That's not possible and I don't understand why you are referring to Photobooks. 

But you simply can download a selected picture from photos.google.com in your browser via the 3 dots and then you can insert that picture in your opened Word-document from the Downloads folder.

Here are some of the possible reasons why you are seeing photos you may not recognize:

• Your Google account shares storage with other products such as Blogger or Google Drive. It is possible that you uploaded images to one of the other Google products which is now being displayed in Google Photos.
• You accepted someone’s invite to share their photo library.
• You uploaded someone’s files to your Google Drive storage.
• You left your account signed in on another device.
• You sold a device without resetting it to factory defaults.
• You received the images via a messaging application such as Hangouts, WhatsApp, etc.
• You configured the Google Backup & Sync software on a computer to upload the photos from a system folder such as the cache of a web browser.
• You set up a third party service (e.g. IFTTT) to automatically upload photos to your account.
• You have in your mobile device’s microSD slot a card you aren’t aware of or don’t remember inserting.

You should first review your account security, check for any unknown devices, and change your Google password, possibly enabling 2-step verification. If you've looked into these explanations and still aren't sure why you're seeing these photos, please let us know.

None of this applies to me. And hers another peculiar twist.... I had to send my phone to Samsung manufacturer to be repaired. Before doing so I reset to factory settings because I DO NOT take any chances ever. And these pix started showing up after I got the phone back. I have no computer, I have not started or accepted any shares for photos with anyone accept my 2 daughter's. They are not from them. I have no strange, old devices logged in. My password have all been changed. The pix are of Asian women, someone's mid section (clothed) and a digital microwave clock. Trust and believe they are not in any way shape or form from me nor anything I've done advertently or inadvertently. I don't even use wifi outside of my home... Ever.

Hello. I recorded two videos, one on Christmas Eve and one on Christmas morning. Neither of them have audio working. However all videos after those two, recorded audio just fine. I did not change anything on my phone. Just recorded video as normal. Not sure why audio didn't work for just those two videos and suddenly worked again. I need to upload 80GB of photos to my Google One/Google Photos situation. Obviously I can't upload these all in one go. I discovered this last night when I uploaded about 30GB worth.

The problem is, I can't tell where last night's upload ended its process. That is, there's no way to determine which photos have been uploaded and which have not.

It looks like I have 3 options:

1. Start from scratch, uploading everything again. That means I'll have 30GB of duplicates.
2. Determine where I left off last night through some magical process.
3. Delete those 30GB of photos from last night and start again, this time uploading things in manageable chunks so I can see where I left off.

I'd love to do #2. However, if there is no way to figure out where I left off, then I'm looking at #3. However, it doesn't look like there's a way to delete 30GB of photos that would take less than 10 years.

Any suggestions?

Hi Paul,

 

Google Photos has indeed a limit on how many photos you can upload at a time through a browser, which is 2 GB if I recall correctly.

 

Your option #3 is impractical as you can select -- and hence delete -- no more than 500 photos at a time. So let's try option #2. Does the recently uploaded page https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_ of the Google Photos website let you figure where you left off?

Google Photos has duplicate prevention. When photos (including metadata) are not edited there should be no duplicates. I would check with a small sample to start with.

Thanks, both of you. I followed Paolo's advice and was able to determine the last photo that uploaded last night. I just tracked that one down, confirm that the next one had not uploaded, and started from there. that _tra_ search is pretty handy.

Also good to know about the anti-dupe functionality. I'll try that out.

Suddenly a few days ago my screenshots stopped working. I can take a photo but then I can't see it. Am on Android phone.

Now a cloud has appeared with a cross through it saying device only. 

It seems to be photos I have taken a copy of like say a live show and taken photo to send seller to ask for.

Any ideas it jus spins and says something about unsupported media.

I even went into camera settings and did a reset.

But some do show this morning took photo of receipt in Paypal and it's showing and I was able to send seller.
