Trump news on Youtube Jun 7 2018

>>> Good day, everyone.

President trump is lashing out

at the press today calling the

coverage of his wife Melania

during her recovery from kidney

surgery unfair and vicious.

Claiming news out lets reported

she was near death, recovering

from facelift, leaving the

president, the victim of abuse.

Repeating some of the tabloid

speculation that's not appeared

in the mainstream media.

Joining me Kristen Welker and

MSNBC political analyst Robert

Costa.

Welcome to both of you.

Kristen, the president and the

first lady are supposed to

appear together this afternoon

at an event.

It's the first time they will be

seen publicly.

That she will be seen publicly

in 26 days.

In his tweets today about these

nasty reports, he's recycling

tabloid rumors that have not

appeared on network television,

that's I know of, any of our

cable shows.

Not appeared in most newspapers.

>> Reporter: You're right.

In fact, some reporters have

said they didn't even know about

some of the rumors that he

tweeted about today.

Really giving oxygen to some of

these rumors.

Some of this buzz worthy gossip

that's gone around.

We're going to see first lady

today with the president.

The two will head to the FEMA

headquarters later this

afternoon for a briefing on

hurricane preparedness.

Earlier this week she did attend

an event for gold star families

with president trump.

That was not open to the press.

There were a few pictures that

did leak out but the press

wasn't there.

She did have what was described

as a procedure for a benign

kidney condition.

She remained in the hospital for

Five: "President Trump VS NFL.Who will win in this fight of interest? - Duration: 16:15.

now in Greg Gutfeld it's five o'clock in New York City and this is the five

President Trump is standing firm on his decision to pull the plug on a White

House invitation for the Superbowl champion Philadelphia Eagles the

president instead hosting a celebration of America event we love our country we

respect our flag and we always proudly stand for the national anthem it's about

time that we understood we stand to honor our military and to honor our

country and to remember the fallen heroes who never made it back home after

his city's team was disinvited Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenny slammed the

president as quote not a true patriot and launched a new personal attack the

guy is just a scary guy and I I don't know what I don't hopefully by the time

he's gone we can recover from from this from this mess but this is a bad time in

our country I'm frightened about the fact that he has his hands on the

nuclear codes that he threatens to you know to annihilate North Korea meanwhile

Wow meanwhile the White House is accusing the Eagles of playing politics

if this wasn't a political stunt by the Eagles franchise then they wouldn't have

planned to attend the event and then backed out at the last minute and if it

wasn't a political stunt and they wouldn't have attempted to reschedule

the visit when they knew that the president was going to be overseas and

if this wasn't a political stunt they wouldn't have waited until Monday jesse

is a die-hard Eagles fan and he was there for all of the action at the White

House hey Jesse hey Kimberly how're you good good good so how you feeling about

this whole things I know you're a huge Eagles fan so you get to be there yeah

so huge fan let's just get one thing straight though both are winners the

Eagles beat the Patriots and Trump beat crooked Hillary so we'll have that no

one's ever going to take that away from us but this is tough for me you know

Eagles Trump I'm a Philly guy I'm gonna have to side with Trump though it's like

the Eagles try to trick play Trump sniffed it out and shut it down I don't

like how they played the gamesmanship with the guests

they started with 60 and then 24 hours before it was less than 10 it was like

an owner an assistant coach and a mascot I mean come on and then you have the

mayor coming in he doesn't speak for the Philadelphia Eagles he sounds like Joy

Behar the guy's a joke what mess is this country and its record unemployment I

don't know what this guy's talking about so he kind of compounded the error but

everybody was happy to be there they didn't see the Eagles they saw me I was

kind of the consolation prize although one person thought I was Ted Mosby I

don't really know who that is and another person thought it was Tucker

Carlson Wow so you're just really winning over there huh all right a big

day you today for Jessie okay well that's fine at least all right so Brian

you want to chime in to get some stuff for Jess Jesse so for you under if we

understand this correctly the Eagles didn't show off at first they made it

clear earlier that late last week they were gonna show up so they actually

tried to Trump Trump and won Trump pull the rug out from them then the attacks

came so who's the winner here I don't get it well like I said they're both

winners the Eagles still have the trophy that's

never going to change and Trump does what he does you know he did the

Singapore dance with little Rocket Man canceling the meeting and then bringing

it back on but listen the Eagles don't look good here but Philadelphia fans I

don't really think they're gonna care that much we're still going to cheer for

the Eagles and the Trump people in Pennsylvania is still gonna pull the

lever for Donald all right well there we go Sports Center meets like news at

night okay Juan you have some questions for this so Jesse I'm like deeply

offended man you mean nobody said hey aren't you Juan Williams you know I

thought Trump though had a big win on this subject last week when the NFL

owners said they were setting new rules for this coming season that would

require the players to either stand for the anthem if they're on the field or

remain in the locker room but then this morning he's tweeting out

hey no escape to the locker room and I'm thinking you know the owners aren't even

escaping here Trump is bull both the players and the owners am I

wrong I think bullying is a tough term one I

think we all need to grow up and stop being so sensitive about bullying here

these are billionaire owners that making a fortune I think everybody is a grown

up here but listen he didn't like the settlement he didn't like this kind of

in-between deal where you get to stay in the locker room for the anthem are you

gonna come out and stand he wants it all in you're either a hundred percent for

the country and the flag or we're not gonna play ball and he's gonna fight

until he's satisfied and we'll see who backs down it looks like the owners back

down a little bit maybe they got some more backing down in them we don't know

all right hey Jesse so any more highlights from the day well I'm a

little nervous because when I was trying to talk to the president when he was

leaving any get a chance to but I lost my dad for a second who I brought and I

caught back up with them and I said dad where were you when he goes I just did

an interview with ABC and I'm like I'm like was it local ABC he goes I don't

know it might have been national so I have no idea what my dad said on camera

to ABC I think he's jealous that mom tax is taken off yeah I don't know what all

right well I think your dad's gonna get an agent next right that's right I don't

know that's very cool I'm glad you guys I've found each other buddy system and

all all right well it sounds like it was fun we're gonna have to say goodbye now

parting is such sweet sorrow Jesse get back to winning thank you please how

come people say well president Trump should have had it anyway

where does it even come from he has the mascot the owner who hates him by the

way said it despises him since he's destroying the country and then one

other player perhaps what do you mean he's gonna have it how could he possibly

have it he had no choice but to cancel it's not true he could have taken the

upper in fact he had issued an invitation no party without no people

the point is the players the players didn't want to be used as like you know

for a photo op they wanted to have a real interact I think they requested it

they're coming time with Trump they were told no no they were not told no there

was the request wish with 85 requests for invitations and

press credentials yes that's right that's what I'm saying but you know that

that photo op is something that's been done for $25 they don't want a photo and

this is something that one of the former players said you know it wasn't just

about the standing a lot of these guys don't like Donald Trump

okay sorry well so Dana let's talk about how this played out right because people

were expecting this big you know fun happy things for it's done the national

anthem gets introduced into it then you've got the mayor who sounded a

little bonks I don't know he was kind of crazy can I just say I just think the

whole thing is just all of it is just a real shame I don't like culture war

stuff I think that the president has such good news to talk about in fact

they lead the White House briefing today with Kevin Hassett

to talk about the economy which is roaring and they have all this stuff and

because cultural cultural stuff will always rise to the top and will get

covered the most I do think it's a shame I don't know I would like to know more

of the details because I think some of the facts at least as I understand them

at least are in dispute did they want to have a personal meeting with them behind

the scenes right as they did okay so and I don't know but then you said that they

did it no they requested by saying along with

the credentials I don't know that they were denied I did not hear him but it is

possible that maybe one of the best things to do is just to stop having

teams come to the White House and focus on the people's business all right so

Greg yeah where do you fall down on this uh I don't give a toss about these

players okay I'm only here to talk about it because we have to talk about it the

economy is good there's low unemployment terror right where is Isis right now

North Korea is at the table we have Iran on watch right we have so like you said

so much good news that I really don't care that these players are upset or

they're offended I don't care they are millionaires they're the owners

and billionaires you know what baby would I would like to do see Trump do is

maybe do some more do a big drilling initiative to deal with the gas prices

that would be good but the media has really carried the water on this and

made this a terrible story they claim that it's not directed at the anthem

which goes against our eyes when you watch a football game you're watching it

you could say no it's about police brutality but we are watching it

happened during the anthem and what you're saying is well the anthem is a

political act standing for the anthem is a political act if that's the case then

so was the fourth of July so is the flag that's garbage

number one it's just it's just a symbol that's all it is no number two saying

it's a free speech issue it's only a free speech if it's pertaining to the

government this is an actual business no you're not getting arrested for saying

something you're actually just being part of you're being penalized as an

employee so the way the media is carried this and you sought specifically in the

press conference in which April Ryan and the other dude from NBC can't think of

his name we're peppering Sanders with just

redundant stupid questions like aren't you aware this is about brutality yes

aren't you aware that the message is convoluted that when you see players up

there they're making the big sitting during their kneeling during the the

national anthem they're making a huge mistake there they're injecting politics

into a non political event we talk about this every year we talk about oh the

best way to ruin a Thanksgiving dinner is talk about politics so but somehow

it's different at a sporting event you can come in and inject politics no you

inject politics at an appropriate venue you pay the price people don't want to

hear it we are so over this move on let me tell you something how important this

is this is about I've been over ain't playing culture wars as Dana said but I

think it's particularly dangerous because I think it tears at the fabric

of our society i agree with regard to race absolutely and i think everything

through the prism of race I do not but I'm telling you in this case I don't

have any doubt about the color of the majority of the players or the players

who are the ones who've been kneeling and raising a fist to protest these

brutality all right and I think it's their legitimate you said oh it's not a

free speech issue it's let me go or it's not a yes is turning hatred let me just

explain to you I think that in fact the rolling out of the flag and the anthem

and with the players on the sidelines is a new reality it used to be that they

were always in the locker room during the playing of the national anthem now

they're on the sidelines and in recent years there has been an explosion of big

flags flyovers oppression of milk why because

in so many cases in fact what you see is that the NFL was charging the military

it wasn't it was politics and sports politics and space is important in

America today let me I want to agree with them on this there are issues with

the criminal justice system but this debate the specific debate did

absolutely nothing to help the dialogue instead he created two separate teams

bro anthem anti anthem you could say no that's not what it's about but when your

eyes look at something and you see it happening

that's what visuals are the most persuadable thing and people see that it

did nothing for the quote dialogue all it did was alienate sport fans if it's

sporting fans and to another point if you believe that Standefer the anthem or

the flag is a political event that's on you for being political no I stand to

the anthem myself but I'm just telling you that what you've got here is a

situation where Donald Trump has found a way to stir his base because this has

nothing to do with the national anthem nothing to do with the blacks

nothing to do with love of our troops because the even the NFL Players

Association today Kimberly put out a statement says we love our troops we

love our country we love our what do they have to do that because they're

standing up against what they say is police put that statement out because

that's exactly how it was perceived as

he wasn't the one thing to me he wasn't he has picked up on it since these big

questions that bothers them and I just say I can agree with both you on this is

it another tie Donald Trump no I can agree well I tie everybody can't believe

here's the thing the president the president should if he wants to talk

about the economy he can lay out when he wants to he has not taken on Kim he's

not taking on Lavrov if he wanted to talk about the economy he just wouldn't

tweet about this he wants this fight

unemployment among blacks and minorities and women right now so yes that's

somebody who really that can relieve it you know when you look at this long how

he long son what I'm just telling you like Steve Kerr also know this is not

about the flag he is using this to attack him and are not to attack the

president to try to call him racist to say that he's against black people when

there is no evidence to suggest inclusive workplaces in America but now

as a result of Trump's interference it's absolutely corroded the relationship

between the owners lacks leaving the NFL in droves you know if they did or that

would be something wouldn't it I think the NFL is just fine a lot of you knows

are standing by their players too so to try to tie this in tangentially to a

president Trump and call me a racist and that he wants to tell us black people to

shut up is just completely out of line my political story is true it looks like

a scripted event to embarrass the president give me 85 passes give me 70

passes give me the right give me one for the mascot and the owner that's a

scripted attempt to embarrass the White House and what happens when they show up

and Trump stands there and says oh these guys are supporting me and oh please

they don't want to be used why does

you're gonna comment in less than 24 hours with fingers and they pull the

core mates like a bait-and-switch and so then he shows up there and there's like

the math or goofy mascot and whoever and this is so pointless right we do we had

to go and if I've been going to North Korea and you're saying Trump doesn't

listen that's right you so now for some bad news

pretend ahead of key primaries in eight states find out why when we return

Trump Announces Big Changes At The VA, Finally Does What Congress Wouldn't - Duration: 3:26.

Trump Announces Big Changes At The VA, Finally Does What Congress Wouldn't.

Perhaps the biggest crime by our government has been its treatment of our veterans.

The men and women who risked their lives to protect us are often neglected.

In some cases, they have been abused.

The Department of Veterans' Affairs has been a disgrace for a long time.

Hospitals that are supposed to provide care for our veterans are rank with corruption.

Doctors and staff lie about patients, putting them on incredibly long waiting lists.

They steal medicine and supplies.

Often veterans are denied care outright, able to receive life-saving treatment.

Yet, for some reason, Congress has refused to act.

Our lawmakers prioritized other issues, some worthless, while neglecting our veterans.

Can someone explain to me how Planned Parenthood gets billions of our dollars, but veterans

can't even see a doctor?

Something is very wrong.

But perhaps that's about to change.

President Trump is signing into a law an act that should radically change the VA.

From The Hill:

Today, President Trump prepares to sign the long awaited VA MISSION Act.

The plot leading up to this legislation reminds us not just of the need to improve VA's

ability to coordinate healthcare for veterans outside of its own facilities, but also that

in order to do so successfully, VA must re-focus on its mission.

Tucked away in Section 152 of the act is language that has helped to successfully reform the

nation's two largest government healthcare programs, Medicare and Medicaid — language

that creates a center for health-care innovations.

Ideas piloted through a VA innovations center, like managed care, have the ability to truly

transform VA's ability to provide timely care to veterans and allow VA to refocus on

its mission.

They also provide a long-overdue opportunity for taxpayers to see a return on the investment

they have made in caring for those "who have borne the battle."

Managed care has been proven to work for Medicare.

Seniors don't have to jump through hoops just to see a doctor.

The policy lets them choose a health plan and provider, with government benefits lowering

the cost.

That's a damn sight better than sitting in government waiting room for hours or even

days.

This new act will bring that concept to the VA.

Veterans can use their benefits to choose a private doctor or medical provider.

They don't have to suffer through the pain and process of a VA—which might be run by

incompetent or corrupt staff.

They can receive the support they earned from the government, while enjoying a doctor who

actually wants to help them.

What an idea!

That fact remains that our servicemen and women endured unspeakable challenges while

in the field.

They've seen things we can't even process.

Some have been hurt physically, some mentally.

There's no question they deserve the best care they can get.

With the MISSION ACT, they are a step closer to getting that help.

And over time, the VA will be transformed into an agency that supports our troops in

a way they deserve.

what do you think about this?

Who is Alice Marie Johnson, the great-grandmother Trump is granting clemency to? - Duration: 4:43.

Who is Alice Marie Johnson, the great-grandmother Trump is granting clemency to?

President Trump is granting clemency to Alice Marie Johnson, a great-grandmother who was sentenced to a life sentence in prison for non-violent drug charges — just one week after reality television star Kim Kardashian West visited the Oval Office to discuss the case, according to The Associated Press.

The news of Johnsons clemency was first reported by Axios on Wednesday.

Johnson, 63, was arrested in 1993 and convicted of drug conspiracy and money laundering in 1996, according to a Mic profile.

She became involved with cocaine dealers after she lost her job, her son was killed, she and her husband divorced and her home was foreclosed on, Mic reported in 2013.

   .

According to Mic, Johnson said she did not sell drugs or make deals, though she did admit to acting as an intermediary for those involved, passing along messages.

She was given life in prison without parole.

"I did do something wrong," Johnson previously told HuffPost.

"But this [was] a bad choice in my life that has cost me my life.".

In October 2017, Kardashian West shared a video of Johnson's story to social media, commenting, "This is so unfair.

She later enlisted her lawyer, Shawn Holley, to work on getting clemency for Johnson and Cyntoia Brown, who is serving life in prison for a murder she committed when she was 16, the New York Daily News reported.

Supporters of Brown have said she shot the 43-year-old man because she was afraid for her life and a victim of sex trafficking, according to The Tennessean.

"[Johnson] has been a model prisoner and has the support of the warden, government officials and a host of others in her bid for release," Holley has said.

The great-grandmother, who has been in jail for more than 20 years, is aware of Kardashian West's help and sent the reality television star a thank you note, TMZ reportedlast year.

"Ms.

Kardashian you are literally helping to save my life and restore me to my family," Johnson wrote in the letter.

"I was drowning and you have thrown me a life jacket and given me hope that this Life jacket I'm serving may one day be taken off.".

Johnson referenced Rosa Parks' refusal to give up her seat on a bus as a "defining moment" in history.

KIM KARDASHIAN WEST ADVOCATES FOR ALICE JOHNSON, OTHERS WHO ARE JAILED.

"I believe that history will record that Kim Kardashian had the courage to take a stand against human warehousing and was a key figure in meaningful criminal justice reform becoming a reality, she added.

A Change.org petition in support of clemency for Johnson has more than 271,000 signatures.

Johnson had sought a pardon from former President Barack Obama but did not receive one, according to HuffPost.

Kardashian West advocated for Johnson and prison reform during a meeting at the White House in May with Trump and Jared Kushner, the president's adviser and son-in-law.

Obama Tries To Take Over For Trump After He Kicks NFL Champs Out – Has Different Invite - Duration: 5:07.

The interwebz exploded in leftist outrage and cries of racism as the news broke that

2018 Superbowl champs, the Philadelphia Eagles were officially uninvited from the White House

by President Donald Trump.

"The Philadelphia Eagles are unable to come to the White House with their full team to

be celebrated tomorrow," read the White House statement.

"They disagree with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the

National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and

the people of our country."

"The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the

event deserve better," he continued.

President Trump stated fans of the team would still be invited to the reception.

He tweeted – "These fans are still invited to the White House to be part of a different

type of ceremony — one that will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who

fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem.

I will be there at 3:00 p.m. with the United States Marine Band and the United States Army

Chorus to celebrate America."

And in place of the now-canceled event, the president announced a patriotic concert complete

with the national anthem, of course.

"We will proudly be playing the National Anthem and other wonderful music celebrating

our Country today at 3 P.M., The White House, with the United States Marine Band and the

United States Army Chorus.

Honoring America!

NFL, no escaping to Locker Rooms!"

President Trump tweeted.

It seems leftist progressives are the only ones allowed to protest.

Disagreement is not to be tolerated and several people including a few former Eagles took

to social media to voice their own opinions about how President Trump should have handled

the controversy surrounding the protests during the National Anthem.

Former Eagle Torrey Smith contended that President Trump should have simply allowed the "men

and women that wanted to go" to go.

Former Philadelphia Eagles player Cris Carter had a different plan, however.

Carter took to Twitter to state his belief that former President Obama should invite

the Super Bowl champions over for a barbecue after President Trump rescinded his invitation

the Superbowl champs to the White House reception.

Carter tweeted – "President Obama should invite the Eagles to his house for a barbecue."

Many Americans took to Twitter to respond to Carter's idiotic suggestion that Obama

with his Texas-sized ego would even deign to consider hosting a BBQ that did not have

something in it that would directly benefit Obama himself.

A team of leftist progressive entitled prima donnas making millions per year playing a

game for a living, talking trash on social media.

Yes, they most certainly have the right to protest.

However, the first amendment does not guarantee one the right to protest on the job with no

repercussions, especially when those protests directly impact that company's bottom line.

Many Americans view these protests during the National Anthem as a direct slap in the

face to the American way of life, a way of life that affords these very same men the

platform they enjoy to protest in the first place.

They see it as a slap in the face to both active military and veterans and all they

fought, sacrificed, and stand for.

Many that support the protests insist that this is not what the protests are about.

They instead claim the protests are about injustice against the black community, mandatory

minimums, and police brutality against the black community.

The current Eagles team also reacted in a rather odd fashion regarding President Trump's

disinvite to the White House.

The Philadelphia Eagles players canceled community service events.

These events have nothing whatsoever to do with the White House and merely hurt children

and the local communities instead.

The National Football League Players Association issued a statement stating – "Our union

is disappointed in the decision by the White House to disinvite the players from the Philadelphia

Eagles from being recognized and celebrated by all Americans for their accomplishment.

This decision by the White House has led to the cancellation of several player-led community

service events for young people in the Washington D.C. area.

NFL players love their country, support our troops, give back to their communities and

strive to make America a better place."

This statement from the NFLPA makes no sense.

Why would the players cancel community service events in the D.C. area that have nothing

to do with the White House?

So because the president did not choose to meet with the team and celebrate their "accomplishments"

the team is now throwing a tantrum and the community and the kids are going to pay the

price.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are having a team workout (OTA means Organized Team Activity) to protest

the rescinding of their White House invitation.

It seems the Eagles are living up to their reputation of spoiled prima donnas.

Many people are speculating this will end with apologies from the Eagles as President

Trump receives yet another apology.

WH live: President Trump signs veterans' health bill - Duration: 20:21.

walked out in the Rose Garden we know he's getting ready to sign the mission

act the VA mission act of 2018 to give choice and a different health care

option to our military veterans as he steps up to the lectern we will watch

him live ahead of signing we anticipate that he'll make remarks and if that

happens of course we'll be perched here to watch it so we know that people have

just pulled in we've got about two dozen people standing on the stage and fully

seated audience let's watch together and today's the day so it's very important

very happy thank you all for being here this is truly a historic moment historic

time for our country I'll be signing the landmark legislation to provide health

care choice what a beautiful word that is choice and freedom to our amazing

veterans I want to welcome every veteran we have many veterans here today every

caregiver and service member who has joined us on this very momentous

occasion all during the campaign I go out and say why can't they just go see a

doctor instead of standing on line for weeks and weeks and weeks now they can

go see a doctor it's gonna be great you fulfilled your

duty to our nation with tremendous loyalty and courage and with the signing

of this veterans Choice legislation we take one more crucial step in fulfilling

our duty to you we're pleased to be joined today by our great Vice President

Mike Pence along with my nominee to lead the VA Robert Wilkie wherever Robert

Robert stared out Robert

we'll do a great job and working along with Robert is acting VA secretary Peter

O'Rourke so Peter thank you Peter lisby that's a

great that's a great team I also want to thank some of our many leaders I call

them leaders because on this legislation they are indeed leaders you know they

said that it would be very slow its political season we have an election

coming on November 6 as I said it would be very very slow this period of time

and I was just telling Mike you know Mike this hasn't been very slow if you

look we passed dodd-frank right to try we just got 700 billion dollars for our

military that's a big one we needed to get that military is going to be

stronger bigger better than it ever was before hopefully we won't have to use it

very much but the fact that we have it so strong means we probably won't have

to use it as much and I want to thank all of the great people in the audience

that helped us so much on December 22nd which doesn't quite fit into the January

1st date but on December 22nd we signed the biggest tax cuts in the history of

our country that's a big one and we got one point six billion dollars we've

already started the wall on the southern border the wall has started one point

six billion dollars so important I also have to recognize some of the people

that have worked so hard to make all of this happen and Johnny Isakson you here

was Johnny boy as as Johnny been working have hey have you worked with Jerry

Moran and the whole group you and Jerry was Jerry was

that was a lot tougher than we thought right you would think it would have been

easy it makes sense but you would have thought kevin cramer

jim banks Andy Barr Claudia Tenny martha mcsalley are you

doing very well Martha wherever you may be

I hear Martha's doing very well in the great state of Arizona what the word is

Don bacon Brad Wenstrup Jason Lewis cathy McMorris Rodgers who's terrific

Kathy hi Kathy representative Neil Dunn representative Lee's Alton Ann Kuster

and Julia Brownlee I want to just think and I assume we have a couple of others

out there that anybody I didn't announce you want to stand and we'll announce you

you deserve it thank you all very much really it's incredible and finally I

want to thank the fantastic veteran service organizations that helped us

push today's Choice legislation across the finish line whenever I spoke this

was one of the most important things and it was something I got the biggest hand

for people want to take care of our great vets they are a great people four

years ago our entire nation was shocked and outraged by stories of the VA system

plagued by neglect abuse fraud and mistreatment of our veterans and there

was nothing they could do about it they couldn't do anything about it good

people that worked there they couldn't take care of the bad people meaning

you're fired get the hell out of here with us today are many brave veterans

who endured that grave injustice including Steve Cooper and Laura Vela

they served their country with honor only to be denied the medical treatment

they desperately needed to Steve and Laura no one should suffer what you

suffered he suffered gravely no one who defends our country in

uniform should have to fight for their lives when they come back when they come

to their home we commend your strength and courage in

the face of hardship and we pledge to act in your name and in the name of

every other veteran who has been so badly wronged and neglected and

mistreated to those who serve our nation who risk life and limb for country we

must never be denied care access or treatment that they need that is why we

are here today and that is why we are signing this most important bill makes

so much sense it's been so long they've been working on it for years and years

and years and it wouldn't happen and accountability is the other one as a

candidate for president and I promised to make reforming the VA one of my

absolute highest priorities and from the first day of my administration that is

exactly what we've done last year I signed the historic VA

accountability legislation meaning you now can immediately get rid of people

that don't treat our veterans right that robbed us or cheat us or aren't good to

our great vets you can get them out you couldn't do it for 40 years they've been

trying to pass this Phil you know that 40 years and they couldn't made so much

sense but it was hard you have civil service you have unions

of course they'd never do anything to stop anything but they had a very great

deal of power and in the end they came along everybody came along because they

knew it was right so we passed something that hasn't been that recognized and yet

I would put it almost in the class with Joyce almost in the class with Joyce VA

accountability past and now if people don't do a great job they can't work

with our vets anymore they're gone

so we're very proud of accountability in the campaign I also promised that we

would fight for veteran's choice and before I knew that much about it it just

seemed to be common sense it seemed like if they're waiting on line for nine days

and they can't see a doctor why aren't they going outside to see a doctor and

take care of themselves and we pay the bill it's less expensive for us it works

out much better and it's immediate care and that's what we're doing so we're

allowing our veterans to get access to the best medical care available whether

it's at the VA or at a private provider in a few moments I will keep that

promise that I've been making ever since the first day of my campaign it seems

like a long time ago and I'm going to sign legislation that will make veterans

choice permanent and I just can't stress the people here the people in the

audience Senators Congressmen the great people

working at the VA and soon to be secretary Wilkie and and everybody the

work that they've done to get this through is really inspirational to me

I've learned so much from the standpoint that I actually see how hard these

people work and this was very important and Phil and Mike and everybody I really

appreciate what you've done it's been incredible it's in been incredible

it's been four years for 30 40 years they've been trying to get this done and

they haven't been able to and we got it done if the VA can't meet the needs of a

veteran in a timely manner that veteran will have the right to go right outside

to a private doctor so simple and yet so complex this legislation also expands

access to the caregiver program for seriously injured veterans because no

matter where you served or when you fought if you were in

at some point if you wore that uniform then you deserve our absolute best and

that's what we're doing this bill speeds up the claims process increases the

health services expands access to walk-in clinics and fights opioid

addiction these are sweeping historic changes there's never been anything like

this in the history of the VA never been anything close and we will not rest

until the job is fully done my administration has also taken action to

ensure veterans can seamlessly transition their medical records from

the Department of Defense into the VA and I've heard so many stories how

difficult it is almost impossible they said how is that possible it was almost

impossible to do or take years to do we'll do it immediately now we're set up

we have the right systems after years and years of waiting the two departments

will now finally use the same system they're matching today we also mark

another milestone the 74th anniversary of d-day the Allied invasion of Normandy

on June 6 1944 more than 70,000 brave young Americans

charged out of landing craft jumped out of airplanes and stormed into hell they

gave their heart their blood and their very lives of those beaches to drive out

the enemy and strike a lasting victory for our country and for freedom in every

generation there have been heroes like them Patriots who answer the call to

serve who do whatever it takes wherever and whenever we need them to defend

America they put everything on the line for us and when they come home we must

do everything that we can possibly do for them and that's what we're doing

and they can be very proud of their country because literally this week we

have gotten the best financial numbers the best economic numbers the best

numbers on unemployment and employment that we've ever had as a country

strongest economy we've ever had it's so good because we could do so many more

things when that happens including of course jobs among the best job numbers

ever in the history of our country african-american unemployment the lowest

it's ever been in history Hispanic unemployment the lowest it's ever been

in history women unemployment lowest has been in 21 years and soon to be history

a little bit more it's going to be history numbers that nobody's ever seen

we've added 7 trillion dollars since the election 7 trillion dollars to our

country's worth our country's the value the value we've added 7 trillion dollars

to our country's worth we've never had anything like this and I'll tell you

what it's going to get better cutting regulations cutting taxes it's just

starting so it's now my great honor to sign the VA mission Act or as we all

know it the Choice Act and to make veterans choice the permanent law of our

great country and nobody deserves it more than our veterans thank you all

very much thank you

thank you very much all right so the president now has wrapped up his remarks

and he spoke directly to veterans you have fulfilled your duties and now it's

time to give back to them the veterans he said that whenever he was out on the

campaign trail before it was president this was the issue people asked about

most taking care of our military veterans he said this gives them choice

he said no person should have to wait to have you know see a doctor eight nine

days they should have the choice at that point to go see who they want this is

the mission act for the Veterans Affairs that the president has just signed after

comments that really were very detailed and how he sees this issue and has

wanted to help he said in the end he wants to shore up the VA so that

veterans won't even need to use the choice program as much but it's there

for him now it'll take some time to roll this in we've been reporting that maybe

a year or so but we'll cover it as it happens the president signing the

mission act for the VA you saw it live meanwhile the 20/20 campaign is going on

offense against the mainstream media campaign manager

More Black Voters Say They're Better Off During Trump Presidency Than Did During Obama's - Duration: 4:01.

On the campaign trail before the 2016 election, Donald Trump famously stated on multiple occasions

that black voters had "nothing to lose" by voting for him instead of sticking with

their traditional support for Democrat candidates.

He vowed to improve their lives via his economic policies, and those policies have already

reduced black unemployment figures to historically low levels.

Now, a recent poll suggests that a growing number of Americans have taken note of what

Trump has accomplished for the lives of black Americans and are giving him credit for the

improvement.

The latest poll from Rasmussen revealed that 32 percent of likely U.S. voters believe life

has gotten better for young black Americans, with 36 percent stating that life has gotten

worse for them and 26 percent believing that life has remained relatively the same.

Compare those numbers with a similiar poll in 2014, three-quarters of the way through

former President Barack Obama's tenure in office, when only 16 percent thought life

was better for young black Americans, or the mere 13 percent who thought so at the end

of Obama's term in 2016.

Even among just black voters, nearly twice as many — 28 percent — believed life was

better for young blacks under Trump than thought the same under Obama — 15 percent.

To be sure, while it appears Trump is receiving some credit for improvement in the lives of

black Americans, and his popularity among them has increased somewhat, there are still

problems when it comes to the issue of race relations.

The notably improved quality-of-life measurement was couched by the belief of 47 percent of

all voters that race relations in the country had become worse since Trump took office.

That said, the number is still better than the 60 percent who thought race relations

had gotten worse during Obama's time in office.

Some 51 percent of black voters and 54 percent of other minorities, as well as 45 percent

of whites, think race relations are worse now under Trump.

Compare that to 38 percent of blacks, 51 percent of other minorities and 66 percent of whites

who felt similarly during Obama's tenure.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Democrats and independent voters are less likely to think life is better

for young black Americans under Trump than Republican voters who support the president's

policies.

Indeed, while 54 percent of GOP voters think life has improved for young blacks, only about

28 percent of independents think the same and a mere 16 percent of Democrats agree.

Interestingly, of those who believe life is better for young blacks, 54 percent also think

race relations are improving.

Conversely, of those who feel life is worse for black people under Trump, an astounding

94 percent feel race relations are worsening as well, which could say more about them than

Trump, but that is a separate issue.

Especially of note — considering how devastating it is to a central narrative of the Democrat

Party and liberal media — is the fact that 67 percent of voters think that inner-city

crime is a much bigger problem for the nation than alleged discrimination against minorities

by police officers.

As noted, Trump still has plenty of ground to make up with black voters in America to

reach levels of approval and support similar to those held by Democrats, but he has been

gaining in that regard instead of falling back.

Should Trump's economic policies, not to mention a renewal and restoration of the rule

of law in high-crime communities, continue to see success, it is highly likely that his

numbers will grow further among minorities.

In the end, though, the president's policies are colorblind and Trump has made it clear

that he is focused on improving the lives of all Americans — black, brown, tan or

white — something that hopefully more and more voters will acknowledge and accept.

Trump has commuted the life sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, a woman whose case was championed by Ki - Duration: 2:01.

President Trump and Kim Kardashian West. (Associated Press) President Trump on Wednesday commuted the sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, a woman serving a life term for a nonviolent crime, after meeting with reality television star and socialite Kim Kardashian West last week to discuss her case

The action, confirmed by a senior administration official, was the latest in a recent string of pardons and other acts of clemency from Trump, and aides haves suggested more could be on the way

Johnson, 63, was convicted in 1996 and sentenced to life in prison on drug possession and money laundering charges

Kardashian welcomed Trump's action on Twitter, writing "BEST NEWS EVER!!!!" [Trump fixates on pardons, could soon give reprieve to 63-year-old woman after meeting with Kim Kardashian] Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law and senior adviser who helped arrange the meeting with Kardashian in the Oval Office last week, had heavily pushed for leniency for Johnson within the West Wing, according to administration officials, who requested anonymity to discuss internal deliberations

Others in the West Wing, including White House counsel Donald McGahn, had cautioned against the action

President Trump's acts of clemency so far have been scattershot, driven by television segments, celebrities, friends and White House advisers who have pressed their cases for pardons that include controversial Sheriff Joe Arpaio, conservative commentator Dinesh D'Souza and Lewis "Scooter" Libby, former chief of staff to Vice President Richard B

Cheney. Robert Costa and Josh Dawsey contributed to this report.

Giuliani: Mueller's Team Is Trying Very Hard To Frame President Trump - Duration: 7:12.

the reaction or monologue and all the breaking news tonight he's the former US

Attorney for the District of Columbia and that is Joe digenova let me start

with the IG report 18 months later I'm a problem he doesn't but we did have a

good result in the case of McCabe where there was a criminal referral but now

rod Rosenstein and the DOJ they have had this report for now two weeks why am i

suspicions the same guy that has obstructed Congress and won't hand over

the documents that they've subpoenaed to do their congressional to the

constitutional oversight why do I not trust them that they want changes

revisions redactions to protect themselves well the reason is very

simple Sean Rogerson Stein is a careerist he

believes in the institution of the Department of Justice in the FBI to the

exclusion of any accusations of fault and what's happening right now is that

the IG report is being scrubbed by Rosenstein and his minions and people at

the FBI and they are removing as much embarrassing information about the

bureau as possible and unfortunately it's going to delay the release of the

report and perhaps put it out during the Singapore summit this conduct by

Rosenstein and the people responsible for the delay is reprehensible but it is

of a pattern because what they want to do is they want to hurt the president

believe it or not the Deputy Attorney General wants to hurt the president and

he wants to prevent the release of truthful information to deny

transparency to the American people to protect career people inside the

Department of Justice and the FBI what what happened during the campaign and

what happened during the Hillary Clinton email server investigation is a national

disgrace and Rosen Stein should be at the forefront of releasing that

information and instead he is trying to hide substantial portion of me let me so

it's not gonna be Michael Horowitz the inspector general that decides the

release date here so in other words if it's released any time between now and

all through next week with this historic summit taking place in Singapore with

Kim jong-un and President Trump would you agree with me that they're

either burying on a summer Friday weekend or they're burying it during one

of the most historic summits in history well there's no question that that is

their intent otherwise this would have been released a long time ago

the reason it's being delayed is also to allow the lease which you saw today the

partial leak of the description of Kony's insubordination wow that's a big

surprise he was insubordinate he was more than that he not only was

insubordinate he subvert apartment of justice and its core function even

though Loretta Lynch was compromised there sat Sally Yates with all of her

flaws who could have easily described what happened and could have just

decided this case on behalf of the Attorney General but what's happening

out is they're delaying purposely to prevent timely disclosure so you're

convinced that they're definitely going to try and bury this and the person that

would make that decision is who it's not the Inspector General right he doesn't

know it's it's rod rodent I'm the Deputy Attorney General controls the release of

the report the report even though it's going to convert Congress is controlled

by the Attorney General and the inspector general but and they have the

right to make changes for national security or other reasons what we know

changes - pressuring Michael Horowitz to alter right before it right and remember

the the FBI director assigned additional people so that they could respond more

quickly all right let me let me go to what has come out as a relates to what's

supposedly in the insubordination issue which you raised know if we know the

facts in this case it's irrefutable it's it's indisputable at this point it's

incontrovertible at this point Hillary in fact violated the Espionage Act she

put top-secret classified special access programming information on a private

server that's illegal and she lied about it and as I said now that robert muller

wants everybody's phones in case they used one of these applications i guess

you know what's happened whatever you call this stuff so he wants all this

information and interestingly he wants it and I wonder if everybody that has

phones if they did when Hillary and let's delete the emails delete the

app acid-washed the phone break it up to the little bits and take the SIM cards

out how would that work out for all the people Robert Muller's requesting phones

from if they have done any of those steps that you just identified they

would have obstructed justice and we would be subject to prosecution of

course that wasn't the way Hillary Clinton was treated because James Comey

conducted a fraudulent investigation no subpoenas no search warrants no grand

jury massive use illegally of immunity with the permission of the Attorney

General and Sally Yates the Deputy Attorney General so what you have is a

double standard and it's it's just flagrantly visible by the way Muller is

conducting his investigation the ultimate pressure as opposed to the

ultimate no pressure in the Hillary Clinton investigation yeah I just and

what about the larger role we know we've only got a sampling of Struck's text

messages with lisa page oh yeah the absolute hatred they had for Donald

Trump well we broke a story on this program

that said no this is being run out of the Obama White House and then of course

they're the ones that want the insurance policy he's the guy that interviewed

Hillary two days before they exonerated her but they were writing the

exoneration in May this was July he's the guy that interviewed Flynn and said

he didn't lie to the FBI he's the guy that then flew to London and was

involved in the investigation to Trump immediately and Robert Muller appointed

this guy when are the charges against him coming

well I don't think there's any doubt that the Inspector General's report is

going to deal with all of that it's impossible not to and and if it didn't

then of course the horowitz's performance would be abysmal but I

expected to deal with it struck is a very very serious person in all of this

he would probably be someone because of the knowledge that he has of commis and

other activities who may very well be immunized but my guess is is that there

will be criminal referrals from the investigation involving the way the FBI

covered up the Clinton investigation and basically as a bunch of dirty cops led

by the senior dirty cop James Comey through the case it's really the

embarrassing situation in the FBI I have faith because there were 30 FBI agents

that I predict they're going to be the heroes in this story that want to be

subpoenaed by Congress they want to tell the story of how corrupt their bosses

were there'll be the heroes the rank-and-file we can trust them all

right Willie the Unova appreciate it more breaking news when we come back

Sarah Carter great Jared also don't miss Jesse Watters Jessica Tarla who's gonna

win tonight and much more straight ahead

President Trump Just Placed Entire Weight of Russia Witch-Hunt on Sessions Shoulders - Duration: 1:45.

Like most of America, President Trump is sick and tired of the ongoing, pointless Russia

witch-hunt.

Not only is it costing hardworking taxpayers MILLIONS of dollars, it's useless, and after

a year of intense investigation, not one shred of evidence that President Trump colluded

with the Russians to "steal" the White House from Hillary has been uncovered.

Now, President Trump is slamming Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and placing the entire

UNFAIR scope of the "witch-hunt" on his shoulders.

President Trump correctly believes that if Sessions had not recused himself, it would

have never gone this far.

From Washington Examiner

President Trump blamed Attorney General Jeff Sessions Tuesday morning for allowing the

Russia investigation to continue for longer than it should, all because Sessions recused

himself from the probe.

"The Russian Witch Hunt Hoax continues, all because Jeff Sessions didn't tell me

he was going to recuse himself…I would have quickly picked someone else.

So much time and money wasted, so many lives ruined…and Sessions knew better than most

that there was No Collusion!"

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 5, 2018

Trump has repeatedly said he would have picked someone else as his attorney general if he

knew that Sessions was going to recuse himself from the Russia investigation.

His ongoing comments are raising questions again about whether he might try to remove

Sessions from office, although some observers have said it would likely be difficult for

Trump to get a replacement confirmed.

Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian collusion with the 2016 Trump

campaign has gone on for over a year.

Fed Up Donald Trump Unleashes Hell – 'You're Fired!' - Duration: 11:15.

Fed Up Donald Trump Unleashes Hell – 'You're Fired!'

While speaking at the graduation ceremony for the Naval Academy on Friday, President

Donald Trump made the crowd go wild when he uttered his classic line "you're fired!"

"We are taking care — finally, after decades — we're taking care of our veterans.

We passed V.A.

Accountability.

Everybody said it couldn't be done.

That's if you don't do a good job, you couldn't get fired," Trump said, according

to Daily Caller.

"Now, if you don't do a good job, you don't take care of our vets, they look at

you right in the eye and they say, 'Jim, you're fired.

Out, out!

You're fired.

Get them out of there.'"

The audience burst into laughter once they heard this!

"They all said you couldn't get that.

They tried to get it for 35 years.

We just say, 'Get them out of here.

He doesn't take care of our vets,'" Trump continued.

Trump also praised what he described as the re-emergence of American confidence since

he took office.

"Our economy is the strongest it's ever been and our country has regained the respect

that we used to have long ago abroad," he said in the speech.

"Yes they're respecting us again, yes America is back."

He added that a robust military made America safer as "you're less likely to have to

use it if you have it," but said that if the U.S. must fight, then it should fight

to win.

"If a fight must come, there is no other alternative," he said.

"Victory, winning, beautiful words but that's what it's all about."

"We are not going to apologize for America, we are going to stand up for America — no

more apologies," he said in his address to graduates.

"We are going to stand up for our citizens, stand up for our values and stand up for our

men and women in uniform."
