The Democratic Party never wastes a chance to conceal one of their scandals, especially

when large amounts of taxpayer dollars are involved.

So, it should come as no surprise that while these liberal elitists were stewing in their

seats during President Donald Trump's powerful State of the Union address, they already had

something up their black, custom-designed sleeves.

While the economy is booming thanks to Trump's incredibly popular tax bill and successful

efforts to decrease unemployment across the board, Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, who spent

the majority of the SOTU scowling and tonguing her dentures, egotistically referred to hardworking

blue-collar Americans receiving $1,000 bonuses as "crumbs."

Of course, when we see the embarrassing and downright indefensible report top Democrats

quietly filed during President Trump's oration, we can see why Pelosi and her aristocratic

ilk would dismiss what's considered a substantial amount of money to most citizens as nothing

more than insignificant scraps.

While the nation was focused on President Donald Trump's monumental SOTU address,

Democrats used the highly televised event as a cover to bury the damning results of

their Federal Election Commission report, which reveals that the Democratic National

Committee not only finished the fiscal year with over $6.1 million of debt but only raised

a paltry $65.9 million for their campaign.

Compared to the fact that the Republican National Committee raised a whopping $132.5 million

and finished the year with absolutely no debt, it's easy to see why Nancy "Crumbs"

Pelosi and her fellow Democrats couldn't care less about American citizens getting

thousands of dollars in bonuses and tax cuts.

The report was officially filed in the middle of the SOTU address, timing that certainly

wasn't coincidental.

In a bid to keep their appalling financial failures from surfacing, the DNC deliberately

attempted to bury their FEC report from the American people as it showcases that the organization

is on the verge of insolvency, i.e. the state of being unable to repay the money they owe.

Interesting timing: @DNC files its @FEC report in the middle of the #SOTU, revealing that

it raised $5.2M last month, but finished the year with $6.1M in debt.

Although they're experts when it comes to spending our money, the Democrats still haven't

mastered fundraising.

In December alone, the DNC had raised just over $5 million before wrapping up 2017 with

$6 million in debt, according to Townhall.

The RNC, however, finished in the black, owing nothing and raising more than double what

their left-leaning counterparts accumulated, boasting a blistering $132.5 million in revenue

compared to the DNC's pathetic $65.9 million.

Additionally, the RNC still has $38.8 million on hand while the DNC barely mustered a measly

$6.3 million, which we can assume is little more than "crumbs" to Pelosi.

According to Hot Air, this is not only a catastrophe for the DNC but a national embarrassment.

This report is nothing short of a disaster.

Having $6.1 million in debt with only $6.3 million cash on hand is basically being broke.

Debt means interest payments, after all, which will eventually overtake the COH position

— and probably sooner rather than later.

The DNC has to be able to spend to set up its fundraising, and right now that's looking

iffy.

Hypocritically, at the same time that the DNC was filing their paperwork, they had the

gall to demand that the FEC probe alleged Russian donations to the National Rifle Association

that they rumor have gone toward helping Donald Trump's campaign.

"A foreign agent illegally laundering millions of foreign dollars to influence an American

election in support of then candidate Donald Trump is absolutely an issue for the Federal

Election Commission to take up," American Legal Democracy Fund (ALDF) treasurer Brad

Woodhouse, a former DNC spokesman, said in a statement.

"We expect the FEC to get to the bottom of this issue swiftly and deliver the results

of a thorough investigation to the American people."

The Democrats run their party like they run the country — with unlimited spending, massive

debt, and little regard for the burdened taxpayers who line their pockets.

Of course, they have no shortage of deflective finger-pointing when they need to take the

heat off of their flagrant incompetence and wastefulness.

If the DNC continues spending and fundraising like they did last year, they will undoubtedly

lose crucial elections.

Considering that the top Democrats are so financially out of touch with the common American

citizen, it's likely that they won't remedy their political predicament anytime soon.

MAGA Trump�s White House Comes Forward With Details Behind Memo Release

It used to be that during the week of the president�s State of the Union, Washington

would stop and consider it for a while.

Welcome to the modern news cycle, however, where it barely took a day for the president�s

speech (a darn good one, by the way) to be dislodged from the headlines by the Great

Memo War of 2018.

The House Intelligence Committee has sent the contentious memo on alleged intelligence

community malfeasance during the 2016 election to the president, courtesy of Chairman Devin

Nunes, a California Republican.

According to Fox News, the Democrats are so livid that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi

actually wrote a letter to House Speaker Paul Ryan demanding Nunes� removal.

�Chairman Nunes� deliberately dishonest actions make him unfit to serve as Chairman,

and he must be immediately removed from this position,� the letter wrote.

So, is the memo dishonest or is it definitive evidence of intelligence wrongdoing?

There�s only one way to find out, which is to read the memo.

And, according to Fox News� John Roberts, you�re going to be able to do that relatively

soon, thanks to President Trump.

The memo, which was sent to the president at the beginning of the week, will be transmitted

back to the committee with a letter stating that it would be declassified, Fox News noted.

This sets the stage for its release early Friday.

The White House only made �technical edits� to the document at the request of the FBI,

even though Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the committee, says Nunes made

material changes to the document since it was first floated.

Schiff, like most Democrats, opposes releasing the document, which allegedly details how

FISA surveillance was used in dubious ways against the Trump campaign.

The Daily Caller reports that the document was passed on to the president on Monday after

a committee vote; rules state that a document in the public interest can be declassified

after five days if there is no presidential objection.

It isn�t just the Democrats that are objecting to the release of the document, however.

The FBI has also issued a warning against its release.

�As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions

of fact that fundamentally impact the memo�s accuracy,� the bureau said in a rare statement

on a document such as this.

Even keeping this in mind, the statement proves why the American people urgently need to see

the memo.

We need to know if the FBI and other agencies have been weaponized in service of political

interests.

If not, then the Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee are going to look profoundly

foolish.

If they have been, however, this could be an enormous scandal on par with anything we�ve

seen in the last half-century, save Watergate.

The country needs to know � and thanks to Trump, we�ll at least know a bit more of

the story � hopefully in just a few short hours.

Fake News Strikes Again!

This time the German public broadcaster ARD has been admitted into the fake news fraternity

by admitting to manipulating the audio during Trump's Davos Speech last week.

ARD released a clip of the speech on their Twitter account for its popular news program

"Tagesschau" where you can clearly hear loud boos after President Trump commented

about how vicious and evil the mainstream media really is, so ARD decided to prove his

point.

The show has was accused of "manipulation" by multiple people who were present during

the speech who have gone on on the record to confirm there weren't many boos at all.

A short time later the program director had no choice but to admit they had boosted the

volume of the audio in order to showcase the booing and make then sound more plentiful.

An editor-in-chief of a German tabloid newspaper, Bild Julian Reichelt, called out those involved

by saying it was hard to imagine that you would have done the same for applause.

So now we see what the real issue is in Germany.

It's Fake News and not having anyone to trust in the media.

They pull the same stunts as our media in the US pull but they really don't have many

outlets, or citizen journalists, to call out the injustice.

This would explain how Merkel has been able to get away with turning the nation of Germany

into a cesspool of Islamic crimes and Sharia Law.

CNN cannot be trusted to tell the news

Well, it seems my wife and I have witnessed an actual representation of Fake News.

We visited Bethlehem and Jerusalem, during our 2017 Christmas vacation, where we walked

and drove around the streets of these two cities.

Bethlehem, which is located in the West Bank in Palestine is the topic of this letter.

While in Bethlehem, we witnessed nothing but happiness and celebration where we viewed

a parade of marching bands for ages ranging from 4-year-old children to young adults.

The Palestinian top brass were in attendance and there was special security which included

police, Israeli soldiers, and special agents dressed in black.

We had a great time speaking with Palestinians while we shopped and walked the streets as

well as having lunch and a Christmas buffet dinner at packed local restaurants in Bethlehem.

Upon returning to our hotel, we turned on the television to CNN to check out the news

around the world.

But what we saw was plain garbage as someone sold a video to CNN depicting protesters fighting

against the police and soldiers.

The video displayed the men in uniforms throwing smoke bombs which were exploding in violent

crowds.

We also saw on CNN people stomping on an American flag that had pictures of our President and

Vice President.

An interview of a restaurant owner was also telecast where the owner stated that her restaurant

was empty due to the violence on the streets of Bethlehem.

Her restaurant was indeed shown as being empty.

We knew then that what is being transpired as "fake news" on CNN does indeed exist

because we were witnesses to this television report.

The following morning, our driver, while driving around Bethlehem asked us if we had seen CNN

the night before.

He showed us the streets where people of all religions and ethnic backgrounds were talking

and smiling with each other.

He asked us, "where is the fighting?"

He also went on to say that he was in the Israel Army for three years and knows what

an Israel soldier uniform looks like.

The uniforms seen on CNN were similar to his country's military uniform but obviously

belonged to another neighboring country, such as possibly Syria.

Our driver did not recognize any of the streets where fighting was supposedly taking place.

The only place he recognized was the restaurant which is owned by non-Christians.

We asked him to take us to the restaurant and he happily obliged.

Yes, the restaurant was empty but it was just after 8 a.m. and the sign of business hours

stated they opened at 10:30 a.m. for lunch and closed at 10 p.m.

The video more than likely took place in the morning where there are no customers present.

We returned late in the afternoon and saw this same restaurant packed with customers.

The video of violence was more than likely taken at an earlier time and in another country.

According to several Christians, whom we spoke with, they believed that non-Christians will

sell old news to CNN and anyone else willing to buy, without actually checking the sources,

just to keep Christians away from the Holy Land during Christmas.

The Palestinian Christians whom we spoke with also stated that there most likely will not

be any more CNN reports of fighting on the streets of Bethlehem or Jerusalem for the

rest of the year until, that is, Christmas is near.

We were able to walk around without any fear whatsoever while in these cities.

The same cities where CNN loves to report them as being full of danger and mayhem.

Don't let CNN keep you from enjoying a visit to the Holy Land during your Christmas vacation.

The United States FISA Court was established in 1978 when Congress enacted the Foreign

Intelligence Surveillance Act in order to put in place a type of checks and balances

system in order to be able to wiretap someone The Court sits in Washington D.C. and is composed

of eleven different federal district court judges who are designated by the Chief Justice

of the United States Supreme Court.

Each judge then serves for a maximum of seven years.

And their terms are staggered to ensure continuity within the Court.

Judges typically sit for one week at a time, on a rotating basis.

Perhaps the most important fact about this court is that it works directly with the FBI,

CIA and the current presidential Administration, whomever that may be.

Now keep in mind that one judge on this court authorized the wiretapping of then Candidate

Donald Trump and many of his associates and family.

The judge did nothing wrong considering they were lied to by top FBI officials as to the

authenticity of the contents of the now infamous "Russian Trump Dossier."

Now what is really interesting about all this is the fact that the FBI can't just go in

and present the FISA court a petition to wiretap an American citizen.

They first have to get authorization from the presidential administration and United

States Attorney General has to sign off on the warrant.

Which means the crooked Obama administration Attorney General Loretta Lynch has to have

signed off on the order to wiretap Candidate Donald Trump, a private citizen.

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch was informed yesterday by the U.S. Department of Justice

(DOJ) that the FBI has located 30 pages of documents related to the June 27, 2016, tarmac

meeting between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton, and

proposes non-exempt material be produced no later than November 30, 2017 (Judicial Watch

v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:16-cv-02046)).

The new documents are being sent to Judicial Watch in response to a Freedom of Information

Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed after the Justice Department failed to comply with a July 7,

2016, FOIA request seeking the following:

All FD-302 forms prepared pursuant to the Federal Bureau of Investigation's investigation

of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of a private e-mail server during her

tenure.

All records of communications between any agent, employee, or representative of the

Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding, concerning, or related to the aforementioned

investigation.

This request includes, but is not limited to, any related communications with any official,

employee, or representative of the Department of Justice, the Executive Office of the President,

the Democratic National Committee, and/or the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton.

All records related to the meeting between Attorney General Lynch and former President

Bill Clinton on June 27, 2016.

The FBI originally informed Judicial Watch they did not locate any records related to

the tarmac meeting.

However, in a related case, the Justice Department located emails in which Justice Department

officials communicated with the FBI and wrote that they had communicated with the FBI.

As a result, by letter dated August 10, 2017, from the FBI stated, "Upon further review,

we subsequently determined potentially responsive documents may exist.

As a result, your [FOIA] request has been reopened…"

(Surprisingly, the Trump Justice Department refuses to disclose the talking points developed

by the Obama Justice Department to help it respond to press inquiries about the controversial

June 27, 2016, tarmac meeting between Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton at Phoenix Sky Harbor

International Airport.)

On June 27, 2016, Attorney General Loretta Lynch met privately with former President

Bill Clinton on board a parked private plane at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix,

Arizona.

The meeting occurred during the then-ongoing investigation of Mrs. Clinton's email server,

and mere hours before the Benghazi report was released publicly involving both Mrs.

Clinton and the Obama administration.

Judicial Watch filed a request on June 30 that the U.S. Department of Justice Office

of the Inspector General investigate that meeting.

"The FBI is out of control.

It is stunning that the FBI 'found' these Clinton-Lynch tarmac records only after we

caught the agency hiding them in another lawsuit," stated Judicial Watch Tom Fitton.

"Judicial Watch will continue to press for answers about the FBI's document games in

court.

In the meantime, the FBI should stop the stonewall and release these new records immediately."

This case has also forced the FBI to release to the public the FBI's Clinton investigative

file, although more than half of the records remain withheld.

The FBI has also told Judicial Watch that it anticipates completing the processing of

these materials by July 2018.

There is significant controversy about whether the FBI and Obama Justice Department investigation

gave Clinton and other witnesses and potential targets preferential treatment.

The Obama administration extended numerous immunity agreements, including: Clinton's

former Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills; John Bentel, former director of the State Department's

Office of Information Resources Management; Heather Samuelson, Clinton's executive assistant;

Brian Pagliano, an IT employee at the State Department who serviced the Clinton non-government

server; and an employee at Platt River Networks, the company that maintained it.

It is not clear whether Hillary Clinton received some type of immunity.

In 2015, a political action committee run by McAuliffe, a close friend and political

supporter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, donated nearly $500,000 to Jill McCabe, wife of McCabe,

who was then running for the Virginia State Senate.

Also, the Virginia Democratic Party, over which McAuliffe had significant influence,

donated an additional $207,788 to the Jill McCabe campaign.

In July 2015, Andrew McCabe was in charge of the FBI's Washington, DC, field office,

which provided personnel resources to the Clinton email probe.

Judicial Watch has several lawsuits about this McCabe/FBI/Clinton scandal.

So on top of Lynch already getting caught up in a very suspect meeting with former President

Bill Clinton on a tarmac at an Arizona airport, she is now confirmed to have been the person

who has to have signed off on the wiretapping of our future president

During remarks made Thursday at the Republican National Committee�s winter meeting in Washington,

D.C., President Donald Trump excoriated Democrats for the way they had behaved during his State

of the Union address two nights earlier.

He was particularly bothered by the way they had responded when he announced that black

and Hispanic unemployment levels have hit record lows.

�African-American and Hispanic unemployment have both reached the lowest levels ever recorded.

That�s something very, very special.

And when I made that statement the other night, there was zero movement from the Democrats,�

he rightly pointed out.

�They sat there stone cold, no smile, no applause,� he continued.

�You would have thought that on that one they would have sort of at least clapped a

little bit.�

Instead, the majority of Democrats remained seated, either staring forward like zombies

or rudely inspecting their phones like distracted children at a dinner table.

�Which tells you perhaps they would rather see us not do well than see our country do

great.

And that�s not good, that�s not good.

We need to change that,� the president added.

Can we �change that,� though?

From many Americans� vantage point, it seems clear that the Democrat Party is now �motivated

more by hatred of Donald Trump than the best interests of the American people,� as noted

by conservative commentator Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire.

Even Dana Milbank, a leftist columnist for The Washington Post, seemed to recognize this,

arguing Wednesday that �the only message the Democratic leaders managed to convey�

during the SOTU address �was that they really do not like Trump, for any number of reasons.�

But my question is this: Do we even want �to change that?�

Writing for RedState, Brandon Morse pointed out that the �utter contempt� displayed

by the Democrats could come back to bite them in the rear come the 2018 midterm elections

and even the 2020 presidential election

The American people �saw Democrats frowning as Trump talked about our rising wages, and

lower taxes,� he wrote.

�They noticed Democrats shaking their heads as Trump talked about getting tough on violent

gangs, and defeating terrorists.

They saw Democrats stone-faced as the minorities that the left said were being kept down were

now getting a better life.�

�Last night Democrats showed their true aims in Washington, and I bet many Americans

noticed.

I can�t wait to see what they noticed at the polls,� he added.

Good point.

While the Democrats� hatred isn�t inherently good for America, the potential repercussions

� more Republicans being elected into office � would be quite advantageous, as they�d

make it even easier for the president to continue on his mission to �Make America Great Again.�

Breaking News From President Trump President Trump said the recently released

memo alleging extreme intelligence abuse during the FBI investigation into the 2016 Trump

campaign "totally vindicates" him.

President Trump has made a few statements about the release of the now-declassified

memo by Republicans in control of the House Intelligence Committee saying that the document

proves the ongoing probe is a "witch hunt."

Trump tweeted Saturday:

This memo totally vindicates "Trump" in probe.

But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on.

There was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year

of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead).

This is an American disgrace!The four-page memo, written by House Intelligence Committee

Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., alleges intelligence abuse by the Department of Justice and the

FBI during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Particularly, it alleges that the two agencies requested a surveillance warrant using a disputed

anti-Trump dossier funded by Democrats, Fox News reports.

The memo said former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe testified to the committee that "no

surveillance warrant would have been sought" from the FISA court "without the Steele

dossier information."

The memo said it was not disclosed that the dossier was authored by an outspoken Trump

critic and former British spy, Christopher Steele.What's going on in this country,

I think it is a disgrace," the president said at the White House after the memo was

released.

"When you look at that, and you see that, and so many other things what's going on,

a lot of people should be ashamed of themselves, and much worse than that."

Nunes told Fox News' Bret Baier on Friday that the release of the memo was out of "an

obligation to the American people."

"I have an obligation to the American people when we see FISA abuse," Nunes said on "Special

Report."

"These are secret courts that exist to target for foreigners, for catching terrorists, for

catching people who might be bad actors and the American citizens that are represented

before this court have to be protected, and the only place that can protect them is the

Mueller isn't investigating Trump, but rather those involved with the egregious abuses of

power outlined in the above memo.

Since everyone who knows Mueller says he only plays by the rules, the second option is the

most likely.

In fact, below is an excerpt from a Politico story in which a former deputy for Ken Starr

stated that Mueller doesn't stray from the rules one bit.

"If we know anything about Mueller, we think we know that he follows the rules—all of

them," Paul Rosenzweig, another former Starr deputy, wrote Tuesday in the Atlantic.

Take from that what you will.

It's been almost two months since Gold Medalist Lindsey Vonn kicked off her Winter Olympic

run with ceremoniously trashing President Donald Trump.

She thought this would earn her a solid fan base of spectators who she hopes would tune

in to watch her compete in downhill skiing, but it backfired on her almost immediately

instead.

She should have learned from the immense demise the National Football League suffered after

promoting a similar anti-American sentiment, but instead, she decided to join them again,

in a new way.

Vonn slipped out of the limelight she created with her hateful remarks about the president

for just long enough to plan something huge – and picked the perfect disrespectful partner

to team up with.

The skier is going downhill, alright, this time with the NFL who will drag this anti-Trump

athlete down with them.

We're just about a week away from the start of the 2018 winter Olympics and now we know

how Vonn plans to represent America.

It's strange how athletes have no problem using Trump to bring attention to themselves

by making such bold public statements, for how much they hate him.

What's even odder, is that they never seem to learn their lesson and can't stop themselves

from slandering him, regardless of the massive ramifications.

Vonn became a victim of that stupidity when she opened her mouth and said, "Well, I

hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president," according to

CNN.

Rather than apologizing for her poor judgment to the president and his overwhelming amount

of patriotic supporters, she took to social media to say more and keep her disturbing

narrative going.

Now, she's adding to that by showing her support of the equally anti-American NFL in

a big way.

She should have just let the dust setting on her bad decisions and disassociated herself

with anything that seems counter to our country's values and our president, but seem intent

on not stopping.

Vonn is going to be featured at the Super Bowl with a typically coveted commercial spot

so she can "share her story."

Entertainment Weekly reports with praise for Vonn and her decision to show her support

and share her side of things at the Super Bowl:

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn's new Super Bowl commercial manages to tell some of her powerful

story, all set to the track, and it's enough to give anyone with a heart for athletic tales

of setbacks and comebacks a few chills.

Vonn famously won gold in the downhill and bronze in the super-G at the Vancouver Winter

Olympics in 2010, but she was injured just before heading to Sochi in 2014 and had to

announce that she would not be able to compete.

Several injuries — including a broken back and torn ligaments — and so much resilience

later, she's ready to compete in her second Olympics.

And, well, the "girl is on fire."

The 60-second "Best of U.S." athlete film — the third of five (see Mikaela Shiffrin's

here and Nathan Chen's here) — is set to air on Super Bowl Sunday, but EW is debuting

it online here.

The good news is, there probably won't be as many people watching her Super Bowl commercial

spot as she hopes, for the same reason her (former) fans won't be watching her compete

in the Olympics.

Americans are sick of athletes and other celebrities using their platforms to spread a divisive

message about our president to, ironically, make a point that he's divisive.

Vonn should have realized that after the unprecedented ratings slide the NFL suffered, proving that

Americans love Trump and our country more than they like spectator sports.

Vonn's career is following in the same downward direction as the football athletes who she's

now supporting.

Like many racist NFL kneelers who also hate Trump, the people who pay the skier to complete

are canceling their support of her.

Sponsors are important and it's apparently a price these athletes are willing to pay

to trash Trump and disrespect America any chance they get.

Just like sponsors in the NFL fled in droves after major profit losses caused by protesting

players, this Olympian is starting to feel the pain of making divisive statements where

they don't belong.

After doubling down on her tasteless remark by adding, "I want to represent our country

well," Vonn explained.

"I don't think that there are a lot of people currently in our government that do

that," one of her biggest sponsors realized what a liability to their business she is.

Fans began to boycott the support of her and her sponsors who pay her a lot of money to

represent their brands as a good American.

She proved to be a poor sport, which didn't go over well.

48 hours after making her remarks, she suffered some rather unfortunate – and painful – karma

when she was injured on the slopes after finishing the World Cup Super G race in St Moritz.

The Olympics is a time and a place where Americans come together and root for the same team.

That should have been the message that Vonn shared going into the games, instead of a

divisive one.

It's proof that despite their claim of Trump being the divider, they are truly the ones

preventing opposing sides from mending as they perpetuate

the hate.

Not only was President Donald Trump�s State of the Union address widely lauded, but it

was viewed by a record number of viewers as well.

According to Nielsen ratings, Trump�s speech earlier this week was the most watched State

of the Union address in seven years.

Roughly 45.6 million viewers tuned in to watch the Republican deliver his first SOTU speech

as president on Tuesday night, surpassing the last six addresses to Congress given by

former President Barack Obama

Twelve networks aired live coverage of the speech from around 9:00 p.m. ET to 10:30 p.m.

ET, with other media outlets also covering the speech to varying degrees.

Other ratings indicators reveal the speech received considerable attention from the U.S.

public.

Trump�s speech was the top social program for that day, garnering 21 million total interactions

across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Forty-one percent of the 21 million interactions occurred on Facebook alone.

Another 52 percent took place on Twitter and 7 percent on Instagram.

Sixty-eight thousand Twitter interactions occurred at 10:04 p.m ET, right after Trump

revealed his four-pillar plan on immigration � making it the highest social moment on

the social media platform.

Top Twitter hashtags during the speech were: #stateoftheunion, #sotu, #maga and #stateofourunion.

Trump�s draw of 45.6 million viewers Tuesday night smashed then-President Obama�s final

SOTU address in 2016, which only garnered a little over 31 million viewers.

The numbers may indicate that Americans are interested in a U.S. president�s very first

SOTU speech.

In February 2009, when Obama gave his debut address to the Joint Sessions of Congress,

52,373,000 viewers tuned in.

However, the 44th President saw his numbers decline almost every year afterward.

The excellent numbers for Trump come as his speech has been hailed by Republicans and

independents alike.

According to a CBS News poll, 75 percent of respondents said they approve of Trump�s

address, and only 25 percent said they disapprove.

An overwhelming majority of Americans who tuned in felt that Trump was trying to unite

the country, not divide it.

Two-thirds of respondents said the speech made them feel proud and one-third said they

felt safer.

Not only did respondents enjoy the speech, but most Americans gave approval for many

of the policies the president addressed, stating their support for Trump�s proposals on national

security, infrastructure and immigration.

Trump�s address boosted the credit given to him for the U.S. economy.

Before the speech, 51 percent of Americans gave him thanks for the growing economy.

Immediately following the speech, that number rose to 54 percent.

�Even in foreign policy and national security, this speech a perfect blend of strength and

empathy.

These heroic stories break our hearts, but sturdy our resolve,� said Republican pollster

Frank Luntz.

�This is the Trump his voters wanted him to be.�
