see

what so you retweet he doesn't retweet the meeting he repeats her retweets Brad

Pascal Don Bonjean Oh Charlie kochenko okay so Trump is active on social media

Thank You Juan Dana yes so you have these off-the-record things and and then

you go down there for this opportunity to showcase the border the media is

following along do you think this is gonna make any impact with the press

whatsoever well what the thing about the the author record being violated I that

is I don't think it was that egregious necessarily I would not like it if it

happened to mean but I also would not be surprised if there weren't other people

who were calling Maggie Haberman the New York Times reporter and telling her that

exact same thing because we know this is what happens the White House will say

that's not true and then three months later you find out that is exactly what

happened the government shutdown continues at this hour is the debate

over a border wall enters its fourth contentious week

neither side in this has shown any sign of willingness to compromise this

remains a stalemate as of now the very definition of it or at least that's what

it seems like from the outside in fact this debate is over we're not getting a

barrier along our southern border we can't not now not ever that possibility

was permanently destroyed today by a fact seeking missile of truth launched

by one of our country's premier cable news outlets in a single devastating act

of journalism CNN killed the wall took their biggest guns to do it the network

dispatched his chief White House correspondent slash moral philosopher

slash Renaissance poet Jim Acosta to the us-mexico border specifically to the

town of Kalen Texas once on the ground in

McAllen Acosta wasted no time in proving once and for all that walls don't work

watch the stand up that changed history here are some of the steel slats that

the president's been talking about but as we're walking along here we're not

seeing any kind of imminent danger there are no migrants trying to rush toward

this fence here in the McAllen Texas area no sign of the national emergency

that the president has been talking about as a matter of fact it's pretty

tranquil down here you see that take that you nativist bigot freaks you

creepy wall obsessives Jim Acosta just spanked you he was there not in some

cushy air-conditioned studio in Washington with the rest of the Talking

Heads but in the field on the scene doing the kind of hard-boiled

shoe-leather reporting that has made Jim Acosta a household name a casa went

right to the wall itself the very wall he finds immoral and is often argued

against at press conferences and what Jim Acosta found there will shock you

not a single illegal alien was anywhere near that wall there was no tent city

there were no predatory gang members or coyotes ms-13 not there

there was no sad suffering caravan everything was just fine whereas Jim

Acosta so memorably put it the area around that steel barrier was pretty

tranquil see that's what you get when you build walls America tranquility and

that's the last thing we need more of in this country more peaceful bucolic

scenes like that wait I can't really been seen on its point could it now it's

getting confusing left to call Jim Acosta once he gets back from his latest

mission and clear this up in the meantime no we just want to give you

some idea of how stupid and buffoonish the wall coverage has been recently in

case you missed it thank you god bless you and God bless america

Trump Hires Army Of Lawyers To Protect Him From Mueller - Duration: 3:46.

With all of the talk recently about Donald Trump's border wall, his address earlier this

week, meeting with the Democrats has misspelled tweet about California fires and FEMA.

Uh, it's easy to forget that the man is still under these massive investigations that threatened

the legitimacy of his entire presidency.

It's easy for the public to forget that, but you know, who hasn't forgotten it.

Donald Trump himself.

In fact, this whole wall government shutdown business has been a great distraction for

him to beef up his legal team behind the scenes without the public paying attention.

According to reports, the White House has hired at least 17 more lawyers in order to

fight off the upcoming Mueller report from the Special Prosecutor's office.

17 new lawyers basically amassing an army of attorneys to help fight back whatever is

going to come out of the Robert Mueller report, which the administration expects could come

as soon as the beginning of February.

So we could just be a couple of weeks away from this final report coming out.

We could also, based on past investigations into presidents, be several years away from

the final report coming out.

That's the scary thing we don't know, but this administration is sure as hell preparing

themselves to fight off whatever happens and one of the jobs that these lawyers are trying

to do is figure out how Donald Trump can block the release of the report from the American

public.

Now, if he is able to do this, I promise you, fear not there is going to be away for this

stuff to get leaked out to the press.

You know somebody is going to get their hands on it and it's going to become public.

Whether it's somebody that worked on the team, somebody inside the government trying to be

a hero or hell, maybe just the Democrats subpoenaing it, getting it and then releasing it.

Either way, if Trump tries to hide it, the hiding is not going to last very long, so

that's not something that I'm even particularly worried about.

Plus if he attempts to do that, just go ahead and add one more tally mark to the list of

things we can impeach him for.

But here's the thing, the molar report, while a lot of people's a us, the big one, we got

to wait for that.

When we got to wait for that one, even I've said that in the past, there are still plenty

of impeachable offenses that the president has already committed that we know about that

we could impeach him for.

We technically don't even need that.

We do not need the molar report.

I mean, we already know he's individual one and the Michael Cohen, a campaign finance,

uh, uh, criminal activity, we know that we know about the charitable fraud that took

place with his organization, which is also a crime.

Those are known and those are 100 percent impeachable offenses and those are happening

up in New York where he can't pardon himself or his kids.

That's what's so great about those.

Nonetheless, he seems to be focused on the molar report, which to me kind of tells us

that this one would be the most damaging to his ego.

Not necessarily his presidency, but two is ego.

Because we have seen this man do all sorts of things that have undermined the legitimacy

that have been borderline impeachable offenses since the day he became president.

The only thing he cares about is his ego, so there must be something that they know

about in that molar report that's just at the very least going to make Donald Trump

look like a pathetic and weak individual.
