The below is the text appearing on the official help page.

Change date & time stamps

 

You can change the date and time stamps for photos and videos using a computer. 

When you change the date and time of your photo, the edited date and time will appear in Google Photos. But if you share it with other apps or download it, it may show the original date and time saved by your camera.

1. On your computer, go to photos.google.com.
2. Place your cursor over a photo or video. To select the items you want to update, click Select.
3. At the top right, click More.
4. Click Edit date & time. For multiple selections, you will see two options:-

• • To specify a date and time for the first item and automatically adjust the dates and times for the other pics relative to that, click Shift dates & times.
  • To set the date and time for all the selected items, click Set one date & time.

1. Follow the instructions to finish.

However, the modified date will remain on the cloud only. If you download the picture, that will show the original date or no date.

The problem may be not at Google Photos at all: see https://www.google.com/settings/storage being logged-in with the correct account.

It is impossible to find that extreme file unless it was uploaded accidently very recently - then you should look at https://photos.google.com/search/_tra_

Open the info panel of the pictures to see the GB's used - probably it is a video. 

But on https://photos.google.com/settings the Recover storage button must be present when the High Quality option is chosen. The big file maybe uploaded from your smartphone in Original setting in  the Photos-app, but that does not matter if you look in the browser on your computer.

I have noticed that Google Photos now allows you to have the system automatically add photos/videos of people/pets to albums, even shared ones. This is awesome, it takes a lot of the work out of having to remember to go back and share stuff. Plus the process of searching for photos/video to add to albums is a bit awkward. 

However, this could lead to someone taking a photo or video that they never would want to share since it could have nude/private/graphic images. But due to the system matching a face, it could automatically add the photo/video to a shared album and the family would get a notification to view it...

Am I missing a feature that allows you to review the photos it wants to automatically add to albums? If not then it would be awesome if my Google Photos would alert me that there are photos it would like to add to an album. I could then review them and deselect the ones that were private and allow the others to be added.

How could I download all of her photos on my disk? :)

That additional information is very important and makes your goal impossible. 

Now her pictures are mixed with yours on https://photos.google.com and you don't have them separated anymore in shared albums sent by her which could have been downloaded to your laptop one-by-one.  

So forget about. 

Unless you don't bother about a mixed download (if you have enough space on your laptop)?  

And why do you want this?

@Katarzyna, if you enable the option in Google Drive settings to create a Google Photos folder in My Drive you can download all your Partner's photos and most of your own (some of your own may be excluded, it depends on how they were initially uploaded, but ALL photos added to your library from your partner will be placed in the folder) 

 

The folder can either by manually downloaded or you can use Backup and Sync - Google Drive to sync to the laptop.

 

Google Photos folder Rules

What happens when you change or delete a photo after enabling the Google Photos Folder in Google Drive settings.

• If you delete individual photos or videos, they will be removed from Google Photos.
• If you delete folders (including the Google Photos folder), photos and videos won’t be deleted in Google Photos. This is to avoid deleting all your photos and videos by accident. Please note that the Google Photos folder can never be recreated after deletion except for newly uploaded photos.
• If you move photos from the Google Photos folder to a different folder and delete them from there, they’ll also be deleted in Google Photos.
• You should not use the Google Photos to store any photos uploaded to Google Drive from your Computer
