Hello! I am using google photos for almost a year to share family photos with my partner. I have prepared albums and shared it within my family and friends. It worked well but about 2 weeks ago my partner dissapiered from the sharing list. I have tried to add her again, but she did not recieve the invitation in her google account. I tried to share photo/album by a web link, but 404 error appears when she tries to open it. It is the same from the opposite direction: nor she can't share photo/album with me, and sent links produce 404 error at me too. We tried it via mobile (andorid) and laptop (windows, internet explorer) but did not help.
We asked one of our friends to try the links, he could open our shared photos without any problems. So it seems, that tha problem is only between me and my partner.

Hey so in my camera roll there were two pictures which wouldn't load properly (they were just slightly blurry) and it said 'unable to load photo. An error occured while loading a higher-quality version of this photo' when i tapped the little exclamation mark in the bottom right corner. So i thought moving everything to google photos might help it and so i did and deleted the majority of my camera roll for storage (except my favourites and these two photos which won't load properly). Everything is backed up on google photos except the two which wouldn't load properly and so i am very stuck. It also won't let me back up any new photos that i take ??? However, regretfully, your query is not related to some feature in the Google Photos app.
nevertheless, did you make some changes through the Settings -> Chats -> Media visibility in WhatsApp?
Nevertheless, WhatsApp hides the media folder from visibility to other apps usually.
But, you will find directions on how to unhide that on WhatsApp FAQ pages.
Additionally,
I suggest you use some file explorer app to view the media content on your phone. If your phone has none, please install the "Files" app by Google. Next, ensure in the setting of the app visibility of hidden files. Then search all the media folders for a hidden file of zero byte size. Delete that file & that should resolve your problem.

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your post.
Google Photos never uploads the same picture multiple times.
What we see as duplicates have some differences in file format or metadata.
Additionally, if you have activated Raw + JPEG capture or bracketing in your phone app, that would create duplicates.
Regrettably, Google Photos doesn't provide any means to remove the apparent duplicates. You have to search those manually.
However, you will find some tips in the following article compiled by experts with comprehensive experience on how to avoid duplicate photos & how to remove those.

If you're referring to the Google+ shutdown, Google Photos is not affected by it. Photos and videos backed up in Google Photos will not be deleted. See this FAQ for further information.
