Trump news on Youtube Jul 17 2018

Okay, we NEED to know who is behind the Dictionary.com Twitter account. They have been on a roll lately with LOL-worthy tweets — and this dig at Donald Trump is the cherry on top

See for yourself!    This isn't the first time Dictionary.com has trolled Donald Trump, but it may be the best! After the President sided with Russian president Vladimir Putin, challenging American intelligence during the July 16 summit at Helsinki, the whole world had something to say about it

Anderson Cooper, for example, called Trump "disgraceful" and coined this event the Surrender Summit, but Dictionary

com's Twitter took things a step further. "Patriot: A person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion

Traitor: A person who commits treason by betraying his or her country," the account wrote, including the link to the "traitor" definition

Damn, Dictionary.com — tell us how you really feel! But we understand why the account would be bashing Trump

The Internet has been referring to this summit as the "Treason Summit," after all

And Jeff Flake put it pretty perfectly when he said, "I never thought I would see the day when our American President would stand on the stage with the Russian President and place blame on the United States for Russian aggression

This is shameful." We're glad Dictionary.com threw in its two cents, summing up the summit in a simple way that really got the point across

Last week, Kylie Jenner was the one being trolled by Dictionary.com. The account has been ruthless lately! "Self-made means having succeeded in life unaided," the account tweeted

"Used in a sentence: Forbes says that Kylie Jenner is a self-made woman." Included with a tweet was a pic of the makeup mogul's Forbes cover

LOL. Patriot: A person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion

Traitor: A person who commits treason by betraying his or her country.https://t

co/Keq4fhTlRB  — Dictionary.com (@Dictionarycom) July 16, 2018    From Kardashians to politics, Dictionary

com is piping in — and we're all for it! We know which account we'll be looking at for shade next time something big goes down

TRUMP WANTS MUELLER TO BE FIRED

President Donald Trump would not rule out firing Special Counsel Robert Mueller Monday

evening after the FBI raided the office of his personal lawyer Michael Cohen.

"The most conflicted group of people I have ever seen," Trump said of Mueller's team.

"Why don't I just fire Mueller?

Well, I think it's a disgrace."

"We'll see what happens.

I think it's disgraceful and so does a lot of other people.

This is a pure and simple witch-hunt."

Trump added on the raid, "It's an attack on on our country…what we all stand for…

is a whole new level of unfairness."

Donald Trump w Londynie. Dlaczego Kate i William odmówili spotkania? [SZOK] || LVTplotki - Duration: 4:38.

Donald Trump w Londynie. Dlaczego Kate i William odmówili spotkania?

Książę William i księżna Kate odmówili spotkania Donaldowi Trumpowi.

W ten sposób królowa została sama, bo książę Filip wycofał się z podobnych obowiązków – wyjawia informator Hollywood Life.

President Trump Humiliates Acosta - Duration: 11:43.

President Trump Humiliates Acosta

It's a well-known fact that CNN's Jim Acosta has no class and shows zero respect

for the office of the presidency.

Luckily, President Trump has such a special way to put CNN and Acosta in their place.

President Donald Trump slammed CNN' Jim Acosta after he shouted at President Trump

and asked if he could get a question during Friday's press conference with British Prime

Minister Theresa May,

When CNN reporter Jim Acosta started asking Trump if he could ask a question, Trump flatly

denied his request and instead went to Fox News' John Roberts.

"Mr. President, since you attacked CNN, can I ask you a question?"

Acosta asked.

Trump responded by saying, "I don't take questions from CNN," and finished with,

"CNN is fake news."

When Trump called on Roberts, he said "Let's go to a real network," prompting Acosta

to chargeback, "Well, we're a real network too, sir."

Such a simple strategy and so effective.

CNN treats the President without the respect due to the President, so why shouldn't the

President treat CNN without the respect due to a real news network?

CNN and Jim Acosta have done nothing to mend fences, they continue to just make up news

about our current administration, they downplay the wins, and twist the losses.

That's why I hope this continues while Acosta simmers in his own juices and before CNN replaces

him.

After all, you reap what you sow…

What do you think?

Expert's take on Trump-Putin summit - Duration: 9:52.

For an expert's take on the superpower summit in Helsinki between Presidents Donald Trump

and Vladimir Putin,…

I'm joined live on Skype by (E-len-ah) Elena Sokova, Deputy Director at the James Martin

Center for Nonproliferation Studies in California.

Before we get to the summit, there were calls from senior Democrats that President Trump

call off this meeting - as we know he didn't heed those calls - but they said because of

this issue that emerged over the past few days - to do with the Mueller indictments

that came down last Friday against the Russian military intel officers that are said to have

seriously meddled in the 2016 election - he should have canceled it, where do you stand

on the issue: was President Trump right to take this summit with President Putin?

We know that there's an extremely challenging and complex relationship between the U.S.

and Russia, but President Putin said the Cold War is a thing of the past during the press

conference.

When we see the serious issues related to Syria, Ukraine, NATO's expansion and arms

control.

Do you agree with Putin's assessment that things really aren't

that bad?

Your specialization is

arms control, when it comes to the arms control deal -- the New Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty

or new START -- that expires in 2021: hearing what Trump and Putin had to say do you think

the two sides are any closer to moving forward on that issue?

And

can you foresee a point where the two sides slash their nuclear stockpiles?

The U.S. says Russia is not reliable when it comes to reducing the number of nuclear

warheads , Moscow on the other hand accuses NATO of expanding further and further east…

how can they find some common ground when it comes to those differences?

Finally, before we let you go, I'd

like to ask you about North Korea.

Both leaders touched upon it during the press conference.

Trump said he was confident the two sides will work together to end Pyongyang's nuclear

threat.

Despite being a key player in the region, there's a degree of confusion about where

Putin stands on the matter.

Can you elaborate on how the Russian leader sees the situation,... especially this move

toward finding a diplomatic solution.

(E-len-ah) Elena Sokova, Deputy Director at

the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, we appreciate your insights this

morning.

Thank you.

Maxine Attacks Trump, Ends Up HUMILIATING Herself Instead - Duration: 14:09.

Maxine Attacks Trump, Ends Up HUMILIATING Herself Instead

In an ironic and hilarious twist of fate, Maxine "Low IQ" Waters is now attacking

President Trump, claiming he's so dumb, he can't even spell his wife's name.

This coming from the woman who once called Crimea, "Korea."

From Breitbart

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) claimed on Saturday that President Donald Trump does not know

how to spell the name of his wife, First Lady Melania Trump.

"He's over there supposedly meeting on NATO," Waters told the California Democratic

Party's women's caucus in Oakland over the weekend, according to the San Francisco

Chronicle.

"He doesn't know a darn thing about it.

He doesn't even understand what GDP is.

As a matter of fact, he doesn't even know how to spell his own wife's name."

Waters was referring to a tweet sent by the commander-in-chief on May 19, where autocorrect

— a spelling correcting function on every iPhone and nearly every smartphone device

— automatically populated an "e" instead of an "a" at the end of Melania's name

because "Melanie" is a far more common spelling of the name.

Melania had just arrived home to the White House after receiving treatment for a kidney

condition.

Trump's critics had a field day attacking the president, and his intellect, over the

error.

On Saturday, Waters continued to rail against Trump, saying, "He tells us that he's

such a patriot, (that) he loves the flag.

But he doesn't know the words to the Star Spangled Banner.

So just forget him.

He lies every day."

Waters, on this occasion, was referring to Trump singing along with the words of The

Star-Spangled Banner during an opening ceremony in January.

Trump would sing a few words, then stop singing, prompting accusations that he forgot, or did

not know, the words to the national anthem.

"Did President Trump forget the words to the national anthem?"

read a headline from the BBC. "Trump Attempts To Sing National Anthem But Can't Be Bothered

To Finish," wrote the Huffington Post.

"Twitter convinced Trump doesn't know the lyrics to 'God Bless America',"

USA Today suggested.

Waters was one of the first Democrats in her party to champion the idea that Trump should

be is impeached.

In June 2017, while speaking at the Los Angeles Pride parade — which had transformed into

a "resistance" march — Waters led the crowd in a chant of "Impeach 45," saying:

He is not my president.

He is not your president.

He lies.

He cheats.

He's a bully.

He disrespects us all.

If he thinks he can mess with the LGBT community, he better look at what happened right here

in West Hollywood…

I know some are a little hesitant.

I know some are saying I'm not so sure, Maxine, that what you are saying is the right

thing, but I'm saying, impeach 45.

Impeach 45.

Trump Has 'Very Good' Talks with Vladimir Putin, Doesn't Mention Russia's Cyber Attack on U.S. - New - Duration: 3:29.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump met one-on-one in Helsinki, Finland, on Monday after months of build-up

But in the public moments surrounding the meeting, Trump focused on praise for Russia's recent World Cup hosting duties, rather than the country's 12 intelligence officials charged by the U

S. Justice Department with hacking into the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, on Friday

Trump and Putin met privately — with only their respective translators present — for more than two hours

Afterward, they were joined by their official delegations for additional talks over a late lunch

New cameras were allowed into the dining room briefly before the food was served

Asked by a reporter how talks were going, Trump responded, "I think it's a good start

Very, very good start for everybody."  Ahead of their private talks, Trump told reporters that he and the Russian president would discuss trade and military, among other things

He noted of Russia and the U.S., "We've been not getting along for the past years

"  The president seemed to be optimistic about the conversation before declaring the "good start," teasing, "We'll have an extraordinary relationship

"  He noted as the headed out, "The world awaits."  Even earlier on Monday, before heading into the talks, Trump tweeted, "Our relationship with Russia has NEVER been worse thanks to many years of U

S. foolishness and stupidity and now, the Rigged Witch Hunt!"  Trump's criticism of his own country was retweeted by the Russian Foreign Ministry — with the simple endorsement, "We agree" — only compounding astonishment back home over Trump's handling of Putin

"You had Ronald Reagan calling the Soviet Union 'the evil empire' in advance of talks," Anderson Cooper said on CNN

"I mean, it's as if the president today is calling the United States the stupid empire in advance of talks

"  Veteran foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell, from NBC News, called Trump's tweet the "perfect propaganda tool for Russia

"  Clinton also hit out at Trump, writing on Twitter, "Great World Cup. Question for President Trump as he meets Putin: Do you know which team you play for?"

This is the real reason Melania Trump didn't curtsy to the Queen - Duration: 2:44.

Donald and Melania Trump arrived in the for a state visit this week, and the most memorable stop on their itinerary was surely their meeting with the Queen on Friday

All eyes were on the President and the First Lady as they first stepped out of their car to greet Her Majesty – and many royal-watchers were quick to notice that there was no curtsy from Melania, while Donald did briefly nod his head as he arrived at Windsor Castle

In fact, it's thought that there's no requirement for a First Lady to curtsy to The Queen – as visiting Heads of State are not included in the royal rule

Looking back on Barack and Michelle Obama's state visit in 2011, neither he nor his wife bowed or curtsied to the Queen – instead, both opted for a handshake

Of course, in 2009, during a Buckingham Palace reception before the G20 summit, Michelle sparked headlines by embracing the British royal – putting her arm around her as they chatted

She reportedly did curtsy when she first met Her Majesty in her private apartments earlier that day, however

MORE: All the pictures of the Queen's meeting with Donald and Melania Trump  In July 2017, when King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain met with Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh during their state visit, Letizia also opted for a handshake – as the Queen outstretched her hand to greet her as she stepped from the car

In fact, this time it was King Felipe who caused a stir, choosing to kiss the monarch on the cheek, then on the hand, on arrival

Donald and Melania met Her Majesty at the dais in the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle, where a Guard of Honour formed of the Coldstream Guards gave a royal salute, and the US National Anthem was played

The group then inspected the Guard of Honour and watched the military march past before heading inside for tea at the castle

The President's visit to the has had a mixed reaction from the public, with thousands taking to the streets in London in protest of his visit

Attack On Trump In Middle Of Putin Presser – Dragged Out By Security After Getting Too Close - Duration: 5:57.

Attack On Trump In Middle Of Putin Presser – Dragged Out By Security After Getting

Too Close

Talking heads, activists for the so-called Resistance, Democratic politicians, leftist

progressives, and other opponents of President Donald Trump flew into an apoplectic rage

first thing Monday morning as President Trump and President Putin sat down for a press briefing.

The briefing was held in an effort to answer questions from the media about the joint Summit

between the US and Russia in Helsinki.

The historic meeting between the two world leaders lasted nearly two hours and contained

more than a few controversial revelations.

Given the mainstream media and their unnatural fascination with all things Russia currently,

they have fixated on Putin's admission that he wanted President Trump to win in 2016 election.

Some claim this is somehow "proof" of collusion.

Both Trump and Putin emphatically deny that Russia meddled in the election or colluded.

The media has also taken issue with President Trump's unwillingness to publicly condemn

Russian interference, despite a lengthy on-going investigation being conducted by Special Counsel

Robert Mueller, turning up little evidence other than typical politics.

Meanwhile, President Trump declared the Cold War (and the more-recent tensions between

the US and Putin's regime) "a thing of the past," and Putin clarified his admission

he wanted President Trump to win "because he talked about bringing US-Russia relations

back to normal."

Meanwhile, political pundits bashed President Trump for treating Putin amicably during the

press conference, with CNN's Anderson Cooper describing the conference as "disgraceful."

Cooper stated – "You have been watching perhaps one of the most disgraceful performances

by an American president at a summit in front of a Russian leader certainly than I've

ever seen."

As for the break down in US-Russia relations, President Trump stated there were more than

enough issues to go around on both sides.

President Trump stated diplomatically – "I hold both countries responsible.

I think the United States has been foolish…

I think we've all been foolish.

We're all to blame."

Except, diplomacy seems to escape those on the left as Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff

proclaimed President Trump's permissiveness "gave Putin the green light to interfere

again" and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer claims President Trump siding with

Putin was "dangerous" and "weak."

Some Republicans even appeared uncomfortable with the amicable relations between the two

world leaders.

House Speaker Paul Ryan stated "there is no moral equivalence between US and Russia"

and that the "US must be focused on holding Russia accountable."

The drama began before Putin and President Trump arrived at their podiums, as a man purporting

to be a "journalist" had to be forcibly removed from the press conference just prior

to its start.

The man known as Sam Husseini described himself as a journalist for the Nation, which a hard-left

activist magazine based in the United States.

According to the Daily Mail, he is also "the communications director of the Institute for

Public Accuracy, a Washington D.C.-based nonprofit group that promotes progressive experts as

sources for journalists."

As the Daily Mail reports –

"Several security agents surrounded Husseini and drug him out of the room before Trump

and Putin came inside.

The Nation magazine confirmed he was credentialed through their outlet to cover the meeting

between Trump and Putin.

'Sam Husseini, communications director of the Institute for Public Accuracy, received

press accreditation from The Nation to cover the summit between President Donald Trump

and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki,' said The Nation Vice President of Communications

Caitlin Graf in a statement to the DailyMail.com.

'At a time when this administration consistently denigrates the media, we're troubled by

reports that he was forcibly removed from the press conference before the two leaders

began to take questions.

This is a developing situation that we will be following closely,' she said.

Los Angeles Times' White House correspondent Eli Stokols, who was in the room in Helsinki,

twitted Husseini was circulating a signed statement at the press filing center earlier

in day and was escorted out of the press conference at one point but came back into the room.

Upon his return, Husseini held a sign that read: 'Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.'

He was waving it at the press corps when a security agent tried to take it from him.

The two men struggled and tussled over the sign as Husseini refused to give up.

Other agents came to assist and four of them removed Husseini from the room.

CBS reporter Susan Ormiston, who was also in the room, tweeted Husseini 'had been

heckling reported going live saying they weren't reporting anything.'

Husseini founded the webpage WashingtonStakeout.com, which features him pointedly questioning political

figures as they leave the Sunday morning talk shows.

He calls himself a Washington D.C.-based independent journalist.

He has been tweeting from Helsinki and wrote in one tweet: 'The issue isn't Trump.

The issue isn't Putin.

The issue is the issues: Nuclear threats, Syria, etc.'

His online resume notes that he 'regularly attended new conferences at the National Press

Club and other venues in D.C., questioning numerous officials including NATO spokesperson

Jamie Shea, State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi,

journalists Dan Rather and Judith Miller and former head of Saudi intelligence Amb.

Turki bin Faisal al-Saud.

The questioning of the former lead to a suspension by the executive director of the National

Press Club, which was overturned by the Ethics Committee.'

In 2011, he was suspended by the National Press Club's executive director after he

asked the Turki a point question about the legitimacy of the Saudi regime at an event

at the Club.

The ethics committee of the Club overturned the suspension."

The Nation made a tweet shortly after making thinly veiled references to the Trump administration

and their often contentious relationship with the media.

The tweet stated – "At a time when this administration consistently denigrates the

media, we're troubled by reports that he was forcibly removed from the press conference

before the two leaders began to take questions."

Celebs Slam Trump As A 'Traitor' After Meeting With Putin: Mark Hamill, James Gunn & More - Daily Ne - Duration: 3:33.

Donald Trump was called a 'traitor' and received some serious backlash from celebrities on Twitter after he met with Russian leader Vladimir Putin for a summit in Helsinki on July 16

Mark Hamill, James Gunn and many other celebs took to Twitter on July 16 to call out Donald Trump, 72, after he met with Russian leader Vladimir Putin for a summit and seemed to praise Russia and diss America

Things got brutal when the president was shockingly first trolled and indirectly called a "traitor" to the U

S. by Dictionary.com's Twitter account, which defined the term, before a plethora of other tweets from various stars were posted about the controversial meeting

"Today, July 16th, 2018, a date which will live in infamy, the United States of America was suddenly & deliberately attacked & betrayed by our "President"

We will gain the inevitable triumph, so help us all true patriots.#TreasonSummit #PresidentAsset,"Mark's tweet read

Michael Moore also took to Twitter to state his opinion. "Trump is asked, Who are you going to believe—the Russians or your own officers? And he refused to choose! Do you support your troops or Putin — and he wouldn't choose! So my first thought goes out to those who serve this country— I'm so sorry the Commander-in-Chief is a traitor," Michael posted

Former governor of CA Arnold Schwarzenegger also tweeted a video in which he expressed his anger about Donald's actions

In the video, he called the meeting "embarrassing" and said Donald looked like a "little wet noodle and fan boy" in front of Putin

James tweeted about Donald's agreements during the appearance. "If you really don't think Trump is in Putin's pocket after he agrees with Putin over every US national security & law enforcement agency on the world stage, you're blind

This is a betrayal to our country. Trump is a traitor & should be impeached. #TreasonSummit," his tweet read

During the meeting, Donald didn't place blame on Russia for messing with the 2016 election and instead talked about the "stupidity" of the U

S. intelligence agencies who investigated the interference. Many believe he didn't criticize Russia like he should have and took the low road when he talked bad about his own country

Today, July 16th, 2018, a date which will live in infamy, the United States of America was suddenly & deliberately attacked & betrayed by our "President"

conference with Vladimir Putin on Monday as lawmakers claimed the u-s president

missed the chance to stand up to the russian president on election meddling

the u.s president for his part called the summit with putin deeply productive

after democrats for days called on him to next the meeting in the wake of

indictments against russian officers for u s campaign hacking Trump said he would

not make decisions on foreign policy and a futile effort to appease partisan

critics he cited progress on a range of issues

and said it would be a good thing to get along with Russia however the president

hangared members of both parties by saying both countries share blamed for

damaged relations and by not firmly standing by u-s intelligence assessments

that Russia meddled in the 2016 elections Trump said he has great

confidence in the intelligence community but Putin gave a strong and powerful

denial there is no question that Russia interfered in our election and continues

attempts to undermine democracy here and around the world House Speaker Paul Ryan

Republican Wisconsin countered others were less reserved in their response

Senator John McCain Republican Arizona who has been out of Washington for

months battling brain cancer issued a blistering statement calling the

performance disgraceful president Trump proved not only unable

but unwilling to stand up to Putin he and Putin seemed to be speaking from the

same script as a president made a conscious choice to defend a tyrant

against the fair questions of a free press and to grant Putin an uncontested

platform to spew propaganda and lies to the world McCain said calling the

president's comments at the press conference a recent low point in the

history of the American presidency Senator Jeff Flake Republican Arizona

another Republican often critical of the president also blasted Trump I never

thought I would see the day when our American president would Stan

and on the stage with the Russian president and place blame on the United

States for Russian aggression this is shameful Flake tweeted Democrats

meanwhile cranked up the volume on criticism that had already been building

for days especially after 12 Russians were indicted for allegedly Hawking

Hillary Clinton campaign and other Democratic groups emails in 2016

former CIA director John Brennan another frequent critic of Trump

went so far as to effectively accuse the president of treason Donald Trump's

press conference performance in Helsinki rises to and exceeds the threshold of

high crimes and misdemeanors it was nothing short of treasonous not only

were Trump's comments imbecilic he is wholly in the pocket of Putin Republican

Patriots where are you House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi Democrat California

said president Trump's weakness in front of Putin was embarrassing and proves

that the Russians have something on the president personally financially or

politically Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer made similar comments

while calling on Congress to ratchet up sanctions on Russia in response to

Monday's events what the president has done is an insult to all Americans

Schumer said Democrats continue to push claims that Russia has dirt on Trump

though the so-called dossier that helped start those theories has not been

verified Monday's press conference only fueled those claims

Putin though was directly asked during the press conference whether he had

compromising material on Trump and dismissed such speculation as nonsense

while the Finland summit between Trump and Putin apparently span a range of

topics from Crimea to missile defense and more the press conference itself

focused largely on two meddling allegations Trump used the stage to

again condemn Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe as a disaster saying

there was no collusion with his campaign I didn't know the president there was no

one to collude with and there was no collusion with the campaign Trump said

suggesting Democrats have used the issue an excuse for losing we ran a brilliant

campaign and at it's why I'm president throughout the joint press conference

emphatically and repeatedly denied meddling in the u.s election saying

there's no evidence in the wake of the comments trump's Director of National

Intelligence Stan Coates stood by their assessment we have been clear in our

assessments of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and their ongoing

pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy senator Elizabeth Warren D

masse considered a potential 2020 presidential candidate slammed Trump's

comments as disgraceful once again at real Donald Trump takes to the

international stage to embarrass America undermine our institutions weaken our

alliances and embrace a dictator Russia interfered in our elections and attacked

our democracy Putin must be held accountable not rewarded disgraceful

warrant weeded ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff

Democrat California said that trumps attack on intelligence agencies would be

taken as a green light by Putin to interfere in the 2018 midterm elections

other Republicans while not as fierce as McCain also criticized Trump reminding

him that Russia is not considered a friend of the u.s Russia is not our

friend Russia attempted to undermine the fundamentals of our democracy impugn the

reliability of the 2016 election and sow the seeds of discord among Americans our

intelligence community including the current one concluded this as did the

majority House Intelligence Committee report as did our fellow Americans who

served on grand juries which returned two bills on two separate occasions

House Oversight Committee Chairman trey Gowdy RSC said in a statement urging

administration officials to communicate to the president that is possible to

conclude Russia interfered with our election in 2016 without the legitimacy

his electoral success Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr RN C

also stressed that Putin is not our friend and never has been

Opinion | The backlash from Trump's Britain visit will be felt for years to come - Duration: 6:11.

Demonstrators march during a protest against President Trump in central London on July 13

(Luke MacGregor/Bloomberg News) President Trump's catastrophic visit to Britain began with a political scandal of his own creation

In an interview with the Sun, a British tabloid, the U.S. president slammed the British prime minister, Theresa May, and supported her rival

He criticized her conduct of Brexit, the most contentious issue in British politics, and used inflammatory language about immigration, the second-most-contentious issue in British politics

The story appeared just as May was hosting a black-tie dinner for him at Blenheim Palace

Trump then took it all back, dismissing the journalists who had accurately reported his words as "fake news" and offering some flabby support for May

In response, the Sun published the full audio recording of the interview online — and loudly supported its original story with the front-page headline "FAKE SCHMOOZE

" The interview seemed like a diplomatic fumble. But it was not. All of the views Trump expressed were in fact consistent with the previous actions of his administration

John Bolton, Trump's national security adviser, has recently met with pro-Brexit members of Parliament — in effect, a party within the Conservative Party — to ask how he could help their cause

Behind the scenes, Trump's team has lobbied Britain on behalf of Tommy Robinson, a violent white nationalist and co-founder of the fringe English Defense League, who is now in prison

This open, partisan, U.S. intervention in British politics is unprecedented, going well beyond President Ronald Reagan's political flirtation with Margaret Thatcher or President Bill Clinton's friendship with Tony Blair

Trump is supporting not the elected British leader but rather her internal party rivals as well as an extra-parliamentary racist fringe that has very little support in Britain but that matters to U

S. alt-right activists, the core of Trump's base. The result: Tens of thousands protested

A vast balloon, caricaturing Trump as a giant orange baby in a diaper, flew over London on Friday and Edinburgh on Saturday

Smaller anti-Trump gatherings took place in Glasgow, Belfast, Birmingham and elsewhere

A paraglider sailed over his Scottish golf course, flying a banner that described him as "below par

" The aftermath may well be even more important. According to polls taken before this visit, 77 percent of Britons have an unfavorable view of the American president, a figure very close to the disapproval numbers for Vladimir Putin, whose thugs have actually poisoned British citizens

Seventy-four percent of Britons described the U.S. president as "sexist"; only 16 percent described him as "honest

" Since then, millions watched as the 92-year-old Queen of England stood waiting for him, looking at her watch; they then saw him rudely walk in front of her

In the wake of these and other embarrassments, it's perfectly possible that anti-Trump sentiments will grow

Along with national regret for the English football team's semifinal World Cup loss, dislike of him seems to unify Britain more than anything else

Eventually, this dislike may coalesce into a more generalized anti-Americanism. If so, Trump's team will not only compromise the hard-line Brexiteers whom they back, it will also compromise May, who has gone out of her way to welcome the president

Photographs of her holding Trump's hand, first at the White House and now at Chequers, the prime ministerial residence, have been widely mocked

She is caricatured, unpleasantly, as his concubine. The real beneficiary of the White House's British meddling could prove to be someone else altogether

Jeremy Corbyn, the farthest-left Labour Party leader in recent memory, has been consistently anti-American, indeed anti-Western, for more than three decades

This is a man who described the killing of Osama bin Laden as a "tragedy," and who has blamed NATO for the Russian annexation of Crimea

At least until now, these views have been important marks against him. But in an anti-Trump, anti-American Britain, maybe now they won't be

Actions create reactions. Angry language creates an angry response. And already, there's a precedent

The president's racist rhetoric has already helped elect a left-wing, anti-Trump leader of Mexico

Could Trump achieve the same in Britain?
