HAPPENING NOW: Trump Officially Ends Another Disastrous Obama Immigration Policy

On Friday, President Trump signed a memo ordering agencies to "expeditiously end" the Obama-era

"catch and release" program that allows illegals caught in the U.S. to be released

while their cases play out in court.

The memo signed by Trump orders the Department of Homeland Security, in coordination with

other agencies, to submit a report to the president within 45 days "detailing all

measures that their respective departments have pursued or are pursuing to expeditiously

end 'catch and release' practices."

The report instructs departments to share information on any contracts to construct

or operate detention facilities along the border as well as steps taken to assign asylum

officers at detention facilities, among other measures.

As part of the order, Trump is requesting "a detailed list of all existing facilities,

including military facilities, that could be used, modified, or repurposed to detain

aliens for violations of immigration law at or near the borders of the United States."

Trump has also directed Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen

Nielsen to identify any other resources or steps "that may be needed to expeditiously

end 'catch and release' practices."

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders characterized catch and release, the

practice of paroling detained immigrants who await a court's determination on their status,

as "dangerous."

"The safety and security of the American people is the President's highest priority,

and he will keep his promise to protect our country and to ensure that our laws are respected,"

she said in a statement.

"At the same time, the President continues to call on congressional Democrats to cease

their staunch opposition to border security and to stop blocking measures that are vital

to the safety and security of the United States," she added.

A fire at Trump Tower in New York City killed one man Saturday night and injured six firefighters.

The fire engulfed a large apartment on the 50th floor.

At the time the building was constructed, the city didn't require every unit have sprinklers,

so this unit didn't have one.

President Donald Trump has a home in the tower, but no one was there at the time of the fire.

Firefighting crews reportedly checked in on the unit and said it seemed fine.

The president tweeted a thank you message to New York City firefighters.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.

Trump Tower fire: One dead, four New York City firefighters hurt Crews responded Saturday

evening to a fire at Trump Tower in New York that killed one man and injured four firefighters,

city officials said.

The man, 67, whose name was not released pending notification of family, was taken to a hospital

but later died of his injuries, said Officer George Tsourovakas, a New York Police Department

spokesman.

An investigation is under way.

Four firefighters also were injured as they battled the blaze on the 50th floor, including

two who were burned.

Their injuries are not life threatening, according to New York City Fire Department officials.

The fire started in a large apartment on the 50th floor, and when firefighters responded

about 5:30 p.m. ET, the entire unit was engulfed, said Daniel Nigro, commissioner of the New

York City Fire Department.

"Members pushed in heroically.

They were knocking down the fire and found one occupant of the apartment," he said, adding

crews had a hard time battling the fire because it was up 50 stories and in a large unit.

About 200 firefighters and emergency medical services officials were called to the scene,

Nigro said.

New York City did not mandate sprinklers in every unit and common hallways of new residential

buildings until March 1999 when then-Mayor Rudy Giulini signed council legislation.

That was well after the opening of Trump Tower in February 1983.

The upper floors of Trump Tower, which are have 263 apartments, do not have sprinklers,

Nigro told Spectrum News NY1, the 24-hour cable-TV news channel that serves New York's

five boroughs.

Before moving to the White House, the tower that President Trump developed was his main

home.

He and his family own an apartment, which Forbes estimated as being more than 10,000

square feet and spans three floors.

Trump's penthouse is on floors labeled 66 through 68, meaning the fire occurred more

than 10 levels below Trump's home.

The tower really has 58 floors.

While in the building, crews checked on Trump's home, which was unharmed, Nigro said.

Smoke had spread throughout much of the building but it was unclear if any seeped into Trump's

penthouse.

No members of the first family were in the building during the incident, he said.

Onlookers outside Trump Tower took photos and video of the blaze as it grew, flames

and smoke billowing from several high-rise windows.

Some footage showed debris falling hundreds of feet to the street.

The president tweeted about the blaze, commending the firefighters who responded.

He said the fire had been extinguished but fire officials remained at the scene for several

hours due to the heavy smoke.

"Fire at Trump Tower is out," he wrote.

"Very confined (well built building).

Firemen (and women) did a great job.

THANK YOU!"

The first 19 floors of the building are commercial businesses, according to The New York Times.

Much of the rest of the building is used as homes, but the high prices mean that celebrities

and the city's elite are the ones who can afford to live there.

The tower has a history of attracting some high-profile tenants, including Michael Jackson,

Johnny Carson and Bruce Willis.

Paul Manafort, Trump's former campaign manager who is facing charges in the special prosecutor's

probe, is one apartment owner.

Eric Trump, one of the president's sons who also helps head The Trump Organization with

headquarters in the tower, tweeted out his thanks to firefighters who tamed the fire.

"Thank you to the amazing men and women of the NYFD who extinguished a fire in a residential

apartment at @TrumpTower," Eric Trump posted on Twitter.

"The @FDNY and @NYPD are truly some of the most incredible people anywhere!"

In January, another fire at Trump Tower injured three people, two civilians and a firefighter.

It started in the building's rooftop heating and air conditioning system and left smoke

billowing from the roof.

All the injuries then were not life threatening.

One person was killed and four firefighters were injured in a four-alarm fire at Trump

Tower on Saturday, according to the New York City Fire Department,

The person who died was a resident of the building's 50th floor who had been taken to

the hospital in critical condition, department spokeswoman Angelica Conroy told CNN,

Firefighters are at the scene of a blaze at Trump Tower in New York, where black smoke

and flames has been seen billowing from the building.

The New York Fire Department (NYFD) said one civilian was reportedly seriously injured.

Three firefighters have also suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the service said on Twitter.

US President Donald Trump has a home and an office in the building, but is currently in

Washington.

The fire was reported to be on the 50th floor of the high-rise, which contains apartments

and office space.

Around 45 minutes later the president tweeted that the fire was out, and had been "very

confined" as the tower is a "well-built building".

Streets surrounding the building in Midtown Manhattan have been closed off.

A spokeswoman for First Lady Melania Trump confirmed that she and their son Barron Trump

were also in Washington.

Mr Trump's son Eric tweeted that the fire had been at a "residential apartment" and

thanked the "incredible" NYFD for their response.

quietly spent at least $9 million in U.S. Taxpayer dollars , when he colluded with left-wing

billionaire George Soros in an effort to support the government of Albania . Fitton also added

money from the already overburdened American Taxpayer in order to advance his radical-left

agenda in order to undermine the will of free people here, or abroad.

Judicial Watch obtained these records through FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests,

which confirmed that the $9 million was used specifically to give the socialist Albanian

government greater control of the country's judiciary system, not unlike what Barack Obama

did to the U.S. judicial system here in the U.S.

More on this via Fox News : "But Judicial Watch said the records revealed , that the

State Department gave Soros' Open Society Foundation "direct input" for its own

program funding reviews in Albania.

One report, from Feb. 10, 2017 on "Engagement with the Open Society Foundation for Albania"

stated that "as one of the major assistance providers in Albania, representatives for

the Open Society Foundation are frequently asked to participate in technical reviews

of applications that we receive for funding."

That report noted , that the Embassy's public affairs section "has not received any funds

from the Open Society Foundation to support any projects or activities," and that the

public affairs section "has not provided any funds to the Open Society Foundation to

support their projects or activities."

"For decades, there has been broad bipartisan agreement in Washington, DC on the need to

promote democracy and human rights abroad.

Of late there has been an unfortunate and misguided effort to politicize this process,"

a spokesperson for the Open Society Foundation said in a statement to Fox News .

"The Open Society Foundations and the U.S.

Government shared an interest in helping Albania and other similarly situated countries transition

from communism and democracy, and in promoting an independent judiciary."

The spokesperson added: "As the State Department stated in the documents Judicial Watch cited,

the US embassy in Tirana 'has not received any funds from the Open Society Foundation

to support any projects or activities,' nor has it 'provided any funds to the Open

Society Foundation to support their projects or activities."

But another memo obtained by Judicial Watch from April 2016 shows that the U.S. Embassy

in Tirana "sponsored" a survey along with Soros's Open Society Foundation to measure

Albanian citizens' "knowledge, support, and expectations on justice reform."

The poll, according to Judicial Watch, did not specify the type of reform the Soros group

was seeking, but the survey reported that 91 percent of respondents either "fully

support" or "somewhat support" the need for judicial reform in Albania.

Records dated February 2017 show that , the State Department used taxpayer funds to co-sponsor

a second poll with the Open Society Foundation.

"The Public Affairs Section and the Open Society Foundation Survey each provided funding

to a local organization to conduct a public opinion poll on attitudes toward the Judicial

Reform effort," the February report, reviewed by Fox News, read."

Although the United States gives billions in foreign aid to help poor countries establish

democracies and judicial systems what Soros ; open society did in Albania was funnel U.S

.

Taxpayer dollars to promote socialism and communism in Albania . This undermines longstanding

U.S. Foreign policy . But what is perhaps the worst part is that Obama just handed over

the

money to Soros .

so he could distribute it as he saw fit, and since we

all know very well , who this former Nazi Youth member is, we know the money didn't

President Trump came out swinging Saturday afternoon, slamming the DOJ and FBI for stonewalling

efforts by the House Judiciary Committee.

Alhough, there have been key victories in recent days, such as Nunes being granted access

to FISA warrants related to the surveillance of Carter Page, Trump says that still is not

enough PRESIDENT TRUMP SLAMS THE DOJ AND FBI

There is a plethora of documents the House Judiciary Committee has not yet received from

the FBI and DOJ that were supposed be in their possession by the Thursday, April 5th deadline.

Instead, the committee that headed by Congressman Bob Goodlatte, is up in arms as to when they

will receive the documents.

And President Trump is NOT happy, as he now suspects the DOJ and FBI is hiding something

important.

Trump said:

"Lawmakers of the House Judiciary Committee are angrily accusing the Department of Justice

of missing the Thursday Deadline for turning over UNREDACTED Documents relating to FISA

abuse, FBI, Comey, Lynch, McCabe, Clinton Emails and much more.

Slow walking – what is going on?

Why aren't they giving the strongly requested documents (unredacted) to the HOUSE JUDICIARY

COMMITTEE?

What Are They Hiding??

Just like if a citizen were being investigated for a crime, it would raise red flags to investigators

if requested documents weren't handed over by the one in question.

And as more information comes pouring out, it is apparent that both the FBI and DOJ have

strong interest in protecting Obama and Hillary, and laced with an Anti-Trump motivations.

This is a key time for the DOJ and FBI to get the ball moving and do what's right.

The longer they wait, the more suspicious they look.
