I am scanning old photos for a friend, she created a shared album for both of us and I am uploading the scanned pictures into that album.
My problem is the fact that the photos aree being added into my collection (private photos) as well, and I don't want them in my account.

Is there anyway to add photos to her album without adding them to my accouunt?

Photos need to be in your account before they can be added to a shared album. There is no way to add photos to her album without adding them to your account.

Your friend can Save the photos to her library after which you can delete your copy. The photos will delete from the album but the saved copy will remain in her account.

Welcome to Google Photos Community Support Forum & thanks for your post.

 

You can achieve that through the elaborate & cumbersome steps mentioned below.

 

Keep the backup & sync switch off for both the work & personal account.

Create two folders on your phone & name those "Work" & "Personal".

 

When you click photos for your work-related activities, move those to the Work folder as soon as you finish the task.

Similarly, move your other pics to the folder named Personal.

 

In the settings of your work account, include the folder "Work" for syncing.

& through the personal ID, select the folder "Personal" for syncing.

 

Once you have sizable content, switch on backup & sync through the respective account.

Switch off that once again after finishing the uploading.

 

Nevertheless, a better idea would be to use two phones for your personal & work activities.
