Trump news on Youtube Oct 9 2018

By Antonia Noori Farzan Antonia Noori Farzan Reporter for Morning Mix Email Bio Follow October 9 at 6:29 AM "Tough as Texas," the reelection slogan of Sen

Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), might stoke images of the state's cultural identity, from jacked-up trucks and 10-gallon hats to red meat and the shooting range

It's a canny appeal that Cruz has repeatedly played up, claiming facetiously that his Democratic opponent, Rep

Beto O'Rourke, wants to ban barbecue and that liberals nationwide hope to turn Texas into California, "right down to tofu and silicon and dyed hair

" But if Cruz really was as Texas tough as he claims, a new ad by movie director Richard Linklater suggests, he would have dragged President Trump "out by the woodshed" for insulting his wife and father

Paid for by the Fire Ted Cruz PAC, which was founded by a Dallas lawyer and Democratic donor, the 32-second commercial was released on YouTube on Monday night

Unsurprisingly, Linklater, the Oscar-nominated director, rejects the standard conventions of political advertising

The spot starts out with a shot of a diner check, dated 11/6 — Election Day. Then, the camera cuts to a white-haired man sitting in a dimly lit restaurant, its walls lined with Texas license plates and vintage Route 66 road signs, a bottle of red hot sauce on the table

He clutches a diner mug in one hand. "Somebody left something on my door the other day that says, 'Ted Cruz, tough as Texas,'" he says, laughing

"I mean, come on." The older man — actor Sonny Carl Davis — looks into the camera with a deadpan stare

His baseball hat is embroidered with a cannon and the words "Come and take it," a symbol of Texas pride and defiance

"If someone called my wife a dog, and said my daddy was in on the Kennedy assassination, I wouldn't be kissing their ass," Davis says with a slight drawl

He points emphatically at the camera, leaning forward in his seat. "You stick a finger in their chest and give 'em a few choice words

Or you drag their ass out by the woodshed and kick their ass, Ted." He settles back down, his voice laced with contempt and derision, and grabs his mug again

"Come on, Ted," he says, grimacing. The video looks nothing like a typical campaign ad, because it isn't

Linklater, the Houston-born director of "Boyhood" and "Dazed and Confused," is known for his idiosyncratic and occasionally surreal style, and his realistic depictions of everyday life in small Texas towns

His anti-Cruz ad replicates a scene from 2011's "Bernie," a dark comedy based on a true story about the murder of a wealthy widow in the Texas town of Carthage

In it, Davis, wearing an identical outfit and clutching the same diner mug, plays an unnamed resident at a barbecue joint

In a brief but memorable interlude, he explains the state's regional stereotypes, from "Dallas snobs with their Mercedes" to "the Carcinogenic Coast" around Houston to "the People's Republic of Austin, with a bunch of hairy-legged women and liberal fruitcakes

" Though Trump's name is never said in the ad, Davis's lecture in the anti-Cruz spot is clearly a reference to the 2016 Republican presidential primaries, when Trump repeatedly insulted Cruz

Labeling him "Lyin' Ted." Trump threatened to "spill the beans" on Cruz's wife, Heidi

He shared unflattering photos of her on Twitter, comparing her unfavorably to Melania Trump

He also bizarrely suggested in May 2016 that Cruz's father might have played a role in the assassination of John F

Kennedy, possibly referencing an unsubstantiated report in the National Enquirer

At the time, Cruz fought back, calling Trump a "sniveling coward," a "pathological liar" and a "serial philanderer

" But after Trump won the Republican Party's nomination, Cruz endorsed him. Not long after, he was photographed looking profoundly sad while phone-banking for Republicans under a row of Trump-Pence signs

In September, during the only debate between Cruz and O'Rourke, the senator defended his decision to back Trump, the Dallas Morning News reported

Acknowledging that "there were some hard shots thrown," Cruz explained that he had swallowed his pride for the sake of accomplishing the Republican Party's agenda

"After the election in 2016, I faced a choice," he said, according to the Morning News

"Donald Trump had been elected president and we had an opportunity . . . to do something extraordinary

. . I could have chosen to make it about myself . . . to say my feelings are hurt and take my marbles and go home

" The rancor seems to be over on both sides. Trump has endorsed Cruz in the Senate race and pledged to hold a "major rally" for the candidate in October in "the biggest stadium in Texas we can find

" Last week, Donald Trump Jr. stumped for Cruz in Texas, telling the audience that Cruz had "put aside any of those differences" and "fought alongside of my father ever since on every major vote, for every policy piece — for everything

" But liberal activists opposing Cruz don't want Texans to forget. One of Trump's tweets asking why Texans would support Cruz "when he has accomplished absolutely nothing for them" and calling Cruz "another all talk, no action pol" has been blown up and printed on a 22-foot billboard truck, which is now touring the state

As for Linklater, this isn't the first time that he's gotten involved in Texas politics

Federal Election Commission records indicate that he has a history of donating to Democratic candidates, and has given $1,500 to O'Rourke's campaign so far this year

In 2017, he filmed a commercial denouncing a bill that would have prevented Texas public school students from using the bathroom that corresponds with their gender identity

Linklater also famously featured Alex Jones in 2001's "Waking Life" and 2006's "A Scanner Darkly," back when the Infowars host was a little-known fringe figure appearing on Austin's public access TV

"I just thought he was kind of funny," Linklater told the Daily Beast in 2017, describing Jones's rise as one of the nation's preeminent conspiracy theorists as "insane

" [Willie Nelson is playing a political concert for Beto O'Rourke. Some fans are abandoning him

] The Fire Ted Cruz PAC has raised about $500,000 so far, founder and Dallas lawyer Marc Stanley told the Dallas Morning News

While Cruz has bombarded O'Rourke with attack ads arguing that the El Paso congressman is too liberal for Texas, O'Rourke has tried to stick to positive messaging

And some supporters think he could fight back a little harder. "Beto O'Rourke needs to smack Ted Cruz in the mouth, figuratively," argued a Monday op-ed in the Morning News

The Fire Ted Cruz PAC, which operates independently of O'Rourke's campaign, is intended to supply exactly that kind of metaphorical punch in the face

"It's not in Beto's DNA to be negative," Stanley told the Morning News. "That's one of the reasons that we started Fire Ted Cruz PAC, so that we could tell people how awful Ted Cruz is

Donald Trump Slams Taylor Swift For Endorsing TN Democrat Candidate: I Like Her 'Less Now' - Daily N - Duration: 3:27.

Donald Trump not only disagreed with Taylor Swift's political opinions ahead of the midterm elections, but he took jabs at her music

Watch the shocking video from Oct. 8, here!    President Donald Trump, 72, is fired up after Taylor Swift, 28, put Tennessee's Republican Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn on blast

In an unprecedented move for the pop star, Taylor broke her silence on political affairs in a lengthy Instagram post on Oct

7, slamming the Senate candidate for voting against "equal pay for women" and the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, among other things

But Trump didn't appreciate Taylor joining the conversation. "Let's say that I like Taylor's music about 25% less now," the POTUS said to reporters outside the White House on Oct

8.    In lieu of Marsha, Taylor said she'll be casting her vote for Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredesen and Democrat Jim Cooper for the House of Representatives

But Trump wasn't only happy that she's voting for the opposing party. He took her callout towards the Republican Senate candidate personally! "Marsha Blackburn is doing a very good job now in Tennessee

She's leading now substantially, which she should," Trump also told the reporters

"She's a tremendous woman. I'm sure Taylor Swift doesn't know anything about her

" Ouch! Watch Trump say the words himself, below.  Many were shocked after Taylor shared her midterm voting plans to her 112 million Instagram followers

The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer has received backlash in the past for not being vocal about her political standing, after being heralded as an "Aryan Goddess" by Andrew Anglin, a white supremacist, among others

But Taylor put to bed any rumors that she's a supporter of the alt-right with her latest Instagram post! "In the past I've been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now," Taylor wrote in Sunday's post

"I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country

" "Let's say that I like Taylor's music about 25% less now," Pres. Trump jokes following Taylor Swift's endorsement of Democratic Tennessee senatorial candidate Phil Bredesen

https://t.co/D0fh71pQFl pic.twitter.com/4qeR6fCZcr  — ABC News (@ABC) October 8, 2018    "I cannot vote for someone who will not be willing to fight for dignity for ALL Americans, no matter their skin color, gender or who they love," Taylor continued to write

Oct. 9 is the last day for Tennesseans to register to vote for the midterms, as Taylor pointed out in her post

Trump Explains How Kavanaugh Has Been "Proven Innocent" - Duration: 0:52.

On behalf of our entire nation,

I want to apologize to Brett-y boy here

for almost having to be held somewhat accountable.

You're rich and white.

We do not do that in the U.S., ok.

And to decree that he has been "proven innocent."

How you ask?

Well, even though he's lied numerous times under oath,

he says he's innocent,

and since you're now a Supreme,

how do YOU find... yourself?

SNIFF.

Innocent.

SNIFF.

There! You see? You see?

Proven innocent!

Now do me! Do me!

Prove me innocent of all my crimes!

History Project- Trump's Executive Order (Final Draft) - Duration: 5:41.

Folks we have no choice. We have no choice. Without looking at the data, it is

clear that Muslim hatred against Americans is beyond comprehension. We

have to figure out where the hatred comes from because we can't live like

this. It's just gonna get worse and worse and were going to have more world

trade center events. Folks those days are over, we have to be tough, we have to be

smart, we have to be vigilant. Yes, we have to look at mosques and we have to

respect mosques. Folks we have no choice.

Good morning and welcome to Channel 84. I'm Janna Hannington with the latest on

Executive Order 13769. You've just heard President Trump address the

order, also known as the Muslim Travel Ban, that was issued 4 days ago, on

January 27, 2017. This order bans entry from seven majority-Muslim countries for

90 days following the signing of the order. Let's hear from Murt Doorknob,

legislation expert, to give us more detail on this executive order.

Thank you Janna. Yes, President Trump's Executive Order 13769 enacts 6 new policies.

First, it suspends the Syrian refugee program indefinitely. This means that no

Syrian refugees are allowed in the country at all.

Second, it bans seven majority-Muslim countries – Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan,

Syria and Yemen – for 90 days after the signing of the executive order.

This temporarily banned entry of dual-nationals who are from those seven

countries, but have an additional passport for 90 days following the

signing of the order. This is the part of the ban that caused a lot of confusion.

Now, back to Janna. Thank you, Murt Doorknob. Now let's hear

from Bruce Hemmington—here to tell us about his experience being held at an

airport trying to travel to the US the day Executive Order 13769 was signed.

Thank you Janna. My name is Bruce Hemmington and I have a Syrian citizenship and a U.K. passport.

When I arrived at the airport, I was not allowed to enter

the U.S. even though the U.K. is not banned. I was told the reason is because I

have a Syrian citizenship. It isn't until 90 days after the executive order was

signed I was allowed back in the country.

Thank you, Bruce Hemmington, for sharing your story. We hope the confusion gets resolved soon.

Anything to add, Murt Doorknob?

What happened to Bruce Hemmington was a common confusion at the airport that day. Lawsuits are currently being enacted.

The ban also suspended the Syrian refugee program for 120 days.

This means that no Syrian refugees can enter the country during these 4 months.

During this period, the government can accept refugees on a case by case basis, but

only in the following scenarios: if they are a religious minority facing

religious persecution, if the U.S. must admit the person to meet an international

agreement, or if they are already in transit and denying admission would cause

undue hardship. It capped the total refugee admissions for the fiscal year 2017 at 50,000.

Thank you, Murt Doorknob, for giving us the specifics.

It seems this ban has put a lot of restriction on immigration.

I have Hubert Manuel, an immigration expert, here to talk about the negative impacts of the ban.

The executive order brings up the issue that there are simply not enough workers in the US.

"Employers nationwide are grappling with a problem

that threatens to stall economic growth" reported by the Washington Post.

The order not only hurts the economy but it also separates children from their parents.

"More than 2,000 children already separated from their parents;

the executive order does nothing to address that nightmare,"

said Michelle Brané, director of the Migrant Rights and Justice Program

at the Women's Refugee Commission. Back to you, Janna.

Thank you, Hubert Manuel, for sharing the impact of the Travel Ban. Executive Order 13796

created a lot of unrest and protest. Here's a field reporter

Brucelle Burtigan on site at one of the many airport protests.

Thank you, Janna. Currently, there are thousands of people gathered at

airports all around the country; in Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington DC, and more.

We're here today at The John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, New York City.

Over 2,000 families, children and neighbors are gathered here today

for the 11 people that are being held at JFK's airport. Julia Carmel, an organizer and

one of the protesters at the scene, said: "The purpose of our protest at JFK airport

is twofold. First, we are demanding the safe release of refugees

and other visa-holders, all of whom cooperated with a long and gruelling

vetting process in order to get here. Additionally, the central message of our

protest is that we are all immigrants or children of immigrants and refugees.

The executive order is not only inhumane; it is absurd and hypocritical."

Thank you, Brucelle Burtigan, for sharing the emotional response of the ban.

And thank you to all our guests today for sharing your point of views and knowledge!

Before forming an opinion about an issue, the most important thing is to be educated.

Once again, I'm Janna Hannington with Channel 84.

Stay tuned for updates on Executive Order 13769 at 10pm.

Trump team's contact with Mueller targets could taint findings - Duration: 10:44.

Donald Trump's lawyers have maintained an unusual level of contact with

attorneys representing clients court up in the expanding Russia probe

communication that could taint evidence that Special Counsel Robert Newell air

is collecting in his investigation of the president they're not being shy

about it either the president's attorneys talk openly

about these joint defense agreements that they say were established to keep

them connected with lawyers tied to the president's aides allies and associates

they took the lead in organizing weekly conference calls earlier this year to

strategize with other counsel during an intense period of Mueller's

investigation in total Trump's lawyers have publicly noted they

have more than 30 so-called jTA's with Mullah probe targets under these

agreements Trump's attorneys can seek details on everything from what

questions and documents Mueller's team is asking about to who's on the verge of

criminal indictment the arrangement itself is routine for complex

investigations where scores of people get drawn in as witnesses subjects and

even targets staying in touch through formalized jTA's is a way to share

information under the protection of attorney/client privilege

but the Trump teams use of jTA's has pushed legal boundaries especially in

the instances where the president's lawyers claim to have maintained these

relationships with defense teams representing Morley targets who have

flipped to cooperate with the Russia probe for legal experts it's an approach

in line with the team's broader strategy to ignore well-established norms

whether through campaign style attacks on the special counsel or blunt public

assessments of Mueller's movements this president is mounting a full-court

defensive press and is not particularly concerned with the optics of anything

said a white-collar lawyer who represents a senior Trump official in

the Russia investigation discerning Trump's legal strategy is always the

risky endeavor it changes frequently at the whim of a temperamental president

who has cycled through attorneys at a dizzying pace during the 17 month-old

investigation but legal experts say recent public

from trompe l'oeil rudy giuliani about jTA's could be part of a longer-term

plate to question the legitimacy of evidence the special council is

collecting from cooperating witnesses including former Trump campaign Chairman

Paul Manafort they may be trying to plant the seed that something about his

cooperation is improper somehow sadly Hoenig a former assistant u-s attorney

who prosecuted organized crime cases like the first rule preached in the

movie Fight Club commenting publicly about the existence of joint defense

agreements is supposed to be verboten but that doesn't seem to be the case for

the president's lawyers in a recent interview Giuliani said the president's

lawyers still have jTA's with attorneys representing at least 32 other people

pulled into the Russia probe that number doesn't include Michael Cohen the former

Trump personal lawyer who pleaded guilty in August to tax evasion financial fraud

and campaign finance charges and has since confirmed on Twitter that he met

with Mueller even though his plea didn't specifically call for cooperation

it also doesn't include former national security adviser Michael Flynn who ended

his jda with Trump's lawyers last November just a week before Flynn

pleaded guilty in the marula probe for lying to the FBI this is not entirely

unexpected Trump personal attorney Jay Sekulow said in a statement issued

shortly before Flynn pleaded guilty but it does apparently include a few

unexpected figures including manna Fitz the longtime GOP operative who pleaded

guilty in September to charges stemming from his lobbying work in Ukraine as

part of his deal with the moola team Manafort agreed to cooperate fully

truthfully completely and forthrightly on all relevant matters manifests degree

of cooperation will factor into the severity of the prison sentence

Mueller's team recommends to a federal judge such cooperation deals usually

signal the end of jTA's with others involved in the investigation similar to

how Flynn cut off his arrangement shortly before agreeing to cooperate

according to Giuliani though Trump's attorneys have maintained contact with

man it's lawyers throughout the Mulhare

investigation including during his high-profile trial in Alexandria

Virginia and in the days leading up to and after Manafort made his decision to

plead guilty in mid-september in Giuliani's telling mana Fitz lawyers

have remained in the JD a with the president's attorneys throughout the

process because the client has no useful information for Mueller about Trump

legal experts say they're perplexed by Giuliani's public insistence that jTA's

still exist for people known to be talking with federal prosecutors a

practice they say verges on unethical such arrangements are also almost

guaranteed to raise the ire of mullah as prosecutors typically only strike

cooperation deals with defendants on the condition that they withdraw from many

joints defense set up the only way they can still be in jda is if they have told

prosecutors the defendant has nothing on Trump and they believe him a second

defense lawyer working on the Russia investigation said of the Manafort

situation but Giuliani's comments also could be seen as a warning that the

president's lawyers are primed to challenge Mueller's authority to use

some of the evidence collected from Manafort or other cooperating witnesses

through jTA's as the bulk of information shared in this manner is supposed to be

covered by attorney-client privileges that means Trump's lawyers could try and

block Mualla from using evidence in court if they believe the details were

gleaned from attorneys operating under the terms of a JD a the special counsels

team does have plenty of room to maneuver though for starters jTA's don't

cover facts a witness knows independent of a JTA and while information Manafort

shared with trump under the JTA is privileged the former campaign chairman

can also waive that right if he wants to share the information with prosecutors

outside of the courtroom a different standard applies for instance Trump's

lawyers can't stop Mualla from putting the evidence a witness gleaned under a

JTA into a report to congr s the more likely forum for Mueller's findings

given indications that his team won't indict a sitting president

I am sure that Trump leaning members of Congress would claim the information is

tainted for all purposes but I don't think there is any authority for that

proposition said Jack Townsend a Virginia based tax attorney and former

Justice Department lawyer Morrell are also isn't prohibited from using

criminally incriminating details that were shared through a JTA such as a

discussion about a presidential pardon for Manafort in exchange for continuing

to fight the special counsels charges imagine if the Mafia used a jd8 are

trying to hide a conspiracy to commit crimes

that'll go no place said norm Ison a former top ethics official in the Obama

White House and a frequent critic of the Trump administration

manuf its attorneys declined comment when asked about the status of the JD a

with the Trump lawyers their client met last Monday with Mueller's team at its

washington d.c office joint defense agreements are new to high-profile

political investigations lawyers representing President Bill Clinton and

his White House staffers relied on them during the Independent Counsel

investigation into everything from the Clintons whitewater land deal to the

Monica Lewinsky scandal president george w bush's staffers but not the President

himself had their own jda arrangements during the special counsel investigation

into who leaked the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame similarly those

pulled into the moola probe and other lawsuits stemming from the 2016 election

have established both formal and informal means to stay informed lawyers

for the longtime Trump operative Roger stone maintained a JD a with attorneys

from Trump's 2016 campaign as they battled a civil lawsuit brought by two

Democratic National Committee donors and a former staffer tied to the hacking of

their emails stones attorneys also have a JD a with lawyers for another former

Trump campaign staffer Michael Caputo who has been questioned by mullah in the

early stages of manifests defense against Mueller's charges his lawyers

even shared information with lawyers representing manaphy

long time deputy Rick gates that arrangements dissolved before gates

flipped and pleaded guilty claims of who's in and who's out of the Trump

legal teams jda arrangements aren't so simple either Giuliani told Reuters in

August that the president maintained a joint defense agreement with white House

Counsel Don McDonough but bill Burke the defense lawyer from a

gun said he never signed on to any jTA's with the president's attorneys my guys

are there to be witnesses Burke told POLITICO in January they're there to

tell whatever it is they're supposed to tell to answer questions truthfully

they're not coordinating strategy with the White House two other book clients

former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and ex White House senior

strategist Steven Bannon also don't have jTA's with the president's lawyers

lawyers close to the Russia probe said Giuliani's comments about the use of

jTA's may also just be his way of spinning through a sensitive topic that

could ignite his famously cantankerous client one attorney close to the White

House warned against interpreting his comments as part of a larger long-term

strategy to undermine Mueller's efforts that gives Rudy way too much credit for

sanity and clarity as a strategist he's just not in the game said an attorney

close to the White House Ann Marie McAvoy a former defense attorney and

media consultant for gates said Giuliani's remarks about jTA's may be

aimed more at influencing the court of public opinion ahead of the midterm

elections and with the prospect that Democrats could soon be armed with

Mueller's findings and launched impeachment proceedings they're trying

to quash any thought that Trump is somehow at risk by coming

Reporter Asks Trump About Hillary Criticizing Kavanaugh, President UNLOADS Hilarious Answer - Duration: 2:24.

Nikki Haley just resigned and President Trump was fielding questions from a pool of reporters

when one of them broke into a new topic.

This person asked what Trump thought about Hillary Clinton's criticism of the newly

confirmed Supreme Court Justice, Brett Kavanaugh, and the president unloaded a hilarious answer.

President asked about Hillary Clinton harshly criticizing Kavanaugh confirmation.

Trump: "That's why she lost.

She doesn't get it.

She never did.

I knew that a long time ago.

Hillary never got it.

That's why she lost."

Just.

Rekt."

Trump lit up the room and caused many watching the live video feed to laugh out loud.

This might be a good time for all journalists and reporters to remember to remain on topic.

SIGN THE PLEDGE To Vote Red On November 6th

If the topic of the moment is Nikki Haley, then maybe bringing up Hillary Clinton, who

is completely irrelevant to Haley's resignation, is not a good idea.

Then again, it was also a great idea because we just got to enjoy an absolutely comedic

performance a la classic Trump.

If there's one thing that President Trump won't do, then it's holding back.

Trump has no problem expressing how he feels about people he genuinely does not like.

That part of Trump is highly criticized by many of the people who do not support him.

Some people claim that it is "not presidential" of him to speak the way he does.

A quick reminder – Trump is not a politician.

His career spanned across reality television and real estate with a lot of books sprinkled

in.

We cannot expect a non-politician to change the way they speak based on the job they were

voted to do.

Trump being Trump is all people can expect.

In this case, he was a comedy genius as he criticized Hillary Clinton.

He has imposed more tariffs on Chinese goods than any other countries, and like clockwork,

every single time he puts a new tariff on them they slap one on US goods, because, hey,

they can afford it, too.

Here's the problem, and this is something that economists in the US are starting to

warn us about, the people who are actually paying the price tag for Donald Trump's trade

wars are middle class consumers.

The majority of the goods that the Trump Administration has slapped these tariffs on, which could

be as much as $20 to $40 billion per year, are middle class spenders.

You know, think about it, they're not putting massive tariffs on yachts, or, you know, granite

countertops for new mansions.

No, it's consumer goods.

Refrigerators, air conditioners, toys, things like that, construction equipment.

You know, those are the things that average American citizens, you know, actually regardless

of your income level, those are things we have to purchase.

Now, it doesn't affect the wealthy elite.

I mean the top one percent, if they have to $100 to $200 dollars more for a refrigerator,

that doesn't matter to them, it doesn't affect them.

They go about their daily lives, they don't even notice that they've spent that, because

they got a million dollars sitting in the bank.

Meanwhile, the average consumer, who's living paycheck to paycheck, hoping to have maybe

$20 or $30 left in their bank account by the time that next paycheck hits, they can't afford

those price increases.

I mean, I've been in that position, I'm still in that position, to be perfectly honest with

you, to where a price increase on a major purchase already, of $100 to $200 can immediately

price it out of that person's range, for the middle class and the underclass.

And I know a lot of people watching this are in that same boat.

You know, there's a big difference between going down to the appliance store and spending

$800 on a new refrigerator, which is already painful, and spending $1000 on a new refrigerator.

You know, buying that new TV for $400 instead of buying it for $700.

But those are the kinds of price increases that we will see, some areas of the country

are already seeing them, under Donald Trump's trade wars.

And he can do that because people like him and all of his buddies in his cabinet, they're

all multi-millionaires, some multi-billionaires, they don't notice it.

It doesn't matter to them.

This is a trade war, like so many other things Trump has done, that was started out of vanity.

He picked a fight with China during his presidential campaign, he escalated it now that he's become

president, and he doesn't know how to end it because he doesn't even know what he's

doing.

So let me give him some very, very clear advice about what he's doing.

You're screwing over the middle class Mr. President.

You're screwing over the underclass.

Your wealthy friends, your family, you don't notice these price increases.

To you they are minuscule.

You even had members of your administration, Wilbur Ross, Commerce Secretary, come out

recently and tell us that, eh, they're not really gonna notice, it's not that bad.

Well guess what?

We've noticed.

It hurts, it's affecting consumer spending, and if it continues it's going to send your

economy into a death spiral that nothing you do is gonna be able to stop.
