Hello, I am having a bit of difficulties. While using chrome to look thru the albums, I am unable to scroll down to see the rest. And I would have clicked on albums with multiple photos. Do know that under the regular photo tab or any other, I can scroll up or down.

Now, the weird thing is that whenever I log into google photos using Firefox I do not have any issues with scrolling.

Is there a solution for Google Chrome?

You can try following actions step by step.

Clear browsing history & cookies.
Update the browser.
Check whether the OS has any pending updates.
Disable all browser extensions, including any antivirus.
Terminate any unwanted browsing processes through the Google Chrome task manager. Keep only one tab open.
Close all unwanted background services & apps. If you are using Windows PC, you can do so through the Windows task manager.
Reset the browser.
Uninstall & reinstall the browser.

hey im a guitarist/singer and i record my ideas on google photos. when i record i always have the phone facing down resulting in a black screen. this means that all my videos for music ideas look exactly the same. i have over 2000 recordings of me singing and playing guitar almost all coming from about a 10 month period and all the videos are usually around 3 minutes. the reason i use google photos for this instead of an audio recording app is because of 2 reasons. 1 im a dumbass and didn't think of it until i had invested too much time into it, and 2 because of the albums section that allows me to group my different song ideas together. the reason for this message is there's a few issues i have. everytime i sort different videos into their respective album the photos change order or size in the main section and it drives me insane. this is an issue because of every video looking exactly the same. it's impossible to sort with this and there's no way to turn it off in settings. another issue i just discovered with this rearranging and misshaping is it's effect on the transition animation. this animation appears after closing out of a video or photo that makes it clear which video you were just in, and i just now (after 10 months of sorting through my literally days of music ideas) learned that the animation can be, and often is, incorrect as a result of the rearranging. this animation being wrong is a huge problem for me because this whole time ive been basing which photo i was just in off of it and as you can probably guess, this means that my song ideas are scrambled. which also means im going to have to delete all of my albums and start from scratch. which means listening thoroughly, and rearranging 2000 videos that are mostly 3 minutes (sometimes even around 20)

this is an issue that literally only i face and it's destroying my creative process. im currently in the creating stage of my music journey and it's going well but this is going to take weeks to fix. im not upset at any developers or anything obviously. this is only an issue because of my situation which is very unique. but if it's possible to add an option that disables the way the photos get bigger and rearrange, which just keeps them from switching around and keeps them all the same shape, that would be super helpful.

also, because of the amount of videos i have stored on google photos im also a 4 dollar (i think) monthly subscriber which means i am a customer and not a free user if that means anything to you. thank you very much for your time.

I have been getting notices about almost running out storage and it seems most of the data is from my photos, but in 2020, it was announced "All photos and videos you back up in High quality before June 1, 2021 are exempt from this change and will not count toward your Google Account storage." I'm not sure if that is the case for me because the storage manager is recommending I delete some files from before 2021. According to this link, "the storage management tool [is] to review and delete photos and videos that count toward your storage."

Is there a way to confirm my storage usage is accurate and not including content from before June 2021?

I’m sorry, it’s not possible to recover photos permanently deleted from the Google Photos Trash. However, you may install to your Android device a deleted photo recovery app https://play.google.com/store/search?q=recover%20deleted%20photos&c=apps and run a scan for anything to recover.

In addition I recommend that you contact the Google Drive support team to see if any deleted files may be recovered. Just open the Google Drive https://support.google.com/drive/?hl=en&authuser=0#topic=14940&contact=1 contact form, click Missing or deleted files, select a contact option, and be sure to tell them you permanently deleted files in Google Drive.

Once your photos have been permanently deleted then you won't be able to get them back from Google Photos, first you'll need to check to see if they're still in your bin. You can find out how to do this by following the instructions at this link here.

If you took the photos on an Android device -

There are apps that you can use on Android that may be able to restore deleted files, if you click this link here it'll take you a Play Store search for restoring deleted photos, you'll be able can find the highest rated apps to see if they help.

If you took your photos on a IOS device -

When you delete photos from your iOS photos library, iCloud usually conveniently keeps them in a Recently Deleted album in the iOS photos app. You might be able to restore your deleted photos by following these instructions:

Open the Apple photos app (not Google Photos)
Tap Albums at the bottom
Tap Recently Deleted
Select all the photos you'd like to restore
