Trump Just Turned And Said One Thing To Harvey Relief Effort Organizers That Will Fill Every

American With Pride

Hurricane Harvey has been a horrible reminder of the power of nature to cause devastation,

but if there is a silver lining it has also served been a reminder of the power of Americans

to work together to help each other.

President Trump said exactly this when he invited representatives from the Red Cross,

Salvation Army, and Southern Baptist Disaster Relief organizations to thank them for their

tireless efforts to help those in need.

President Trump applauded the efforts and quick response of these three organizations

to install relief efforts to those in Houston and the surrounding area as well as the work

of Vice President Mike Pence to visit the people of Houston.

Here's what Trump had to say:

"THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE IN WHAT THEY'VE DONE.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THEM AND THEIR STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS FOR THE INCREDIBLE WORK THEY'RE

DOING AND IN HELPING PEOPLE AFFECTED BY HURRICANE HARVEY."

President Trump then asked First Lady Melania to speak and she again thanked the efforts

of volunteers and Americans helping each other through this horrible natural disaster.

Watch President Trump's full statement here:

Then the representatives from the relief groups followed up thanking the other groups for

their collaboration and combined efforts to help as many people in need.

The Salvation Army has already served hundreds of thousands of meals and plans to serve millions

to those in need.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR PRESIDENT!

This is the power of America when we put aside our differences

to help

each other.

Hassan Nasrallah : en Corée du Nord, Trump va vers une guerre nucléaire mondiale - Duration: 5:40.

We need to know, O my (dear) brothers and sisters, that the opposing project (US-Israel) in the region is crumbling and falling apart,

and that US and Israeli dreams that were built on Daesh and its sisters and fellow

takfiri and terrorist groups, these dreams and hopes collapse,

and that the Axis of Resistance is the one who inflicted a defeat on this project,

with the help of Russia, to be quite frank and honest.

And as with any victory, there is a price (to pay).

If you lose, the price (to pay) is clear.

But even when you win, there is a price to pay (but way less than when you lose).

It is natural that the victorious Lebanon will be subjected to pressures.

And the same for the Resistance, which certainly is suject and will be subject to (even more) pressures.

Today, a huge (propaganda) machine works (day and night) to present Hezbollah as a threat,

a destructive group, a problem (you), the Lebanese, the Lebanese people must try to resolve.

Tomorrow, they will create you a (new artificial) problem now that we are done with Daesh and Al Nosra.

Someone cynical might say: so that your turn does not come, you should let Daesh and Al-Daech Nosra (stay in Lebanon); why are you in a hurry (to finish them and become thus again the main target of USA)?

If one wants to think cynically.

But if we think about the national interest, people's safety, our loved ones', their happiness and their tranquility, we think differently.

So the Americans will return once again and say for the benefit of Israel: "O government, State, parties and people of Lebanon,

you have a (major) problem called Hezbollah. How are you going to you solve it?

Hezbollah's power increases (by the day), the accumulation (of weapons)... " It is you who are talking about the increase of our power.

"His power grows, he can do well and prepare, etc.

This is a (big) problem. We must solve it. "

But they want to resolve it in the interest of whom? In the interest of Israel. Certainly not in the interest of Lebanon.

Hezbollah does not represent a danger, neither for Lebanon nor the Lebanese people, nor the Lebanese State.

Certainly, Hezbollah is a danger to the Israeli occupation, Israel's appetites, and American hegemony and the takfiri project.

So we will be under pressure.

And we will be presented as the danger, when in truth it is indeed the United States that constitute the danger today.

It is this administration, the Trump administration that is the danger.

Who is it who is currently bringing the world to the brink of a global nuclear war with North Korea?

Today (the fate) of the world is suspended between two people, regardless of what one thinks of the one and the other: Trump and Kim-Jong-Un.

The fate of the world lies in the hands of these people.

God knows what they will do.

How will they act, where will they lead the world, God only knows.

This is the real danger.

Today, the Trump administration led the relations with Russia at the worst level, and relations with China at the worst level,

it is on the brink of war with China, as a result of tensions in the South China Sea.

The continuous threats of war against Venezuela, the relaunch of the war in Afghanistan,

threats to cancel the nuclear agreement with Iran, rekindling the inter-Arab disagreements...

Are there someone (gullible enough) to believe that the crisis between the Gulf States, Saudi Arabia, the UAE (and Bahrain also) on one hand, and Qatar on the other hand,

the United States are not able to resolve it? By God, they can set it in an hour, half an hour, a wink

from Trump or his entourage, and the crisis would be resolved.

No ! The United States wants these struggles, these wars, etc. They are the ones who represent the danger. This administration, this mentality that wants to reinstate the hegemony and monopolize the oil, money and gas, and to protect Israel,

(who is now) worried and scared. It is they who are a danger, not Hezbollah.

Today, the continuation of the war against Yemen, and the intensification of the assault, especially in recent weeks,

the horrible massacres committed by the Saudi aviation against unarmed Yemeni civilians,

and we can only condemn it. This war is an American war par excellence.

If the United States wanted this war to stop, it would stop in half an hour. This is not an issue for them.

Those who represent a threat to the region today are the United States.

Even Pakistan, a US historic ally, this administration has lobbied hard on them, insulted their army,

insulted their people and insulted their State, and that's why they demonstrated by the millions in the last few days to demonstrate against US policy,

American bullying and insults against Pakistan and the Pakistan Army.

Who is giving free rein to Israel in the region, if not the US?

And more dangerous, we may be faced with the formulation of a new American policy to impose a new model

after the end of Daesh, a new model of terrorism, under new titles, new names and new slogans.

We must face these pressures, whatever they are and wherever they come from.

How to cope as Lebanese? It is through perseverance, convergence and unity that we will overcome this stage.

Moon, Trump agree to build up missile deterrence amid N. Korea threat - Duration: 1:35.

We start with talks between the leaders of South Korea and the United States...

Speaking for the first time since North Korea raised the stakes by lobbing a missile over

Japan,...

Presidents Moon Jae-in and Donald Trump agreed to enhance their joint missile capabilities

to better deal with Pyongyang's increasing threats.

They also agreed to slap the strongest possible sanctions on the regime to bring them back

to dialogue.

Our Kim Hyun-bin has this report.

South Korea's presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae revealed on Saturday that President

Moon Jae-in and his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump held telephone talks on Friday,... three

days after Pyongyang launched an intermediate ballistic missile over Japan.

The two leaders pledged to continue applying strong diplomatic and economic pressure on

the regime and take necessary preparations to deter and defend against North Korea's

growing threats.

They also reaffirmed their view to peacefully resolve North Korea's nuclear issue and apply

maximum sanctions on the regime to bring them back to the dialogue table.

President Moon denounced North Korea's recent missile launch over Japan.

He called it a serious provocation that violated UN Security Council resolutions,... adding

that it raised military tensions in the region.

President Trump put emphasis on sending a strong and clear message to the regime.

The two leaders also agreed to revise South Korea's missile guidelines to better counter

North Korea's missile threats.

South Korea wants to increase its missile payload to one ton from the current 500 kilograms

to better counter North Korea's missile capabilities.

Trump Is Pressuring Intelligence Officials To Find A Reason To Start A War With Iran - Duration: 4:13.

According to reports, U.S. intelligence officials are being pressured by the Trump Administration

to find some kind of evidence showing that Iran is in violation of the 2015 nuclear agreement

that the country signed with five other countries, including the United States. The reports show

that Trump desperately wants these intelligence officials to find somewhere, some instance

in the last two years, where Iran has not lived up to the terms set forward in this

particular agreement.

Here's the problem with that: There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever to show that Iran in

any way has violated this agreement. That's coming from European countries, that's coming

from every available U.S. intelligence agency, that's coming from the military, and that's

also coming from Iran itself, as well as the United Nations.

Nobody has found any instance where Iran has been less than fully compliant to the best

of their abilities. But that hasn't stopped Donald Trump, according to a new report in

The Guardian, from forcing his intelligence officials to waste their time to give him

some kind of excuse to launch a new war in the Middle East because, at the end of the

day, that is what this is about.

The Republican Party has long told us that Iran is one of the worst operators over there

in the Middle East. Ronald Reagan did it in the '80s, George H. W. Bush hinted at it in

the early '90s, W. hinted at it in the early 2000s, John McCain absolutely wanted to go

to war with Iran in 2008 while he was running for president, and Donald Trump is doing it

today.

He's using the same tactics that George W. Bush used to push us into the Iraq war. During

that run-up to Iraq, intelligence was manipulated to show somehow that Saddam Hussein was producing

weapons of mass destruction, which we now know was completely false. To this day, not

a single weapon of mass destruction has ever been found in Iraq, there was no evidence

that they were attempting to make these weapons, or that they were even close to being able

to produce these weapons, and Donald Trump is trying to push the United States in that

same direction today.

The only hope here, and The Guardian points this out very well, is that intelligence agencies,

other countries around the world, learned from those mistakes in Iraq because, even

at the time, there were some countries who believed us, who fell for it, who also had

intelligence showing that Iraq was building WMD's. So there was this non-consensus, I

guess, among the intelligence communities around the world about what Iraq was actually

doing. Ultimately, they decided to go to war and prove to everybody in this country and

around the globe that there were no WMD's.

This time, they know better. They have their own evidence that shows that Iran is not doing

anything to violate that nuclear agreement at the moment. Does that mean it's always

going to be that way? Absolutely not. We don't know how far we can trust them. We don't know

if they're going to continue complying with this if a new leader steps forward and says,

"I'm not going to agree with it." Then we will have to deal with that situation.

As it stands right now, Donald Trump has absolutely no grounds to be trying to find any evidence

of Iran doing something wrong. What we do know is that the media loves it every time

Donald Trump bombs somebody, his approval rating jumps back up, so that could be a very

good indicator as to why Trump is so desperate to find any excuse whatsoever to go lob a

couple of bombs over to Iran.

Trump Just Walked Up To Tourists In White House, Grabs Baby, And Does Something TEAR JERKING - Duration: 12:49.

Trump Just Walked Up To Tourists In White House, Grabs Baby, And Does Something TEAR

JERKING

President Trump surprised visitors to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on Thursday.

He walked into a room flanked by Secret Service members and made a beeline to a mother that

handed him over.

The crowd chanted, "We love you!"

What Trump said next is wild.

The president smiled when he heard the chants that said "God bless you, Mr. President!"

He kissed the baby and then said "Enjoy the White House, everybody."

The video was posted by Welsh tourist Sacha Davies and was posted with the following caption:

"Hey Guys I met @realdonaldtrump."

Trump is often seen kissing babies.

He is no stranger to fatherhood.

This is why we love him.

He is an amazing President that is fighting every single for our country to be better.

We cannot let him fight alone.

Please share this if you are proud to have President Trump and don't believe for a

second all the lies that the media tells about him.

God

bless

our President.

Obama Is FINISHED! Donald Trump Caught Him With Dirty Hands Yesterday - Duration: 19:56.

Obama Is FINISHED!

Donald Trump Caught Him With Dirty Hands Yesterday

Yesterday Donald Trump's newest travel ban was blocked by a Democrat judge from Hawaii.

And we found out who is really behind the judge's decision.

According to News 2, Obama played golf this Tuesday then he went to eat lunch at Noi Thai

Restaurant on the other side of the island.

Obama was with his "friends" at the time, in a private room.

But the real deal is this information: Judge Derrick Watson, Obama's Harvard classmate

and the Judge who blocked Trump's order, lives just 5 minutes from that restaurant!

We still can't confirm if Obama is standing behind the judge decision to block Trump's

order, but that is very likely!

Looks like Obama met with Judge Watson and made him to that!

Derrick Watson is known to be an Obama appointee and both graduated together at Harvard.

This is the only logical explanation: Obama is driving for forty minutes getting out of

his way to go to a restaurant that by some coincidence happened to be placed next to

his former Harvard Classmate, who by some coincidence happens to block President Donald

Trump's newest Executive Order the very next day.

This is very suspicious.

Looks like Barack Obama still wants to meddle in Trump's business and drag him down!

This has to stop!

What do you think

of this?

Share your opinion!

Anti-Trump Republicans Believe The Same Things As Trump – Don't Be Fooled - Duration: 4:20.

There was a very interesting article recently on Huffington Post that said, "We shouldn't

be praising these Republicans who are coming out against Donald Trump, or positioning themselves

as the anti-Trump during campaign or whatever it is they're actually trying to do."

And I agree with that, absolutely 100%, but that particular article did not go far enough

to explain why we shouldn't treat these saints or excuse me, these sinners as if they're

saints.

Here is why.

There may be a few exceptions to this, but for the most part, there are no Republicans

in Washington DC or no Republicans serving in state legislators or as state governors,

who do not believe 99% of the same things that Donald Trump believes.

I don't care what the media tells you.

I don't care that the media's lyinizing these people.

Republicans believe in the same things as Donald Trump.

Tax cuts for the wealthy, cutting entitlement programs, like Social Security, cutting programs

to help pay teachers and fire departments, and police officers, after school programs.

Cutting back on Medicaid, Medicare, Food Stamps, unemployment insurance.

Giving tax cut to the wealthy, denying that climate change exists, or admitting it exists

but then choosing to do nothing.

Those are hallmarks of the Republican Party.

Donald Trump did not invent those.

He didn't come up with any of those ideas.

He doesn't even have any idea on how to make them even more harmful for the American public.

Those are Republican Party, Republican official ideas.

That's where they came from.

So when you see a story about John McCain, what a hero coming out not voting to strip

22 million of their health insurance, right?

No, because McCain has been right there with the entire Republican Party, pushing for tax

cuts on the wealthy, which would constantly push us into a recession, fighting to take

away the benefits of struggling families.

Fighting to send us into more wars, so more of our children, our grandchildren, or our

parents can go and die overseas in a needless war.

John McCain is not a hero in politics, and it's time stop treating him as such.

The same with John Kasich, the man who disenfranchised thousands of Ohio voters in presidential elections,

to help swing the elections.

Yeah, that guy who went after those racist policies to keep black people away from the

voting booth.

That's a not a Republican hero because he stands up to Donald Trump.

These people are standing up to Trump, because they see the damage he does to their party,

not because they disagree with his policies but because they don't want him to tank their

party for good, or they see this as an opportunity for them to emerge as a leader and take over.

They are not heroes.

They do not stand against anything Donald Trump stands for.

They want the same things.

Donald Trump wasn't even the first Republican to bring up a border wall in the 2016 election.

That's been a Republican talking point for decades, folks.

So don't think that Donald Trump is sitting in that oval office coming up with these ideas

on his own.

He's not smart enough to do that.

These are long standing Republican goals that have been around a lot longer than you or

I have, and they're gonna be around a lot longer than any of you or I will be.

These Republicans out there who are fighting against Donald Trump, allegedly, they believe

in the same things, except they're just wrapped up in a not so overtly racist package.

That's the only difference between people like John Kasich and people like Donald Trump.

They are not heroes.

Let's stop treating them as such.

Trump Is Sabotaging Obamacare So He Can Blame Obama For Its Failure - Duration: 3:35.

After the Republicans in the Senate failed to pass any form of health care reform, basically

to repeal Obamacare, Donald Trump said, "You know what?

Fine.

I'm just going to let Obamacare fail on its own."

Because as Republicans kept telling us, the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare, was absolutely

failing.

It was in a death spiral is what Paul Ryan and a lot of Republicans like to tell us,

so they were just going to sit back and let that happen and do nothing to fix it.

Well, as it turns out, every available report that's looked into it said Obamacare was actually

flourishing.

It was nowhere near being in a death spiral because it was actually getting better.

More people were signing up for it.

Obamacare was growing.

And, because Trump can't have anything that President Obama did actually succeed, he's

now decided he is actively going to sabotage the Affordable Care Act and, by extension,

sabotage the lives and health of American citizens.

Here is what Donald Trump has proposed to do.

He is going to slash the advertising budget for the Affordable Care Act down to about

10% of what it was during the time of open enrollment.

What this means is that people will not be able to get the information they need through

TV commercials, through billboards, through radio ads, or whatever.

It's not going to be there because there's no budget left for it.

They're not going to know that it's time for open enrollment.

A lot of people don't necessarily pay attention to that every year and check the website every

day to get those dates.

Trump is trying to take away their ability to sign up so he can go back later and say,

"Look how many people decided not to sign up for Obamacare because it's a failure."

He's not going to take any of the blame for it.

He's going to put it all on Obama, even though Trump is the single person who is making this

happen.

Furthermore, they're going to cut back on the funding for staff that help people navigate

the waters of Obamacare, that help them get signed up and pick their plans.

Basically, cut the staff down to absolutely nothing, so there aren't enough people to

help consumers pick out the plan that they need or that best fits their budget and their

family.

So, instead, people may end up buying a policy that over covers or under covers them, that

costs too much, or that costs so little but, again, doesn't cover anything.

Therefore, they would consider the system to be a failure.

The bottom line is this.

Obamacare has not failed.

Obamacare is not perfect.

There is a hell of a lot of room to improve, but the only reason it could fail at this

point is if Donald Trump and the Republican sabotage it, which is exactly what they've

said they're going to do.

This is disgusting behavior from the President of the United States and something that we

as an American public should not tolerate.

Unfortunately, we have little recourse until the 2018 midterm elections.

But when those elections roll around I want everyone to remember which party was fighting

to give you universal health care coverage, and which party was fighting to give health

care coverage to only the wealthy who could afford it and, at the same time, give the

wealthy a tax break.

After Discovering Gov. Workers Would Get A 26% Pay Raise, Trump Does The Unthinkable… | Top Stories - Duration: 2:37.

President Donald Trump wasn't about to let taxpayers fund a massive 26% pay raise for

government employees.

In a newly-announced plan, the commander in chief dropped that whopper of a raise all

the way down to a manageable 1.9 percent pay increase, continuing to give relief to taxpayer

dollars.

Trump told Congress of this new plan in a letter, saying that that he reducing the increase

drastically because "the adjustments that would otherwise take effect are inappropriate."

TDC reports:

Under the current law, the the pay schedule that governs federal employee salaries would

raise pay in 2018 by an average of 26 percent and cost taxpayers $26 billion, according

to the White House.

"A pay increase of this magnitude is not warranted, and federal agency budgets could

not accommodate such an increase while still maintaining support for key federal priorities

such as those that advance the safety and security of the American people," Trump

wrote of the current plan.

The law Trump references that mandates pay increases is the 1990 Federal Employees Pay

Comparability Act.

Previous presidents have routinely overridden the law, but Trump's statements are stronger

than the language that former President Barack Obama used.

"We must maintain efforts to put our Nation on a sustainable fiscal course," Trump wrote.

Federal employee unions and advocacy groups opposed Trump's plan, and would favor a

larger increase.

"While federal employees will appreciate the raise, an average increase of 1.9 percent

is the minimum required to prevent federal pay from declining further, and more rapidly,

below market than the current 35 percent wage disparity between public- and private-sector

wages," said Richard Thissen, president of the National Active and Retired Federal

Employees Association.

Tony Reardon, president of the National Treasury Employees Union, which supports a 3.2 percent

federal wage increase, believes the increase is not good enough.

"NTEU believes this figure is too low especially in light of the fact that federal law calls

for a 1.9 percent across-the-board raise and private sector wages are growing at an even

faster rate," Reardon said in a statement.

"Add to that, current proposals attacking the federal retirement system would result

in a pay cut for federal workers."

Time For Republicans To Admit That Trump Is A Pathetic Loser - Duration: 4:32.

If you've ever been in an argument with an avid Donald Trump supporter you will very

quickly find out that these people have no idea what they're talking about when they

defend the president.

Usually they'll revert to some kind of tactic of "Oh, Liberals are stupid.

You snowflake, go find your safe place."

That's about all they can do.

They'll say that oh, you're being funded by George Soros, because that's also another

common Republican talking point.

But here's the thing, this is what Republicans all around this country have to be willing

to admit at this point; you, Republican voters out there, voters for a very pathetic loser

to be our president of the United States.

There is no other way to say that at this point.

Donald Trump is pathetic.

He is whiny, and he's a looser.

Yeah, he won the electoral vote, whatever.

You can win things and still be a loser though, and that's what Donald Trump is.

His response to Hurricane Harvey is the latest example of what a horrible human being Donald

Trump truly is.

All of his policies that he's gone along with and wanting Republicans to push about taking

away money from afterschool programs to give in a tax cut to the rich, that's pathetic

and that's disgusting, and that's what you voted for.

In the last seven-and-a half months Donald Trump has killed more civilians in the Middle

East than Barack Obama did in eight years.

That's from the latest reports coming out of what's going on in those wars that a lot

of us forget even are going on right now, that Donald Trump is in charge of.

Donald Trump is having our military overseas kill civilians; again, disgusting.

But Trump voters don't seem to understand that, and yes, I understand Donald Trump is

losing support amongst some Republicans.

But there are plenty of hard core people out there who refuse to accept the truth.

I've seen a lot of Republicans come out and say, "I do not support him anymore.

This man is horrible.

I was duped.

I was lied to.

I fell for it.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry I said to give Donald Trump a chance once he was elected.

I regret that."

That's from both Democrats and Republicans at this point.

But those people who refuse to step up and admit that Donald Trump is possibly the worst

possible human being alive in the United States that we could've elected to be our president,

those are the people that have to understand that they were pawns, and they still are.

Do you think the Republican party actually cares about you?

Well, if you're not donating millions of dollars to super packs or their campaigns, they don't.

They don't care if you drink poisoned water because they let corporations dump all their

toxic chemicals into it.

They don't care that you can't breathe clean air because we're letting corporations spew

as much CO2 in the atmosphere as possible.

They don't care that you don't have clean water, because we're not going to put in new

pipes.

We're going to let you drink out of contaminated deteriorating lead pipes.

They don't care that your children are failing school because they can't afford glasses.

They don't care that you can't go to the doctor because you can't afford health insurance.

They don't care, and the sooner you wake up and admit that you voted for a loser the sooner

we as a country can pick up the pieces and move on and try to fix things.

But as long as we have these Trump holdovers, those people who refuse to accept reality,

we are constantly, be it either by the president of the United States or members of the House

of Representatives or the senate, we're going to be living with a faction of this country

trying to hold us back, hold us down, and take us backwards.

Because that is exactly what these people who refuse to admit that Donald Trump is a

horrible president are doing to this country.

And it's what they're going to continue doing to this country until they finally open their

eyes and admit that they were wrong.

President Trump Receives an Update from Disaster Relief Organizations - Duration: 12:29.

The President: Thank you very much.

The First Lady and I are pleased to welcome Gail

McGovern of the American Red Cross, David Hudson of

the Salvation Army, and Kevin Ezell of Southern

Baptist Disaster Relief.

These people have been absolutely incredible

at what they've done.

I would like to thank them, and their staff

and volunteers for the incredible work they're

doing and in helping people affected by

Hurricane Harvey.

Sounds like a very innocent name but it's not

an innocent hurricane, that I can tell you.

It's of epic proportion.

These organizations and the many other non-profits

involved represent the generosity, determination,

and unbreakable spirit of the American people.

And Mike Pence was there yesterday and represented

his country so well, in the love and the care, and

I had so many just great comments about your visit,

so I appreciate it.

The Vice President: Thank you Mr. President.

The President: When a disaster strikes, they

work to help others in the time of need, which

was over the last week, believe me.

They've already provided tens of thousands of

displaced Gulf Coast residents with meals,

water, shelter, fresh blankets,

and clean clothing.

When one American suffers -- and I say this quite a

bit, especially lately, when you see what's going

on -- we all suffer.

We're one American family brought together in

times of tragedy by the unbreakable bonds of

love and loyalty that we have for one another.

And there is a great love and a great loyalty in

this country, and I think we've all seen

it, maybe more so than ever before over the last four days.

So I think we really have seen it.

Nowhere is our unity more evident than in the

actions of our volunteer and charitable

organizations that rally to their neighbors' aid

when disaster strikes.

The people of Texas and Louisiana were hit very

hard by a historic flood.

In their response, they have taught us all a lesson

-- a very, very powerful lesson:

There was no outbreak in crime.

There was an outbreak of compassion only --

real beautiful, strong compassion.

And they've really inspired us as a nation.

To be honest, they've inspired the world,

because the world is watching.

We're pleased to receive an update from Gail,

David, and Kevin on the work of the Red Cross,

Salvation Army, and the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.

The federal government is on the ground

bringing in significant resources to bear.

And I want to assure these organizations and the

others involved that we will continue to

coordinate with them and bring all of the relief

and the comfort and everything else that we

absolutely can to the Gulf Coast.

And I want to also thank the Governor and

Lieutenant Governor of Texas.

They have been outstanding.

Just the coordination and the level of relationship

has been, I think, pretty much unprecedented.

So I just want to thank them.

I want to thank all of the folks working on the

ground for the administration.

Tom Bossert is here today.

Tom, thank you very much, we appreciate it.

Every American heart is with the people of

Texas and Louisiana.

They're strong and resilient, and they

have really overcome.

And we're in the process of just about, where I can

I say, overcome this horrible devastation.

Now it's going back to work, but the Coast Guard

in particular, I have to also thank.

They saved probably thousands of lives --

we were just talking about it -- going onto seas that

very few people would want to be on in the worst of

times, when they were saving a lot of

people out there.

Together, we will help them all recover

from this tragedy.

We'll renew our hope and community, and we'll renew

our hope and rebuild those homes, and businesses, and

schools, and places of worship where the strength

and vigor that comes from the love within our souls.

And I just authorized and signed a proclamation

for prayer.

And we're going to have, on Sunday, a prayer Sunday.

And, Mike, that was something that was very

special, just took place.

So I think it's going to be something to

see and to witness.

It's been a long time.

And our country deserves it right now.

I want to thank my wife, Melania, the First Lady.

She's been so involved in this and helping so much.

And so I want to thank you.

Would you like to say a few words to start off?

Mrs. Trump: It's great to be here with amazing

people, and I want to thank all the volunteers

all across the country dedicated to help to Texas

-- and fantastic job.

And we're going tomorrow to visit them, and I just

want to tell them to be strong and everything

will be okay.

The President: See, I didn't tell her I was

going to do that, Stewart.

And she did a great job.

(Laughter.)

But she really has; she's been so dedicated to this.

This has very much affected her, what's

happened in Texas and neighboring states, frankly.

So I want thank you, First Lady.

Thank you.

Salvation Army.

Commissioner Hudson: Yes, well, we're first of all

very appreciative of this opportunity, appreciative

of our partners in service.

We are working hand-in-hand with groups

like the Red Cross, where they provide shelter for

people, and we're able to provide meals.

And even though we're limited in being able to

get in to a lot of the impacted areas,

we've already served hundreds of thousands of meals,

and literally millions of meals will be served.

And we can only do this as we partner together.

And as I've told my coworkers, this is a time

that we're all Texans.

And no matter where you're from, we're all about

serving Americans in need.

And I'd like to thank you, Mr. President,

the Red Cross, and the Baptists and all the other agencies

that partner with us.

Together we can make a difference.

The President: Thank you very much.

That's very nice.

Southern Baptists.

Mr. Ezell: We're three different organizations,

but we work best as one.

And the joy of this is we really do lock arms and

have the capacity to feed over 400,000 people a day.

And, Mr. President, thank you for FEMA.

They've been incredible through this.

We've gone through many disasters, and they've

done just a fantastic job stepping to the plate and

being prepared and allowing us to volunteer

(inaudible).

The President: Well, I think we should thank

Brock Long and all of the people at FEMA, and the

people at Homeland and, I have to say General Kelly,

who has been so much involved.

As you know he just left, and he's now in the White House.

But his spirit and anything else that's been

involved over the last few weeks getting ready.

Because, really, this has been probably now almost

two weeks since we felt that it was probably going

to hit that area.

But General Kelly has done a fantastic job.

And Elaine Duke has been terrific.

So I want to thank all of our folks.

Red Cross, how are we doing?

Ms. McGovern: Sir, first of all, our hearts go out

the people of Texas, and on behalf of the entire

American Red Cross, so many people have lost

everything and presented in our shelters with just

the clothes on their back.

I visited one of the shelters outside of Austin,

and it housed about 200 people.

And I had the opportunity to call to all the

families -- everyone from a six-month-old baby to a

6'8" man -- and everybody in between.

And you heard stories of heartbreak and heartache.

But the one thing that I hadn't seen in the nine

years that I've been with the American Red Cross is

the incredible resiliency of the American people.

They are bound and determined to build back,

and there are about 40,000 people in our shelters

right now across the state of Texas.

And our volunteers are pouring in, giving

them comfort, hope.

We served about 390,000 meals and snacks.

And the incredible thing is our partners are there.

They are getting the hot meals into our hands so

that we can serve them.

Government has just been phenomenal.

And when we had a hard time getting our

volunteers in, the city gave us dump trucks so we

could get volunteers and cots in.

The Department of Defense gave us high-water

vehicles -- 20 of them -- so we could break in and

bring needed supplies.

So I'm just so appreciative of the

teamwork.

I'm appreciative of your support.

And again, our hearts go out to the people of Texas.

The President: Thank you very much.

Very nice.

390,000 --

Ms. McGovern: Meals and snacks.

The President: And that's up until now.

Just up to -- as of last night.

The President: You'll be doubling that.

That's a tremendous job.

Ms. McGovern: I'm quite sure we will.

The President: Tremendous job.

Mike, would you like to say something?

The Vice President: Just, Mr. President, having -- I

just returned from southeast Texas yesterday.

We heard the resilience, the character, and the

faith of the people of east Texas.

We heard their gratitude to you and the First Lady

for the administration's support, for your

compassion, your admiration for our first

responders from FEMA, down to local leadership.

But I also heard, Mr. President, about their

gratitude for volunteer organizations that have

literally been there from the very outset of this storm.

And I want to thank you and the First Lady for

taking the opportunity to call attention to the

Salvation Army and the Red Cross and Southern Baptist

Disaster Relief.

Anyone looking on should know that while the

federal government is going to be there at your

direction, we'll be seeking resources from the

Congress to make sure that disaster relief is

available for individuals and businesses.

Literally, the work of meeting people's human

needs each and every day will take all of us, and

these volunteer organizations need

resources and they need people.

And I would just add, Mr. President, that anyone

looking on can go to NVOAD.org -- it's our

website where all these organizations are listed.

People can find out how they can be supportive of

national volunteer organizations that at this

very hour, and for weeks and months ahead, will be

coming alongside families as they rebuild their lives.

The President: That's good.

Thank you, Mike.

Thank you very much.

This is just some of the locations that over a very

short period of time, they and others have managed to

go to some of these locations, as you

know very well.

Some of the press has been there, and I will say

they are devastated.

Two days ago there was water like nobody

has ever seen before.

I guess in the history of our country we've never

had an amount of water like we've had.

And yet you were able to occupy all of these

different locations and take care of people --

you and the others.

So we want to just thank you.

That's really a special, special job.

Thank you all very much.

Appreciate it.

The Press: Do you think DACA is illegal?

Do you think DACA is illegal?

(Inaudible) later today, possibly?

The President: We'll be releasing on DACA sometime

over the weekend, probably Sunday, Saturday.

Latest will be Monday.

Great feeling for DACA.

The Press: Do you think it's illegal?

DACA is illegal -- is that your sense?

The Press: Sir, will you be making the spending

request today?

The President: Oh, we'll be making a request.

Absolutely.

For the state of Texas, yes -- and Louisiana.

And tomorrow I'm going to Louisiana with the First

Lady, and Texas.

So it will be Texas, Louisiana.

Thank you, everybody.
