Trump news on Youtube Sep 3 2018

President Donald Trump just surprised everyone by indicating that he supports a bill that

would end the ban on marijuana in this country.

Politico reported that on Friday, Trump said that he would "probably will end up supporting"

bipartisan legislation to bar the federal government from interfering with marijuana

legalization laws at the state level.

Unveiled by Sens. Cory Gardner of (R-Colo.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), this bill

in effect give states the right to determine their own approach to regulating the drug.

When asked about the bill, Trump said supports it now and will "probably" support it

going forward.

"I really do.

I support Senator Gardner," Trump said of the lawmaker's bill.

"I know exactly what he's doing, we are looking at it.

But I probably will end up supporting that, yes."

This surprised everyone since it contradicts Trump's own Justice Department, which under

the direction of Attorney General Jeff Sessions has moved aggressively to crack down on the

proliferation of laws to decriminalize and legalize cannabis.

Back in January, Sessions rescinded an Obama-era policy that had effectively limited the prosecutions

of businesses and individuals who sold pot in a legal manner under state law.

This initiative of Barack Obama's had paved the way for more legislation expanding legal

access and use of pot at the state level.

Gardner and Warren's measure, which seeks to bar the federal government from meddling

in states' efforts to self-regulate on pot, would likely challenge the DOJ action on federal

pot prosecutions.

Gardner said that trying to roll back pot laws would be like "putting ketchup back

in the bottle" and also noted that current finance laws have made it difficult for legal

marijuana businesses to operate.

"This city of Denver, the state of Colorado, can collect taxes … they can take it to

the bank," Gardner said.

"But if you are in the business, if you work for the business, you can not get a bank

loan or set up a bank account because of the concern over the conflict between the state

and federal law.

We need to fix this public hypocrisy."

Tiffany Trump Shows Off Her Legs In Majorly Short Dress To Visit Sis Ivanka – Pics - Daily News - Duration: 2:19.

Tiffany Trump surfaced in another adorable minidress, and it's possibly her shortest yet! See pics of her smokin' outfit that she wore out in Washington, DC!    Tiffany Trump added another cute minidress to her ever-growing arsenal, this time rocking a shorter-than-short number for a visit with big sister Ivanka Trump

Tiffany rolled up to Ivanka and Jared Kushner's Washington, DC, home on the night of August 30 wearing a lacy, cap-sleeved ivory dress with matching wedge heels

The dress, which featured a little peplum and a doily print, was flirty and fun, perfect for a casual night with her sister's family after a long day of working hard at law school

Tiffany loves herself a good minidress, to the point that we even have an entire gallery of her best looks! We particularly love a few of her most recent outfits

She kicked off July with a relaxing trip to the Surf Lodge concert fest in Montauk, New York, and she dressed to the nines for the entire vacation

One of her Instagram pics stood out among the rest. In the cute pic, Tiffany is relaxing on the shore while wearing a white, bodycon minidress, strappy sandals, and huge sunglasses

A swipe of red lipstick makes this seem a little too formal for a beach day, but whatever — she looks awesome

Even at her father, President Donald Trump's official White House events, she's opted for minidresses

That includes the Republican National Convention in 2016, his 2017 inauguration, and pretty much every event going forward, casual or formal

Hey, she knows what works on her. If you had legs that good, you'd want to flaunt them, too! We can't wait to see what she wears next

Fingers crossed it's on Lindsay Lohan's new reality show.

Trump Exposes Massive Obama Coverup – 'This Is Totally Illegal' - Duration: 10:46.

Trump Exposes Massive Obama Coverup – 'This Is Totally Illegal'

Donald Trump just went off on Barack Obama after the latest revelation about what the

former administration did for Iran.

"The Obama Administration is now accused of trying to give Iran secret access to the

financial system of the United States.

This is totally illegal.

Perhaps we could get the 13 Angry Democrats to divert some of their energy to this "matter"

(as Comey would call it).

Investigate!" Trump tweeted, according to Right Wing News.

Senate Republicans just revealed that Obama tried to give Iran access to the U.S. financial

system by sidestepping sanctions kept in place after the 2015 nuclear deal, despite repeatedly

telling Congress and the public it had no plans to do so.

As Obama tried to make the Iran deal happen, he also worked to make sure Iran received

their so-called promised benefits without playing into the hands of the deal's opponents.

Iran got $150 billion in the deal as well as $400,000 in exchange for prisoners and

another $1.3 billion in cash that Iran claimed was owed to them.

Iran used this money to move ahead with their nuclear weapons program, massively beef up

their military and sponsor terrorism across the globe while the U.S. got nothing in return.

"The Obama administration misled the American people and Congress because they were desperate

to get a deal with Iran," said Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH).

We can only hope that Trump makes sure that Obama is held responsible for the illegal

things he did and that the former president ends up in prison where he belongs!

Mollie Tibbetts' Grieving Dad Tells 'Heartless' Donald Trump Jr 'Don't Use Mollie' to Push Racism - - Duration: 5:54.

The father of Mollie Tibbets, a college student who was found dead weeks after disappearing, has spoken out against Donald Trump Jr

and other politicians who are trying to use his daughter's death to push their own racist agendas

In an opinion piece for the Des Moines Register published on Saturday, Rob Tibbetts spoke out against "politicians and pundits" who have "used Mollie's death" as a talking point in ongoing debates about immigration in America, despite his family's emphatic appeals

"They have instead chosen to callously distort and corrupt Mollie's tragic death to advance a cause she vehemently opposed," he wrote

"The act grievously extends the crime that stole Mollie from our family and is, to quote Donald Trump Jr

, 'heartless' and 'despicable.' "  A day earlier, Don Jr. had published his own opinion piece in the same publication, where he argued that many Democrat politicians had a "heartless" and "despicable" response to Mollie's murder by asking that people focus "on the 'real problems' of our immigration system, such as the separation of families at our border

"  Iowa authorities previously stated that Tibbett's suspected killer, 24-year-old Cristhian Rivera, is an undocumented immigrant

"At her eulogy, I said Mollie was nobody's victim. Nor is she a pawn in others' debate

She may not be able to speak for herself, but I can and will. Please leave us out of your debate," Rob wrote

"The person who is accused of taking Mollie's life is no more a reflection of the Hispanic community as white supremacists are of all white people

"  "To suggest otherwise is a lie," he wrote, before sharing that his stepdaughter, whom "Mollie loved so dearly," is Latina, as are her children

Rob added: "To knowingly foment discord amount races is a disgrace to our flag

It incites fear in innocent communities and lends legitimacy to the darkest, most hate-filled corners of the American soul

It is the opposite of leadership. It is the opposite of humanity. It is heartless

It is despicable. It is shameful."  In an interview with the Register, which was also published on Saturday, Rob explained that he was inspired to write his own opinion piece after reading what the president's son had written

Following news that Mollie had died, President Donald Trump also invoked the killing in starkly electoral language

"You heard about today with the illegal alien coming in, very sadly, from Mexico and you saw what happened to that incredible, beautiful young woman," he said at a rally

"Should've never happened. … The laws are so bad, the immigration laws are such a disgrace

We're getting it changed, but we have to get more Republicans."  In a video posted on his Twitter account, Trump spoke even more directly, referencing his longstanding pledge to erect a southern border wall: "We need the wall

We need our immigration laws changed. We need Republicans to do it, because the Democrats aren't going to do it

"  Despite Trump's frequent remarks, statistics cited by the Pew Research Center show immigrants do not commit crimes more often than native-born Americans

Tibbetts, a 20-year-old psychology student at the University of Iowa, was last seen alive the night of July 18, on her regular evening run around her hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa

Rivera made his initial court appearance on Wednesday and is set to return on Aug

31. He remains in custody in lieu of $5 million bond.  He has not entered a plea but his attorney, Allan Richards, has reiterated that he is innocent until proven guilty and that no evidence has yet been presented in court

"He was just part of the community, an all-American boy working really hard," Richards previously told PEOPLE of Rivera

"Whether or not there was something that happened that was very outrageous, that is a different matter

I have seen no evidence on that."

They'Re Cut Off For Life – Trump Just Rained Down Hell On The Obamas - Duration: 2:09.

Michelle Obama is reportedly livid that President Donald Trump is preparing to sign a bill into

law that would cut her husband off from his six figure pension.

Right Wing News reported that during their time in the White House, Barack and Michelle

Obama forced taxpayers to pay $114 million to fund their lavish vacations and extravagant

lifestyle.

Now, they expect taxpayers to fund Barack's annual $400,000 pension, but Trump is not

having any of it.

In 2017, Obama vetoed a bill that would have curbed the pensions of former presidents if

they took outside income of $400,000 or more.

Republican lawmakers have now presented this bill once again, and Trump likely will not

veto it as his predecessor did.

Introduced by Republican Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, the bill would cap the pensions at $200,000,

with adjustments made for the increase in the cost of living each year.

The bill also makes it so that for every dollar above $400,000 that a president makes from

things like speeches and other post-presidential events, one dollar would be taken off their

pension.

Obama has been making over $400,000 for numerous individual speeches since leaving office.

"Our national debt now exceeds $20 trillion; this bipartisan effort is another important

step toward reining in Washington's out-of-control spending," Ernst explained.

Barack and Michelle just signed a major deal with Netflix, so they do not need our taxpayer

dollars at all.

"One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating

people from all walks of life, and to help them share their experiences with a wider

audience," the former president said in a statement.

"That's why Michelle and I are so excited to partner with Netflix – we hope to cultivate

and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy

and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world."

Michelle can whine about this all she wants to, but Trump is about to cut her off!

Bailing Out Trump's Trade War Victims Will Cost $4.7 Billion - Duration: 3:57.

Donald Trump's trade wars are still wreaking havoc on farmers all throughout the United

States.

While most of them admit that Donald Trump's trade wars are 100% to blame for the woes

that they are currently facing, some of them still say that even if you destroy their business

completely they would still blindly support him because that's the kind of sheep that

they are.

But sensing that this could be an issue that could hurt Republicans in the midterms this

year, Trump decided a while back that he was going to give these farmers that he had personally

put in danger a major bailout.

Well this week, we got the numbers on what the government is going to spend and how much

money they're going to hand out to these red state farmers so that they don't go and vote

for Democrats.

The cost of those votes is 4.7 billion dollars.

The reason I say the cost of those votes instead of the cost of the bailout is because Donald

Trump doesn't care about these people, he doesn't care if their farms go under, he doesn't

care if they lose everything and fire all their employees or if the economy in those

areas slows to a crawl because nobody has any money.

No no no.

This is 100% about shoring up the Republican base ahead of the midterms.

Now we, the US taxpayers, are going to spend 4.7 billion dollars so that these red state

farmers continue to vote Republican.

That's what this story is actually about.

It's not about a bailout, it's about buying their votes with our tax dollars.

Again, Trump knew that this was going to happen to the farmers.

He was warned by his economics advisors that trade wars are going to kill the crops here

in the United States and make them unsellable.

He did it anyway because he didn't care.

He didn't think there'd be any ramifications for him, but now that things are kind of heating

up and it's looking like he could end up impeached before the end of his first term if Democrats

take back the House and Senate, now he's worried.

Now we're the ones footing the bill.

Now I do have sympathies for some of these farmers out there.

They should not be losing their entire way of life, they should not be having to fire

people.

Yeah, they do need help.

What could help them most is for Trump to simply get rid of the tariff's that he put

in place.

That's it.

That's all he has to do.

That doesn't cost anyone a dime.

He doesn't have to shell out close to five million of our dollars just to buy these people's

votes back to the GOP.

We're living in a time when Republicans are working everyday to cut social security, to

cut Medicaid, to cut Medicare, to cut Snap food stamp programs, to cut after school programs

for underprivileged kids because they don't have any money, allegedly.

Here they are, about to write a check for close to five billion dollars just to make

sure that they can count on those red state farmers to continue to vote Republicans at

least until after this year's midterms.

If they're still struggling after that, who knows?

Who knows how much money we're going to have send them, because even just giving them this

to allegedly fix their livelihoods, this is a band aid.

This is a 12 month at best band aid that is going to wear off before the end of Summer

2019.

If Trump hasn't ended his trade wars by then, these people will be right back in the same

situation coming to the government for a handout and the Republicans not wanting to lose again

in 2020 will more than happy to hand over all of our money for the sake of a few thousand

red state voters.

What's Trump's Supreme Court Guy Trying to Hide? Sept 2 Debrief - Duration: 3:04.

In a surprise move, a ban on ex-gay abuse has been pulled from consideration -- by its

own sponsor.

A judge just ordered the administration to release secret documents about the proposed

trans military ban.

And time is running out to stop Trump's Supreme Court nominee and his anti-gay past.

We'll have the week's top LGBT news and actions you can take on Weekly Debrief.

Thanks to everyone who pledges a dollar or more a month on Patreon to make Weekly Debrief

possible.

There's rewards for backers -- visit patreon.com/mattbaume or click the link in the description.

California was about to become the first state to ban ex-gay abuse with a law that would

have labelled the practice as fraud.

But this week, the bill was pulled by its own sponsor, even though it was expected to

pass.

The reason: objections from religious groups that claimed it would have banned the Bible,

preaching, churches, and more.

To be clear -- it would not have done that.

But the way the bill was written was juuuuust vague enough that someone might make that

mistake.

And that could potentially lead to complications, like a voter initiative to protect ex-gay

abuse.

So now the bill sponsor is pulling the bill to re-write it and make it less vulnerable

to a challenge down the road.

It's frustrating that we'll likely have to wait another year before it passes.

But ultimately, this will probably make its passage more secure and protect more people

in the long run.

Meanwhile: sixteen states have asked the Supreme Court to block job protections from queer

workers.

Led by Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson, the states are pushing to keep it legal for

employers to fire anyone they even think might be gay.

They include Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama -- not a lot of surprises on

the list.

We'll likely have a final ruling from the court sometime between now and June of 2019.

In Washington DC, a judge has ordered the Trump administration to release secret documents

about attempts to ban trans people from the military.

Officials had claimed that they're entitled withhold those documents because they worked

very hard on them.

The judge's response: "This is not how civil litigation works."

And pressure is increasing for Republicans to release secret documents pertaining to

Trump's Supreme Court nominee.

We still don't know what role Brett Kavanaugh played in Bush-era attempts to ban marriage

equality, eliminate hate crime protections, and fund anti-LGBT speakers.

This week a coalition of civil rights and media activists filed more Freedom of Information

Requests to access those records.

Kavanaugh's Senate hearing is scheduled for September 4.

If we don't get those documents soon, it may be too late.

Time is running out to stop his nomination.

This week's action item: call your Senators and tell them to delay the vote until we know

what Kavanaugh is trying to hide.

And as always, Let me know about stories that need covering @MattBaume on Twitter and in

the YouTube comments.
