Trump news on Youtube Jul 9 2018

President Donald Trump's legal team has reportedly set new conditions for any potential interview

between the president and special counsel Robert Mueller's team.

Among other conditions, President Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani told The New York Times

there needed to be concrete evidence the president committed a crime before he'd agree to speak

with Mueller and his team.

The Times notes this is part of a shift to a more combative stance for the president's

legal team, which had been relatively cooperative with the investigation into Russian meddling

in the 2016 presidential election.

Giuliani has made a number of different statements about what Trump's lawyers would demand of

Mueller to secure an interview.

But Giuliani told the Times it was unlikely Mueller would accept the demands.

And back in January, the president himself said he'd like to talk to Mueller under oath.

Trump said he will make Supreme Court decision Sunday night or Monday - 247 news - Duration: 9:01.

President Donald Trump said he will make his decision on who to nominate to the Supreme Court on Sunday night or Monday as he is 'getting very close' to a final call on the next justice

'I'm getting very close to making a final decision,' he told reporters as he left the Trump National Golf Course Bedminster in New Jersey on Sunday to return to the White House

'I'll probably be decided tonight or tomorrow sometime by 12 o'clock. I think we're all going to be meeting at 9 o'clock,' he added

It was unclear if he meant a meeting at 9 p.m. Sunday night or 9 a.m. on Monday morning or if the president was referring to his 9 p

m. announcement scheduled for Monday night. One finalist said to be on his Supreme Court short-list has the family blessing - the endorsement of the president's sister Maryanne Trump Barry

U.S. Appeals Court Judge Thomas Hardiman served on the 3rd Circuit court of appeals with Trump's older sister

Hardiman was also a finalist on the president's last Supreme Court short list when Trump ended up nominating Neil Gorsuch

Trump Barry, who advocated for Hardiman the last time around, has given him her strong endorsement again, The Hill newspaper reported

The president has a fresh interest in Hardiman, The New York Times reported, having come close to picking him in 2007

Trump reportedly likes Hardiman's personal story.  He was the first person in his family to finish college, graduating from Notre Dame

His father was a cab drive and Hardiman continued the family business while putting himself through Georgetown Law School

He also speaks fluent Spanish, studied abroad in Mexico, and volunteered at a Ayuda, an immigration legal aid office in Washington D

C. Trump has said he'll name his pick to replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy on Monday evening at 9 p

m. His choice will likely shape the court for years to come and move the bench to right, replacing the swing vote Kennedy with a more conservative jurist

And the conservative base likes Hardiman. Conservatives like his stance on the second amendment, where he's ruled that two convicted felons should not be barred from access to guns because their crimes were not violent in nature

The judge also has a reputation as a reliable conservative on the federal appeals court in Philadelphia

And there is one one hot-button issue that Hardiman has not weighed in on in a judicial setting: abortion

The lack of a paper trail on the controversial issue could help him in the confirmation process as there would not be a record for Democrats to pick through during questioning

Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer took to twitter Sunday afternoon to slam Hardiman's credentials

'Thomas Hardiman is a judge on the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals & on @realDonaldTrump's pre-approved list for SCOTUS noms, having passed his 'litmus tests' on overturning Roe v

Wade & striking down critical protections in our health care system,' he wrote. The other three names said to be on the president's short list are Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett, and Raymond Kethledge

Share this article Share The Republican leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, is said to be having doubts that Kavanaugh and Barrett could get confirmed

Kavanaugh has a long judicial history for both Republicans and Democrats to pick through during the confirmation process

He was also a lawyer on Ken Starr's team that investigated Bill Clinton and has close ties to the President George W

Bush, whom he serve as staff secretary. Bush appointed Kavanaugh to the federal bench

That long, controversial history could give Democrats an opportunity to deal the confirmation vote into October, when the Supreme Court's new term begins and when the midterm election is looming ahead

Meanwhile, Coney Barrett's strict Catholic faith may work against her, especially on the abortion issue

McConnell needs every Republican vote to a justice confirmed and moderate Republican Sens

Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski support abortion rights.  The Senate leader has told Trump that Kethledge and Hardiman have the fewest obstacles to confirmation, The New York Times reported

Kethledge's background appears to appeal to both Trump and the Senate.Although he lacks the Ivy League pedigree - he went to University of Michigan Law School - he's a hunter, a fisherman and an outdoorsman, traits not to be discounted as it would make it hard for Democrats in the Senate like Sen

Jon Tester or Heidi Heitkamp to oppose him.  And he is has one other thing going for him, Trump is said to love him

A source familiar with the interviews the president conducted last week told Politico Trump 'loved' Kethledge and hit it off with him

'Simple math tells you if John McCain is absent it's a 50/49 Senate. One Republican senator can decide the fate of any Supreme Court nominee,' Democratic Sen

Dick Durbin said on NBC's 'Meet the Press' on Sunday morning.  McConnell has spoken to Trump or White House Counsel Don McGahn, or both, every day since Kennedy announced on June 27 that he was retiring from the court, according to the Times

The senator has told the two men there is no margin of error on the pick because the timing of the Senate's court vote is so close to an election that could hand control of the chamber to Democrats

Three red-state Senate Democrats up for re-election this year voted to confirm Gorsuch and McConnell is hopeful they will support the next nominee

But he is prepared to go forward with only Republican votes, which is why he is sounding notes of caution about Kavanaugh and Barrett

Republican senators, in the meanwhile, took to the influential Sunday public affairs shows to argue any of the four contenders could get confirmed

'Republicans are holding 4 lottery tickets, and all of them are winners,' Sen. Lindsay Graham said on 'Fox News Sunday

'And Republican Sen. Roy Blunt said on NBC's 'Meet the Press': 'I think we can confirm any of the four names being mentioned

' Additionally, Leonard Leo, who is on leave from the Federalist Society to aide Trump in selecting a jusitce, said on ABC's 'This Week' that he's confident the president and 'can get anybody confirmed

Trump Made A Big Change That Will Have Barack Obama Running For Cover - Duration: 11:36.

Trump Made A Big Change That Will Have Barack Obama Running For Cover

Donald Trump was elected to undo Barack Obama's socialist agenda.

Democrats have fought and obstructed his efforts every step of the way.

In response, Donald Trump announced one big change that left Barack Obama furious.

The media and career bureaucrats at the Environmental Protection Agency colluded in a political

assassination of EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt's career and character.

Liberals pushed a months-long smear campaign of exaggerated claims that eventually became

too much for Pruitt.

Pruitt fell on his sword and Donald Trump tweeted that he had accepted Pruitt's resignation

and that Deputy Director Andrew Wheeler would take over as Acting Administrator:

"I have accepted the resignation of Scott Pruitt as the Administrator of the Environmental

Protection Agency.

Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him

for this.

The Senate confirmed Deputy at EPA, Andrew Wheeler, will…

…on Monday assume duties as the acting Administrator of the EPA.

I have no doubt that Andy will continue on with our great and lasting EPA agenda.

We have made tremendous progress and the future of the EPA is very bright!"

Pruitt's ruthless effectiveness in rolling back Obama's anti-American agenda made him

public enemy number one on the left and in the media.

So they coordinated a campaign to destroy him.

So-called "journalists" ditched the façade of nonpartisanship to dance on Pruitt's

grave and rub their victory in conservative's faces.

But the media's celebration was short lived.

Myron Ebell – who ran Trump's Environmental Protection Agency team during the transition

– told the Daily Caller in an exclusive interview that Wheeler would continue implementing

Donald Trump's pro-America agenda.

The Daily Caller reports:

"I think there will be a temporary setback, but it's the President's agenda, not Pruitt's,

and I think Andrew Wheeler is fully committed to implementing that agenda," Myron Ebell,

who headed Trump's EPA transition team, told TheDCNF.

"My guess is that it will be full speed ahead at EPA after the shock wears off,"

said Ebell, the director of energy and global warming policy at the free-market Competitive

Enterprise Institute.

The Environmental Protection Agency is the Holy Grail for the left.

Liberals use this agency to push junk science and fake news under the guise of "climate

change" to affect every aspect of Americans lives.

It's the beachhead from which leftists launched policies that turned America from a free market,

capitalist country into a socialist dystopia.

From day one, Scott Pruitt set about ending the EPA's assault on basic American values.

That's why Pruitt was targeted for destruction.

Other cabinet secretaries have continued on unscathed because they aren't seen as effective

or running an agency that the left believes belongs to them.

The kill mission against Pruitt was meant as a message by the media to any Trump official

– if you go against Barack Obama's agenda, we will chop your head off.

Do you believe new EPA Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler will be as effective as Scott

Pruitt?

YUGE! Trump's Pick For Supreme Court LEAKED! History-Making Decision Changes Everything - Duration: 4:36.

YUGE! Trump's Pick For Supreme Court LEAKED!

History-Making Decision Changes Everything

When former Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy decided to step down and retire it

came time for the president to nominate someone.

That is when the rat race began.

Democrats and Republicans have been eating each other alive in order to get the person

they wanted nominated and confirmed.

But a recent news story about one particular Senator shows us that we might know who the

president's Supreme Court nominee is sooner rather than later.

President Trump probably is not going to like the fact that his nominee was given away before

he even had a chance to announce it.

The Daily Mail reported,

"President Donald Trump is teasing the highly anticipated announcement of his Supreme Court

Justice pick, but Republican Senator Orrin Hatch may have ruined the surprise as he hints

the nominee is a woman.

Trump took to Twitter Saturday morning saying: 'Big decision will soon be made on our next

Justice of the Supreme Court!'

He is setting up a primetime announcement for his pick that will fill Justice Anthony

Kennedy's vacancy for Monday at 9pm and has reportedly narrowed down his choices down

to three favorites – federal appeals judges Amy Coney Barrett, Brett Kavanaugh, and Raymond

Kethledge.

Congressman Hatch, who is one of the highest ranking members of the Senate, hinted that

the nominee is a woman in an op-ed article published Friday for Utah newspaper the Deseret

News.

He is also a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, which considers executive nominations

and oversees the Department of Justice.

Hatch dropped his hints by using 'she' and 'her' pronouns in his piece.

'But no matter the nominee's background or credentials, progressives will do everything

they can to paint her as a closet partisan, if not an outright extremist,' he wrote

in his article.

He added: 'I will devote all my energies to ensuring that we confirm the kind of Supreme

Court justice America needs: a justice who says what the law is, not what she wants it

to be; a justice who calls balls and strikes instead of swinging for the fences; a justice

whose foremost allegiance is to the American people and to the Constitution.'

He also lauded the seemingly female nominee as very 'politicized' adding: 'We should

no be surprised when Democrats cry bloody murder at the announcement of the president's

Supreme Court nominee.'

From an original list of 25 possible Supreme Court Justices and after several interviews,

Trump's shortlist reportedly narrowed down to Coney Barrett, Kavanaugh, and Kethledge

– with Coney Barrett being the only woman on the list.

Hatch's words set all eyes on 46-year-old Coney Barrett, a Navy veteran and US Circuit

Court of Appeals Judge for the Seventh Circuit.

She also retweeted Trump's tweet Saturday morning about the big decision.

Trump teased crowds at a campaign rally in Montana Thursday evening with his choice.'

As you know there is now a vacancy on the Supreme Court and if you turn in Monday at

9 o'clock, I think you're going to be extremely happy with the selection, right?'

he said.

'And they're all great.

They're all great,' he added on his selection.

Trump has said he would like to pick a woman but a report indicates he and Coney Barrett

did not click in their interview.

While she would appeal the most to the conservative base her confirmation hearing would be expected

to be the most contiguous, especially if Democrats bring up Roe v. Wade.

Coney Barrett is a strict Catholic.

Kavanaugh, a US Court of Appeals Judge in Maryland who was a White House staff secretary

to George W. Bush from 2003 to 2006, was formerly reported to be a front runner from the start.

But there is talk Kethledge, a Court of Appeals Judge from Michigan, could be the dark horse

who takes the prize as Trump was said to have loved him during their interview.

But the president's final choice may come down to his gut."

If President Trump is able to nominate and confirm a second Supreme Court Justice he

would likely be one of the presidents with the largest number of SCOTUS confirmations.

Now more than ever we need another conservative SCOTUS in order to determine judicial proceedings

on the federal level for the next thirty to fifty years.

Something that is highly powerful, which is why Democrats are working so hard to ensure

this new SCOTUS is not confirmed.

If Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dies as well, considering the fact that she

is well into her 80's, that would allow President Trump to have an even greater level

of influence on the Supreme Court level.

Something that is unheard of in modern history.

The American people need this badly and the White House administration, as a result, must

do everything in their power to ensure a confirmation.

No silly business and no antics.

This is too important and the stakes are too high.

This needs to be one of the top priorities of the Senate and the White House.

TRUMP STUNS DC WITH JEFF SESSIONS ANNOUNCEMENT – LIKELY REPLACEMENT IS FOX NEWS HOST - Duration: 10:52.

TRUMP STUNS DC WITH JEFF SESSIONS ANNOUNCEMENT – LIKELY REPLACEMENT IS FOX NEWS HOST

Over the past few weeks, the relationship between President Donald Trump and Attorney

General Jeff Sessions has been breaking down.

Now, rumors are swirling that Trump is close to firing Sessions and replacing him with

a popular Fox News host.

Mediaite reported that over the past 18 months, Judge Jeanine Pirro has been in contact with

Trump's staffers about the possibility of becoming his attorney general.

Trump is known to favor television personalities over political veterans in many cases, replacing

his former economic adviser, Gary Cohn, with CNBC's Larry Kudlow.

Pirro has made no secret of her disdain for Sessions, who she recently called "the most

dangerous man in America."

She also consistently bashes staffers and critics alike for being insufficiently loyal

to the president.

"The most of powerful prosecutor in the world, the man who holds the scales of justice

in his hands, hides behind the coat tails of a Rod Rosenstein," Pirro recently said.

"This man [Sessions] has done nothing to create confidence that wrongdoers will be

accountable.

He has done nothing to create confidence on the part of the American people of our system

of justice.

And with all the power and might of the Department of Justice behind him, he continues to do

nothing."

Trump took to Twitter earlier this week to slam Sessions once again.

"The Russian Witch Hunt Hoax continues, all because Jeff Sessions didn't tell me

he was going to recuse himself," Trump said in the tweet.

"I would have quickly picked someone else.

So much time and money wasted, so many lives ruined…and Sessions knew better than most

that there was No Collusion!"

Trump: U.S. 'working very closely' on Thai cave rescue - Duration: 2:45.

Trump: U.S. 'working very closely' on Thai cave rescue  President Donald Trump said Sunday the U

S. government is working closely with authorities in Thailand in their attempt to rescue 12 young soccer players and their coach, who have trapped in a cave in the north of the country for more than two weeks

"The U.S. is working very closely with the Government of Thailand to help get all of the children out of the cave and to safety," the president wrote on Twitter

"Very brave and talented people!"  On Sunday morning, four of the soccer players were rescued from the cave and brought to safety

Their names were not disclosed as of yet.  The operation features five Thai and 13 elite foreign divers who are navigating dark, tight passageways and strong currents to reach the team

The team has been stranded in the large complex since they went exploring in the cave after a practice game June 23

Monsoon flooding had cut them off from the outside world and has made previous rescue attempts very difficult

Trump did not specify how the United States was helping in this rescue operation

CNN, however, reported that U.S. military personnel were at the scene providing support and advice

Rudy Giuliani: MUELLER CAN INTERVIEW TRUMP - Duration: 14:23.

welcome back the embattled FBI agent Peter struck Hadding back to Capitol

Hill this week he will testify Thursday and do so in an open hearing at the

House Judiciary and oversight committees following his 11 hour closed-door

session with lawmakers last week joining me now is congressman Andy Biggs who

serves on the Judiciary Committee congressman thank you for joining us

this morning thanks for having me good to do with you

so Peter Strock testified behind closed doors did so for an incredible amount of

time 1011 hours I believe what do you hope to learn from him this time around

out in the opening out in the open considering you've already heard from

him behind closed doors well don't forget

that while he was sitting behind closed doors he had two attorneys kind of

filtering questions and answers so there's a lot left to get to and I think

we're gonna still go back and you know talk about this the biases how he

conducted the investigation don't forget he was the IG said he was the lead

investigator on the Hillary Clinton investigation he's the lead investigator

on the the Russian collusion and then somehow he ended up on Muller

investigation so there's still a lot of bone on that a lot of meat on that bone

regarding of bias and whether he actually was enacting some of that bias

in his investigations Peter Struck's attorney has said there

is a transcript before Peter Straub testifies release it out to the open so

everyone can see it what's wrong with that I don't really have a problem with

that but I think you're talking and and and his attorney knows this if you've

ever done a deposition or worked with with courts getting a transcript done

and getting it done right takes time because I mean he was there for 11 hours

so it's a lengthy transcript he gets to go through it and say well way to say

that wasn't quite right typically before he gets released publicly

there is another investigation speaking of documents the DOJ document requests

that yourself and others on the hill have been calling for saying you want

more documents they did produce more documents are you satisfied with where

things stand right now no I'm completely dissatisfied I'm glad they're finally

dribbling them through but I mean just think about this we have some requests

that have been out almost a year now that they haven't fully responded to but

you know they are getting some out but I think the public just like me are fed up

they want the documents let's let's get them quit dribbling them out let us see

them so I'm glad they're giving us some but I am fraction I mean if they're not

going to give them to us then then we need to take the next steps we can't we

can't just beg them anymore help me bridge the gap though if you

want those documents quickly but you say the transcript needs time I mean it

sounds like if you want everything quickly shouldn't the straw transcript

be out there - well the struck transcript will be out there in a timely

fashion I think but but don't forget like I say some of these requests that

we've made by subpoena to DOJ have been out there for almost a year now that's

that's a long time that's longer than a week all right so let me ask you about a

different investigation out there and that is the one in - the president the

president's one of his top attorneys Rudy Giuliani saying in an interview

with The New York Times over the weekend that there's basically two conditions

that he is setting forth for the president to sit down with Robert

Moeller one that there is evidence that the president committed a crime and two

that it would be essential to ending the investigation here's what Rudy Giuliani

told the New York Times he said quote if they can come to us and show us the

basis and that it's legitimate and that they have uncovered something we can go

from there and assess their objectivity do you think that's a smart a smart play

therefore mr. Giuliani and the president's legal team well maybe a good

PR move I think it's a bad legal move myself I mean the the authority that

that's out there is only if the president is you know if he's committed

a crime then the remedy is impeachment and then once out of office then you can

pursue proceed with the criminal investigation and conclusion of that I

don't think you should sit down I don't think that this is going to be objective

in any way I think it's been a skewed from the start I mean the fact just take

a look at the Muller investigative investigative team they won't even give

us all the names of those people but we know that the the people that are on

there have been revealed to be highly biased against this president which to

me indicates that maybe the investigation itself is tainted and I

wouldn't I would not subject the president to that interview congressman

sit right there if you can for I mean I want to get your thoughts on immigration

I know you've been to the southern border recently

and to your thoughts as well on one of your colleagues there and the house

freedom caucus so so stay there with us meantime we continue to watch what is

happening out in Thailand in the northern part of that country stay stay

with us and we'll be right back here on Sunday morning futures

hello and good Sunday morning to you we will get back to those breaking

developments out of Thailand in just a minute the first president Trump

preparing for his historic Supreme Court announcement tomorrow night as he also

gets ready for what could be a tense meeting with NATO leaders and a sit-down

next week with the Russian President Vladimir Putin plus the stage is set for

yet another explosive hearing on Capitol Hill with the embattled FBI agent Peter

struck who was set to testify publicly for the very first time hello and good

morning i'm blake berman info maria bartiromo and this is sunday morning'

futures it is just one day before President Trump announces his second

Supreme Court nominee and lawmakers are already raising concerns about some of

the candidates I'll sit down with John Malcolm who helped put together the

president's initial judicial list and the leaders of our NATO allies are

bracing for his arrival in Brussels later this week and the president's

upcoming summit with Vladimir Putin I'll get reaction to all that in an

exclusive interview this morning with the US ambassador to Germany Rick

Grinnell plus all eyes will be on Capitol Hill Thursday when Peter struck

testifies publicly before the House Judiciary Committee about his anti-trump

text messages and his role in both the Clinton and Trump investigations I'll

ask one committee member congressman Andy Biggs what he wants to hear from

struck as we look ahead on Sunday morning futures

but first right out of the gate this morning this is a Fox News Alert at

least four boys have now been recovered from that flooded cave in northern

Thailand Thai Navy SEALs backed by an international team of divers and experts

pulling off a remarkable feat here in just the last couple hours and this

dangerous rescue mission has just begun and could last for quite some time

President Trump tweeting out his support just moments ago writing on Twitter

quote the u.s. is working very closely with the government of Thailand to help

get all of the children out of the cave and to safety very brave and talented

people Jeff Paul is live on the ground in mae sai thailand this morning with

the breaking news Jeff where does everything stand right now well Blake

I'm just getting some new information into our hands that another operation to

free more boys will commence in 12 10 to 12 hours that's according to the

governor here in this province where we are 50 foreign divers 40 Thai divers are

currently involved in that rescue operation that has been confirmed now by

the governor has freed at least four of the boys obviously they're trying to get

them out as quickly as possible it's been very raining out here making those

rescue operations only more complicated yesterday while we were out near the

cave site lots of mud out there but certainly lots of resources lots of

people working around the clock to get these boys to safety now we do know that

those boys who have been rescued are being taken to the hospital to be

checked out we do not know their condition the governor said that he had

spoken with at least one of them and said that they are imperfect this is a

perfect situation he didn't go into much detail about their condition but it

sounds like they're getting the care they need right now and more boys could

be headed to safety very soon like Jeff great to hear this morning a story we

will follow all throughout the day here Jeff Paul from Thailand this morning

Jeff thanks meantime the countdown still on this morning to president Trump's

Supreme Court nomination as he prepares to name the second high court pic of his

presidency that'll come tomorrow night 9:00 p.m.

here on the East Coast six appellate court judges are believed to be on the

short list with three possibly maybe four candidates emerging as the top

contenders the president also bracing for

a confirmation fight no doubt about it that will come afterwards with a very

slim Republican majority in the Senate joining me now John Malcolm he is the

vice president of the Institute for constitutional government at the

Heritage Foundation and a former Deputy Assistant Attorney General he also

compiled the list of Supreme Court justice recommendations in 2016 seven of

the eight that you compiled ended up getting onto that list nowt about ratio

yeah no not that at all one of them was Brett Kavanaugh so let's start there he

is 53 years old Yale Law graduate DC Circuit Court of

Appeals so he's a local they're kind of on the farm team for the Supreme Court

but there are also concerns from some that he is not conservative enough and

that he has ties to the W 43 Bush administration we know what the

president thinks about the bushes in some cases are the the critiques that

he's not conservative enough accurate well I don't think so I think the world

of Brett Kavanaugh in addition to gonna yell he clerked for Anthony Kennedy on

the Supreme Court he then worked for under Ken Starr at the Office of the

Inspector General for five years he was a senior adviser to President Bush and

he's written over 300 opinions in his 12 years on the DC Circuit he is highly

regarded by judges across the country he's a committed textualism and and an

originalist cares a lot about separation of powers is not in favor of giving

undue deference to agencies there have been a couple of opinions in which he

actually ruled the way conservatives would want him to rule in terms of

reaching the right outcome but he didn't give the most pure conservative reasons

for reaching that outcome and that's caused some criticism but you know he

sits on a court with a majority of Democrats and he has to appeal to the

Supreme Court to Raymon Catholics 51 years old out of the Sixth Circuit he is

a University of Michigan law grad so not necessarily in the mold of the Ivy

League of which the other eight justices are there was a story in The New York

Times this morning that Mitch McConnell has pointed to kept ledge as one of two

that could possibly have the easiest nomination path do you see it that way

well he hasn't attracted the kind of criticism from a few conservatives that

Brett Kavanagh has and he certainly has a long judicial track record he's been

on the Sixth Circuit I think for ten years now possibly a little bit longer

also clerked for Justice Kennedy University of Michigan is a fine law

school he also wrote a book recently about leader

ship that I think was well done and attracted a lot of attention he'd also

do a fine job as an Associate Justice Amy Coney buried 46 years old Seventh

Circuit she's only been on the Federal Court of Appeals for since November I

believe right so you're talking only seven eight months there are some

questions about whether or not her resume is long enough a Notre Dame law

graduate is the resume there well she hasn't been a judge for very long but

she's been a very distinguished academic for a long time she was at GW and then

University of Virginia and since 2002 she was at Notre Dame

she has compiled an impressive body of scholarship was supported by scholars

across the political aisle around the country during her confirmation hearing

and of course held up as grace under fire during her confirmation hearing and

then there's also Thomas Hartman we were led to believe that he finished second

last go-around to Neil Gorsuch to help me out with this if you finished second

last time there's an opening this time why wouldn't hard Hindman be the pick if

you're the president well the calculus changes with each with each pick and

it's a whole new ballgame Tom Hartman has actually been the judge the longest

he was a district court judge in 2003 and he sat on the 3rd circuit since 2006

a very distinguished judge close of course to the president's sister has a

very solid opinions on religious liberty the Second Amendment so it doesn't

surprise me that he's in that final list whether you'll get that knot or not

remains to be seen Democrats are rallying around Roe vs. Wade there will

be if this nominee whoever it is goes through a fifth nominee that was put on

the High Court by a Republican president I want you to take a listen here real

quick - what then candidate Trump said on the tear on the trail during one of

the debates watch do you want to see the court overturn you just said you want to

see the court protect the Second Amendment

do you want to see the court overturn well if we put another two or perhaps

three justices on that's really what's going to be has that's will happen and

that'll happen automatically in my opinion because I am putting pro-life

and justices on the court I will say this it will go back to the states and

the states will then make a determination if it is one of those

three what happens to Roe do you think well I think that the concerns about Roe

versus Wade being overturned anytime in the near future are sort of overblown

there's only one justice on the court Clarence Thomas who has called to

revisit Roe the justices move very slowly and incrementally with

respect to any kind of precedent and of course with John Roberts on the court

you never know exactly which way he would go if row was squarely presented

to the Supreme Court and he's also the president has also said that he's not

going to have a litmus test as have other past presidents and I take him at

his word there are some who say I want to see a conservative woman on the court

that would be a me koni Barrett in this case is is that something for someone

like you who watches the court and who compiles a list is that something that

if not unnecessarily this instance something that you would like to see

happen at some point down the line well I I don't tend to think in terms of

genders and races I look for four qualities that having been said I had a

woman on my list Diane Sikes there are a number of highly qualified women on the

president's list Allison I'd Margaret Ryan

Amy Coney Barrett Joan Larson and if you picked any of them that would be great

all right prediction time who do you think the president will pick slight nod

to Brett Kavanaugh but it could experience dealt with a lot of second

that sits on the second most important court in the land deals with a lot of

issues that will be that the administration will care about but Amy

Barrett and Raymond Catholic are right up there this whisper came campaign

against Calvin all right now you know I think that everybody in Washington has

their favorites it's a little bit like cage match where only one person emerges

and so whisper campaigns happen to promote their candidate and to try to do

in these so you think it will be Cavanaugh if you had the selection who

would you choose if I had the selection it would be it would be Cavanaugh but

the others would also be outstanding thank you very much John Malcolm we

appreciate it you put the initial list together it might come to fruition with

the Cavanaugh pick we'll see we'll see

TRUMP DROPS BOMBSHELL ON MUELLER

Liberals have been fuming over the past few weeks as Donald Trump has attacked White House

Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into his alleged collusion with Russia during

the 2016 presidential campaign.

Instead of backing down, however, Trump just defended his attacks on the investigation

by saying he was merely "fight[ing] back."

"There's been no collusion whatsoever," Trump said on Wednesday, according to The

Hill.

"There's no obstruction whatsoever.

And I'm looking forward to it."

Trump went on to mock those who have accused him of obstructing the Russia probe by attacking

the investigations and referring to them as a "witch hunt."

"You fight back, oh, it's obstruction," Trump mockingly told reporters.

He added that he plans to speak with Mueller in two or three weeks, letting the special

counsel know that he is not afraid at all.

"I'm looking forward to it," Trump said about being questioned by Mueller.

"I would do it under oath."

Trump has previously called the Russia probe as a "hoax" and said in December that

the investigation "makes the country look very bad."

"It puts the country in a very bad position," Trump told The New York Times.

"So the sooner it's worked out, the better it is for the country."

Mueller's investigation has taken numerous hits in the past few weeks, as numerous members

of his team have been exposed as Democrat operatives with a strong bias against Trump.

On Tuesday, Trump took to Twitter to slam the FBI, bringing up the case of two FBI officials

who disparaged him in text messages during the election.

FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were having an affair, and while some of their

text messages have been released, others have mysteriously gone missing.

"In one of the biggest stories in a long time, the FBI now says it is missing five

months worth of lovers Strzok-Page texts, perhaps 50,000, and all in prime time.

Wow!" Trump tweeted.

The text messages between Strzok and Page indicate that they knew that charges would

not be filed against Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton as a result of the

investigation into her email server, before Clinton was interviewed by the bureau.

One exchange between Strzok and Page that occurred on July 1, 2016, referenced then-Attorney

General Loretta Lynch's decision to accept the FBI's conclusion in the Clinton investigation.

Lynch announced this days after it was revealed that the attorney general and former President

Bill Clinton had an impromptu meeting aboard her plane in Phoenix.

"Timing looks like hell," Strzok texted Page.

"Yeah, that is awful timing," Page agreed, later adding, "It's a real profile in

couragw [sic], since she knows no charges will be brought."

Four days after this, then-FBI Director James Comey announced that no charges would be brought

against Clinton, even though he said her actions in regard to the private server were "extremely

careless."
