was visiting abroad like when she wore Kenzo on a trip to Japan in May 2015

Melania Trump hasn't really embraced that approach in Asia opting to with her

'He's begging for WAR!' Kim BREAKS SILENCE over Trump's Asia tour - DAILY NEWS - Duration: 3:02.

'He's begging for WAR!' Kim BREAKS SILENCE over Trump's Asia tour

KIM JONG-UN has broken his silence over US

President Donald Trump's first trip to Asia, threatening to spark World War 3.

In a statement carried by North Korea's state news agency today, Trump's visit to Asia has

been described as showing he is a "destroyer" who is begging for war.

"Trump made his conceived attempt yet again to alienate our people from the government,"

the Hermit State's foreign ministry spokesman said.

He added: "Trump, during his visit, laid bare his true nature as destroyer of world

peace and stability and begged for a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula."

The state-run news agency also blasted Trump's visit a "business trip" in a report, claiming

Washington intends to "demonize" Pyongyang to spark international tensions.

It said: "His current trip to our surrounding region is a warmonger's visit for confrontation

to rid the DPRK of its self-defensive nuclear deterrence.

"The DPRK's possession of nuclear weapons was a righteous and inevitable choice to defend

our national sovereignty and dignity and our people's rights to existence and development

from increased nuclear threats and blackmail by the U.S. and its hostile moves against

the DPRK.

The war of words between Trump and nuke-nut Kim has been threatening to boil over into

an all-out war.

The North's relentless testing of missiles of nuclear bombs, coupled with threats to

turn the US into a "sea of fire", has left the world holding its breath.

But Trump's Asia tour, which started in South Korea and is now in Vietnam, has risked Kim's

outrage – especially after Trump used his visit to the South to warn Kim: "Do not try

us".

The leader of the free-world said in his speech: "I hope I speak not only for our countries,

but for all civilized nations, when I say to the North: Do not underestimate us, and

do not try us.

"We will defend our common security, our shared prosperity, and our sacred liberty."

He added: "America does not seek conflict or confrontation, but we will never run from

it.

"History is filled with discarded regimes that have foolishly tested America's resolve."

Trump's tour of Asia will end in the Phillipines on Monday before he heads back to Washington

amid fears Kim will test his resolve yet again with a nuclear test.

Donald Trump demands Russia acts to stop North Korea war as he plays Putin against China - Duration: 3:11.

Donald Trump demands Russia acts to stop North Korea war as he plays Putin against China

The US President said China is helping to deal with Kim Jong-un's regime, but extra assistance from the Russians would "make the problem go away a lot faster".  Speaking shortly before his arrival in Hanoi today, Mr Trump described his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping as "a good man" who "wants to do right" when it comes to dealing with the nuclear-armed rogue state.

But the American leader said although he had a good relationship with Mr Putin, Russia "could really help" in North Korea. He said: "We have a big problem with North Korea and China is helping us.

If Russia helped us in addition to China that problem would go away a lot faster. The President told reporters he had "two or three short conversations" with the Russian premier on the sidelines of the APEC summit yesterday, a major event attended by leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region.  Mr Trump said their brief talks had quickly led to an agreement to tackle Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists in Syria.    And he added the pair have a "warm feeling for each other".

Following their brief meetings, the Russian leader lamented the two had little time to talk but said they had managed to "discuss all we wanted".

He also played up his personal relationship with Mr Trump, saying their interactions were "highly civil", before praising him as "an educated person" who is "comfortable to deal with".

Mr Trump said the agreement to combat ISIS is "going to save tremendous numbers of lives". He said: We spoke intermittently during that roundtable. .

"We seem to have a very good feeling for each other and a good relationship considering we dont know each other well." The US leader landed in Hanoi earlier today in the latest leg of his 12-day Asian tour and was greeted by crowds waving Vietnamese and US flags.  He will spend the day in the former capital of North Vietnam before flying to the Philippines to meet with controversial President Rodrigo Duterte.

The firebrand leader has faced fierce criticism for his hardline tactics in a crackdown on drug dealers and suppliers in the country and yesterday admitted he had stabbed someone to death at the age of 16. .

Putin and Trump vow to MERGE POWERS and destroy ISIS 'once and for all' - Duration: 4:28.

Putin and Trump vow to MERGE POWERS and destroy ISIS 'once and for all'

Speaking during a summit of Asian Pacific leaders in Vietnam, President Trump said the Russian president was "insulted" by claims his country had interfered in the US election.

And he said it would be "a great thing to have a good relationship with Russia" because it could help tackle rogue state North Korea.

In a joint statement, both leaders said "successful US-Russia" military efforts have "dramatically accelerated" Islamic State's territorial losses.   "These efforts will continue until the final defeat of Islamic State," added the statement.

They agreed that "there is no military solution" to the bloody six-year civil war and committed to bringing the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad to the peace process in Geneva.

Russia has run a major bombing campaign in Syria since 2015 when it stepped in to support Assad's fight against rebels – some of them US-backed – and tipped the conflict in his favour.

With the two nations backing competing factions in the conflict, last night's agreement over the next steps towards peace was said to be significant.

While Russian support has kept Assad in power, helping President Putin expand Russian influence across the region, the US is now seeking to have a louder voice in any plan to help the nation recover from years of civil war.

Though there was no official bilateral meeting, Mr Trump and Mr Putin were seen sharing cordial handshakes and brief conversations three times during the summit.   Afterwards President Trump said the agreement would save "tremendous numbers of lives".

"We did it very quickly," he added.   Referring to President Putin he said: "We seem to have a very good feeling for each other, a good relationship considering we don't know each other well.

"  President Putin later described Mr Trump as "a well-mannered person and comfortable to deal with". He added: "We know each other little, but the US president is highly civil in his behaviour, friendly.

We have a normal dialogue but unfortunately little time."  It was the first time the pair had met since the G20 summit in July, following a period of heightened diplomatic tensions over allegations that Moscow meddled in last year's US presidential elections.  A probe by special counsel Robert Mueller has accused Mr Trump's former campaign aides of secretly meeting Kremlin-connected officials, a charge Russia denies.  President Putin branded the claims of political meddling as "fantasies" aimed at undermining Mr Trump's presidency.  President Trump said he was satisfied by President Putin's repeated assurance that Moscow played no part in swaying last year's elections. .

"I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it," he said.  "I think he's very insulted by it, which is not a good thing for our country."  And he highlighted that Russia could assist in one of the main foreign policy issues challenging the US today – North Korea.  "It would be a great thing to have a good relationship with Russia," President Trump said.  "He could really help us in North Korea.

If Russia helped us in addition to China that problem would go away a lot faster.".

Donald Trump, Who's In Asia, Says Will Never Call N. Korea's KJU 'Short And Fat'. - Duration: 11:19.

Donald Trump, Who's In Asia, Says Will Never Call North Korea's Kim Jong-Un 'Short And

Fat'.

. Hanoi, Vietnam: US President Donald Trump

unleashed a twitter storm from his Asia tour on Sunday, slamming "haters and fools" who

question his efforts to improve ties with Russia and taking a sarcastic dig at North

Korea's "short and fat" leader Kim Jong-Un.

Currently on the Vietnam leg of a five-nation sweep through the region, the US president,

who has been relatively quiet on Twitter since leaving Washington, put out half a dozen tweets

in quick succession ahead of his official welcoming ceremony in Hanoi.

The missives covered a range of targets and subjects -- from the critics of his desire

for a close relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin to China's efforts to rein

in Pyongyang's nuclear weapons programme.

And they ended with a tongue-in-cheek tweet about his efforts to make "a friend" of North

Korea's Kim.

"When will all the haters and fools out there realise that having a good relationship with

Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing," wrote the US president, who met with Putin

several times on the margins of the just concluded APEC summit in the Vietnamese resort of Danang.

"There (sic) always playing politics - bad for our country.

I want to solve North Korea, Syria, Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can greatly help!" he

added.

Speaking to reporters on Air Force One while flying to Hanoi on Saturday, Trump had said

he believed Putin was being sincere when he denied meddling in the 2016 US presidential

election.

'He didn't meddle'.

Trump, whose key former aides are under US investigation for possible collaboration with

the Kremlin, said he had repeatedly asked Putin about the claims during their chats

in Danang.

"He (Putin) said he didn't meddle.

I asked him again," Trump said.

"I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it."

In May, US intelligence chiefs told Congress they agreed with their analysts' conclusion

that Russia had meddled in the election.

And in January, 17 US intelligence agencies took the extraordinary step of stating publicly

that they believed Russia did try to interfere.

In a statement to CNN after Trump's remarks on Air Force One, CIA director Mike Pompeo,

who was appointed by Trump, said he still believed in that evaluation.

Immediately after his Twitter tirade on Sunday, Trump was greeted by a guard of honour and

flag-waving schoolchildren at a damp welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi's

historic French quarter.

The US leader was meeting the top communist leadership Sunday for talks that could touch

on Vietnam's gaping trade deficit and beefing up military support in the disputed South

China Sea, which Beijing claims most of.

Trump's Sunday tweets also focused on North Korea and its nuclear weapons ambitions that

have been a dominant theme on each leg of his Asia tour.

'Short and fat'.

Taking exception to descriptions by North Korean officials and state media of him as

an "old" man, Trump suggested he was disappointed by what he took to be a personal attack from

the North's young leader.

"Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me "old," when I would NEVER call him "short

and fat?" Trump said.

"Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!" he added.

North Korea is extremely sensitive to any remarks -- even when not meant seriously -- that

might appear disrespectful of the country' ruling Kim dynasty, whose members are revered

as near deities.

Since becoming president, Trump has engaged in an escalating war of words with Kim, trading

personal insults and threats of military strikes and raising concerns about an outbreak of

hostilities.

Over the past week, Trump has urged Asian leaders to take a united front against the

threat posed by the isolated North, warning at APEC that the region "must not be held

hostage to a dictator's twisted fantasies".

Late Saturday, Pyongyang hit back, calling his Asia trip "a warmonger's visit for confrontation"

and saying it would only serve to accelerate Pyongyang's push for nuclear statehood.

In another tweet Sunday, Trump said Chinese leader Xi Jinping had agreed to toughen sanctions

against North Korea, whose impoverished economy is hugely reliant on trade with its giant

neighbour.

"President Xi of China has stated that he is upping the sanctions against (North Korea).

Said he wants them to denuclearise.

Progress is being made," he wrote.

The US administration thinks China's economic leverage over North Korea is the key to strong-arming

Pyongyang into halting its nuclear weapons and missile programmes.

. .

Trump Attacks Kim Jong Un In Bizarre Twitter Rant: 'I Would Never Call Him Short And

Fat.'

. He also blasts those suspicious of his Russian

relationships as "haters and fools."

President Donald Trump launched into a wild Twitter rant on Saturday after a statement

from North Korea referred to him as an "old lunatic."

"Why would Kim Jong Un insult me by calling me 'old,' when I would NEVER call him

'short and fat?'," Trump wrote on Twitter.

The president has, however, repeatedly referred to the North Korean leader as a "little

rocket man."

"I try so hard to be his friend," the president added.

Trump's Twitter tantrum, which occurred while the president was traveling in Vietnam,

was apparently in reference to comments made earlier in the day on state media from North

Korea's Foreign Ministry calling the president an "old lunatic" and a "warmonger."

It's not the first time Pyongyang has described Trump as such.

Earlier in the week, North Korean state media called Trump a "lunatic old man."

Trump reserved some of his own choicest insults Saturday for those — apparently Americans

— suspicious of his relationship with Russia, calling them "haters and fools."

He also took digs at Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Both Trump and Kim Jong Un have exchanged insults in the past.

Trump has repeatedly called Kim a "little rocket man."

And, in September, Kim memorably called Trump a "dotard," sending hordes of curious

Americans to the web to search for the definition, and the word trended on Twitter.

"I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged dotard with fire," Kim said in

a statement released by the North Korean government.

Journalist Jihye Lee said the Korean statement actually used a term that could more accurately

be translated as "old beast lunatic," but it became "dotard" in the English

version released by North Korea.

. .

In Vietnam, Trump blasts critics on Russia as 'haters,' appears to call North Korean

leader 'short and fat'.

. President Donald Trump on Sunday ridiculed

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un as "short and fat," and he lashed out at critics of

his relationship with Russia's leader, saying they are "haters and fools" who don't understand

the merits of a good relationship with Moscow.

The morning tweetstorm came as Trump prepared for bilateral meetings with Vietnamese leaders,

including a scheduled news conference where he could face more questions about the topics

he addressed on Twitter.

Trump's taunt of Kim came after the North Korean leader again called him a "dotard,"

a term describing an old person who is losing his mental faculties.

Trump, 71, sarcastically responded that he hopes one day to be friends with Kim, who

oversees a developing nuclear weapons and ballistic missile arsenal.

"Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me 'old,' when I would NEVER call him 'short

and fat?'

Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!"

Trump also returned to a favorite theme of bashing critics who have accused him of being

soft on Russia in the wake of special counsel Robert Mueller's ongoing investigation into

his campaign's ties to Russian officials and possible attempts at collusion.

Trump has denied that his campaign coordinated in any way with Moscow during last year's

presidential campaign, and he said Saturday that Russian President Vladimir Putin again

denied any involvement in trying to influence the US elections when Trump spoke with him

at a regional summit in Danang, Vietnam.

"When will all the haters and fools out there realize that having a good relationship with

Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing.

There always playing politics - bad for our country.

I want to solve North Korea, Syria, Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can greatly help!"

On Twitter, Trump also slammed President Barack Obama and former secretary of state Hillary

Clinton for failing to improve relations with Russia.

"Does the Fake News Media remember when Crooked Hillary Clinton, as Secretary of State, was

begging Russia to be our friend with the misspelled reset button?

Obama tried also, but he had zero chemistry with Putin."

The president's remarks in a wide-ranging talk with reporters on Air Force One en route

to Hanoi on Saturday and in his Sunday morning tweets have sharply punctured the careful

messaging he and his aides had sought to deliver on a five-nation, 12-day trip through Asia.

Trump will travel to Manila, Philippines on Sunday evening for two days of regional conferences

and a bilateral meeting with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

Donald Trump's Asia tour: Philippines protesters clashing with police in Manila ahead of visit

Riot police used water canons to prevent hundreds of protesters reaching the US embassy in Manila,

just a few hours before the arrival of US President Donald Trump in the Philippines

for a regional summit and the last leg of his Asia tour.

Carrying placards declaring "Dump Trump" and "Down with US Imperialism", the left-wing

protesters were blocked by police in riot gear with shields and batons, and then showered

with jets of water from a fire engine.

"Trump is the CEO of the imperialist government of the US," said 18-year-old student Alexis

Danday after the protesters were scattered.

"We know he is here to push for unfair treaties between the Philippines and the US."

Mr Trump arrived in the Philippines at about 5:00pm (local time) for meetings with leaders

of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and other East Asian nations, fresh

off an Asia-Pacific summit and bilateral visit in Vietnam.

The US President joined Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and other regional leaders

for a gala event celebrating the 50th anniversary of ASEAN.

In Hanoi earlier on Sunday, the US President said he was prepared to mediate between claimants

to the South China Sea, where four ASEAN countries and Taiwan contest China's sweeping claims

to the busy waterway.

"If I can help mediate or arbitrate, please let me know," Mr Trump said at a meeting with

Vietnam's President, Tran Dai Quang.

"I'm a very good mediator and arbitrator."

In August, foreign ministers of South-East Asia and China adopted a negotiating framework

for a code of conduct in the South China Sea, a move they hailed as progress but one seen

by critics as a tactic to buy China time to consolidate its power.

The framework seeks to advance a 2002 Declaration of Conduct (DOC) of Parties in the South China

Sea, which has mostly been ignored by claimant states, particularly China, which has built

seven man-made islands in disputed waters, three of them equipped with runways, surface-to-air

missiles and radars.

In August Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop, along with US Secretary of State Rex

Tillerson and Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono, urged the countries to make sure the

code of conduct would be legally binding.

The framework will be endorsed by China and the 10 nations of ASEAN in Manila on Monday,

a diplomat from one of the regional bloc's countries said.

Trump's last stop on marathon Asia tour

The Philippines will be Mr Trump's last stop on a marathon tour that has taken him to Japan,

South Korea, China and Vietnam.

Despite Mr Trump's "America First" policy, the visit should provide some reassurance

that Washington remains committed to a region that Beijing sees as its strategic domain.

The increasing use of the phrase "Indo-Pacific" by Mr Trump and his team during their Asian

tour this week, instead of the more common "Asia-Pacific" term, has been seen by analysts

as an effort to depict the region as more than China-dominated.

Pacific Rim nation leaders agreed in Vietnam on Saturday to address "unfair trade practices"

and "market distorting subsidies", a statement that bore the imprint of Mr Trump's efforts

to reshape the global trade landscape.

The summit of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) countries in Vietnam put on show the

contrasting vision of the America First policy with the traditional consensus favouring multinational

deals that China now seeks to champion.

Mr Trump will hold talks with Mr Duterte in Manila, where he will try to shore up relations

strained by Mr Duterte's notorious anti-US sentiment and his enthusiasm for better ties

with Russia and China.

Others who will be in Manila for the summit meetings include Chinese Premier Li Keqiang,

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and leaders from Japan, Canada, South Korea, India,

Australia, New Zealand as well as the member states of ASEAN.

Report Trump Rejected 5 Women Sent to Hotel Room, "We Don't Do That Type of Stuff" Bodyguard Says - Duration: 4:53.

Report: Trump Rejected 5 Women Sent to Hotel Room, We Dont Do That Type of Stuff

Bodyguard Says.

BY BEN MARQUIS.

Ever since it was made public by BuzzFeed News in January, there has been plenty of

discussion about the dossier compiled by a former British spy on behalf of Democrat-aligned

political opposition research firm, Fusion GPS.

It leveled all sorts of unproven allegations against President Donald Trump.

Trumps longtime bodyguard and chief of security Keith Schiller was called before

the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday for a four hour, closed door hearing, where

he testified under oath about a number of issues, including the dossier, CNN reported.

Schiller either denied or couldnt recall any of the accusations put forward in the

dossier, despite repeated and repetitive questions from his congressional interlocutors.

NBC News reported that Schiller explicitly denied one of the more salacious allegations

in the dossier.

It claimed Russian hookers were sent to Trumps hotel room during a trip to Moscow in 2013,

where they were said to have engaged in certain activities that were caught on tape and held

as blackmail by the Russians.

In Moscow for the Miss Universe pageant, it was claimed that a Russian participant in

the event informed Schiller that he would be sending five women to Trumps room

for his entertainment, but Schiller testified that he rejected that offer.

We dont do that type of stuff, Schiller stated, according to two sources familiar

with his testimony before the committee.

Schiller recalled telling Trump about the offer later in the day and noted how they

both laughed it off as ridiculous.

He testified that Trump went to bed alone that evening with Schiller posted outside

his room for a time before retiring for the night himself.

Though he admitted that he didnt know if anything had occurred after he had left his

post outside the room, he nevertheless testified under oath that he was confident nothing happened,

certainly nothing involving Russian prostitutes.

Schiller also made sure to note that Trump was always well aware that he could be under

surveillance at any time, and made a habit of warning his associates to always be careful

of what they said and did, particularly in a foreign country.

It was also reported that Schiller testified to his reaction upon first seeing the Russian

prostitute allegation put forward in the dossier, in which he claimed to have stated, Oh

my God, thats bullsh**.

It is worth noting that Schillers rejection of the prostitutes is not a new story, but

was first reported by The Daily Caller back in January, shortly after the dossier was

first made public.

At that time, an unnamed adviser to Trump was asked about the contents of the dossier,

particularly about the Russian prostitutes.

That adviser told the reporter that he knew for a fact that the supposed incident never

occurred, and named Russian pop star Emin Alagarov as the individual who sent the women

up to Trumps room.

Emin was the son of Russian billionaire oligarch Aras Alagarov, who had partnered with Trump

to host the 2013 Miss Universe pageant in Moscow.

When Schiller received word of Emins offer, he flatly rejected it and posted guards outside

Trumps room to ensure nobody entered.

Based upon Schillers testimony, it would appear that he then took over for those guards

at the end of the evening when Trump had gone to bed, alone.

Once again, we see one of the anti-Trump medias narratives utterly blown out of the water.

They have tried repeatedly to smear Trump as some sort of womanizing sexist, the sort

who would take full advantage of Russian hookers sent to his hotel room.

But unless Trumps most trusted associate and former chief of security just lied under

oath to Congress, none of that ever happened, and wouldnt have happened, as We dont

do that type of stuff.

Please share this story on Facebook and Twitter to let everyone know that Keith Schiller just

shot down a big part of the anti-Trump dossier while testifying under oath

to Congress.

veterans that are here today it's such an honor to represent the rest of those

veterans in the United States of America thank you well I just want to thank

good intentions toward the

United States and there

shouldn't be any illusions about

that.

And our president fosters that

ambiguity.

>> The president also called

both of and you FBI director

Comey political hacks.

All three of you worked in

senior levels in the Obama

administration.

Although you also worked during

the bush administration.

How do you respond to the

charge?

>> First of all, he was

referring to us as political

hacks because he was trying to

delegitimize the assessment

done.

They did not write that

assessment.

It was written by the

professional intelligence

officers and law enforcement

officers of this great country.

Secondly, I -- feel very honored

to be associated with Jim

clapper and Jim Comey in the

same category.

And considering the source of

the criticism, I consider that

criticism a badge of honor.

And third, I found it

particularly reprehensible that

on veterans day that Donald

Trump would attack and impugn

the integrity and the character

of Jim clapper, who served in

uniform for 35 years.

Who responded to the call of his

country to go to Vietnam, flew

in over 70 combat support

missions over Vietnam.

And like senator McCain, really

did put his life at risk because

of this country's national

security.

And to impugn Jim clapper on

veterans day, who has dedicated

so much of his life to this

country, I just find that

outrageous, and I think it's

something Mr. Trump should be

ashamed of, but it doesn't seem

as though anything he does he

feels any shame whatsoever.

>> What is the effect of these

attacks, not on you two or Jim

Comey, but on other people in

the FBI, in the CIA and the NSA?

People who are still there, who

worked under you and are still

there working to try to make the

country safer?

>> First, I have to reciprocate

what an honor it has been to

serve with the likes of John

Brennan and Jim Comey, who are

dedicated public servants.

And have served this country

long and well and with great

integrity.

I think it can't have a

positive -- cannot have a

positive impact on the morale or

the work force of the

intelligence community.

But I do believe in my heart

that the men and women of the

intelligence community will

continue to convey truth to

power, even if the power ignores

the truth.

>> At one point, president trump

said he thinks Vladimir Putin is

insulted by the suggestion and

the conclusion by the

intelligence agencies that

Russia interfered in the U.S.

Election.

What do you make of his bringing

up Putin feels insulted?

>> I think Mr. Putin is very

clever in terms of playing to

Mr. Trump's interest in being

flattered.

And also I think Mr. Trump is,

for whatever reason, intimidated

by Mr. Putin, afraid of what he

could do or what might come out

as a result of these

investigations.

So it's very worrisome.

And I think it sends a

worrisome -- very disturbing

signal to our allies and

partners who are concerned about

Russian interference in their

democratic processes, as well.

US president Donald Trump in bizarre 'short and fat' tweet about Kim Jong-un... - Duration: 15:24.

Trump says North Korea's Kim insulted him by calling him 'old'.

US President Donald Trump said in a tweet that North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un had

insulted him by calling him "old" and said he would never call Kim "short and

fat."

Trump made the comment Sunday morning after attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation

(APEC) summit in Vietnam.

In a series of tweets he also said Chinese President Xi Jinping was "upping sanctions"

on North Korea in response to its nuclear and missile programs and that Xi wants Pyongyang

to "denuclearize."

Trump tweeted: "Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me 'old,' when I would NEVER

call him 'short and fat?'

Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!"

Trump has traded insults and threats with Kim in the past amid escalating tensions over

Pyongyang's nuclear and missile programs.

. .

Donald Trump just took the high road in a war of words with the leader of North Korea

... just kidding -- he called him short and fat.

The Prez responded to Kim Jong Un calling him old and threatening nuclear war by dishing

out an insult Saturday night (Sunday morning for Trump, who's currently in Vietnam), posting

on Twitter ... "Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me 'old,' when I would NEVER

call him 'short and fat?'"

Trump went on, sarcastically claiming he's tried hard to be the North Korean leader's

friend and saying "maybe someday that will happen!"

Trump's jab appears to be his response to Jong Un referring to the President as a "dotard"

who "begged for nuclear war" during his tour of Asia ... which he's still on.

Or, it could be from North Korea's state-run media calling Trump a "lunatic old man."

Take your pick ...

either way, it might be a good time for Twitter to deactivate Trump's account again for a

bit.

. .

North Korea: Donald Trump 'begged for war' .

North Korea intensified its rhetoric on Saturday, suggesting that President Donald Trump's

visit to Asia showed he was a "destroyer" as he "begged for war" on the Korean peninsula,

Reuters reported.

"Trump, during his visit, laid bare his true nature as destroyer of world peace and

stability and begged for a nuclear war on the Korean peninsula," the foreign ministry

spokesman said in a statement carried by the state news agency.

Trump warned North Korea on Wednesday not to underestimate the United States as he wrapped

up his visit to South Korea.

. .

Trump, Putin meet 1-on-1 on sidelines of APEC Summit, discuss Syria, North Korea.

. President Donald Trump and Russian President

Vladimir Putin met on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit (APEC)

in Vietnam Saturday, according to the White House.

During the brief meeting, which lasted less than five minutes, the White House said the

two leaders discussed a joint statement on Syria, as well as alleged Russian meddling

in the 2016 election.

The president later took to Twitter sounding off against critics who question him cozying

up with the Russian leader.

"When will all the haters and fools out there realize that having a good relationship with

Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing," he tweeted.

"There [sic] always playing politics -- bad for our country.

I want to solve North Korea, Syria, Ukraine, terrorism, and Russia can greatly help!"

He said that "progress" was being made on Syria and North Korea.

Earlier in the day, Trump spoke to reporters on Air Force One before landing in Hanoi,

Vietnam on Saturday evening local time, reiterating that Putin said he did not meddle in the election.

"He said he didn't meddle," Trump told reporters.

"He said he didn't meddle.

I asked him again.

You can only ask so many times.

I just asked him again.

He said he absolutely did not meddle in our election.

He did not do what they are saying he did."

Asked if he believed Putin's denial, the president didn't directly answer but suggested

he didn't directly counter Putin's denial.

"Well look I can't stand there and argue with him," Trump said.

"I'd rather have him get out of Syria to be honest with you.

I'd rather have him, you know, work with him on the Ukraine than standing and arguing

about whether or not [Russia meddled in the election], because that whole thing was set

up by the Democrats.

I mean they ought to look at [former Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John] Podesta.

They ought to look at all of the things they've done with the phony dossier."

Trump went on to say that he believes Putin "means it" when he denies meddling in the

election.

"Every time he sees me he says, 'I didn't do that,' and I really believe that when he

tells me that, he means it.

But he says, 'I didn't do that.'

I think he is very insulted by it, which is not a good thing for our country," Trump said.

He also suggested that the issue of North Korea would be a lot more easily resolved

"if we had relationship with Russia.

... It would be helped a lot."

The White House confirmed that the meeting took place on Saturday after having ruled

out a formal meeting would occur just a day prior, citing scheduling conflicts on both

sides, after weeks of speculation on the topic.

Per a statement from Russia, the two leaders "agreed that there is no military solution

to the conflict in Syria" and that a political solution must come through the Geneva process.

Russia also "expressed their satisfaction with successful US-Russia enhanced de-confliction

efforts" and agreed to keep open lines of communication between the US and Russia military.

The White House released a joint statement later, after Trump landed in Hanoi, echoing

those sentiments.

Trump said the two leaders "agreed very quickly" to the statement.

"The two Presidents discussed the ongoing need to reduce human suffering in Syria and

called on all UN member states to increase their contributions to address these humanitarian

needs over the coming months," the statement released by the State Department said.

"In addition, President Trump noted that he had a good meeting with President Putin,"

it continued.

"He further noted that the successful implementation of the agreements announced today will save

thousands of lives."

In addition to the one-on-one meeting, Trump and Putin were spotted shaking hands and carrying

on conversation on at least three separate occasions over the course of two days at the

economic summit.

Trump had previously told reporters that he expected to meet with Putin at some point

during his trip.

"I think it's expected we'll meet with Putin, yeah," Trump told reporters on Air Force One,

as he kicked off his tour of Asia.

Though the White House never confirmed that the meeting would occur, the Kremlin had previously

said the "likelihood is great" for a one-on-one meeting between the two leaders and that the

matter was in the works for weeks.

The White House has been vocal in its criticism of Russia over its support of the Syrian regime

of Bashar al Assad, directly calling on the Kremlin to cease its "egregious" support

of the Syrian leader as a years-long civil war drags on in the country.

While the topic of Syria appears to have dominated the meeting, there are strained tensions between

the two countries on a range of other issues, including the nuclear standoff with North

Korea, fresh US sanctions against Russia and the ongoing investigations into Russia's

meddling in the 2016 presidential election and questions of potential collusion between

the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.

The two leaders previously crossed paths at the G-20 Summit in Germany this summer, where

their first official bilateral meeting lasted for more than two hours.

The two men also had another involved interaction at a meeting during the summit.

. .

US president Donald Trump in bizarre 'short and fat' tweet about Kim Jong-un, as he

praises Vladimir Putin for being sincere.

. US President Donald Trump has sent a bizarre

tweet about Kim Jong-un, on the same day as he praised Russia's Vladimir Putin for his

sincerity.

Mr Trump's tweet - surely one of his oddest - asked why the North Korean leader could

call him "old" when he had never labelled him "short and fat."

It then suggested the two may one day be friends.

Days before returning home from a whirlwind trip to Asia, President Donald Trump was back

on the defensive over Russian election meddling, saying he considers President Vladimir Putin's

denials sincere, dismissing former US intelligence officials as "political hacks" and accusing

Democrats of trying to sabotage relations between the two countries.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump said Russian President Vladimir Putin

had again vehemently insisted - this time on the sidelines of an economic summit in

Vietnam - that Moscow had not interfered in the 2016 US elections.

Trump declined to say whether he believed Putin, but he made clear he wasn't interested

in dwelling on the issue.

"He said he absolutely did not meddle in our election.

He did not do what they are saying he did," Trump said as he travelled to Hanoi, the second-to-last

stop of his Asia trip.

"Every time he sees me, he said: 'I didn't do that.'

And I believe - I really believe - that when he tells me that, he means it," Trump said.

He called the accusation an "artificial barrier" erected by Democrats - once again

casting doubt on the US intelligence community's conclusion that Russia tried to interfere

in the election to help the Republican Trump beat Democrat Hillary Clinton.

In a tweet sent Sunday from Hanoi, Trump bashed the "haters and fools" he said are questioning

his efforts to improve relations with Russia and accused critics of "playing politics"

and hurting the country.

Trump traveled to Hanoi for a brief state visit.

He was due in the Philippines later Sunday for a pair of summits that will close out

his trip.

Trump and Putin did not have a formal meeting while they were in Vietnam for the Asia-Pacific

Economic Cooperation summit, but the two spoke informally several times and reached an agreement

on a number of principles for the future of war- torn Syria.

Trump made clear that the issue of Russian meddling in the election hovers over the leaders'

relationship and said it jeopardized their ability to work together on issues including

North Korea's escalating nuclear program and the deadly conflict in Syria.

"Having a good relationship with Russia's a great, great thing.

And this artificial Democratic hit job gets in the way," Trump told reporters.

"People will die because of it."

Trump danced around the question of whether he believed Putin's denials, telling reporters

that pressing the issue would have accomplished little.

"Well, look, I can't stand there and argue with him," Trump said.

"I'd rather have him get out of Syria, to be honest with you.

I'd rather have him, you know, work with him on the Ukraine than standing and arguing

about whether or not - 'cause that whole thing was set up by the Democrats."

Multiple US intelligence agencies have concluded that Moscow meddled in the 2016 election to

try to help Trump win.

But Trump called the former heads of those agencies "political hacks" and argued

there's plenty of reason to be suspicious of their findings.

The comments made clear that Trump still does not take the meddling seriously and sees little

benefit in punishing a nation accused of undermining the most fundamental tenet of American democracy:

free and fair elections.

They also suggest that Trump is unlikely to work aggressively to try to prevent future

meddling despite repeated warnings from senior intelligence officials that Russia is likely

to try to interfere again.

Meanwhile, a special counsel investigation of potential collusion between Moscow and

Trump campaign aides so far has resulted in two indictments for financial and other crimes

unrelated to the campaign, as well as a guilty plea.

Congressional committees have also been interviewing campaign and White House staff.

"Trump really raised the topic of so-called interference in US elections," Putin's

spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, was quoted by Russian news agencies as telling reporters.

"Putin categorically rejected even the hypothetical possibility that Russia could have in some

way interfered in the US electoral process."

Earlier Saturday, the Kremlin issued a statement saying the leaders had reached agreement on

a number of principles for the future of civil war-torn Syria now that the Islamic State

group has largely been pushed out.

Among the agreements' key points, according to the Russians, were an affirmation of de-escalation

zones, a system to prevent dangerous incidents between American and Russian forces, and a

commitment to a peaceful solution governed by a Geneva peace process.

The Kremlin quickly promoted the agreement as the White House stayed silent.

Trump told reporters that the deal was reached "very quickly" and that it would save

"tremendous numbers of lives."

And he praised his relationship with Putin, saying the two "seem to have a very good

feeling for each other and a good relationship, considering we don't know each other well."

Video from the summit in the seaside city of Danang, Vietnam, showed Trump and Putin

shaking hands and chatting, including during the world leaders' traditional group photo.

The two walked together down a path to the photo site, conversing amiably, with Trump

punctuating his thoughts with hand gestures and Putin smiling.

Journalists traveling with Trump were not granted access to any of the APEC events he

participated in Saturday.

Trump's visit to Hanoi began with a state dinner during which he showered the country

with praise, saying it has "truly become one of the great miracles of the world."

On Sunday, he'll meet with the country's president and prime minister before heading

to his last stop: the Philippines.

Despite Media Reports, Trump and Putin Will Not Hold a Formal Meeting During APEC Summit - Duration: 3:49.

Despite Media Reports, Trump and Putin Will Not Hold a Formal Meeting During APEC Summit.

By V. Saxena.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed Friday that President Donald

Trump doesnt intend to sit with Russian President Vladimir Putin for a formal meeting

during their simultaneous attendance of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in

Vietnam.

Theres no formal meeting or anything scheduled for them, she told reporters

Friday morning while en route to Da Nang, Vietnam, where the summit is be held from

Nov. 10 to Nov. 11.

Now, theyre going to be in the same place, so are they going to bump into each

other and say hello? she continued.

Certainly possible and likely.

But in terms of a scheduled, formal meeting, theres not one on the calendar and we dont

anticipate that there will be one.

When pressed by reporters about why the two didnt plan to meet, Sanders cited scheduling

concerns on both sides.

This revelation by Sanders contradicted reports by various mainstream media outlets, including

CNN, that Trump and Putin were set to meet and discuss North Korea.

President Donald Trump will seek to enlist his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin this

week on a mission to confront an increasingly truculent North Korea during their second

face-to-face meeting, CNN reported Sunday.

Trump, though, never explicitly mentioned a formal meeting.

As noted by the CNN report, Trump specifically said, We want Putins help on North Korea,

and well be meeting with a lot of different leaders.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has also reportedly disputed claims that Trump

and Putin intend to meet, arguing Thursday that there was no reason to schedule a meeting

given their vast disagreements over how to handle Syria and Ukraine.

The view has been if the two leaders are going to meet, is there something sufficiently

substantive to talk about that would warrant a formal meeting? he said, as reported

by Fox News.

Interestingly, Russia responded Friday to Sanders declaration with what appeared

to be anger.

Our American colleagues are coming forward with contradictory information, said Putins

spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, according to Newsweek.

Either way a meeting on the sidelines will take place.

This frustration appeared to counter the narrative touted by the media that Trump and Putin are

friendly allies.

Later Friday morning, CNN ran a report claiming Trump and Putin had briefly met during the

opening photo at the summit.

(T)he two world leaders did briefly meet during the so-called APEC class photo, where

all the heads of state come together to take a photo before the summit officially starts,

CNN reported.

Trump and Putin shook hands and had a briefly spoke before the photo was snapped.

To be clear, the two shaking hands while taking a photo together is not equivalent to them

meeting formally.

Paul Ryan Makes His Loyalty Clear: "We're With Trump" - Duration: 2:58.

I know a lot of people in this country have been thinking that maybe Paul Ryan is not

a Trump guy.

Maybe he's just trying to see what happens throughout the Trump administration, not really

trying to take one side or another on this, just trying to push his horrible Republican

policies through Congress.

Well, as it turns out this week, Paul Ryan actually gave us an answer as to where he

stands with Donald Trump.

During an interview with Fox News Radio, Brian Kilmeade on Fox News Radio, Paul Ryan made

it absolutely clear.

Not just about his priorities and loyalty, but about the entire Republican party.

And he said, quote, "We're with Trump."

Paul Ryan is now squarely in the corner of Donald Trump, the ... I guess at this point,

the leader of the Republican party, if we're with Trump.

So that means what Trump does, the Republican party does.

Paul Ryan is not a smart guy.

I've said that plenty of times in the past, but his little statement right there, "We're

with Trump," is going to lead the Republican party into a whole world of trouble that he

doesn't even realize, because if he wants to hitch the entire GOP wagon onto Donald

Trump himself, then that means that every indictment that gets handed down for Donald

Trump and his administration is an indictment against the Republican party.

Every time poll show that the president's approval rating drops, that's an approval

rating of the entire Republican party.

Every single time Donald Trump goes out there and lies or says something stupid, like "I

didn't know there were this many countries," that is something stupid that the entire Republican

party stands behind.

So go ahead.

Hitch your wagon to him.

Say "We're with Trump," because I know you were just saying it to try to appease the

Fox News Radio audience because you think that's somehow going to help.

Maybe you didn't think that other people were going to pick up on it and hold you to that.

But from this point forward, every failure of Donald Trump is a failure of you, Paul

Ryan.

It's a failure of the Republican party.

Every horrible thing he says, every woman that he tries to grab by their genitals, that's

on you.

You just said you stand by it and you stand with it, so we're going to loop you two together

like you could not believe.

That is how this is going to work from now on, and it's because you decided to pander

to that Republican base and make it clear that you and your fellow Republicans are with

Donald Trump.

And you will be with him all the way down.

President Trump Receives an Operational Briefing - Duration: 2:20.

The President: Thank you very much.

I just want to thank General Brooks and

everybody that is working with us so hard on the

situation in South Korea.

Terrific people.

I had a choice of having a beautiful, very fancy

lunch, and I said, no, I want to eat with the troops.

And we ate with the troops.

And it was good eating.

It was good eating.

And I tell you, they've done a terrific job.

Very impressive.

And we have a very strong schedule today and,

actually, for the next nine days.

As you know, we just got back from Japan where we

had a very successful two days.

Today will be pretty busy and tomorrow also.

And then we head to China.

And I look forward to that.

There's great cooperation.

We have a terrific meeting scheduled on trade in a

little while with President Moon and his representatives.

And we will -- hopefully, that will start working

out, and working out so that we create lots of

jobs in the United States, which is one the reasons

-- one of the very important reasons I'm here.

In addition to that, we'll be meeting with the

various generals -- General Brooks and the

various generals -- about the situation in North Korea.

And I think we're going to have lots of good answers

for you over a period of time, and ultimately it

will all work out.

Because it always works out -- has to work out.

So, I want to thank you all for being here.

We appreciate it.

Thank you very much.

We're going to see you in a little while.

And I think about 4:30, we're going to be

separately meeting with you.

But we appreciate it.

I hope you had a good flight here.

Many of you were on the flight with me, so I know

it was pretty good.

And I think you're probably just as impressed as I am.

This is a very impressive group of people, beyond

facilities -- people.

These are very impressive people.

So, General, thank you very much.

Appreciate it.

Thank you.

BREAKING: Trump and Putin Issue Major Announcement. - Duration: 4:02.

BREAKING: Trump and Putin Issue Major Announcement.

It looks like the meeting between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir

Putin was productive.

On Saturday, the two leaders issued a joint statement stating that they would continue

to collaborate in the fight against the Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria until the terrorist

group is destroyed.

According to Fox News, they issued the statement after a brief meeting at the Asia Pacific

Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

In the statement, the two leaders stated that there is no military solution to the conflict.

Both parties also stated that they were committed to Damascus' sovereignty.

Originally, it was expected that the two leaders would speak on Friday, however, they had their

conversation on Saturday as they walked to a "family photograph" at the conference.

It was the first time Putin and Trump had met since the G20 conference earlier this

year.

The relationship between the United States and Russia has been strained since Congress

passed a law imposing more aggressive sanctions against the Kremlin for their meddling in

the 2016 election.

President Trump reluctantly signed the bill into law.

In response, Russia expelled half of the United States' diplomatic staff from the US embassy

in Moscow.

In the days leading up to the meeting, there was speculation about the subjects the two

leaders would discuss.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told reporters in China that there wasn't a reason to have

a formal meeting between Trump and Putin if they could not take more steps towards resolving

issues like Syria and the Ukraine.

"The view has been if the two leaders are going to meet, is there something sufficiently

substantive to talk about that would warrant a formal meeting," Tillerson said.

On Thursday, it was reported that the United States and Russia were close to finalizing

an agreement regarding the Syrian civil war after ISIS is defeated.

The agreement in discussion contains three components, confliction between U.S. and Russian

military, decreasing violence in the region, and restarting peace talks led by the United

Nations.

According to The New York Times, Syria was not the only topic at hand during the conversation.

President Trump again asked Putin whether or not the Kremlin attempted to meddle in

the 2016 election.

This has been a serious point of contention ever since Trump won the presidency.

President Trump told reporters that Putin denied the allegations.

"He said he didn't meddle — I asked him again," Trump said.

"You can only ask so many times.

I just asked him again.

He said he absolutely did not meddle in our election.

He did not do what they are saying he did."

The president did not directly state whether or not he believes Putin's claims.

However, he did state that the issue is harming relations between the United States and the

Kremlin.

"Every time he sees me he says, 'I didn't do that,' and I really believe that when

he tells me that, he means it," he said.

"I think he is very insulted by it, which is not a good thing for our country."

It appears that Trump wishes to put the 2016 election interference behind him.

To people on the left, it might appear that Trump's desire to move past the issue is

because he was colluding with the Russian government to swing the results of the election.

However, since nobody has been able to find evidence proving that the Trump campaign worked

with the Kremlin, it's more likely that Trump wants to have a more productive relationship

with Russia — especially when it comes to Syria and the North Korea issue.

The bottom line is that Putin will never admit to attempting to disrupt our election.

If the intelligence community is correct in their findings, the sanctions were probably

the correct course of action.

However, Trump is also right in trying to improve our relationship with the Kremlin.

When it comes to problems like North Korea's nuclear weapons program, we need every ally

we can get.

Can Russia Help Defeat ISIS?
