I found a video in my late husband's phone and I emailed it to my g-mail account, but it is not showing up.  It was explained that I should check my Google photos, to see if it was sent directly; problem is I'm not finding my Google photos, or I missing something entirely.  The "help" application offers nothing that I could find to fit my request for Google photos; does anyone have any ideas on where to go to find it?

I do not know of a way to automatically limit backing up photos/videos of specific people. Google only detects who is in specific photos after uploading. The only way I can think of is to upload manually.

Hello, today 02/23/2022 at about 4 pm deleted some photos and videos from the trash. The problem is that I didn't know that google photos was fully synced with the gallery. I deleted it in order to free up disk space, but not in the gallery, so if it is possible to return the deleted one, I will be very happy..

Welcome to the Google photos community

To restore your photos and videos I suggest you to follow the below steps:

If you deleted an item and want it back, check your trash to see if it's there.
  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
  2. At the bottom, tap Library  Trash .
  3. Touch and hold the photo or video you want to restore.
  4. At the bottom, tap Restore. The photo or video will be back:
    • In your phone's gallery app
    • In your Google Photos library
    • In any albums it was in
If the item is not in your trash, it may be permanently deleted.
Don't see the photo or video?
If a deleted photo or video isn't in trash, you can't restore it. You won't be able to restore a photo if:
  • You moved it to trash more than 60 days ago.
  • You moved it to trash, then emptied your trash.
  • You moved it to trash more than 30 days ago on an Android 11 and up device, and it wasn't backed up.
  • You permanently deleted it from your trash.
  • You permanently deleted it from your device's Gallery app, without backing it up first.
To find and recover photos easily, turn on back up & sync.

I don't want to keep duplicating then having to delete photos when I separate them to albums. I have so many pics that it's hard to know which ones are already in albums and which ones arent! If I copy ones that are already in the album, it duplicates them. I'm so frustrated, also if I  delete the pics here, it says it will remove them from all my devices! I don't necessarily want them  off my phone though. I think this app has more issues than it's worth, and not well planned out at all. If I had read all these issues I never would have used it. Now I have pics on here that I don't have anywhere else, and there are too many to easily sort with your system. I don't even know WHAT to do

Sorry you are having problems.

Can you please elaborate on these sentences, they don't really make sense to me. 
"I don't want to keep duplicating then having to delete photos when I separate them to albums.
 "If I copy ones that are already in the album, it duplicates them.

Where are you seeing duplication?

The photos in albums are just another ~view~ of the images in the "Photos" Library.   If you have the same photo in 3 Albums and it will be visible in at least 4 places (probably more) but there is no duplication (e.g., it does not count against your storage quota).

After editing photos on my phone, the only option I have is to "Save Copy". I have no option to "Save" to the existing photo, as I did previously. 

This has been mentioned in several previous threads (1, 2, 3, 4) but there is no solution. 

After talking to Google Support (gotta get some use out of that Google One subscription I'm paying for now), the solution in my particular case was to change the photo storage location from the external SD card to phone internal storage. This change must be made in your CAMERA app, not in Google Photos. It will only apply to photos taken after you make the change, not to pre-existing photos. (Though perhaps moving them from SD card to internal storage would allow it to work? I haven't tried that.)
