Trump news on Youtube Jul 15 2018

waiting for President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to descend the stairs

from that jet that just landed in Glasgow Scotland the President and First

Lady's spending the weekend there at one of the president's golf clubs in turn

burry before heading on to Helsinki Finland to meet with Russian President

Vladimir Putin Fox Business network's Blake Berman is covering all of this for

us live in London where the president met with the Queen before he left

England Blake are you there I am hi there Rick it doesn't get much cooler to

sit down and have tea with the Queen inside Windsor Castle that is exactly

what President Trump in the first lady Melania Trump got to do for about an

hour or so inside Windsor Castle earlier today just on the outskirts of London

Windsor Castle is actually a location that the Queen is used fairly recently

when meeting with past presidents for example she hosted the Obamas there a

president george w bush and his wife Laura Bush had tea with the Queen there

and so too did the Reagan's when they came here and met with the Queen Blake

is now has now met with 10 out of the elastol the president has coming down

the stairs of Air Force One Blake with the first lady tell us what you know

about the president's ties to Scotland

it's interesting by the way as you're watching this back stateside the cameras

behind me the televisions behind my camera watching this - this is kind of

an event that this part of the region has been following since the president

touched down here yesterday speaking of the region president Trump said earlier

today in his news conference with the prime minister Theresa May just exactly

how much this means to him because his mother was born in Scotland so the

president talked about in that news conference just a little while ago how

much this region means to him he also talked about Rick how the president will

be at one of his courses Turnberry that is where he and the first lady will be

staying for the next couple nights one of not just the best golf courses in

Europe but also one of the best golf courses in all the world so I think it's

probably fair to say that it is probable that the president might bring out the

sticks when he is over there in Turnberry which he will arrive to soon

and of course the meeting with Vladimir Putin on Monday in Finland this weekend

a bit of downtime for the president in Scotland will give him some time to

prepare for that summit wreck looks like the weather is good there the president

now waving to a crowd gathered at the airport with his wife Melania Blake I

know there was some massive protests on the streets of London today and

apparently there was a protest in Scotland as well

we were actually inside some of the protests here in London basically

Parliament squares on one side Trafalgar Square on the other in the middle is

Whitehall probably runs I don't know about a mile or so and the protesters

that we saw were just kind of jockeying back and forth from Parliament Square

over to Trafalgar Square they were hanging out there

there was really no no reason we couldn't really see a pattern as that

how they came in how they left why they stayed what I can tell you though Rick

is for the most part it was non-violence they were certainly voicing their

displeasure with this president we did not see any arrests for the several

hours that we were there it is about I believe 8:30 now here in London some

rain behind me I don't know if he could tell so that might have scattered the

last of the protesters but they were planning for that to wrap up at about 7

o'clock tonight but for the most part I guess you can describe it as vocal but

nonviolent here on the streets of London today Thank You Blake Burman we watch

the president's SUV to a slow roll there off the runway past him Secret Service

agents there on his way to turn Barry in Scotland Benjamin Hall was also on the

streets with demonstrators today in the City of London Benjamin what can you

tell us

hey good afternoon Rick well as certainly a few hours ago this was a

major protest they say the largest in about 15 years here in the UK now as

Blake said there the rain has generally seen some ocean but you can still see a

core group behind me who are continuing and they've also been drinking for

number of hours it's becoming more of a party for them but what was interesting

when we were here in the Trafalgar Square was absolutely packed was it it

was not just an anti-trump protesters was very much an anti-capitalist

anti-imperialist very much an antique brexit protest as well and the main

center point of this was a 20 foot tall blimp an orange blimp depicting

president Trump dressed as a baby in a diaper and holding a phone and what was

controversial about that was it was the money was raised by crowdsourcing but it

was given express permission by the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan to fly

outside Parliament and many politicians and British people in general have have

been very vocal in their anger against that saying that the special

relationship is one that you must you you cannot as a politician allows this

kind of belittling of another leader but what we saw up here was also very

interesting once the speech just started getting going in Trafalgar Square where

I am now we started hearing all the leaders they were mainly socialist

leaders they were union leaders and they started leading the crowds in chants

saying we must stand up and fight fight for Humanity stand up and fight for

Muslims stand up and fight for Palestine stand up and fight for climate change it

was really a protest that brought together many many people from London

but all here for very different reasons so it was an interesting one to see but

certainly it was a mass protest President Trump will have missed it

himself because he was outside London Blenheim Palace at Windsor and at

Chequers and that's because this was a working visit it was not a state visit a

state visit would have seen him have the horse-drawn carriage working its way

down to Buckingham Palace and then he would have been here for those meetings

instead it was a bilateral meeting he met with Prime Minister May and those

meetings we here went very successfully and we also heard that there is a state

visit still being planned so it's been quite a day here in London and certainly

people are out on the streets but what was upsetting to see was how personal in

nature some of the attacks on President Trump were they weren't about his

politics or his policies they were very personal and I think here the government

will be a understandably upset about that and lots

of people here were upset about the government in general they took their

anger out on Teresa May they said that they should she should not have been as

welcoming to President Trump because of course she did roll out the red carpet

but the UK Parliament is in turmoil right now and now more than ever people

are saying that they need the backing of their closest ally the US and perhaps

shows a protest like the one that I've seen today and the one which is still

going on behind me may not have been the right tack to take Ric you mentioned the

Mayor of London Benjamin the president had some such a valuable partner well

but going back in the past he has blamed Sadiq Khan perhaps for the city car as a

Muslim and president Trauma the parson suggested that some of his policies may

have facilitated or led to some of the terror attacks we've seen here so

suddenly there is no love between the two of them and that has bubbled up

again here today right Benjamin Hall on the streets of London Benjamin thanks

very much up next more on president Trump's next stop Helsinki to meet with

the Russian President Putin will talk about what both men stand to gain or

lose during the high-stakes summit I'm Rick Leventhal in for Shepard Smith

president Trump set the touchdown in Scotland his last stop before he meets

one-on-one with Russian President Vladimir Putin and today new indictments

in the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election just

hours ago Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein announced charges against a

dozen Russian intelligence officers for hacking Hillary Clinton's campaign and

the Democratic National Committee Rosenstein urging folks not to think as

Democrats or Republicans but as Americans united against an attack on

our democracy there will always be adversaries who seek to exacerbate our

divisions and try to confuse divide and conquer us so long as we are united in

our commitment to the values enshrined in the Constitution they will not

succeed the White House says the indictments don't provide any evidence

that Trump campaign officials were aware of the hacking that any Americans

committed a crime or that the hacks affected the vote count the website

WikiLeaks published information from the hack emails its founder Jule

Hasan's swore up and down that Russia was not the source of the information

chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge on Fox top story live

in Washington Catherine what did we learn from the Deputy Attorney General

today well thanks Rick and good afternoon that

a news conference that the Justice Department was called on very short

notice and featuring the Deputy Attorney General so that was the signal to us

that it was going to be pretty big news really the key headline is this

connection to Russian intelligence called the GRU so think of it as the CIA

the Central Intelligence Agency or the Defense Intelligence Agency the DIA kind

of our equivalent here's the Deputy Attorney General from earlier today

today a grand jury in the District of Columbia returned an indictment

presented by the special counsels office the indictment charges 12 Russian

military officers by name for conspiring to interfere with the 2016 presidential

election well we learned from the indictment is that the operation had two

tracks if you will one track looked at stealing the information so getting the

emails getting text messages and the other was focused on disseminating that

information the Deputy Attorney General said this was very sophisticated first

they use a scheme known as spear phishing which involves sending

misleading email messages and tricking the users into disclosing their

passwords and security information second the defendants hacked into

computer networks and installed malicious software that allowed them to

spy on users and capture keystrokes take screenshots and exfiltrate or remove

data from those computers cyber security experts say none of this would happen

without really the sign-off and the okay from someone senior like the Russian

president Rick and Katherine the defendants accused of going to great

lengths to hide their ties to Russia well that's the other interesting thing

that we learned in the indictment is that Russian intelligence again this is

like the CIA and the Defense Intelligence Agency these officers

working with the most sophisticated tools to try and masquerade as Americans

either through D they tried to allege was this Romanian

hacker the conspirators created fictitious online personas including DC

leaks and gusoff err 2.0 defendants falsely claimed the DC leaks was a group

of American hackers and the gusoff err 2.0 was a lone Romanian hacker in fact

both were created and controlled by the Russian GRU other Russian nationals have

been indicted by the special counsel robert muller and the feeling about

these indictments is that it sends a very strong message because the

likelihood that russia would indict its own nationals part of the extradite its

own nationals to the United States to face charges is really I mean slim to

none in terms of that happening but the ranking Democrat on the Senate

Intelligence Committee told reporters this afternoon that it does send an

important message I would love to find a way to have these Russian spies get

justice whether Putin will be willing to turn over those spies that frankly doubt

that the other thing to note of course is the timing coming just a couple of

days before that summit between President Trump

you

the Russian President Vladimir Putin Rick and Katherine you said they were

masquerading as Americans I don't know if you can answer this no indication

they were actually ever in America they were doing this from overseas well not

based on what I've seen in the indictment so far what I would say to

folks at home is that this was part of a much larger intelligence and information

gathering operations that was launched by the Russians and their proxies in the

cyber world and it really began back in October of 2014 with something called

Operation pond storm and this was

Post-Brexit U.S.-UK trade deal 'absolutely possible': Trump - Duration: 1:05.

U.S. President Donald Trump has reassured British Prime Minister Theresa May that a

post-Brexit trade deal between the United States and the UK "will absolutely be possible."

He was speaking at a joint press conference with the British Prime Minister following

talks at Chequers on Friday.

Trump was looking to clarify his thoughts after he told a British tabloid that May's

"soft" Brexit plan could kill an agreement.

"Whatever you're going to do is OK with us.

Just make sure we can trade together that's all that matters.

The United States looks forward to finalizing a great bilateral trade agreement with the

United Kingdom.

This is an incredible opportunity for our two countries and we will seize it fully.

We support the decision of the British people to realize full self-government and we will

see how that goes."

Prime Minister May also said they had discussed plans for an "ambitious" trade agreement.

Later on Friday,...

President Trump and his wife, Melania, had tea with the Queen at Windsor.

Five:President Trump makes waves on UK visit - Duration: 11:03.

Reznik drop is in the UK and already making waves holding a press conference

with British prime minister Arisa may the president down point down plane

scuse me the fallout of a controversial interview he gave to British newspaper

the Sun where he accused me of wrecking brexit and killing off any chance of a

vital US trade deal I didn't criticize the Prime Minister I

have a lot of respect for the Prime Minister and unfortunately there was a

story that was done which was you know generally fine but it didn't put in what

I said about the Prime Minister and I said tremendous things it's called fake

news she's gonna make a decision as to what she's going to do the only thing I

ask of Teresa is that we make sure we can trade that we don't have any

restrictions because we want to trade with the UK and the UK wants to trade

with us the president president was met with thousands of protesters and a giant

flying Trump a baby blimp in London which he said made him feel unwelcome no

to make me feel unwelcome no reason for me to go to London I loved I used to

love London is the city I haven't been there in a long time but when they make

you feel unwelcome why would I say they're something one of the biggest

issues angering demonstrators as Trump's tough stance on immigration a subject he

also broached during his press conference warning Europe about the

potential risks I think it's been very bad for Europe I think Europe is a place

I know very well and I think that what has happened is very tough it's a very

tough situation I mean you see the same terror attacks that I do I know it's

politically not necessarily correct to say that but I'll say it and I'll say it

loud and I think they better watch themselves Greg you've lived in the UK

let's start with London it was amazing to me that that many people had the day

off - just on a Friday afternoon the interesting thing number one is the

balloon has absolutely no effect because Trump is actually bigger than the

balloon I mean he actually is as a phenomenon

where ever he goes has a greater impact than anything there so he is the number

one story in England he's the biggest thing in England he's bigger than Big

Ben I want to make a metaphor in analogy if I may to my friends in England I

lived there I'm an Anglophile I love the music in the 1970s music was plagued by

soft rock and progressive rock things like air supply and Genesis and Emerson

Lake and Palmer just really boring ponderous music Papa songs with

15-minute drum solos then in 1976 The Ramones The Ramones from New York Queens

Queens went to England and played and what happened destroyed the meat that

whole scene and all these punk bands started The Clash The Damned the Sex

Pistols thousands of new bands happen sound familiar Donald Trump is the

Ramones of politics he and what he's done is what what punk did to music

Trump is doing to the entire political scene he's he's a brutal blunt

game-changing but he's elementally true you may not like punk rock but the

messages in the songs were true there were three minutes two minutes of truth

that's what you're seeing this is the first punk-rock president is that the

metaphor you said was going to be blue yes I got it from a buddy of mine my

buddy Paul emailed me last night said yo he said he's a punk-rock president now

go yes on crack president I mean I like a country music president too you had

one at GW Bush do you want to carry this metaphor forward because I was actually

thinking of something similar because everyone who focuses on the way

President Trump says things but they but the way he says it makes you focus on

what he's saying for instance if President Trump hadn't

said that Germany was held captive by Russia we wouldn't be talking about

something like the Nordstrom to pipeline which is important because it does in

fact give Russia leverage over Germany and other European nations so it is

something important especially at a time we know when we're all talking about

Russia aggression and we're looking at putting sanctions on Russia it sort of

undercuts that narrative and that objective if they're funneling money to

the Russia through the pipeline but we wouldn't be talking about that if he

didn't say it that way or you look at immigration all you have to do is look

at the Paris attackers the the ease that they are able to get

around Europe go back to Syria come back hiding in places like molenbeek which

are the epitome of a failure of integration of immigration policies and

the lack of assimilation so I mean he says these things and at the face it

seems outlandish but will we be talking about the substance if you didn't say it

in that way I don't know I do I was just thinking though about the the Teresa

maiya comments Jesse and he said we gave the interview to the son they released

the audio he said it was fake but I do think that he actually maybe felt a

little bad that she felt slighted in her own paper while he was there I think he

did feel bad he felt a human emotion that is possible with this president and

a lot of people think he's just this maniacal robot that doesn't care about

people's feelings but the way he was kind of over-the-top praising her as the

strong decisive ally that is a big winner and when he calls me favor

because now we're gonna get a trade deal looks like exactly I remember when

President Obama said that you know if you guys do brexit we're gonna get in

the back of the line on the trade he's done the opposite and he's reached his

arm across the Atlantic and offered an olive branch there I thought meeting the

Queen was the bigger thing today just the the visual that was pumped into the

world and when we see this on television people enjoy the spectacle of it they

let the red and the colors and the she's in the blue and the president's trying

to walk like this and it's just very formal and it shows how the president

was respected I know the president personally enjoys that kind of pomp and

circumstance he enjoys the respect than rolling out the red carpet but it really

solidified the special relationship today he also saw the image of him

holding Teresa Mae's hand and and then they had tea with the Queen and he

probably gave him a big boost of adrenaline at the end of this and at the

end of it when you look at it they the European countries did make commitments

to boost their defense spending and NATO is invigorated I believe and we're

focused on the task at hand and on confronting Russia so I think at the end

of the day the trip to Europe was positive and we've had great economic

news this week strong humiliated himself

immigration we should send the kids from the quake from Queens over to London why

not it changed it change the world but what Trump said that in fact these

immigrants are tearing the fabric of Europe and and London apart and he goes

after the mayor and by the way Jesse he says that he loves Teresa mate you know

what he's the one that gave the interview it's not like somebody forced

him to talk to the Sun newspaper he gave an interview that was hostile towards a

leader he was about to sit down he created the chaos he created this

situation and then he created the making up together one that might work out in

Teresa may's favor right because it could but it put him a little bit on the

defensive and it put him in a position of being quite amiable and so because

she was gracious and she was like oh no problem it's fine like very British you

know stiff upper lip you know a problem she's gonna walk away with possibly

getting a trade deal when earlier in the week her government was falling apart I

don't know I think Boris Johnson left I don't know that they were how close they

are to actually falling apart he says she's a strong leader he wishes there

were more lead I don't know but I will say he goes over there he stirs the pot

then he tries to on stir the pot again he is you know the be all of the whole

story but to me you can't get over the fact that 100,000 people in the streets

of London I mean forget the crime the London protesters I saw Benjamin Hall

earlier reporting in that two o'clock hour was that they were really

campaigning against capitalism no it's true a lot of this this is what happens

with left-wing protesters it becomes a grab bag of everything you saw women

dressed up as characters from The Handmaid's Tale which is the fictional

miniseries about masata misogynistic dystopia where women are forced into

sexual slavery now I doubt any of those women dressed up as those handmaids ever

did anything about the mass rape in England what has to be well yeah in a

rotten get run dam run Rotterdam Rotterdam Raqqa down Rotherham the

sexual slavery that took place there was an absolute

scandal that went on for years and I don't see any signs for that

no it's but to to to ones point everybody hates his style

everybody hates his style that's why he's punk rock

he put the New York Times even had to admit today was a today's paper the

headline was Trump got everything Obama ever asked for I don't see that headline

but it sounds like a good one that's not Fitness that's one of the

eggs in New York Times I agree with I think you guys understand in a way he's

not even playing to the Europeans he's not playing yet Teresa made everybody

plays with her domestic audience right so he's playing to an American base when

he brings up the immigration issue he's trying to stir that up here I think he

talks about you as well there is no truth are you kidding

Europe at me what did Teresa may say as she was standing there next to him

immigration has been great for Great Britain in from Germany to Denmark to

Sweden to all of these populates the populace are rising up because of

correction I think playing to a populist nationalist sentiments that he would

like to excite here at home for the midterms but that is not it's not the

case what are you that you are breaking apart Europe and the fabric is being

torn and that the mayor of London is responsible one of the signs that they

had today that I thought was kind of preposterous it said no to Trump no to

war well what really not the war monger is the war on the press successfully

prosecuted a who said these are not you know the downtrodden you know lower

class people that have been crushed by the industrial level these are people in

alastair that come from snobby backgrounds and went to nice prep

schools that can afford to take the friday afternoon

Donald Trump's ambassador lobbied Britain on behalf of jailed Tommy Robinson - Duration: 3:43.

</form>  Donald Trump's ambassador for international freedom reportedly lobbied Britain on behalf of Tommy Robinson

Sam Brownback, the US Ambassador for International Religious Freedom, complained to the British ambassador in Washington about the treatment of the far-right activist

English Defence League founder Robinson is serving 13 months behind bars for contempt of court after being jailed in May

Who is Tommy Robinson? The jailed far right activist who has a Love Island fan  According to Reuters, Brownback raised the case in a June meeting with Sir Kim Darroch, Britain's Ambassador to the United States, in talks that covered a range of "religious freedom issues"

Brownback reportedly told Darroch that if Britain did not treat Robinson more sympathetically, the Trump administration might feel forced to publicly criticise the UK's handling of the case

Robinson's supporters are understood to have been in touch with the Trump administration about the issue, expressing concernsthat he could be attacked by other prisoners

On Thursday a US State Department spokesman said the "characterisations" of Brownback's meeting with Darroch were "completely false"

The British Embassy declined to comment. Read More Donald Trump's UK visit  Demonstrations in support of Robinson have been organised in London on Saturday to join up with the Welcome Trump procession

Organisers said in a leaflet that Republican U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar and Dutch far-right leader Geert Wilders were scheduled to speak at its rally

But Wilders tweeted on Thursday that he would not attend the rally because the UK Ambassador to the Netherlands, Peter Williams, told Dutch authorities Britain would not provide security for him

It follows demonstrations last Saturday in Leeds which turned violent and where a police officer was seriously injured

A spokesman for ant-racist Hope Not Hate, said: "In the week President Trump comes to the UK, his hand-picked diplomat allying himself with a far-right convicted fraudster perhaps shouldn't be too much of a shock

"  Robinson's real name is Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon, but he has been known to use several aliases over the years, including Andrew McMaster and Paul Harris

Why was he jailed in May 2018?  Robinson was thrown behind bars for contempt of court for 13 months on May 25, 2018, but no-one was allowed to know why at first

A judge had already sentenced him to three months imprisonment suspended for 18 months last May, after he was found in contempt of court over a case in Canterbury

He was warned that committing further offences would result in imprisonment.   But in May this year Robinson live-streamed a Facebook video from outside Leeds Crown Court that was watched 250,000 times

The video included comments that could have caused the collapse of a long-running trial, costing hundreds of thousands of pounds

The media - including anyone using Facebook Live - were banned from reporting details of the trial until it finished

As well as breaching this order, Robinson also made comments that impacted on the defendants' right to a fair hearing before a jury

His sentence sparked a mass protest outside Downing Street as supporters called for his release, with the slogan #FreeTommy

Billy Bush & Wife Sydney: Why They Split — Did Trump's 'Grab 'Em By The Pu**y' Video Tear Them Apart - Duration: 2:36.

Billy Bush and his wife Sydney are sadly splitting after being married for 20 years and their demise may have been caused by his controversial conversation with Donald Trump that went public back in 2016

Billy Bush's wife of 20 years, Sydney, shockingly filed for divorce from the television personality on July 14 and the longstanding problems within their marriage may have started after Billy's controversial scandal with Donald Trump back in 2016

"Billy's whole life was basically ruined by the release of the Donald Trump 'Grab 'em by the p*ssy' tape," a source close to Billy EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife

"He ended up losing the two things dearest to him–his career, and his marriage." As most people know, Billy was terminated from his new gig on NBC's the Today Show after the scandal

"After Billy lost his job, he was plunged into a really dark time, and it wasn't long before he and Sydney started struggling," the source continued

"At first, Billy held out hope that they would be able to work through their problems and get their relationship back on track, but it soon became apparent that their marriage was over, and no amount of therapy and counseling was going to be able to save it

"    Billy's marriage troubles are not surprising considering the infamous audio between him and Donald proved they were both talking about women in a crude way

Despite the disrespectful comments, it seems Billy was simply trying to take part in the conversation that Donald was trying to have with him and according to those who know him best, Billy's character is a lot different than what was portrayed

"It's truly sad, Billy is really one of the nicest guys in the business, and he's lost everything, and yet Trump has gone on to become the president of the United States—something really is off there, karma-wise," the source explained

Billy's fate and Donald's fate have been very different indeed. Although it seems like this is the first beginning of the end for Billy and Sydney, the former couple previously caused headlines for separating back in Sept

2017 so it seems like it's been a long time coming. We hope they can both go through the tough transition as smoothly as possible and that they both find happiness in the future

Dobbs:Rosenstein, Mueller want to destr0y Trump's presidency: Chris Farrell - Duration: 17:51.

we noted a very strange similarity in the behavior that conduct the body

language of Peter struck and Ron Rosenstein that has nothing to do with

obstruction of justice please watch the body language from these two separate

men as they testify look at this both strike and Rosen Stein looking like

some sort of insolent schoolboys wiggling squirming around in their

chairs it is just very strange to say the very least

and the smirks you can't buy that at any of the finest stores anywhere

joining me now Gina Loudon political analyst member of the president's media

advisory board Tom Giordano radio talk show host on Philadelphia's WP HT good

to have you both with us let me let me start Gina with you

I mean rod Rosen Stein bouncing up in a chair struck sitting there I don't know

what that all of that was about these are strange strange folks involved at

the top levels of the Justice and FBI yeah well Lou as you know I can't

diagnose someone I have never seen clinically but I would tell you that

looking at them with my background in psychology and knowing that they both

still work for the FBI I hope that they are keeping up with their psychological

assessments because something is very amiss here the the energy that they have

to do that in body language terms what that is Lou is that they have too much

energy inside of them they don't know what to do they can't throw their hands

up in the air and panic right they can't run out of the room so there's just

energy boiling over in them probably from nervousness or something that they

may be hiding and that's why you see all these bizarre jerks and gestures maybe

that's why they put spies in the in the Trump campaign Dom to give them another

blow yep Lou you know James background psychology Minds education if I had

struck in front of me in a classroom it's not extra energy this guy smirk is

just smugness arrogance not just short Trump

toward the American people that's what he was bubbling over with that's what he

couldn't wait to get into it with these Congress people let me turn to this is

one for you to analyze Gina Chuck Schumer says the president should cancel

his meeting let's take a look at this quote from Schumer suddenly the talking

points the overriding talking point of the Democrats this quote from Schumer

President Trump should cancel this meeting with Vladimir Putin until Russia

takes demonstrable and transparent steps to prove that we won't interfere in

future that they will interfere in future elections glad-handing with

Vladimir Putin on the heels of these indictments would be an insult to our

democracy well you know all of the arrogance isn't reserved for the Justice

Department and the FBI leadership is it no sir the the insult to our democracy

and that's by the way a Republican democracy but anyway the the insult to

our democratic republic right now is what happened today with Rosenstein

exactly as you have pointed out your entire show you know what lugar what

your anger is very righteous you have millions of Americans behind you who see

that this is a threat to our national security and if this wasn't discussed

with our president before he in which I can't imagine it was when he's getting

ready for this meeting with Putin then I can't see how this isn't tantamount to

treason we'll have to watch and see and I certainly don't know all the policies

and procedures but that's the only thing that makes sense to me this doesn't look

like that this was handled well at all and I think Roseman Stein needs to be

fired and perhaps worse that's the insult to our democracy

I'm your thoughts you get the last word that time yeah the timing of this I mean

to Gina's point the timing of it to do it today and then to have this it takes

away strike from the front page but it also puts the president in this position

with Putin where he can't go in fresh and go after him on these things it

weakens him it diminishes him and then all they have is to say don't meet with

them the timing is incredibly suspect no suspect and if there's also

everyone's ignoring ya the lot of the last administration Obama's

administration at least recognized they were passive as always on everything he

did nothing but at least they put in writing the expression that the United

States could interpret a cyberattack is an act of war and respond accordingly

you know something something needs to be said well beyond this we've reached this

point where everybody thinks it's about putting together a phrase or what the

president says or what some official says action counts and luckily we have a

president who is a man of action Gina great to have you with us good to see

you good to see you thanks for being here Bakula we appreciate it very much

our guest now to discuss all of this in Rosen Stein his incompetence in

overseeing the Special Counsel and its investigation we are joined now by Chris

Farrell who is the head of research and investigations for Judicial Watch Chris

great to have you here you heard what I had to say about it

I am so disgusted that the National locked wing media has become a bunch of

complicit to me in nert figures in what has become a tragic play in which the

national security isn't even discussed by the Deputy Attorney General he is so

intent on playing games that I just find this such reprehensible conduct by

anyone in the Justice Department and by the way the White House and taking this

thing and acting as though it's necessary to defend the president I

think is absolutely beyond explanation or tolerance by the president this is a

deeply subversive political attack by Rosenstein and Muller against the

president when he's in the middle of a foreign affairs event or actually

week-long he's conducting foreign policy he is talking about some of the most

important issues in national security whether it be the support by all of the

29 nation for NATO or whether it be a head face to

face head to head meeting with Vladimir Putin and you have the idiot Democrat

saying they shouldn't talk to him I own he only has their 6500 warheads you know

ready to use at any moment I mean this is them the mindlessness of them of this

particular period in our history is overwhelming Rosenstein and molar want

to destroy Trump the man and the Trump presidency

let's be a hundred percent clear this is a publicity stunt I don't think there's

any way no one should doubt that for a moment this was a publicity stunt to

push back on the atrocious strike event yesterday where he humiliated himself

from the FBI and had a little tip for mr. Rosenstein hey go back and take a

look at that uh one Democratic House server you want to go look at a

cybersecurity issue instead of sweeping it under the rug go back and do an

investigation there because the substantial documentation that shows

that there was a grave national security crime there and point two how do they

know that the Democratic National Committee server was actually ever

attacked or penetrated because the FBI punted they allowed CrowdStrike

to do the investigation and the news flash CrowdStrike is not a law

enforcement agency with the Democratic Party correct makes these annuities by

the way Chris it makes them based these indictments I mean I it's it's her

betray to even form the word there are basically they're based on hearsay they

have and and I want an investigation in why the FBI did not demand access to

those servers it was not some sort of legal issue it's a matter of national

damn security there was we've got we've got a nation's capital acting like and

I'm talking about most of nearly all of the democratic party and and far too

many of the Republicans as if there's no national security issue here as they can

blithely along with the business-as-usual

attitude when it comes to both political corruption and outright corruption the

same Democrats that applauded Strock and one ridiculous member of Congress

dishonored and insulted every combat wounded veteran in the country's history

by suggesting he be given a Purple Heart and we're talking about a moron I mean

how insulting can it be that this guy who through an investigation and then

tried to steer an election that he should be honored in any way he had the

Democrats on those committees sat there and applauded him and we want to talk

about a low point in the history of the House of Representatives that was

yesterday yes and it was also is sometimes these

events are want to be there was also on display great courage and by the way the

freedom caucus stood tall insisting on getting to the truth and they had

moments in which they succeeded they did and mr. Gohmert raised a very important

point about the penetration by a hostile foreign intelligence service or entity

of Hillary Clinton's server and I'm waiting for that one to be unwound

Judicial Watch is pursuing it I trust you trust me on that yeah I I trust you

on it Chris I don't think Judicial Watch can come close to serving the national

security interests that right now have been absolutely betrayed by this Justice

Department and let me be very clear about that

this is a Justice Department playing political games and politicizing further

a rancid lee corrupt politically corrupt Justice Department

an FBI and then the Deputy Attorney General in front of cameras and

microphones having the temerity to talk to the American people about patriotism

rather than partisanship that should make everyone nauseas sick to their

stomachs at what we are tolerating in our kind and our nation's capital you

know this is the kind of guy who engages in really subversive behavior while

wrapping himself in the flag it's disgusting in today's hearings on

Capitol Hill congressman Ron de Santas pressing anti-trump agent Peter Strahm

over the discredited so-called dossier and the origin of the phony Russia probe

Strock refused to directly answer whether crooked Hillary Clinton and the

DNC actually funded that fake dossier the dossier was not part of it that's

important when did you learn that dossier was funded by Hillary Clinton in

the Democratic Party I cannot I don't think that's an accurate representation

in the department or the FBI's directed me not to answer that question they son

right so Hillary DNC sent to Perkins cuy who sent the fusion who paid you know I

mean come on little document I the latter's close I'm not I cannot comment

the FBI has directed me to not answer that

dossier what would you choose is it is it a political document opposition

research or is it legitimate intelligence sir I I would very much

like to answer that question okay I've been directed by the FBI that I may not

get into that based on operational requirements or equities congressman Ron

de santis joins us now congressman that was quite caught the hearing and and I

have to say you all I you Republicans acquitted yourselves extraordinarily

well you and in questioning him closely producing the groundwork for what became

the answer that he gave congressman Jordan which is talking about the

dossier and finally getting permission apparently from the FBI to tell the

truth for once yeah look Lou I mean I think that Peter

struck came across as very smug very arrogant and a lot of his explanations

for his text messages as the inspector general had said to are just not

credible when he says oh what I really meant by saying we'll stop Trump from

being elected I just meant the American people won't vote for him bull so he was

giving these explanations and doing it in a very haughty tone but I got to tell

you he was upstaged by the behavior of the Democrats I mean you actually had a

Democrat say that because struck was testifying and we were asking him hard

questions that he deserved a Purple Heart we mean we will that absurd can

you can you be to say suggest something like that

well the Dems were trying to out absurd one another throughout that hearing is

yes I'm sure you were frustrated by their conduct their behavior their

language III mean obstructing stalling trying to actually stop struck from

saying anything expecially for them it didn't work out

that way well they're running I've never seen them run interference for somebody

like they did any time he was getting questioned and really put they would try

to jump in and interrupt and it's strange because you've been saying that

there's this Trump Russia collusion so if that were true wouldn't you once

struck to be answering questions instead they realize that this whole thing with

his bias and how it started they realized they don't want the answers to

those questions and so I think that's why you saw them behave the way they did

I thought it was disgraceful their conduct absolutely disgraceful and

producing the testimony of struck that indeed John McCain had passed over very

similar material to the fake dossier to the FBI

that Bruce or and his wife Nellie were working for fusion GPS had been part of

the conduit for that material to go into the FBI

these are extraordinary developments and tonight we're asking the question our

evening question is very simply is this the beginning of the end of the special

counsel because this is a obviously an FBI that is rife with corruption and and

bias that turned into an absolute assault of subversion against the

President of the United States well I think the credibility of that whole

thing I think it's it is shot the fact of the matter is when you have that type

of bias when you have Bruce or acting as like a political operative and a Justice

Department feeding opposition research to people

like struck in the FBI and they're launching a counterintelligence

investigation and and obviously they puffed it up past

the election and all into the special council that is really unprecedented it

was an abuse of the surveillance powers and the counterintelligence powers of

the government and look Lisa page is now gonna come tomorrow or she's gonna be

helding at that but I think she actually is going to show up so she's gonna have

to answer questions as well and I think we're finally starting to make progress

on this thing but one thing we do have to do Lou you and I've talked about it

if we don't get those documents from Rosenstein we've got to hold them in

contempt and we just got to do it we can do the article articles of impeachment

but unless that's hanging out over there I think they're gonna continue to stall

on some of this stuff and we have some momentum going now we got to keep it up

right and to see the truth being revealed III got to get your reaction

very quickly we're over time but I want to get your reaction to rod Rosenstein

the Deputy Attorney General sending out a personal message to 93 US Attorney's

asking for three federal prosecutors to be forwarded their names forwarded to

him - as he put it aid in the vetting of Brett Kavanaugh is

the associate is the Justice of the Supreme Court I mean have you ever seen

such a I mean this to me is beyond the pale well look I mean you know

Rosenstein he did a Special Counsel appointment without identifying a

criminal offense all didn't follow though the rules there I don't know

where he's getting the the authority to do this or why would be good to do this

to me it seems like an unprecedented action I don't know what's motivating it

but I think he does need to explain why he's doing this it just seems weird

absolutely and you know the questions keep mounting when it comes to the

Deputy Attorney General it seems in every quarter congressman again

congratulations on a great day we appreciate it congressman Rhonda Sabbath

PRESIDENT TRUMP PLANS TO MEET WITH PUTIN ONE-ON-ONE AT THE START OF THE SUMMIT - Duration: 16:30.

the battle over Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh intensifies as

Republicans gear up for a tough confirmation fight and Democrats bow a

fierce fight as well Lauren green live in New York with more hi Lauren hey I

fell well you know Hillary Clinton and senator Elizabeth Warren are the latest

to add their voices to the cores of Democrats of vehemently opposing Trump's

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh looking more like a presidential

candidate the former Secretary of State gave a fiery 25 minute speech Friday to

the American Federation of Teachers Union in downtown Pittsburgh she equated

the choice of Circuit Court Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the High Court with

reversing every social change in the last century and a half I used to worry

that they wanted to turn the clock back to the 1950s now I worry they want to

turn it back to the 1850s earlier today Republican rather senator Warren this

afternoon actually vilified the choice for what it would mean for for unions

but earlier today Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah who was on the long

list consider for the high court blasted Clinton's words as just plain out of

line that's absurd hyperbolic rhetoric and I think

Secretary Clinton should be ashamed of those comments and I call upon her to

rescind them it's not helpful it's not accurate

I consider it completely disingenuous and I think it reflects a certain animus

that certain members of the Democratic Party have now harbored for decades

toward Republicans personal animus okay no date has been set for the Senate

confirmation hearings but Mitch McConnell says they'll probably start in

late August early September and time for Cavanaugh to be on the high court when

it starts its next term October 1st thank you for squeezing that out Lauren

green and we're back after this break and we begin with a Fox News Alert as we

learned that President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a

joint news conference after their meeting in Helsinki Finland on Monday

hello everyone welcome to a brand new hour inside America's News headquarters

I'm arthel neville Anna Loretha hello everyone I'm Eric Sean you know the

president spending this weekend at his golf course in Scotland as he looks

ahead and is preparing for Monday summit with Vladimir Putin

you know those talks happening just days after those stunning indictments of

those 12 Russian intelligence officers for hacking into the computers of the

Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton and trying to interfere

with our presidential election Kevin cork is live in Glasgow Scotland

with more so Kevin what can you tell us about Monday scheduled news conference

between these two world leaders well first of all it'll probably happen

fairly early in the day you know maybe nine o'clock or so and that's because of

the massive time difference between Washington and Helsinki seven hours so

we suspect this will happen early fairly relatively early the day but number two

we expect a number of questions are tell about the things that you would expect

us to all talk about right we're talking about Russian election meddling the

Kremlin's actions in Syria Crimea Ukraine and most notably mr. Putin's

willingness to work with our President on issues of common interests so be sure

to join Fox News for Fox News for live coverage happening Monday from Helsinki

Finland we have a massive staff on-scene as the two leaders take questions it

should be very interesting arthel certainly have a massive team out there

to cover all the angles and meanwhile Kevin they're more protests greeting the

president today this time though in smaller numbers across Scotland what can

you tell us about that

yeah indeed a limited number of protests and certainly smaller indeed and part of

that's because of the size of the country naturally speaking but I also

think that speaks perhaps to the fact that the president's mother is actually

from Scotland you may know this she actually immigrated to the u.s. from

Scotland back in 1930 but there were still protests nonetheless sweeping the

streets of Edinburgh this morning and into the afternoon most of the folks

there obviously voicing their opposition to the president's return to Scotland

although some of the crowd were actually voicing their support for the president

there was also our cell a smattering of protesters over at Turnberry where the

president of course golf's they were shouting at him a little bit as he

waited they made his way around the course although obviously there were

also supporters among those who were gathered now for his part listen the

president didn't seem to mind he even fact waved at the demonstrators even

tweeted this morning that his time on the links is his primary form of

exercise which of course made a lot of people chuckle and hey I got no problem

with that if that's not you'd like to exercise

don't forget while it's a quiet night here in Scotland for the first family we

do know that the White House tells us the president's preparations for the

upcoming summit with President Putin does continue throughout the weekend of

course as we get more details we'll pass them along but Monday ourselves should

be something else should be something else core working golf court work Kevin

Koury thank you now for more in those indictments you know twelve Russian

military intelligence officers from the GRU charged with hacking into the DNC

server and one in Hillary Clinton's personal office in 2016 while Deputy

Attorney General rod Rosen Stein announced those indictments yesterday

just days of course before this much-anticipated meeting between the

President Trump and Vladimir Putin Gillian Turner has more now from

Washington in a new 29 page indictment the DOJ released yesterday the Russia

special Council draws a direct link between Vladimir Putin's government and

election meddling the indictment charges 12 Russian military Intel officers with

conspiring to interfere with the 2016 presidential election specifically

they're accused of hacking and releasing emails from the Clinton campaign

the DNC and the d-triple-c both the Deputy Attorney General and the White

House taking care to point out one particular feature of the indictment the

fact it doesn't include accusations that any American citizens committed any

crimes experts say the reality is that the

Russians are highly unlikely to extradite any of their officials to the

US for prosecution we confront foreign interference in American elections it's

important for us to avoid thinking politically as Republicans or Democrats

and instead to think patriotically as Americans and in the wake of the

indictments release condemnation of the administration's handling of election

meddling has been Swift and indeed bipartisan these indictments are clear

that the Russian investigation is not a witch-hunt

I hope would be that the president and his allies would cease and desist from

calling the Muller investigation a witch-hunt and a statement from senior

Republican Senator John McCain says in part quote despite repeated warnings

from our nation's top intelligence and military leaders the Kremlin's efforts

to weaken our institutions have continued unabated with insufficient

action taken by the administration this Special Counsel bombshell comes just two

and a half days before President Trump slated to meet with Putin one-on-one in

Helsinki it's a high stakes summit with top-tier national security issues on the

agenda but now many Democrats are calling for President Trump to cancel

the summit in response to this indictment Eric all right thanks Gillian

and a little later this hour we'll have Steve Sam Voss here he's director of the

Illinois Board of Elections that was one state that was hacked by the Russians

you would join us to react to these indictments and lay out what his agency

is doing to protect the voters there I tell Eric thank you and the Russia

summit comes amid new concerns about national security as defense secretary

James Madison defense Chiefs and Director of National Intelligence Dan

Coates issued a stepped-up warning about the threat from cyberattacks national

security correspondent Jennifer Griffin is live in Washington so Jennifer tell

us more about the nature of director coats warning well arthel it's notable

that his prepared remarks at the Hudson Institute came shortly after the

this department announced the new Russian indictments and just days before

the president meets Vladimir Putin he warned about escalating cyber attacks on

US infrastructure and even the power grid ahead of the midterm elections

Director of National Intelligence dan coats issued the kind of warning

reminiscent of pre 9/11 intelligence warnings that went unheeded the warning

lights are brick blinking red again today the digital infrastructure that

serves this country is literally under attack every day foreign actors the

worst offenders being Russia China Iran and North Korea the US intelligence

director singled out Russia as the most aggressive foreign actor in terms of

cyber attacks against the US he accused Russia of continuing to undermine US

democracy adding quote we are just one click away on the keyboard from a

similar situation repeating itself a reference to the 2016 election hack this

week's Justice Department indictment says half a million US voters had their

data stolen by the Russian military and intelligence hacker who managed to get

into various state election boards arthel me Jennifer meanwhile what has

defense secretary matt has been working on since the NATO summit well he left

Brussels and went straight to meet with two NATO allies when defense secretary

mattis met with his Balkan counterparts he did not mention Russia by name in his

public remarks but it was clear who he was referring to on board his plane he

called Russia out by name just days before the president is set to meet

Putin Russia factors in

in the southeastern Europe area as a destabilizing element they have chosen

to come in and to undermine the Democratic fabric of Nations that are

young and their democratic processes a new Fox News poll this week shows voters

think President Trump has been too soft on Russia yet a majority approves of his

July 16th meeting with the Russian president a 53 percent majority thinks

President Trump is not tough enough on Russia including 32 percent of

Republicans the president still plans to meet with Vladimir Putin with only a

translator present raising concerns among intelligence experts who believe

that that is extremely risky at this point back to you Jennifer Griffin thank

you and from all of this let's bring an ambassador John Herbst he's former US

ambassador to Ukraine and you better stand and ease director of the Atlantic

Council's Eurasia center ambassador good to see you thank you for joining us this

afternoon see you or what is the most important message do you think that the

president can give to Vladimir Putin and do you think that mr. Trump will bring

it I would hope that President Trump follows up on something he said a few

weeks ago they would tell mr. Putin he would like to have better relations with

him but that would require Putin to get his forces out of Ukraine to stop

playing around in Syria and to abide by its international commitments including

arms control agreements with us well I think I hope he would say yeah do you

think that he will will be that blunt well we have not seen any real

indication of his willingness to confront Putin to the contrary he's

likes to send to say send soft messages to the Russians for example his

statement at the g7 summit the Russia piece should be readmitted to the g8 his

incorrect statements regret that Crimea might belong to Russia why do you think

the president takes those positions I don't know the answer to that I just

know he says things like that regularly going back to two years ago but by the

same token the policies of his administration have been stronger and

tougher against Kremlin aggression than that of his predecessors so the policies

have actually been better what what do you think Putin who listened to I'm in

one hand he has as you say this kind of a

by the president for him perhaps yet at the same time as you point out his

administration has been tougher lethal weapons to Ukraine as you know tougher

sanctions especially on the oligarchs the people who are close to the Latimer

Putin so it's really almost like you know two different messages there

it certainly is two different messages I would prefer one but the policy message

is the most important I think mr. Putin is still hoping that somehow the Trump

who says pleasant things to him will be the Trump who demands the u.s. policy

head in that direction I don't think that mr. Putin's hopes will be achieved

the president has in the past said that he the the people in Crimea for example

they would rather be Russia and they share the same language you know he is

mirrored exactly what a Putin is said that's kind of like the Russian line you

were former ambassador to the Ukraine what would you tell Putin and what would

you advise the president to say on the Ukraine issue whereas you know the

fighting is still continuing and it was the first time Russia invaded a European

country you know since World War two first I would tell our president that

Crimea belongs to Ukraine and that the last time polls were taken before the

Russian seized it into 2014 a majority of people in Crimea wanted to remain

part of Ukraine that I would tell mr. Trump to mr. Putin that it's time for

mr. Putin to get his troops out of Dunbar's to stop the war that he's

conducting there and to remove himself from Crimea and return it to Ukraine and

then when that happens sanctions can be lifted and we can establish better

relations you think there should be tougher sanctions that would force Putin

potentially to do that but I mean there really is no chance that Putin would

pull his forces out I mean they're building a big land bridge right now you

know he needs that that access to for that for his basis I think you have a

good point and while I believe that we will see Russia withdraw from Dunbar

some time in the years to come I think Russia getting out of Crimea

will probably be a decade's long process Wow remember the Russians did not want

to get out of the Baltic states and we never recognized Soviet control over the

Baltic States but eventually they left that will happen too with Crimea but

again it may take decades and do you fear that verse

Crimea next is Moldova you know and trans nestor and that maybe Putin will

come out of this meeting thinking he could gobble Samora I think that the

Russians have their hands full and done boss right now they expected to win the

war there easily and they've been fought to a standstill

you're right though they may still commit provocations elsewhere as you say

in Transnistria they may try it in Georgia even more dangerous they may try

it in the Baltic States but I think the stronger policies we've seen there in

increased sanctions the weapons supply to Ukraine is raising the price for the

Kremlin of its aggression and over time especially if we strengthen those

policies Russia will get out and get out sooner and finally they're going to have

a joint news conference considering the fact that Russia launched an attack

against us do you think it's appropriate for the President of the United States

to stand next to someone who basically who's denied it but who basically was in

charge of a cyber attack against our very democracy at the heart of what this

nation represents III can see the value of meetings if the president the United

States pursues American interests and demonstrates American strength if he

tells Putin to stop out the aggression to stop aggressing in Ukraine to stop

provoking in the Baltic states to pursue a moderate policy in Syria that would be

a good message and should they stand together do you think in a news

conference again I don't have a problem with that as long as the president the

United States is saying the right thing all right well it's going to be

fascinating Monday sometime on Monday when that does happen through the

meetings or George HW Bush sat down with Gorbachev of course I'm at a joint news

conference with with the Gorbachev but of course that was a different age

ambassador John Herbst thank you so much for your insight my pleasure

you

Scott and this is the Fox report from the capital of Edinburgh to his Resort

demonstrations against President Trump as he looks to play a few rounds ahead

of a height steak summit with Vladimir Putin on Monday now we're learning the

two leaders will hold a joint news conference after their meeting in

Helsinki the summit still on despite opposition on Capitol Hill Democrats

arguing mr. Trump should back out after the Justice Department indicted 12

Russian intelligence officials for election meddling Senator Lindsey Graham

saying mr. Trump should be tough with mr. Putin when they meet face to face

and if I were the president I would not ask Putin did you do it I would reject

his denial I know you did it and if you continue to do it we'll never have a

good relationship I desire a good relationship but you got to stop

meddling in our election Kevin cork is in Glasgow Kevin was there ever any

question the White House would go through with this summit despite the

opposition to the talks by Democrats on Capitol Hill

none at all my friend no question they said listen we're gonna do this in fact

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was asked about that and he said listen we really

strongly believe that meeting with Vladimir Putin will put America in a

better place and so yes the two leaders will meet each other Monday and Helsinki

Finland they'll also meet the press' sometime between 9:00 and noon now I say

that because of that massive time difference between Washington and

Helsinki about seven hours and so we're thinking sometime between 9:00 a.m. and

noon the two men will have that press conference of course we'll bring you the

yet right here on Fox News Channel it's a chance by the way John for journalists

to quiz the Russian President about Syria Ukraine Crimea election meddling

nerve agent murders and yes working with the u.s. to improve relations and

business opportunities but our two countries again coverage live

for you right here on fox news channel on monday so we know kevin the president

hit the links today at his golf club there in scotland what else is he doing

this weekend yeah a bit of a golf respite right especially after a number

of meetings over in Belgium and certainly in England as well so the

president hit the links today now that also comes as he has to continue his

preparation for the summit coming up Monday in Helsinki in fact White House

officials tell us he will do that throughout this weekend now tonight it's

obviously time to hit the hay as they say but tomorrow maybe a little golf and

then once again back to his preparations before Monday's meeting in Finland but

as you can imagine free speech being a cornerstone of any good democracy there

were some competing voices being heard this afternoon here in Scotland protest

greeting the president over in Edinburgh a much smaller scale than what we saw in

London meanwhile I should also point this out John some protesters actually

turned up at the president's club over in turn break the usual tranquility and

undulating beauty of the countryside their disrupted starkly so by chance and

signs and some jeers from a few of the locals now the President himself frankly

didn't seem to be bothered by all of it just took it in stride wrapping up his

round this morning waving at demonstrators at one point and yep he

kept right on playing a relaxing evening tonight here in Scotland for the first

family but tomorrow a little bit more golf and definitely preparations for

Monday's big meeting in Helsinki John of course will be there for you but in the

meantime back to you New York and I hear he is a very good golfer Kevin cork

thank you meanwhile Deputy Attorney General rod Rosen's time talking about

the indictment of 12 Russian government officials for meddling in the 2016

election he says their goal was to hurt Hillary Clinton but there is no evidence

of any impact on the outcome of the election Rosen Stein also making it

clear no Americans were indicted there's no allegation that any American citizen

there's no allegation that the conspiracy changed the funk count or

affected any election result Gillian Turner has more on this from our DC

bureau in a new 29 page indictment the DOJ released yesterday the Russia

special Council draws a direct link between Vladimir Putin's government and

election meddling the indictment charges 12 Russian military Intel officers with

conspiring to interfere with the 2016 presidential election specifically

they're accused of hacking and releasing emails from the Clinton campaign the DNC

and the d-triple-c both the Deputy Attorney General and the White House

taking care to point out one particular feature of the indictment the fact it

doesn't include accusations that any American citizens committed any crimes

experts say the reality is that the Russians are highly unlikely to

extradite any of their officials to the US for prosecution we confront foreign

interference in American elections it's important for us to avoid thinking

politically as Republicans or Democrats and instead to think patriotically as

Americans and in the wake of the indictments release condemnation of the

administration's handling of election meddling has been Swift and indeed

bipartisan these indictments are year that the Russian investigation is not a

witch-hunt my hope would be that the president and his allies would cease and

desist from calling the Muller investigation a witch-hunt and a

statement from seeing a Republican Senator John McCain says in part quote

despite repeated warnings from our nation's top intelligence and military

leaders the Kremlin's efforts to weaken our institutions have continued unabated

with insufficient action taken by the administration this Special Counsel

bombshell comes just two and a half days before President Trump slated to meet

with Putin one-on-one in Helsinki it's a high stakes summit with top-tier

national security issues on the agenda but now many Democrats are calling for

President Trump to cancel it in response to this indictment John Gillian Turner

Jillian thanks for more on this here's Axios reporter erika pandey what a wild

turn of events the indictment of these 12 Russian government officials just

ahead of the Putin Trump summit absolutely and let's not forget NATO I

mean the timing of this summit was already something that people were

talking about because allies were worried that the president was gonna

slam NATO allies and then go praise President Putin and then on top of that

we've got these indictments so there's just that much pressure for the

president to unambiguously you know condemn Russia on election meddling here

there's an argument that the meeting should be canceled and Putin shouldn't

be rewarded for election meddling with the leader of the free with for election

meddling with the meeting with the leader of the free world but the

argument you know for going ahead with the summit is that this is the time to

confront him on this issue a lot of there's been a lot of press about the

fact that that observers say there's more in this for Putin than there is for

President Trump that that by you know being seen on the world stage as sort of

a co-equal he can spin that to his own people much to his advantage

more so than our president can I mean people said the same thing when the

president met with North Korea's leader Kim they were saying don't legitimize

him with a meeting with the US president at the same time I mean Jillian said

that there's so many high stakes security issues here that a meeting real

is necessary and you know you've got indictments is one issue but then

there's Syria there's Crimea and we've known that Putin is one to surprise

world leaders that at the negotiating table so the president needs to go into

this prepared and you know wig back up alright the the question of this whole

election meddling thing obviously has been be deviling this president he sort

of changes the focus by suggesting that the Obama administration could have done

more listen to this all right I'm sorry I thought we had the sound from the

president it's actually a tweet from him his preferred form of communication of

course these Russian individuals did their work during the Obama years why

didn't Obama do something about it because he thought crooked Hillary

Clinton would win that's why had nothing to do with the Trump administration but

fake news doesn't want to report the truth as usual the fact is there is more

that the Obama administration could have been done and they were aware that much

of this meddling was going on right absolutely I mean the President does

have a point there the Obama administration could have done more

could have said more but the thing is he's president now and and it's it's

well for better or for worse it's in the president's hands president Trump's

hands to do something about this and that's what concerns experts the most is

that he hasn't publicly condemned Russia on election meddling as of yet even

though you know secretary Nielsen has and dni Coates has just this weekend

some have suggested that the president might be willing to sort of a sense to

Russia's annexation of Crimea in exchange for something else perhaps help

in Syria perhaps help with the Iranians right we saw that happen with China you

know we had the ban on the Chinese phone maker ZTE and then for she's helped on

North Korea the president sort of acquiesced that could definitely happen

but the president has said in his press conference with Prime Minister May that

he definitely will be bringing up Crimea and will be bringing up Ukraine so we'll

see what happens as for the views of America

voters according to the latest Fox News poll 53% of Americans say President

Trump is not tough enough on Russia that is up slightly from April when we last

took that poll and there's Senator Lindsey Graham who says that President

Trump has to convince Putin that he can either be his best friend or his worst

enemy listen he's got to convince Putin that there's a better relationship

available between the United States and Russia but here are the terms and

conditions and if he failed to meet those terms and conditions I'm going to

be your worst enemy I could be your best friend but I could

be your worst enemy and if Putin doesn't believe that that will be a mistake

these are our two well matched leaders I mean President Trump considers himself a

great negotiator wrote the art of the deal but but Vladimir Putin trained as a

KGB agent trained in all kinds of subterfuge and psychological warfare

it's gonna be an interesting meeting absolutely I mean the examples of what

Putin does we had that story of him bringing in a dog into the meeting with

uncle Merkel because of her fear of aunt animals former leader of Latvia said he

told her that it was going to be an informal meeting but then showed up with

a big stack of papers so he's got that under his belt of surprising world

leaders and then one thing to look out for right away while the president has

said Crimea is going to come up Putin's spokesman is saying that it's off the

table so I mean things are already looking off-kilter here

yeah because obviously that that is still an issue that that is of vital

importance to the United States and and president Trump likely would want to

talk about that right exactly but what a Putin wants him to or not exactly so I

mean he'll bring it up if he wants to but then again we saw him call for

Russia to be let back into g7 when Crimea was the actual reason that they

were kicked out so I mean we'll see what happens there's just no telling her cap

and II will talk to you again again a bit later

thank you well the battle over the president's Supreme Court nominee

heating up with the latest attack on judge Kavanaugh coming from a very

high-profile Democrat but Republican Senator Mike Lee thinks Kavanagh still

will be confirmed I'd nonetheless predict we'll end up

with every Republican supporting judge Cavanaugh's confirmation I also think

we'll end up with a few Democrats Lauren Green joins us live from New York City

with more Lauren hey John well you know this entire week where Democrats has

been about pushing back against Trump's Supreme Court nominee Hillary Clinton

and senator Elizabeth Warren are the latest to add their voices to the chorus

vehemently opposing Brett Kavanaugh Hillary Clinton delivered a fiery

diatribe to the American Federation of Teachers Union in Pittsburgh last night

she equated the choice of Judge Cavanaugh to the High Court

with reversing every social change in the last century and a half I used to

worry that they wanted to turn the clock back to the 1950s now I worry they want

to turn it back to the 1850s and speaking this afternoon to the same

group senator Warren vilified the choice for what it would mean for unions

Trudgen names someone who would stand up for working people the way he promised

Trump didn't name someone who would help the unions or even someone who would

just leave the unions alone no Trump's nominee was the deciding vote in the

Janice case which is the latest attempt to break the backs of the unions now

critics have said the venom spewing from the left is about less about Cavanaugh

and more about how still at each Ward's Trump John Lauren Greene what about the

Republicans what are they say well you know very few Republicans have fired

back any really big salvos back today and many who spoke this week defended

Cavanaugh's character or expressed confidence in the confirmation process

Senator John McCain tweeted judge Brett Kavanaugh has impeccable credentials a

strong record of upholding the Constitution and while Louisiana Senator

John Kennedy said he would hold Kavanagh to the same standards as the last

nominee to be confirmed Neal Gorsuch

a person of wisdom but also someone has the courage of his convictions I want to

know what's in his head but I also wonder what's in his heart the bottom

line is Republicans control the Senate and may only need a party-line vote for

Cavanaugh to become the next Supreme Court justice now no date has been set

for the Senate confirmation hearings to begin Majority Leader Mitch McConnell

says he expects they'll start in late August or early September and then

Cavanaugh could be confirmed in time for the high courts a new term on October

1st John Warren green Lauren thank you

you

Donald Trump Fights The New World Order - Duration: 11:45.

Donald Trump Fights The New World Order

Left-wing journalists, Democrats, and Never Trump Republicans are terrified that Donald

Trump will attack the liberal world order.

This global system that was set up after World War 2 has allowed other nations to benefit

from the United States footing the bill for defense and agreeing to international trade

deals.

That's why world leaders were shocked when Donald Trump send this letter that broke the

back of the liberal world order.

Donald Trump was elected President to put America First.

Past Presidents – especially Barack Obama – were eager to enter into international

agreements and institutions that eroded the United States sovereignty.

One institution President Trump has repeatedly questioned is NATO.

During the campaign, Trump blasted the alliance as "obsolete" because it was put together

to fight an enemy that no longer exists – the Soviet Union.

Trump felt NATO should be reoriented towards fighting radical Islamic terrorism.

As President, Trump has also been troubled by the fact that very few NATO members actually

meet the alliance's requirement of spending two percent of their GDP on national defense.

These nations build large welfare states because America foots the bill for their defense.

President Trump has complained loudly about this imbalance, but he is now prepared to

back up his tough talk.

Trump fired off a letter in June to leaders of NATO nations – including Germany, Norway,

Belgium and Canada – taking them to task for shirking their responsibility.

The President informed them that unless they met their defense spending obligations, the

United States was prepared to re-evaluate its troop commitments.

The New York Times obtained excerpts of the letter and reported:

"As we discussed during your visit in April, there is growing frustration in the United

States that some allies have not stepped up as promised," Mr. Trump wrote to Chancellor

Angela Merkel of Germany in a particularly pointed letter, according to someone who saw

it and shared excerpts with The New York Times.

"The United States continues to devote more resources to the defense of Europe when the

Continent's economy, including Germany's, are doing well and security challenges abound.

This is no longer sustainable for us."

"Growing frustration," Mr. Trump wrote, "is not confined to our executive branch.

The United States Congress is concerned, as well."

Establishment politicians and pundits were horrified.

But Donald Trump was not elected to serve a globalist agenda.

The American people want to see the status quo disrupted.

Past U.S. Presidents have whined that NATO members don't meet their defense obligations.

Not until Donald Trump came into office did any of them take any meaningful action.

And even though the establishment howled when Trump removed the United States from Obama's

Paris Global Warming Accords and tore up the Iran deal, putting the interests of America

first is why the President enjoys a strong bond with his base.

Do you agree with President Trump's America First policy to have other nations spend more

of their own money on defense?
