The send photo from Picasa does not work any more, Google have retired the support and it no longer works.

If you compose an email and choose the Picture icon at the bottom you can Insert a picture by uploading it from your computer. You can choose Inline which puts it in with the text, or as an attachment with the paper clip option.

What I find extremely irritating is that google is always inserting itself into my computer, wanting me to hang out on google ( are you kidding????) or have them oganize my files, etc....I want to keep my Gmail, but am so offended by the assertiveness of google I am tempted to get out of their orbit entirely and change my email address.

Sorry Sukey, I couldn't be without Gmail, Maps, and Photos. It is upsetting when things change, but they are great free apps and I just ignore the intrusions although some are quite clever.

Picasa still works as a desktop photo organiser and should do for a long time, at least as long as Windows 10 lasts. Chill out and enjoy your new computer, Peter

When you say "transferred", do you mean that the photos were uploaded to Google Photos and deleted from the device? Then these device albums may be empty and not shown till they populate again with new photos.

However, after the "restart" all grouping had been lost and now, months later, it stopped grouping them once again after not even a 10th of the people I had before and for over a week not a single photo has been added to the existing people. It stopped at photos from mid 2020 while before it also classified photos from the beginning of my photo collection. Is there any way to get the classification to work again? Is there any way to restart the classification without losing the current progress? All related posts to this issue, that I could find, are >2 years old and I would assume Google would have at least tried to address this issue at this point.

Also I have no access to the feature, that let's you change the person of one specific photo. Is there an overview of the countries in which this feature is enabled?

The pop-up screen will show the following options "My music", "Theme Music", or "No music".
My music allows replacing the current one with your recording in MP3 format.

Obviously Photos does not get the addresses from your contacts. In my case it suggested old (no more valid) addresses, addresses with typos etc. I do not know of a way to get rid of them. Very annoying indeed.

When you see an "Edit" icon (pencil) to the right of People in the info of a photo, you can add detected faces to a group or change wrongly grouped faces to the correct group. But unfortunately the edit option is not available in all regions, for example in Europe. We asked Google why, but did not get a satisfactory answer.

When editing is not available you can select the wrong photos, tap 3-dots > Remove results, hoping that Google will learn from it. But when both do appear you should not remove. Not very satisfying.

You can also create a normal album for one of them, add the photos you want and then remove the wrong ones from the wrong group.

Unfortunately we have run out of ideas about what might cause this. Google have advised that they have fixed a software issue, is your Pixel fully updated?

Google Photos do not provide 1:1 user support, the Community is made up of volunteers who try to help using our experience.

All we can do is refer you to Pixel Support or the Pixel User Community If they refer you back to Google Photos we don't have access to support, perhaps they should be able to escalate to Google Photos internally on your behalf as they work for the same company.
