No videos will play from my Google Photos. I am able to upload, but not preview. This affects all videos in my library, as well as other people's videos that have been shared with me.

• When I try to access them from the Android app,​ ​they will just Load forever.
• When I access from the Google Photos website, I get an "Invalid parameters" error.
  
• My only option to see the video is to download it to my device.

I get a similar issue when a video is sent on Hangouts, either by someone to me or by me to someone but I want to preview it.

• The Android app will load the video forever.
• The Hangouts website gives me a 403 Forbidden error when I try to play the video
• Opposite to Google Photos, the video cannot even be downloaded.

Things I have tried:

• I used many other computers and mobile devices
• I tried clearing the cache and cookies of my browser
• Logging in in Incognito mode in various browsers

Four people in my family had the same issue and identical symptoms. Surprisingly, I don't have any problems playing a Google Drive video.

What is the cause of this? How do I fix it? And how is it possible for it to affect everyone in my family and not others?

Thank you for your amazing help Google Support team! Your suggestions to restart my device have been really helpful to solve my issue. 

It turns out that my whole family used the same ISP. Connecting to a different WiFi solved the issue. Our ISP is blocking access to the Google Videos server, so I will give them a call.

Half of some albums missing, and full albums are just MISSING. I checked the trash on my phone, i checked the trash on google photos, NOTHING. Its all gone. I dont understand, why it would delete full albums, and also delete half of my other albums and still keep the album that was backed up if it was insinuating that the 'already backed up' photos were going to be removed? Hello there, when you free up space, it deletes all local copies of photos that have been backed up, regardless of what folder they're in. If you have enabled backup & sync for a folder, then free up space would delete photos from this folder if they've been backed up.

This was a bad decision to move my photos to this app. I want them back where they were please! I do not recommend this app to anyone. It sucks. The jerk who made this app needs to be ushered to his car with his box of crap, and sent far away.

If it are regular albums there is no reason to hide these pictures from the mainstream by archiving them - I only do this for a very few "technical albums" because such pictures disturb my mainstream. 

But it would be handy then if you easily could select the contents of a new album and then choose Archive under its 3 dots. 

The usual but not very effective answer here is: use the feedback option under your profile to ask for such a simple implementation. And thereafter you need to have much patience, so in meantime it is better to go on with living :-)

Google Photos is a service which comes with the Google Account, it cannot be deleted but you can stop using it by deleting the app from your device. 

 

Camera roll photos will not be affected.

 

Photos already backed up can be deleted at https://photos.google.com/ or in bulk at https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_ where they are sorted by upload date.

If you have no modern computer, that is quite hopeless indeed.

But it is not clear what you mean with "I am out of room in my fldeive and picture accounts

Normally you would have one Gmail-account because of having one Android-phone and even if you don't use that account for your daily mail, you still have 15 GB free space at Google for using Google Drive and Google Photos (that's is not the same). But because most people don't use Google Drive, that 15 GB is for your Google Photos cloud merely. 

And if you run out of that space, you simply need to start paying about 22 dollars per year - is that so abnormal? See one.google.com/storage

If you don't pay, your account gets frozen and you can't add more. And after 2 years Google will ask you (via Gmail) what to do with your content before they delete all. 

Hard to say more about, because having more Gmail-accounts makes it all very complex and expensive to keep all fresh and working.

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your post.

 

To allow the app to backup over mobile data, follow these steps.

• Tap your profile icon
• Tap photos settings
• Tap Backup & sync
• Scroll down & tap mobile data usage
• Set daily limit as "Unlimited". Choosing this removes a lot of trouble.
• Tap the slider in front of "Back up whole roaming". That ensures uninterrupted backup even while roaming.
• Next, through the settings on your phone, allow the Google Photos app to use internet data in the background.

Once you ensure all these settings, the app will start backing up, uninterrupted.
