Donald Trump Just Shut Down Chuck Schumer's Impeachment Scheme

Liberals pounced on the news that Michael Cohen claimed Trump ordered him to violate

campaign finance laws.

So Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are plotting to finally impeach Donald Trump.

But Donald Trump just shut down Schumer and the Democrats scheme.

Michael Cohen's Guilty Plea Raises Impeachment Talk

Trump-lawyer Michael Cohen surrendered to federal authorities and pleaded guilty to

various financial crimes.

But Cohen's confession to campaign finance violations for payments made to women who

claimed they had an affair with Donald Trump attracted the most attention.

Pundits claimed Cohen had implicated the President in a crime.

Anti-Trump journalists speculated impeachment was right around the corner.

Leading Democrats like Nancy Pelosi had to race to try and cover up their true intentions

since Schumer had told the Daily Beast last November it was too soon to discuss impeachment:

"There may be a time.

It is premature.

And to call for [impeachment] now you might blow your shot when it has a better chance

of happening.

It is serious, serious, serious.

And so … you wait," Schumer had stated.

So Pelosi released a statement that never used the word 'impeachment.'

But political experts laugh at the Democrats lies.

Former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon said the main issue of the midterm election

is impeachment.

"..November is a referendum on impeachment — an up or down vote.

Every Trump supporter needs to get with the program," Bannon declared.

Bannon knows that if Democrats announce their intentions to impeach Trump, Republicans will

turn out in full force come November.

Consequently, Democrats have to cover up their real plans to impeach Trump to prevent a red

wave.

Donald Trump Shuts Down Impeachment Talk Fox and Friends host Ainsley Earhardt interviewed

Trump at the White House where he responded to Cohen's guilty plea for the first time.

The President also took on Cohen's allegation that he ordered Cohen to break the law.

He declared, "Later on I knew.

Later on."

The President also addressed the allegation that the payments violated campaign finance

reporting rules.

"But you have to understand…what he did; they weren't taken out of campaign finance.

That's a big thing.

That's a much bigger thing," Trump explained.

"Did they come out of the campaign?

They didn't come out of the campaign," he continued.

He pointed out, "They came from me…But they didn't come out of campaign."

The President hammered the double standard at work with how the government treated him

and how prosecutors handled Obama's campaign violations.

"It's not even a campaign violation.

If you look at President Obama, he had a massive campaign violation, but they had a different

Attorney General and they viewed it a lot differently," Trump concluded.

In addition, a jury found former Presidential candidate John Edwards not guilty of criminal

charges for exactly the same violations as prosecutors have now charged Cohen.

Edwards used money to pay off a woman he carried on an affair with.

The failed Presidential candidate successfully argued he had made the payments to hide the

affair from his wife.

But the President denies allegations of even having an affair.

However, he could argue that because the allegations would have wounded his wife, he paid the money

to save her the humiliation even though an affair never occurred.

BREAKING NEWS: Woodward book reveals Kelly called Trump 'an idiot' - Daily News - Duration: 7:55.

An explosive book by journalist Bob Woodward has revealed new accounts of backbiting and insults among Donald Trump's senior staff – with some of the most cutting digs directed at the president and his intellect

Woodward, relying on his usual methods of deeply sourced reporting with use of information provided on 'background' – presents White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Defense Secretary James Mattis each deriding the president's mental capacity

Kelly called Trump an 'idiot' and said in a meeting with a small group the president was 'unhinged,' according to the Washington Post, Woodward's longtime employer, which got a copy

'He's an idiot. It's pointless to try to convince him of anything. He's gone off the rails

We're in Crazytown. I don't even know why any of us are here. This is the worst job I've ever had,' Kelly said when he blew a fuse at a meeting, according to Woodward

In one episode, Trump questioned the utility of U.S. early warning systems in Alaska to identify a nuclear attack from North Korea

When Trump asked about it, Mattis schooled him: 'We're doing this in order to prevent World War III

Share this article Share Mattis then told colleagues Trump had the mental ability of 'a fifth- or sixth-grader

'But Trump also dished back at his subordinates. He fumed at Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and even reportedly mocked the region he came from, in addition to calling him a 'traitor' for his decision to recuse himself from the Russia probe

'This guy is mentally retarded. He's this dumb Southerner. … He couldn't even be a one-person country lawyer down in Alabama,' Trump said

Previous accounts during Trump's first year had former secretary of state Rex Tillerson calling Trump a 'moron,' and Tillerson did not explicitly deny it

This would mean three of Trump's most senior advisors have ridiculed his mental capacity

The book also recounts efforts by former chief economic advisor Gary Cohn to try to head-off what he considered rash or ill-advised policy moves by Trump

Cohn 'stole a letter off Trump's desk' to prevent the president from executing a letter of withdrawal from a South Korean trade deal

The book even ventures into the advice Trump got from his former lead lawyer on the Russia investigation, John Dowd

'Don't testify. It's either that or an orange jumpsuit,' he advised Trump, according to the book

And Dowd also explained to special counsel Robert Mueller face-to-face why he didn't want his client to testify

Dowd told him: 'I'm not going to sit there and let him look like an idiot. And you publish that transcript, because everything leaks in Washington, and the guys overseas are going to say, 'I told you he was an idiot

I told you he was a goddamn dumbbell. What are we dealing with this idiot for?''According to Woodward, Mueller replied: 'John, I understand

'According to another anecdote, Trump told former staff secretary Rob Porter former chief of staff Reince Priebus was 'like a little rat

He just scurries around.'Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, 80, a billionaire investor, wasn't spared Trump's criticism

'I don't trust you. I don't want you doing any more negotiations. … You're past your prime,' Trump told him

The release of yet another bombshell book sent the White House communications shop into immediate emergency mode

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was seen walking into the Oval Office Tuesday

She declined a request for comment. The Washington Post released a recorded August 14 phone call between the famously well-sourced author and the president

In the call, Trump sounds irked that he never was able to speak to Woodward for his book

'I never got a call. I never got a message,' the president said at first.'Woodward told him he had lunch with counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway where he pressed her on getting a Trump interview

He also said he sent a request through press aide Raj Shah. He also said he sent a message through Sen

Lindsey Graham.Trump allowed he did get a brief message from Graham. He put Conway on the call, who said she passed the request through channels, but did not say she spoke to Trump about it

'Senator Graham actually mentioned it to me quickly on one meeting. And you know, that is true,' Trump said

'It's really too bad because nobody told me about it and I would have loved to have spoken to you,' Trump said

'Did you speak to Madeleine,' Trump asked Woodward. 'Madeleine is the key. She's the secret,' Trump said, in a reference to Madeleine Westerhout, his personal secretary

Woodward says he didn't. 'I broke my spear on it trying to get to you,' Woodward tells him later in the call, which Woodward told the president he was recording at the top

'I talked to Raj. He was going to work it out,' Woodward said, referencing press aide Raj Shah

Trump put Conway on the call. She told Woodward: 'I did. I presented it to the people here who make those decisions,' without naming names

'It would have been nice, Bob, if you called for me in my office,' Trump said.He also diminished the access of his deputy press secretary

'Rah, I hardly have - I don't speak to Raj.'That's okay, I'll just end up with another bad book

What can I tell you.'

Twitter CEO: We could ban Trump for breaking rule about abusive tweets - Daily News - Duration: 5:50.

Twitter said Tuesday that no one is exempt from the threat of being banned for violating its rules governing abusive behavior – not even President Donald Trump

The social media giant has a sliding standard for heads of state and other controversy-attracting people because what they say is inherently newsworthy

But that's 'not a blanket exception for the president or anyone else,' Twitter legal and policy chief Vijaya Gadde told Politico

About 54.2 million people follow Trump on Twitter, inviting equally his opinions about public policy and the people and nations he loves to hate

'Just heard Foreign Minister of North Korea speak at U.N.,' the president tweeted nearly a year ago

'If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they won't be around much longer!'That kind of direct threat could run afoul of Twitter's Terms of Service, even if Trump has nuclear launch codes and the legal authority to use them

In July he pointed his keyboard at Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and pressed Enter: 'NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE

'A month later he blasted former aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman, who penned a tell-all about her time working for him, as 'a crazed, crying lowlife' and a 'dog

'Separately, he branded her 'wacky' and 'deranged.'Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey hinted to Politico that deciding whether to sanction the President of the United States for firing off abusive tweets would feature more art than science

Share this article Share 40 shares 'We have to balance it with the context that it's in,' he said

'So my role is to ask questions and make sure we're being impartial, and we're upholding consistently our terms of service, including public interest

'Eight months ago Twitter explained on a corporate blog that blocking heads of state 'would hide important information people should be able to see and debate

'Dorsey has attracted unwanted attention from Republicans who say Twitter has shown a bias against them, but insists the platform is working on ways to ensure debate is healthier

In prepared testimony released ahead of a House hearing Wednesday, he says Twitter 'does not use political ideology to make any decisions, whether related to ranking content on our service or how we enforce our rules

' The testimony comes as some Republicans say conservatives have been censored on social media and have questioned the platform's algorithms

Dorsey will testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Wednesday afternoon on that subject, following a morning hearing in the Senate Intelligence Committee on Russian interference on social media

Dorsey says in the House testimony that the company has continued to identify accounts that may be linked to a Russian internet agency that was indicted by special counsel Robert Mueller earlier this year

The indictment detailed an elaborate plot by Russian intelligence officers to disrupt the 2016 U

S. presidential election, charging several people associated with the Internet Research Agency with running a huge but hidden social media trolling campaign aimed in part at helping Republican Donald Trump defeat Democrat Hillary Clinton

Dorsey says in the testimony that Twitter has so far suspended 3,843 accounts the company believes are linked to the agency and has seen recent activity

'These accounts used false identities purporting to be Americans, and created personas focused on divisive social and political issues,' Dorsey said

To address concerns about bias, Dorsey offered an explanation of how Twitter uses 'behavioral signals,' such as the way accounts interact and behave on the service

Those signals can help weed out spam and abuse. He said such behavioral analysis 'does not consider in any way' political views or ideology

Dorsey said the San Francisco-based company is also 'committed to help increase the collective health, openness, and civility of public conversation, and to hold ourselves publicly accountable towards progress

'

Moon, Trump agree to meet at UN General Assembly later this month - Duration: 1:58.

Meanwhile, it looks like there'll be another big meeting for the South Korean leader coming

up soon.

President Moon Jae-in spoke on the phone for nearly an hour Tuesday night, Korea time,

with President Trump.

They agreed to look into meeting one on one in New York later this month on the sidelines

of the UN General Assembly.

Ko Roonhee has this report.

Should President Moon attend the UN General Assembly in New York later this month,...

the Presidents of South Korea and the U.S. could meet on the sidelines to hash out future

strategies on issues regarding the Korean Peninsula.

Presidents Moon Jae-in and Donald Trump had a fifty-minute phone call on Tuesday night,

just a day before the South Korean envoys headed to Pyongyang to discuss the inter-Korean

summit that will be held in Pyongyang this month.

According to the Blue House press release, President Moon briefed his U.S. counterpart

on the reason for sending envoys to North Korea to discuss preparations for the third

summit between him and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Moon also emphasized the need for a fresh round of inter-Korean dialogue to reduce tensions

between the two Koreas, which will ultimately contribute to denuclearization and the establishment

of permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula.

However, after the phone conversation, the Blue House was cautious to confirm that President

Moon will, in fact, attend the General Assembly; while White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders

said the two leaders agreed to meet later this month.

The Blue House said in a separate readout that the two leaders agreed to quote "explore

the idea of meeting in person" on the sidelines of the General Assembly in New York.

The phone conversation between the two Presidents came less than 2 weeks after President Trump

canceled U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's planned visit to Pyongyang, citing lack of

progress on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
