Trump news on Youtube Nov 27 2018

'We will close the border permanently if need be': Trump threatens

President Trump threatened to permanently close the U.S. border with Mexico on Monday, saying he'll take the drastic action if members of a swelling migrant caravan are not deported back to their Central American homelands.

U.S. Border Patrol fired tear gas canisters and rubber bullets at a group of migrants on Sunday, including families with young children, as hundreds tried to storm the border.

San Diego Sector Border Control chief patrol agent Rodney Scott said Monday morning on CNN that when the migrants approached border fences, they 'immediately started throwing rocks and debris at our agents, taunting our agents.

'And once our agents were assaulted and the numbers started growing – you know we had two or three agents at a time facing hundreds of people at a time – they deployed tear gas to protect themselves and protect the border.

Carla Provost, the chief of U.S. Border Patrol, told the Fox news Channel that 'our agents were being assaulted.

A large group approached the area and they were throwing rocks and bottles at my men and women, putting them in harm's way as well as other members of the caravan.'.

The confrontation produced chaos and new dangers that prompted U.S. officials to close the crossing between Tijuana and San Diego, stopping everyone in their tracks – including thousands travelling legally between the U.S.

The border reopened Monday morning, but Trump tweeted a stern warning to Mexico: Deport the migrants, a horde that includes 'stone cold criminals,' or see the economically critical crossing sealed permanently.

He called for Congress to fund his border wall with Mexico at a time when congressional Democrats are counting down the final weeks before they take over the House of Representatives.

'Mexico should move the flag waving Migrants, many of whom are stone cold criminals, back to their countries.

Do it by plane, do it by bus, do it anyway you want, but they are NOT coming into the U.S.A.,' Trump tweeted. 'We will close the Border permanently if need be. Congress, fund the WALL!'.

The president's ultimatum played on TV screens worldwide Monday morning, alongside images of children screaming and coughing in Sunday's mayhem at the San Ysidro Port of Entry as Border Patrol officers tried to push the surging mass of people back.

The crowd control tactics began when migrants tried to cut a hole in razor wire on the Mexican side of the fence.

Lee Gelernt, deputy director of the ACLU's Immigrants' Rights Project, told CNN on Monday that Border Patrol was guilty of an 'overuse of force.

'There are women and children out there. Using tear gas in this situation does not seem justified,' he said.

But Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said she would not put up with the 'lawlessness' and threatened harsh punishments for 'anyone who destroys federal property, endangers our frontline operators, or violates our sovereignty.

Nielsen confirmed that border personnel were 'struck by projectiles thrown by caravan members. ' She condemned those responsible for their 'dangerous' actions that were 'not consistent with peacefully seeking asylum.

Mexico also vowed to deport about 500 migrants who tried to 'violently' and 'illegally' cross the U.S. border on Sunday, according to the Mexican Interior Ministry.

More than 5,000 of them, mostly asylum seekers, have been camped in and around a sports complex in Tijuana after making their way through Mexico in recent weeks.

Agents at the San Ysidro entry point are processing fewer than 100 asylum petitions a day. But Scott, the Border Patrol's chief agent in San Diego, said Monday legitimate asylum seekers are few and far between.

'What I saw on the border yesterday was not people walking up to Border Patrol agents and asking to claim asylum,' he said.

'Matter of fact, one of the groups I watched, one of the groups that several of them were arrested, they passed 10 or 15 marked Border Patrol units.

numerous uniformed personnel, as they were chanting, waving a Honduran flag, and throwing rocks at the agents.'. 'If they were truly asylum seekers, they would have just walked up with their hands up and surrendered. And that did not take place.'.

Despite heightened tensions, Mexico said it would not send military forces to control more than 7,000 migrants from a caravan currently amassed at the U.

Honduran migrant Ana Zuniga, 23, said she saw migrants open a small hole in concertina wire at a gap on the Mexican side of a levee, at which point U.S. agents fired tear gas at them.

'We ran, but when you run the gas asphyxiates you more,' she told the AP while cradling her three-year-old daughter Valery in her arms.

Mexico pledged to shore up security near its border with the United States and local authorities said that 39 migrants were arrested after a peaceful march devolved into chaos.

Mexico's Milenio TV also showed images of several migrants at the border trying to jump over the fence. Yards away on the U.S. side, shoppers streamed in and out of an outlet mall.

U.S. Border Patrol helicopters flew overhead, while U.S. agents held vigil on foot beyond the wire fence in California.

The Border Patrol office in San Diego said via Twitter that pedestrian crossings have been suspended at the San Ysidro port of entry at both the East and West facilities. All northbound and southbound traffic was halted.

San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer tweeted on Sunday: 'It is critical that U.S. and Mexican federal leaders work together to safely resolve the migrant crisis. 'Our way of life relies on a safe, secure and functioning border.

'From travel to shipping to daily commutes between San Diego and Tijuana, it is essential to our community. Earlier Sunday, several hundred Central American migrants pushed past a blockade of Mexican police who were standing guard near the international border crossing.

They appeared to easily pass through without using violence, and some of the migrants called on each other to remain peaceful.

They convened the demonstration to try to pressure the U.S. to hear their asylum claims and carried hand-painted American and Honduran flags while chanting: 'We are not criminals! We are international workers!'.

A second line of Mexican police carrying plastic riot shields stood guard outside a Mexican customs and immigration plaza. That line of police had installed tall steel panels behind them outside the Chaparral crossing on the Mexican side of the border.

Migrants were asked by police to turn back toward Mexico. Irineo Mujica, who has accompanied the migrants for weeks as part of the aid group Pueblo Sin Fronteras, said the aim of Sunday's march toward the U.S.

border was to make the migrants' plight more visible to the governments of Mexico and the U.S. 'We can't have all these people here,' Mujica told The Associated Press.

Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum on Friday declared a humanitarian crisis in his border city of 1. 6 million, which he says is struggling to accommodate the crush of migrants.

U.S. President Donald Trump took to Twitter Sunday to express his displeasure with the caravans in Mexico.

'Would be very SMART if Mexico would stop the Caravans long before they get to our Southern Border, or if originating countries would not let them form (it is a way they get certain people out of their country and dump in U.S.

No longer),' he wrote. Mexico's Interior Ministry said Sunday the country has sent 11,000 Central Americans back to their countries of origin since Oct. It said that 1,906 of them were members of the recent caravans.

Mexico is on track to send a total of around 100,000 Central Americans back home by the end of this year.

Earlier on Sunday, Nielsen tweetedSunday: 'This AM, @CBP was forced to close the #SanYsidro POE to ensure public safety in response to a large # of migrants seeking to illegally enter the U.

'They attempted to breach legacy fence infrastructure along the border & sought to harm CBP personnel by throwing projectiles @ them. '@DHS will not tolerate this type of lawlessness & will not hesitate to shut down POEs for security reasons.

'We'll seek to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law anyone who destroys federal property, endangers our frontline operators, or violates our sovereignty.

'#CBP along w other DHS, federal, state & local law enforcement, & the @DeptofDefense, have a robust presence along the SW Border and at our POEs.

We remain in close contact with Mexican authorities and are committed to resolving this situation safely in concert with them.'.

In a later tweet, she condemned members of the caravan throwing objects at border personnel. She wrote: 'Today CBP (Customs and Border Protection) personnel were struck by projectiles thrown by caravan members.

'Such actions are dangerous & not consistent w peacefully seeking asylum. The perpetrators will be prosecuted. I will continue to aggressively support DHS personnel as they work to safely secure our border.'.

Trump's Cabinet Officials Can't Stop Breaking The Law - Duration: 4:36.

Recently and EPA official from Donald Trump's EPA was actually arrested in the state of

Alabama.

I'm part of a scheme that he had arranged allegedly to help a coal company avoid having

to clean up some of their toxic waste.

He was arrested, put in handcuffs, and taken to jail where he was then released later on

$30,000 bond.

Now, the reason that story is important is because it just highlights how corrupt and

incompetent everyone in this trump administration truly is.

News Day recently did a phenomenal article about all of the investigations and all of

the scandals that have plagued every single member of Donald Trump's cabinet.

I mean, between Scott Pruitt, Andrew Wheeler at the EPA, Ryan Zinke at the Interior Department,

Steven Mnuchin at the treasury.

Uh, Wilbur Ross has commerce secretary Betsy DeVos at the Department of Education and Ben

Carson at Hud.

Every single one of them has been involved in at least one scandal, one impropriety.

Uh, well, improper activity I should say.

Excuse me.

So why, why are we allowing this to continue?

Is the big question.

I mean, who out there actually believes Donald Trump is still trying to drain the swamp?

That's a question I would love to see answered.

I would love any right wing are out there to send me a message and explain how exactly

trump has drained the swamp because the level of corruption we have seen in this government

has not been seen throughout my entire lifetime.

There are more scandals, more investigations, more lawsuits involving Donald Trump's cabinets.

Then we have seen in modern history, the man didn't drain the swamp.

He refilled it.

This is a level of corruption that is to date on precedented.

Let's go through a few of them.

We, let's start with Betsy DeVos, who's currently being sued because she stood to gain by loosening

the rules for a student loan borrowers, uh, and for profit colleges, of which she has

a financial stake in.

Of course, Ben Carson, his scandal was probably the most talked about, uh, his.

One of the things, you know, buying the 35, $40,000 China set for his office at HUD.

And to be honest, I have to point this out a little bit.

The reason everybody knew about Ben Carson's thing, he had to go and testify in front of

Congress about why he bought these things.

He throw his wife under the bus.

He said she picked it out so you know, that's, that's what happened.

And the guy has no morals and no, you know, courage whatsoever immediately through his

wife under the bus on that.

But I have to say most people don't understand Betsy DeVos is scandalous or Zinke scandals,

scandals or even Wilbur Ross, the scandals, but they all know about Carson's and honestly

I kind of feel like it has to do with the color of his skin.

I feel like Carson, who's scandal is probably the most mild got chosen out of all of them

to be the whipping boy because of the color of his skin.

I mean you've got Mnuchin who should be in prison for what he did during the subprime

lending crisis, but instead he's taken private jets.

He's sitting on the top of Fort Knox watching eclipses and yet we're having congressional

hearings about Ben Carson's dinner plates.

I mean, come on, you have to admit there has to be something showing why we're going after

Ben Carson so fiercely, but not Mnuchin or or even Zinke who is now under an even larger

investigation for approving a land deal from which he profited while being in office.

Zinke also took 66 vacation days in just first 18 months in office.

I've been here 15 years and I haven't taken 66 vacation days since I started.

This dude hits it in 18 months.

The bottom line is this.

There are a lot of scandals involving this trump administration and anyone who believes

that Donald Trump is actually draining the swamp needs to go have their head examined

because they're clearly not paying any attention to what's actually happening in the real world.

Trump FAILS To Get Charity Fraud Lawsuit Against Him Dismissed - Duration: 3:44.

Donald trump was dealt a major blow by a federal judge this past week, uh, when that judge

ruled that Donald trump could not get rid of a lawsuit against him and his children

for allegedly misusing charitable funds from the trump foundation and using that to pay

themselves to pay other bills and to benefit his presidential campaign.

Now, in case you're not familiar with it, a New York attorney general, Barbara Underwood,

she spent two years investigating this case.

Uh, you know, even before she became the age of New York, now that she is the age she is

going forward, they have filed the suit against trump and his children, Ivanka, Don Junior,

and Eric.

And basically what happened was they took money into the trump foundation, millions

of dollars.

They then used it.

Some of it was used to actually pay off lawsuits for Mara Lago.

Some of it was used to benefit donald trump's presidential campaign and other parts of that

big pot of money.

We're just used to pay people from the trump organization.

Very little of it went to charity.

And while that part's not illegal, using it to benefit a presidential campaign or using

that money to pay off other lawsuits and settlements is 100 percent illegal.

Donald trump and his lawyers had been trying to get this lawsuit thrown out, trying to

argue that this judge overseeing the case does not in fact have jurisdiction over Donald

Trump because he is a sitting president of the United States.

Well, this judge, as well as the judge earlier in the summer, both ruled, yeah, we definitely

have jurisdiction over you.

This happened in New York.

Were judges in New York, not sure where the disconnect is, but yes, we have jurisdiction

over you and this case is going to move forward.

The best thing about this case, other than the fact that multiple judges have now ruled

that it's going forward because we have jurisdiction, is the fact that this is state law.

So if Donald Trump or any of his children are convicted, they can't be pardoned.

You can't be pardoned for violating a state law.

Only a federal law.

So say for example, Donald Trump junior goes to prison for the misuse of charitable funds.

There's literally nothing his father can do to get him out of prison.

That would be legal.

I'm sure there's plenty of things he could do that would be illegal, but you get what

I'm saying.

He can't save his children.

He couldn't save himself if this thing goes to criminal proceedings right now it's just

a civil suit, but if this civil suit goes the way that the prosecutor thinks said, well,

it will 100 percent open up criminal liability against Donald trump and his children and

if they go down for this, there is nothing that anyone can do to save them from going

to prison and that's why this particular investigation lawsuit has the biggest potential out of all

of the Donald Trump lawsuits or investigations to actually take him down and in his presidency.

That is a long shot.

It is not likely to happen, but there is still that glimmer of hope in there that maybe this

particular investigation and lawsuit and potential criminal proceedings could possibly take down

the trump administration.

I'm not usually an optimistic person, but in this case I'm going to set aside a little

bit of optimism and a little bit of hope that Barbara Underwood could be the hero that we

desperately need in this country right now.

Trump Proposes State Run Media Network To Tell The World How Awesome He Is - Duration: 4:34.

Everybody knows the Donald Trump hates the media with the exception of Fox News, of course,

but he hates the media because they're always so darn mean to him, and he makes sure that

anytime he gets his little bitty feelings hurt by the media, that he gets on twitter

and attacks them and lets us all know how sad and depressed he truly is, that the media

is not being nice to him because he hasn't done anything worthy of being nice about.

So yesterday on twitter, Donald Trump came up with the brilliant idea.

Maybe we should just create a state run propaganda outlet to show the world how great Donald

Trump truly is.

Here is what Donald Trump tweeted over a series of tweets.

While CNN doesn't do great in the United States based on ratings outside of the US, they have

very little competition throughout the world.

CNN has a powerful voice portraying the United States in an unfair and false way.

Something has to be done, including the possibility of the United States starting our own worldwide

network to show the world the way we really are.

Great.

Um, okay.

First and foremost, aside from this being a ridiculously stupid idea, there actually

already is a state run media outlet.

It's called Voice of America.

Uh, the government funds it to the tune of about $220,000,000 every single year.

So we already have what you're talking about Donald trump.

The problem is their coverage of you is also not completely, uh, you know, great.

Why?

Because they're talking about what's actually happening in this country.

So if you wanted to start a different worldwide network, as you call it, to show the United

States the rest of the world, actually how great that United States is.

What are you going to talk about?

You can talk about the fact that we have people who are dying because they can't afford prescription

drugs.

People who are being given rejection letters because they can't afford a organ transplant.

Uh, people in Alabama living in what the UN has called extreme poverty on fewer than $4

per day.

You're going to show them all of the, uh, homeless veterans that we have that all the

administrations in recent years of just kind of turned their back on.

You got to show them images of us border agents, gassing children.

Is that what makes America great?

Are you going to show them footage of the Georgia election where the Republican literally

stole the election from Stacey Abrams?

You're going to show them that.

What are you going to show him?

Donald, you're going to show them the fact that you're still out there riling up these

disgusting human beings in your rally who were chanting, lock her up while ignoring

the fact that your very own daughter and many other members of your administration did the

exact same thing that you want Hillary Clinton locked up for.

Is that what you're going to show them?

What exactly do you want your worldwide network to show?

Donald?

Tell us.

Tell us what this programming is going to be.

Because I can promise you, if you want to show the rest of the world what America is

really like, all it's going to do is lower their opinion of us here in the United States.

We are running out of things to be proud of right now.

Again, people are dying because they can't afford their prescription drugs.

We have an administration.

You Mr Trump, who says that climate change doesn't exist.

We have Republicans in Congress who in spite of the massive climate change report, we just

got say it doesn't exist.

You are out there insulting the state of California after they suffered the deadliest wildfire

in the state's history.

You neglected Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria just left them to die.

You're pretty much doing the same thing to all the other hurricanes that have hit along

the coast.

Luckily here we've had enough good citizens come forward and volunteer their time and

efforts and money to help rebuild the areas in the United States hit by hurricanes.

A lot of those actually came from NFL sports teams, which you claim to hate so much.

They're the ones out there doing real work.

You know a Tampa Bay buccaneers, the Houston Texans, with Jj Watt after Harvey, you got

the Carolina Panthers after the hurricane struck up there this year.

They're out there helping people.

What are you doing?

You're playing golf.

You're ignoring problems.

You have a horrible disaster response on hand, ready to go anytime something bad happens

in this country, so you don't really want the rest of the world to see what all of us

here in the United States are seeing every single day.

Because I can promise you if they truly understood what was happening here, they would hate us

even more than they already do.

Trump's Own Climate Report Shows Dangers Growing All Over U.S. - Duration: 3:58.

This past Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, biggest shopping day of the

year, the federal government finally released its climate assessment report, and in that

report they basically told us that the time for action is now the time for talk has ended,

and if we do not act soon, we can expect catastrophe across the United States.

In fact, the report already tells us that we're already experiencing the effects of

climate change in every state across the US.

Every single state right now is dealing with the impacts of climate change.

According to this assessment released by Donald Trump's government.

Now, everything in this assessment stands in stark contrast to things that trump himself

has said things that other Republicans in dc have said and things that, uh, donald trump's

cabinet members have said, they don't want to talk about climate change.

Most of them don't think it's happening or they've been paid enough by fossil fuel interests

to say that it's not happening or that there's nothing we can do about it.

Or in the rare instance that it's a good thing.

But this report says otherwise it says that we're kind of screwed right now and if you

want to be even more screwed later, continue doing nothing, which is currently the path

that we're on with the trump administration.

There was one bright spot with this particular report and that was that for about 36 to almost

48 hours.

The media was talking about the impacts of climate change.

Politicians were talking about the impact of climate change and the fact that we need

to do something about it for almost 48 hours.

We had conversations about climate change or you may not think that's important, but

trust me, as somebody who has been discussing climate change for over a decade, somebody

who's been working on countering misinformation from right wingers and fossil fuel funded

groups for more than eight years.

I can tell you that 48 hours of coverage of actual climate change discussion in corporate

media is not something we have ever seen.

Even when we have the massive wildfires and the massive hurricanes and droughts and floods

and all that.

They don't talk about climate change.

But here, this past weekend, even though the administration attempted to bury the report

by releasing it on Black Friday, we still had conversations about it.

We have politicians that are coming into DC, newly elected representatives who are bringing

a fight for the climate with them.

We may finally get action, you know, typically a report like this would come out and it would

seem like, well all hope is lost, but it's not lost anymore.

Yeah, we're in a dire situation and we have to do something about it.

But for the first time since I've been talking about it, I'm actually optimistic about it.

I know I'm not optimistic that Donald trump is gonna do something about it, but I am optimistic

about these new comers in Congress who have already gotten some of the old guard Democrats

to join in with the idea of a green new deal.

We can take action and they want to take action and we're likely going to take action once

we get trump out of office.

Once we get these climate change, denying Republican out of office, the American public

wants action.

They've been wanting it for years, a majority of all parties, and now we finally have politicians

who want to put this on the front page.

As long as they keep up that fight and as long as the public pays attention, we will

get some good climate policy out of the Democrats, but only if we keep pushing them to do it.
