They wouldn't disappear until you delete them manually by getting into Google Photos. Google Photos is private because it is secured with your Google Account credentials. It shouldn't be a case where some one else has the access to your Google Photos and Google Account, until you haven't shared your login credentials with anyone or someone has access to unlock your lost phone and has accessed the Google Photos app to delete them.

To check is the content is backed up, login in to photos.google.com to checked for your backed up photos and videos with the same Google Account.

I find that the guy "Vish" is not a living entity but the name of a device to which you can cast your pictures in the form of a slideshow.
That may not be a device that you own.

Many a time, the names that our neighbours use to identify their smart TV etc become visible to everyone.

Nevertheless, you will not be able to cast unless you pair your phone with that device.

Further, the connected device option in the setting menu of the phone allows us to delete such unknown devices.

Once done, those will not pop up in the list of devices.

If the phone supports a 360 panorama photos and if you have the Google Photos app on the same phone that supports panorama photos, then you'll be able to view the backed up panorama photo in Google Photos.

But if the panorama photos is backed up to Google Photos and you try to view it on an app from a device that doesn't support panoramic photos, then you'll not be able to view it in Google Photos.

When we delete something from the phone, the sync action in the app removes it from the cloud also & vice versa,

Nevertheless, any deleted picture is retained in the bin for sixty days,

If your delete action is recent, you will find all the items in the bin. The bin icon becomes visible in the library view. Tap that & recover everything available in the bin.

However, if your delete action has already crossed sixty days, or you have emptied the bin inadvertently, there is no way to recover anything through Google Photos.

However, you may install to your Android device a deleted photo recovery app (be sure to not pick one that requires rooting) https://play.google.com/store/search?q=recover%20deleted%20photos&c=apps

Also, nothing can be found using the search page. But still Google Photo storage calculator shows more than 4GB used space by Photo Library.

Hello Gerard Oleński,

Head over to https://one.google.com/storage/management and check if the storage is in any of the trash places, or large files in Gmail, Drive & Photos, or just below in Unsupported videos. This should give a clue on where the storage is being used.

Up until the 31st May you can Recover storage at https://photos.google.com/settings to reduce the storage used by Google Photos to zero.

From June 1st new HQ uploads will use storage at a reduced size, HQ upload before June 1st remain free

many thanks for the answer. I've already checked all those places in https://one.google.com/storage/management and unfortunately, there are no photos left. And still, there are more than 4GB of storage used by the Google Photos library. I've also added the screenshots which show it.

Yes, I will escalate it. The return of the Recover storage has only ever been associated with corrupt or unsupported videos, but as you have never uploaded any then it is quite a mystery.

No photos are showing in the Android Google Photos App on my Pixel 4a. I can see the pictures in a chrome web browser at photos.google.com. I used to be able to see the pictures in the Android App, but now it is empty. I tried settings - apps - photos - storage - clear cache and storage. After opening Photos App again it asked me to set my backup preference. It also said "getting your photos" or something like that and I could see the photos in the app briefly, but after the getting photos was done the photos all disappeared and the screen shows no photos (mainly a blank white screen) .

Hi, according to my phone settings, I am using 24% of my available storage (30.31GB out of 128GB). Also, according to my phone settings, I have not activated data saver, battery saver, or super saver (by super saver I assume you are talking about 'extreme battery saver').

My issue somehow resolved itself after waiting for some time and re-opening the photos app. I am not sure what caused the issue to get resolved.

Google auto-creates assistant cards for you. It is a feature. In case, you do need them, you can always a stop seeing them by managing your assistant cards settings. Here are the steps you can follow:

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
Sign in to your Google Account.
At the top left, tap Menu .
Select Settings Assistant cards.
On the Assistant card you want to turn off, tap to turn the switch off.

There is no straightforward way to determine how many pictures are there in an album or some search result.
However, you can find the number this way.

Type your search term in the text box.
Once the results are visible, long-press the first pic in the result till a tick appears on that.
Next, while still in pressed condition, stroke down through the collection to reach the bottom.
You will see the count of pictures you selected through this process at the top.

Could you please elaborate the issue or your query for me to assist you better? If you've deleted it from Google Photos and want to restore them, please know that photos/videos deleted from the Google Photos library, goes to the Trash for the next 60 days. So, in case, you deleted it by mistake you can always restore it from Trash folder within those 60 days (post deletion). But, if you don't find it in Trash, probably it must have been deleted more that 60 days ago. Unfortunately, restoring your lost/deleted photos and videos from Trash is the last resort.

With normal (personal) Gmail-accounts it would be most comfortable to set-up partnersharing, but I am very unsure if that is possible with some Gsuite-account or something alike - I don't think so because Google Photos is for personal use only.

The Google Photos app works like a portal viewer & shows the pics available in the phone's memory & cloud storage as well.

Even if nothing is there in the phone's memory, the app will continue to show the ones already backed up

To restore the pics to the gallery, either, you can download photos one by one. Regrettably, there is no option to do so on a batch of photos.

Alternatively, you can install the Google One app there is a one time option to restore up to two hundred most recent photos to the device.

However, the local folder structure can not be restored.

To do so, there is no requirement to join Google One, the option is available to everyone.

However, the method may not be effective to recover something when the count is more than two hundred.

Or, you can arrange for a bulk download by visiting the link https://takeout.google.com/ 

Select the Google Photos app for data download.

Once the file is ready, you will get an email. Access that & unzip all the attachments into your phone's gallery.

That will bring everything to your phone.
