Trump news on Youtube Sep 2 2017

Once again Washington is sending mixed signals on ways to deal with North Korea.

President Trump said "talking is not the answer",... when his defense chief reiterated "all options",

including diplomacy, are on the table.

Here's Connie Kim to help provide some clarity on the matter.

U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis leaped at the opportunity to clarify his stance after

he came under-fire for seemingly undermining President Trump's views on how to deal with

North Korea.

Ahead of his meeting with South Korea's Defense Minister Song Young-moo on Wednesday, Mattis

said Washington is never out of diplomatic solutions … in an apparent rejection of

President Trump's earlier tweet where he said "talks were not the answer" following the

North's ballistic missile launch over Japan.

The defense chief's comments sparked speculation that the two were not in lockstep on Pyongyang.

Meeting with reporters on Thursday,... Mattis insisted this was not the case and asserted

the media had misinterpreted his remarks.

The defense chief said he agrees with the president and stressed that Washington should

not be talking to a nation that fires missiles over its allies,... but Mattis said the U.S.

isn't done with diplomacy.

The White House also reiterated on Thursday that all options -- diplomatic, economic,

and military -- are on the table in regards to North Korea.

A matter of days after Secretary of State Rex Tillerson praised Pyongyang for showing

restraint,... signalling Washington was open to dialogue,... the regime fired its ballistic

missile on Tuesday,... prompting the U.S. to seek fresh measures against the North.

[Breaking News] Hundreds of business leaders call on Trump to protect 'dreamers' - BBC NEWS - Duration: 3:32.

Hundreds of business leaders call on Trump to protect 'dreamers'.

Hundreds of business executives from tech to health care to hospitality are calling

upon President Trump to preserve an Obama-era program that allows children brought to the

United States illegally to live and work without punishment.

The national coalition on Thursday petitioned Trump to rethink his plans to scrap the five-year-old

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program as early as Friday.

Doing so would imperil the economy and jeopardize the futures of nearly 800,000 young people,

known as "dreamers" — 97 percent of whom are in school or in the workforce, they

wrote.

At least 72 percent of the top 25 Fortune 500 companies count DACA recipients among

their employees, the letter said.

"Dreamers are vital to the future of our companies and our economy," the executives

wrote.

"With them, we grow and create jobs.

They are part of why we will continue to have a global competitive advantage."

They have already submitted to extensive background checks.

They pay income taxes.

Without them, the economy would lose $460.3 billion from the national GDP and $24.6 billion

in Social Security and Medicare tax contributions, the letter said.

The letter, organized by FWD.us and signed by leaders of Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft,

Amazon and nearly 400 other companies, also urged Congress to pass legislation that would

provide a permanent fix for the young undocumented immigrants.

Trump has signaled his willingness to eliminate the legal protection for these immigrants,

but so far has not taken the steps to do so.

He has both promised to end the deferred-action program on his first day of office — calling

it an unconstitutional abuse of executive authority — as well as vowed to "show

great heart" to "these incredible kids."

If Trump ends the program, the young immigrants would no longer be able to obtain work permits

and may be deported.

Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg, who co-founded FWD.us, wrote a separate post

Thursday night urging the government to protect "dreamers."

"These young people represent the future of our country and our economy," Zuckerberg

wrote.

At Microsoft, at least 27 employees are beneficiaries of DACA, said Brad Smith, Microsoft president

and chief legal officer, in a blog post.

They are software engineers, finance professionals, and retail and sales associates.

Ending the program, he said, would be a "step backwards for our entire nation."

Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella wrote in his own post that "smart immigration

can help our economic growth and global competitiveness" in addition to creating more jobs for Americans.

Microsoft, Nadella said, "will always stand for diversity and economic opportunity for

everyone."

Silicon Valley leaders have grown accustomed to challenging Trump's immigration policies,

given the tech industries' large reliance on immigrant and foreign workers.

They have criticized his promise to crack down on H-1B visas for high-skilled foreign

workers and opposed his ban on entry to citizens of six Muslim-majority countries.

$ 780 Billion Victory!

House GOP Just Passes $ 780B Bill, President Trump Finally Has The Money He Needs To …

President Donald Trump is one bit nearer to following through on a promise he made to

the Americans.

All through his fruitful campaign, he said he'd stop the interminable flood of unlawful

migration that has pushed a once-proud nation to the brink of collapse.

He swore he'd do all that he could to secure Americans and recover this country on its

feet, and that incorporates things like a travel forbid that prevents terrorists from

entering the nation.

Maybe most dubious is the oft-debated southern border wall, which liberals love to loathe

and ridicule, while in the meantime offering no arrangement at all for the illicit movement

issue.

Indeed, their answer is to overlook it or imagine there is no issue.

Yes, ostrich disorder runs widespread among the misleading Left.

Be that as it may, now, the House of Representatives has given Trump and genuine Patriots around

the nation a colossal triumph: They've passed a $788 billion spending package, which incorporates

funding for the military and…

Yes, a border wall amongst Mexico and the United States.

Via Independent Journal Review (citing the Associated Press):

"The legislation passed on a 235-192 vote and is likely to face tough Democratic opposition

in the Senate.

In addition to the border wall financing, the spending package contained funding for

military pay raise and an increase for veterans programs.

Although the border wall reportedly received low public approval in the polls, the Republicans

gave Trump the necessary funding.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.)

Suggested Trump got, or would eventually, get as much funding as he requested for the

border wall.

'Every single dime the President asked to start building a wall on our southern border,

he's going to get,' McCarthy said.

"

Obviously, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi scrutinized the bill since it skirted a $70

billion spending limit put on the military.

Yes, Nancy, it breaks that utmost yet in the event that we don't accomplish something

NOW to shield ourselves from individuals of your kind, we will transform into parts of

Europe… which is going up on fire at the present time.

That ought to be a lesson to us with respect to movement and relocation however once more,

liberals would rather stick their hands in the sand and chant "Kumbaya" in light

of the fact that they can't deal with reality.

Obviously, they never could.

Which is the reason we're in this circumstance?

What do you think about this?

Moon, Trump agree to build up missile deterrence amid N. Korea threat - Duration: 1:35.

We start with talks between the leaders of South Korea and the United States...

Speaking for the first time since North Korea raised the stakes by lobbing a missile over

Japan,...

Presidents Moon Jae-in and Donald Trump agreed to enhance their joint missile capabilities

to better deal with Pyongyang's increasing threats.

They also agreed to slap the strongest possible sanctions on the regime to bring them back

to dialogue.

Our Kim Hyun-bin has this report.

South Korea's presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae revealed on Saturday that President

Moon Jae-in and his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump held telephone talks on Friday,... three

days after Pyongyang launched an intermediate ballistic missile over Japan.

The two leaders pledged to continue applying strong diplomatic and economic pressure on

the regime and take necessary preparations to deter and defend against North Korea's

growing threats.

They also reaffirmed their view to peacefully resolve North Korea's nuclear issue and apply

maximum sanctions on the regime to bring them back to the dialogue table.

President Moon denounced North Korea's recent missile launch over Japan.

He called it a serious provocation that violated UN Security Council resolutions,... adding

that it raised military tensions in the region.

President Trump put emphasis on sending a strong and clear message to the regime.

The two leaders also agreed to revise South Korea's missile guidelines to better counter

North Korea's missile threats.

South Korea wants to increase its missile payload to one ton from the current 500 kilograms

to better counter North Korea's missile capabilities.

Colossal Fraud Scandal Just Erupts! The Numbers Are Huge, President Trump Was Right All Along - Duration: 14:47.

Colossal Fraud Scandal Just Erupts!

The Numbers Are Huge, President Trump Was Right All Along

President Donald Trump said from the begin that voter fraud was a rampant issue in the

U.S.

He said he'd investigate the issue and the moment he said it, Democrats went wild.

Obviously, this lone implied at the actualities: Not just was the Left very much aware of the

election fraud, but since it was to a great extent to support them, they needed to imagine

it didn't exist.

Yet, apparently consistently, we unearth more proof of evident voter fraud and with each

new report, Trump grins only somewhat more.

Voter fraud is genuine and maybe it's nothing unexpected to see the mind-boggling reports

originating from Democrat-centric cities and towns.

For example, there's the liberal haven known as Chicago, where Mayor Rahm Emanuel has effectively

demonstrated he thinks much more about unlawful outsiders than American nationals.

However, now we have hard proof of monstrous voter fraud in that city and encompassing

ranges.

Via Federalist Papers:

The Chicago City Wire reports that "[m] ore than 14,000 votes were cast in Chicago

during the 2016 general election than there were voters to cast them", based on separate

figures released by the Chicago Board of Elections, the chairman of the Chicago Republican Party

has reported.

"Chris Cleveland told the Chicago Wire that 'on a whim,' he filed a Freedom of Information

Act (FOIA) request with the board, which provided him with a list of 1,101,178 people who voted

in the general election.

An earlier post on the board's website said that 1,115,664 votes were cast.

"'There should never be more votes than voters,' Cleveland said.

'Every ballot cast should be recorded against a registered voter.'

"

That is a splendid insight, would it say it isn't?

How would you get a larger number of votes cast than enlisted voters?

Basic.

Voter fraud.

To exacerbate the situation, Chicago isn't the main ward with this issue.

Indeed, this is by all account not the only assortment of voter fraud, either.

"According to the director of Judicial Watch's Electoral Integrity Project Robert Popper,

there are ten other states that have another kind of discrepancy in their voting rolls:

The number of registered voters exceeds the number of voting-age citizens as determined

by a review of the Population data.

'"

Simply don't tell the forces that be in Chicago that another person has concocted

another approach to fix the vote.

Heads will move over the disappointment of the city's leaders to stay aware of and

actualize the most recent developments in voter fraud.

Regardless, this qualifies as a ludicrously tremendous issue and one that totally should

be settled.

Trump was right and ideally, the #1 issue that sicknesses vote based system will be

dispensed with amid Trump's opportunity in office.

What do you think about this?

Obama Is FINISHED!

Donald Trump Caught Him With Dirty Hands Yesterday

Yesterday Donald Trump's newest travel ban was blocked by a Democrat judge from Hawaii.

And we found out who is really behind the judge's decision.

According to News 2, Obama played golf this Tuesday then he went to eat lunch at Noi Thai

Restaurant on the other side of the island.

Obama was with his "friends" at the time, in a private room.

But the real deal is this information: Judge Derrick Watson, Obama's Harvard classmate

and the Judge who blocked Trump's order, lives just 5 minutes from that restaurant!

We still can't confirm if Obama is standing behind the judge decision to block Trump's

order, but that is very likely!

Looks like Obama met with Judge Watson and made him to that!

Derrick Watson is known to be an Obama appointee and both graduated together at Harvard.

This is the only logical explanation: Obama is driving for forty minutes getting out of

his way to go to a restaurant that by some coincidence happened to be placed next to

his former Harvard Classmate, who by some coincidence happens to block President Donald

Trump's newest Executive Order the very next day.

This is very suspicious.

Looks like Barack Obama still wants to meddle in Trump's business and drag him down!

This has to stop!

AMAZING! What Trump's Team Did To The President Will Bring Tears To Your Eyes!

Trump raised a lot of questions when he declared that he will not go to this year's White

House Correspondents dinner.

The Correspondents' dinner is basically fake prom night for the fake news media. They

get dressed up, walk the red carpet, and then listen to some mediocre, liberal comedian

bash Trump.

So, President Trump gave the media the ultimate "F U" when he announced he wasn't going.

However, Trump isn't the only one who won't be attending!

ABC News is reporting that Trump's entire White House Staff WILL NOT be attending the

dinner because they stand in "SOLIDARITY" with President Trump!

"THE WHITE HOUSE INFORMED THE WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS' ASSOCIATION THIS EVENING

THAT WHITE HOUSE STAFF WILL NOT BE ATTENDING THIS YEAR'S WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS'

DINNER OUT OF 'SOLIDARITY' WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP."

This is so good to hear. That President Trump's team stands

Shocking New Evidence Ruins Obama Cronies, President Trump Was Right All Along - Duration: 16:17.

Shocking New Evidence Ruins Obama Cronies, President Trump Was Right All Along

Liberals still cry about a non-existent Trump/Russia scandal, while helpfully disregarding the

wrongdoings of our nation's past president.

The way that Barack Obama violated the Constitution and around twelve different laws while in

office is no longer up for question.

It's quite recently hard actualities with a pile of evidence to help them.

What's more, when Donald Trump started his keep running toward the White House, everybody

knew the Democrats – headed by Obama, obviously – would successfully remain in his direction.

This incorporates election fraud, which has completely exploded for the current year because

of Trump's internal investigation that has officially demonstrated Democrats drove a

huge number of illegals to the surveys.

In any case, even before that, we heard whispers of Obama and his associates keeping an eye

on Trump and his progress individuals.

Presently, we have more proof to help this hypothesis.

Fox News:

"An Obama official made" hundreds of unmasking requests "during the last year of the previous

administration, according to a letter from a top Republican who raised new concerns that

officials sought the identities of Trump associates in intelligence reports for 'inappropriate

purposes'.

'Unmasking' refers to the formal request to identify the Americans in an intelligence

document.

"

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) has blamed Obama authorities

for burrowing around for the names of Trump's transition team, and no less than one authority

made "hundreds" of solicitations in this vein.

Nunes said Democrats had zero justification for doing this and three of the nation's

greatest big cheeses give off an impression of being included:

Previous CIA chief John Brennan, previous national security adviser Susan Rice, and

previous U.N. envoy Samantha Power.

The last has all the earmarks of being at the focal point of Nunes' accusations.

Essentially, these insiders endeavored to keep an eye on Trump's team by looking for

information "within intelligence reports" and truly, there was no other explanation

to jump into those reports, as per Nunes.

Moreover, it's attainable that such data could be leaked to the press, yet another

enormous issue the White House has had for the current year.

What's more, who is in charge of the majority of this?

Believe it or not, the Democratic National Party, whose best individuals can't maintain

a strategic distance from features of flawed or even criminal conduct.

When are these individuals going to begin paying for their violations?

All the more critically, when will a greater amount of America realize they've been LIED

to and controlled for over 10 years?

What do you think about this?

Do not hesitate and write your thoughts in the comment section below.

Trump Still Calls Steve Bannon When His Chief Of Staff Isn't Looking - Duration: 3:04.

Most Americans were overjoyed when Steve Bannon was fired from The White House, but as it

turns out, his influence hasn't quite left Donald Trump.

According to new reports, Donald Trump likes to call Steve Bannon on his personal cell

phone when he thinks that his new Chief of Staff John Kelly isn't around or looking over

his shoulder to know that he's still calling Steve Bannon for advice on issues.

Now according to this new report by The Washington Post, Steve Bannon is not the only outside

advisor that Donald Trump is seeking advice from, but he's obviously one of the most important

because it shows that white nationalist influence that Bannon had on The White House is still

there.

Bannon's influence, Breitbart's influence, has not stopped because Donald Trump is still

reaching out to him.

There could be several reasons as to why Donald Trump still feels the need to pick up his

phone and call Bannon.

The first and foremost being, he probably wants to maintain a good relationship with

Steve Bannon because he knows if he doesn't, if Bannon gets pissed, he's going to start

leaking all of the horrible things that went on behind the scenes with the Trump administration,

something that Bannon knows first hand.

Second of all, he wants to maintain a good relationship with Breitbart, because if Breitbart

turns on him, that's going to turn the alt-right against Donald Trump and kill any chance he

may have to run another successful election, should he survive, politically, until the

next election.

More importantly, it shows that Donald Trump is the kind of guy who does not care what

people who are smarter than him have to say.

In this case, John Kelly.

John Kelly came in as the new Chief of Staff and he tried to tighten things up.

He tried to reign Donald Trump in and make him slightly more likely for the American

public, trying to cut back on his Tweeting, cut back on the amount of fake news that he

is actually exposed to, meaning Fox news and Breitbart.

Behind the scenes Donald Trump doesn't care what John Kelly says or does because he's

still going to do whatever the hell he wants to do anyway.

These phone calls that he's making to Steve Bannon prove that.

At this point, the only question is how much longer with John Kelly decide to stay in this

position if he knows that Donald Trump is not listening to him.

On Friday morning, Trump tweeted out some praise for John Kelly saying what a great

job he's doing because obviously he understands that Kelly's getting really fed up with the

fact that he's trying to make Donald Trump a better person, but Trump simply doesn't

want to make himself any better.

Trump Is Sabotaging Obamacare So He Can Blame Obama For Its Failure - Duration: 3:35.

After the Republicans in the Senate failed to pass any form of health care reform, basically

to repeal Obamacare, Donald Trump said, "You know what?

Fine.

I'm just going to let Obamacare fail on its own."

Because as Republicans kept telling us, the Affordable Care Act, Obamacare, was absolutely

failing.

It was in a death spiral is what Paul Ryan and a lot of Republicans like to tell us,

so they were just going to sit back and let that happen and do nothing to fix it.

Well, as it turns out, every available report that's looked into it said Obamacare was actually

flourishing.

It was nowhere near being in a death spiral because it was actually getting better.

More people were signing up for it.

Obamacare was growing.

And, because Trump can't have anything that President Obama did actually succeed, he's

now decided he is actively going to sabotage the Affordable Care Act and, by extension,

sabotage the lives and health of American citizens.

Here is what Donald Trump has proposed to do.

He is going to slash the advertising budget for the Affordable Care Act down to about

10% of what it was during the time of open enrollment.

What this means is that people will not be able to get the information they need through

TV commercials, through billboards, through radio ads, or whatever.

It's not going to be there because there's no budget left for it.

They're not going to know that it's time for open enrollment.

A lot of people don't necessarily pay attention to that every year and check the website every

day to get those dates.

Trump is trying to take away their ability to sign up so he can go back later and say,

"Look how many people decided not to sign up for Obamacare because it's a failure."

He's not going to take any of the blame for it.

He's going to put it all on Obama, even though Trump is the single person who is making this

happen.

Furthermore, they're going to cut back on the funding for staff that help people navigate

the waters of Obamacare, that help them get signed up and pick their plans.

Basically, cut the staff down to absolutely nothing, so there aren't enough people to

help consumers pick out the plan that they need or that best fits their budget and their

family.

So, instead, people may end up buying a policy that over covers or under covers them, that

costs too much, or that costs so little but, again, doesn't cover anything.

Therefore, they would consider the system to be a failure.

The bottom line is this.

Obamacare has not failed.

Obamacare is not perfect.

There is a hell of a lot of room to improve, but the only reason it could fail at this

point is if Donald Trump and the Republican sabotage it, which is exactly what they've

said they're going to do.

This is disgusting behavior from the President of the United States and something that we

as an American public should not tolerate.

Unfortunately, we have little recourse until the 2018 midterm elections.

But when those elections roll around I want everyone to remember which party was fighting

to give you universal health care coverage, and which party was fighting to give health

care coverage to only the wealthy who could afford it and, at the same time, give the

wealthy a tax break.

After Discovering Gov. Workers Would Get A 26% Pay Raise, Trump Does The Unthinkable… | Top Stories - Duration: 2:37.

President Donald Trump wasn't about to let taxpayers fund a massive 26% pay raise for

government employees.

In a newly-announced plan, the commander in chief dropped that whopper of a raise all

the way down to a manageable 1.9 percent pay increase, continuing to give relief to taxpayer

dollars.

Trump told Congress of this new plan in a letter, saying that that he reducing the increase

drastically because "the adjustments that would otherwise take effect are inappropriate."

TDC reports:

Under the current law, the the pay schedule that governs federal employee salaries would

raise pay in 2018 by an average of 26 percent and cost taxpayers $26 billion, according

to the White House.

"A pay increase of this magnitude is not warranted, and federal agency budgets could

not accommodate such an increase while still maintaining support for key federal priorities

such as those that advance the safety and security of the American people," Trump

wrote of the current plan.

The law Trump references that mandates pay increases is the 1990 Federal Employees Pay

Comparability Act.

Previous presidents have routinely overridden the law, but Trump's statements are stronger

than the language that former President Barack Obama used.

"We must maintain efforts to put our Nation on a sustainable fiscal course," Trump wrote.

Federal employee unions and advocacy groups opposed Trump's plan, and would favor a

larger increase.

"While federal employees will appreciate the raise, an average increase of 1.9 percent

is the minimum required to prevent federal pay from declining further, and more rapidly,

below market than the current 35 percent wage disparity between public- and private-sector

wages," said Richard Thissen, president of the National Active and Retired Federal

Employees Association.

Tony Reardon, president of the National Treasury Employees Union, which supports a 3.2 percent

federal wage increase, believes the increase is not good enough.

"NTEU believes this figure is too low especially in light of the fact that federal law calls

for a 1.9 percent across-the-board raise and private sector wages are growing at an even

faster rate," Reardon said in a statement.

"Add to that, current proposals attacking the federal retirement system would result

in a pay cut for federal workers."

Donald Trump Is The Greatest Threat To Humankind, Nobel Prize Winners Say - Duration: 3:30.

According to several Nobel Prize winners in a recent interview, Donald Trump represents

the biggest threat to humanity on this planet.

Now, the Nobel laureates came forth with this information during a recent poll of Nobel

Prize winners, asking, I believe, about 40 of them, their thoughts on the world today,

and what they felt was the biggest threat facing humanity.

Two of them said it was Donald Trump.

And there's a very good reason why they said Donald Trump.

First and foremost has to do with his insistence that climate change is not real.

Donald Trump has tweeted out more than 100 times that climate change is not real.

However, many of the Nobel laureates interviewed for this survey said that climate change represents

the greatest threat to humanity.

And yet, Donald Trump doesn't accept that it's even real.

He doesn't believe in science.

He doesn't listen to scientists.

So that's the reason why several of these people said Donald Trump is actually the greatest

threat to humanity.

Others said that nuclear war is the greatest threat, and again, that can also tie back

to Donald Trump, who as we know, during his National Security briefings before being sworn

in, asked why we can't simply go nuke other people.

He already threatened North Korea with a possible nuclear, I guess, detonation, nuclear deterrent,

to get them to stop threatening the United States.

So we know that Donald Trump is not necessarily opposed to launching a nuclear weapon overseas,

really, anywhere.

We also know that he's been ramping up his banter with North Korea, that only seems to

be making the North Koreans more angry, and he has his administration actively working

on finding a reason to go launch a new war in Iran.

So yeah, probably not something we should trust Donald Trump about, and probably not

something that's going to end well for anybody in the world.

That's why we have these Nobel laureates, these people who really know what they're

talking about, telling us that Donald Trump is one of the greatest threats that humanity

faces today.

Why?

Because he is every threat rolled into one.

He is denial of climate change.

He's the potential for nuclear war.

He is the potential economic destruction of the United States and other countries.

He is corruption.

He is white supremacy.

He is everything that represents a threat, all in one disgusting little package.

And that's why these people ... Again, they know what they're talking about.

That's why they're trying to tell us that Donald Trump represents one of the greatest

threats to humanity in this world today.

I think that we need to listen to these people.

I think we need to put some stock, at least, into what they're telling us.

I think that those hardcore Trump supporters out there, the people who still want to buy

those Make America Great Again hats, need to understand that while they might blindly

support the president, the rest of the world is terrified about what this man is capable

of doing.

OBAMA IS DONE!

The NSA Released The Evidence Trump Was Looking For!

WASHINGTON - In the Obama administration's last days, some White House officials scrambled

to spread information about Russian efforts to undermine the presidential election - and

about possible contacts between associates of President-elect Donald J. Trump and Russians

- across the government.

Former American officials say they had two aims: to ensure that such meddling isn't duplicated

in future American or European elections, and to leave a clear trail of intelligence

for government investigators.

American allies, including the British and the Dutch, had provided information describing

meetings in European cities between Russian officials - and others close to Russia's president,

Vladimir V. Putin - and associates of President-elect Trump, according to three former American

officials who requested anonymity in discussing classified intelligence.

Separately, American intelligence agencies had intercepted communications of Russian

officials, some of them within the Kremlin, discussing contacts with Trump associates.

According to a former senior American official, he met with the Russian ambassador, Sergey

I. Kislyak, twice in the past year.

The details of the meetings were not clear, but the contact appeared to contradict testimony

Mr. Sessions provided Congress during his confirmation hearing in January when he said

he "Did not have communications with the Russians."

Mr. Sessions said in a statement late Wednesday that he "Never met with any Russian officials

to discuss issues of the campaign."

Mr. Trump has denied that his campaign had any contact with Russian officials, and at

one point he openly suggested that American spy agencies had cooked up intelligence suggesting

that the Russian government had tried to meddle in the presidential election.

At the Obama White House, Mr. Trump's statements stoked fears among some that intelligence

could be covered up or destroyed - or its sources exposed - once power changed hands.

What followed was a push to preserve the intelligence that underscored the deep anxiety with which

the White House and American intelligence agencies had come to view the threat from

Moscow.

Sean Spicer, the Trump White House spokesman, said, "The only new piece of information that

has come to light is that political appointees in the Obama administration have sought to

create a false narrative to make an excuse for their own defeat in the election."

He added, "There continues to be no there, there."

As Inauguration Day approached, Obama White House officials grew convinced that the intelligence

was damning and that they needed to ensure that as many people as possible inside government

could see it, even if people without security clearances could not.

Some officials began asking specific questions at intelligence briefings, knowing the answers

would be archived and could be easily unearthed by investigators - including the Senate Intelligence

Committee, which in early January announced an inquiry into Russian efforts to influence

the election.

At intelligence agencies, there was a push to process as much raw intelligence as possible

into analyses, and to keep the reports at a relatively low classification level to ensure

as wide a readership as possible across the government - and, in some cases, among European

allies.

This allowed the upload of as much intelligence as possible to Intellipedia, a secret wiki

used by American analysts to share information.

"When the intelligence community does that type of comprehensive review, it is standard

practice that a significant amount of information would be compiled and documented."

The opposite happened with the most sensitive intelligence, including the names of sources

and the identities of foreigners who were regularly monitored.

More than a half-dozen current and former officials described various aspects of the

effort to preserve and distribute the intelligence, and some said they were speaking to draw attention

to the material and ensure proper investigation by Congress.

Separately, the House and Senate intelligence committees are conducting their own investigations,

though they must rely on information collected by the F.B.I. and intelligence agencies.

On Wednesday, a Justice Department official confirmed that Mr. Sessions had two conversations

with Ambassador Kislyak last year, when he was still a senator, despite testifying at

his Jan. 10 confirmation hearing that he had no contact with the Russians.

He added that if there was, "It is clear to me that Jeff Sessions, who is my dear friend,

cannot make this decision about Trump."

At his confirmation hearing on Wednesday, former Senator Dan Coats, Mr. Trump's nominee

for director of national intelligence, told the Senate Intelligence Committee that "I

think it's our responsibility to provide you access to all that you need."

Some Obama White House officials had little faith that a Trump administration would make

good on such pledges, and the efforts to preserve the intelligence continued until the administration's

final hours.

This was partly because intelligence was still being collected and analyzed, but it also

reflected the sentiment among many administration officials that they had not recognized the

scale of the Russian campaign until it was too late.

As WikiLeaks was pushing out emails stolen from the Democratic National Committee through

online publication, American intelligence began picking up conversations in which Russian

officials were discussing contacts with Trump associates, and European allies were starting

to pass along information about people close to Mr. Trump meeting with Russians in the

Netherlands, Britain and other countries.

It wasn't until after the election, and after more intelligence had come in, that the administration

began to grasp the scope of the suspected tampering and concluded that one goal of the

campaign was to help tip the election in Mr. Trump's favor.

In early December, Mr. Obama ordered the intelligence community to conduct a full assessment of

the Russian campaign.

In the weeks before the assessment was released in January, the intelligence community combed

through databases for an array of communications and other information - some of which was

months old by then - and began producing reports that showed there were contacts during the

campaign between Trump associates and Russian officials.

The New York Times, citing four current and former officials, reported last month that

the American authorities had obtained information of repeated contacts between Mr. Trump's associates

and senior Russian intelligence officials.

Since the Feb. 14 article appeared, more than a half-dozen officials have confirmed contacts

of various kinds between Russians and Trump associates.

The label "Intelligence official" is not always cleanly applied in Russia, where ex-spies,

oligarchs and government officials often report back to the intelligence services and elsewhere

in the Kremlin.

Steven L. Hall, the former head of Russia operations at the C.I.A., said that Mr. Putin

was surrounded by a cast of characters, and that it was "Fair to say that a good number

of them come from an intelligence or security background.

Once an intel guy, always an intel guy in Russia."

The concerns about the contacts were cemented by a series of phone calls between Mr. Kislyak

and Michael T. Flynn, who had been poised to become Mr. Trump's national security adviser.

The calls began on Dec. 29, shortly after Mr. Kislyak was summoned to the State Department

and informed that, in retaliation for Russian election meddling, the United States was expelling

35 suspected Russian intelligence operatives and imposing other sanctions.

A day later, Mr. Putin said his government would not retaliate, prompting a Twitter post

from Mr. Trump praising the Russian president - and puzzling Obama White House officials.

American intelligence agencies routinely wiretap the phones of Russian diplomats, and transcripts

of the calls showed that Mr. Flynn urged the Russians not to respond, saying relations

would improve once Mr. Trump was in office, according to multiple current and former officials.

American intelligence agencies made it clear in the declassified version of the intelligence

assessment released in January that they believed Russia intended to use its attacks on the

United States

as a template

for

more meddling.
