Congress and President Donald Trump have yet to work out a plan to address the end of the

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

But Trump insisted Friday morning that chain migration cannot be part of the deal.

Chain migration is a legal immigration process in the U.S. that lets immigrants sponsor other

family members so they can also live in the U.S.

It works like this: Person A immigrates to the U.S. legally.

When that person becomes a permanent resident, he or she can sponsor a spouse and any unmarried

children.

If person A becomes a U.S. citizen, he or she can sponsor additional family members,

including married children, parents and siblings.

So what does this have to do with DACA?

DACA recipients are protected from deportation, but they don't currently have a path to permanent

residency.

The DREAM Act, which is sponsored mainly by Democrats, would give DACA recipients a path

to permanent legal status in the U.S.

If they become permanent residents, they could hypothetically start sponsoring family members.

Trump wants Congress to come up with a bill to protect DACA recipients.

But his tweet could imply he doesn't want them to be able to sponsor family members.

House Speaker Paul Ryan hasn't said if he'll bring the DREAM Act up for a vote, and there

aren't many any other bills on the table to protect immigrants.

Lawyers For Trump's Aides Warn "Don't Lie To Protect Trump" - Duration: 3:53.

The investigation into possible Russian collusion with the Trump campaign/Trump administration

is picking up a lot of steam.

In the last week, aides and former staffers for Donald Trump have started hiring lawyers,

just like a lot of other people in the administration have already done.

Some of these people include Hope Hicks, who was just announced as the new White House

communications director, Reince Preiebus, Sean Spicer, all of those people have now

hired lawyers because they're about the be interviewed by special prosecutor Robert Muller

as the any involvement with the Trump campaign, dealing with Russia, and how that might have

influenced the election or influenced anything the Trump administration has done.

Here is what their lawyers are telling them, and not just them but other, regular staffers

within the White House who fired lawyers.

They're saying, "Do not lie to protect the president.

It's not worth perjury, going to jail, just to protect Donald Trump.

That is the advice that these people's lawyers are giving to them right now.

Typically, when you meet with a lawyer, especially as part of a criminal investigation, there

is a confidentiality, excuse me, confidentiality there.

You can tell your lawyers things, much like you tell a doctor and they're not going to

go tell people, it's the same thing with lawyers.

They will not go and turn you in if you say, "Yes, I did this."

After meeting with these clients, if they tell them, "Do not lie in order to protect

the president," there's a very good chance that they know something coming from there

client that the rest of us do not know and may not ever know.

But here's the bottom line with this, and I think this is a point those lawyers need

to drive home with these people.

Put him in the same situation, and would Donald Trump protect you?

I don't think so, and that's why these people should not do anything that could potentially

land them in prison, just to protect this man who would throw them under the bus at

the first possible opportunity, because that's the kind of guy Donald Trump is.

He never takes the blame.

He find somebody else to pass it off onto, and these fired staffers, the people who left

the administration, they're probably going to be some of the first people that he tries

to throw under the bus.

They know things.

They may not know enough to get us an indictment.

They may not know enough to get Donald Trump impeached, or even really investigated further.

But they do know things that I'm sure Trump doesn't want the public to know, and so they

need to make sure that they protect themselves legally, because Trump would not afford them

the same kind of courtesy of protecting them when the chips are down.

Trump is looking out for himself, and these people who are getting roped into this investigation,

these people who came into the administration after all of these horrible things happened,

but still got roped into it?

They need to look out for themselves at this point, because this noose that Bob Muller

is creating is getting wider and wider every day, encompassing more people, and eventually,

in the not-too-distant future, that noose is going to start tightening, and those people

who lied to investigators, lied to grand juries, about what the Trump administration and the

Trump campaign did, they're going to be some of the first people to go

to prison.

Republicans Vote To Keep Trump's Tax Returns Hidden From The World - Duration: 3:56.

In a very under reported story from last week, Republicans in the House of Representatives

on the Ways and Means Committee voted to shield Donald Trump's tax returns once again from

the American public.

The vote in committee was strictly along party lines.

All of the Democrats, who were in the minority wanted to release the tax returns, all of

the Republicans, the majority, said absolutely not.

The argument here is that Republicans say that Donald Trump, if we release his tax returns,

if we force him to release his tax returns, well that's a pretty gross invasion of privacy

and the party that brought us the Patriot Act and allowed the NSA to spy on every single

one of us, they wouldn't want to invade somebody's privacy, would they?

The Democrats, on the other hand have correctly pointed out that Donald Trump, as President

of the United States is not a private citizen and there are different legal thresholds for

the right to privacy over someone who is serving has the President of the United States.

Nonetheless, Republicans voted to block these tax returns from ever making it to the public

and the big question is why?

Well, we know one reason.

There is likely evidence within those tax returns that's going to point to some pretty

shady stuff that Donald Trump has done.

Maybe not illegal, I'm not saying it's definitely illegal, but probably pretty shady and unsavory

and things he doesn't want the public to know, otherwise he would have released them or it's

going to show that's he's not worth as much as he claims and it's going to hurt his ego.

There's something hiding in those tax returns, otherwise they would have been released.

Again, that's not necessarily the question of why are the Republicans doing this.

The reason I want to know why the Republicans are doing this is because Donald Trump treats

them like crap.

He has been nothing but a bully to this Republicans.

He berates them all the time on Twitter, during interviews, every opportunity he gets and

yet they are still so loyal to this guy who's so mean to them that they won't even force

him to release those tax returns.

God, that is a level of loyalty that even money can't buy.

Either that, or it's a level of stupidity that only exists in the mind of a Republican

because these people are not ... Donald Trump is not going to protect them if something

happens to them.

We already know that Steve Bannon is trying to primary a lot of Republicans because he

wants people that are going to move further to the right.

Donald Trump has no power without the House of Representatives and the Senate and as long

as he continues to berate them, but they still protect him, Trump has nothing to worry about,

but if these collective Republicans somehow find a spine, they could take him down in

a matter of weeks.

They could be the people who come out and save the country from Donald Trump, instead

of emerging from this as cowards, as the people whose party put Trump in office and then subsequently

went down hill from there, they could be the people who step up and get him out of office

and then get viewed as heroes by the American public, but they're too stupid and too spineless

to realize that.

That is why they're going to take the constant bullying and the constant abuse from Donald

Trump because they don't know any better, when in realty they hold all of the power

to take this man out of office, they're just too stupid to know how to use it.

Ivanka Trump Sheepishly Admits That She Has No Influence Over Donald - Duration: 3:50.

Ivanka Trump's role within the White House still isn't quite clear.

We do know that recently she peeked in on a meeting, just to say, "Hi Daddy," and then

walked away as if that somehow contributed to anything or was any part of any important

thing that was happening.

But according to a recent interview that Ivanka gave with The Financial Times, she had finally

admitted that she has basically, absolutely no sway over her father one way or another.

In fact, she said it's completely unrealistic for people to think that she would be able

to change his mind.

And that's short of turning him into a Democrat, she's always gonna be viewed as a failure

among those people.

Well, that's not actually true, Ivanka.

First and foremost, the media hyped the hell out of you after the election and before the

inauguration, saying that you might be some kind of liberal stalwart there within the

administration who would force the President to act on things like climate change and equal

change for men and women, and gay rights, and all of that.

And yet, you've just continued to roll over and roll over and roll over, and then wring

your hands and say, "Oh, you can't actually to change this man's mind!

No, absolutely not!"

Well no, because that's pretty much what you had told us you were gonna try to do.

And your father clearly won't listen to you.

And I guess now, you're finally starting to realize it.

Either that, or you're finally tired of people calling you out on it.

Which, I'm gonna guess, is probably what happened here.

You see, it's not that you're not changing your father's mind.

It's that you're not standing up for the issues that you allegedly claimed to care about during

the campaign and before the inauguration.

You sat by and supported your father's decisions to appeal an Obama era rule that would've

forced companies to disclose how much they're paying men versus how much they're paying

women, which could've helped us tremendously in the fight for equal pay for the genders.

You did nothing about your father saying transgendered people can't serve in the military.

You've done nothing about the issue of climate change, even though we're witnessing some

of the worse climate catastrophes this country has ever seen.

You have done nothing.

Just like your father, you are a fraud.

So you can go out there and say that it's unrealistic to suspect or expect you to do

anything about your father's positions, but isn't that kind of what your role is supposed

to be?

Aren't you some sort of advisor to the President, even though you're also his daughter?

You've sat in on policy meetings.

You've gone to meet with Ambassadors overseas on behalf of your father.

So yeah, you've got some sway.

The problem is, I don't think you believed in any of those things you told us you believed.

It's not that you're not convincing him to be more liberal, it's that you never were.

You, just like your father, conned millions of people in this country into thinking that

you actually cared about them.

But you are no different than that sycophantic narcissist that we have in the White House.

Ivanka is exactly like Donald Trump.

She fooled a lot of people into thinking she wasn't, but she has proven at every given

opportunity that she is exactly like her father.

Donald Trump Says We Need To Shut Down The Entire Internet - Duration: 4:11.

Late Thursday evening, early Friday morning in London over in the United Kingdom, a bomb

went off in a subway tube that injured 18 people.

Possibly as many as 20 have been sent to the hospital; however, it appears that none of

their injuries are life-threatening at this point.

However, this incident is being ruled as terrorism at the moment, and therefore, Donald Trump

immediately took to Twitter following this attack to basically do what Donald Trump does

best, and that is overreact, because Donald Trump's reaction to this bombing in London

was to say that we, everybody, the world, needs to close off the internet so nobody

can use the internet, so terrorists can stop using that as a recruiting tool.

Now, it might be a bit of a shock for people to learn this, but this is actually not the

first time that Donald Trump has actually called for the internet to be shut down in

response to terrorist attacks.

After he first made this comment several months ago, he then backed up and said, "Well, let's

just shut down the terrorist websites," as if that's something that other people haven't

thought of yet.

But now in the wake of this London bombing, he's come out and said, "You know what?

Screw it.

We've got to get rid of the internet."

Now, of course, all of this happened on Donald Trump's favorite medium, Twitter, which is

an internet-based social media platform, and of course, he didn't see the irony in that.

In addition to the tweet about shutting down the internet, he also sent out a tweet saying,

"We need a bigger, better, badder enforced travel ban to keep people out of the United

States, which courts have consistently ruled as basically unconstitutional.

He also took a few swipes at the ESPN host who earlier this week called him a racist,

white supremacist.

He offered absolutely no sympathy for the city of London or for the people who were

harmed in this attack, just basically used it to promote his own selfish positions and

to go out there and attack a media personality because they said something that he didn't

like.

Rest assured, Donald Trump's call to shut off the internet really has nothing to do

about stopping terrorism.

If it did, Donald Trump wouldn't be cutting back the budget and staff at the cybersecurity

offices within the United States Government, but he is.

All this is about is about shutting down his critics.

If we lose the internet, which, folks, it'll never happen, so don't worry about that, but

if we lose the internet, the majority of the voices speaking out against Donald Trump go

away.

He doesn't have to worry about all those negative stories and the people berating him and attacking

him, rightfully so, on social media platforms.

His little bubble gets a little bit tighter because there's no more outside negative influence

from the fact that the internet would be dead.

It's also worth noting that in the past Donald Trump said that he was going to talk to Bill

Gates about possibly shutting down the internet as is somehow Bill Gates has a massive switch

in his house that just turns the internet on and off or that he really has any sway

over whether or not the internet actually works.

Donald Trump is absolutely delusional if he thinks that cutting off the internet is going

to stop any form of terrorism, really.

Terrorism has existed long before the internet.

It will continue to exist if the internet is gone, and it's going to do even worse things

on the internet if you continue to cut back on the departments in your own government

that are in charge of monitoring those kinds of things.

You've been given ample opportunity to properly respond to terrorist attacks around the globe,

and yet, again, you failed miserably in your response to what happened in London

this week.

Sen. John McCain has teamed with Democrats to jump on the anti-Trump bandwagon once more.

The Arizona senator has co-sponsored a bill introduced by New York Democratic Sen. Kirsten

Gillibrand that effectively blocks President Donald Trump's order to ban transgender

military service.

WE reports:

The stand-alone bill, which is also co-sponsored by Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., the top Armed Services

Democrat, has the same language as an amendment proposed by Gillibrand and Collins this week

for the National Defense Authorization Act that would prohibit the military from barring

service based on gender.

That amendment never received a floor vote due to a dispute between Republicans and Democrats

over debate of the NDAA.

Last month, Trump ordered the military to phase out gender reassignment surgeries by

March, abandon plans to begin recruiting transgender troops, and decide how to handle those already

serving.

The White House said the intent of Trump's presidential memorandum is to roll back the

Obama administration decision to allow open transgender service beginning last summer.

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said he is setting up a panel of experts to decide how to execute

the president's order.
