Donald Trump slams Pakistan's 'LIES AND DECEIT' and threatens to withdraw aid - Duration: 4:39.

Donald Trump slams Pakistan's 'LIES AND DECEIT' and threatens to withdraw aid

The began 2018 by alleging Pakistan harboured terrorists and said the country considered US leaders to be "fools".

He wrote: The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools." He added: They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help.

No more! Pakistan has responded angrily, accusing President Trump of being bitter as a result of the US defeat in Afghanistan.

Pakistans Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif told the nation's Geo TV: We have already told the US that we will not do more, so Trumps no more does not hold any importance.

Pakistan is ready to publicly provide every detail of the US aid that it has received." Meanwhile, the Pakistani Minister of Defence tweeted: "Pakistan as anti-terror ally has given free to US: land & air communication, military bases & intel cooperation that decimated Al-Qaeda over last 16yrs, but they have given us nothing but invective & mistrust.  "They overlook cross-border safe havens of terrorists who murder Pakistanis."  .

Pakistan has summoned the US ambassador, David Hale, to the foreign office saying Mr Trump's aggressive tweet threatens the relationship between the two countries.

The US is considering withholding more than £185million ($250million) in aid that it delayed sending to Islamabad in August. The move is being considered due to Pakistans perceived failure to crack down more effectively on terror groups, The New York Times reports.

At the time, President Trump said: We have been paying Pakistan billions and billions of dollars at the same time they are housing the very terrorists that we are fighting. It is time for Pakistan to demonstrate its commitment to civilisation, order, and to peace."  .

Relations between the US and Pakistan have become increasingly strained in recent years over Islamabads alleged support for Haqqani network militants, who are allied with the Afghan Taliban.

Two terror group leaders have been found and killed in Pakistan - former Taliban leader Mullah Mansour was killed by a US drone strike in Pakistan in 2016 while Osama bin Laden was found and killed by U.S.

troops in the Pakistani garrison town of Abbottabad. Mr Trump's tweet has sparked reactions from other powers in the region - India and Afghanistan praised the President's remarks while China defended Pakistans contributions in counter-terrorism.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said: "We have said many times that Pakistan has put forth great effort and made great sacrifices in combating terrorism. It has made a prominent contribution to global anti-terror efforts.

The international community should fully recognise this.  .

North Korea SHOCK warning: Trump WILL use military force if North Korea does NOT back down - Duration: 2:55.

North Korea SHOCK warning: Trump WILL use military force if North Korea does NOT back down

DONALD TRUMP will inflict military force on

North Korea if Kim Jong-un does not abandon his nuclear weapons programme, former US ambassador

John Bolton has warned.

North Korea could be hit by a pre-emptive military strike from the US as it continues

to ramp up its missile fears.

Kim Jong-un has warned a "nuclear button is always on my desk" as he threatened the US

during his New Year's address in Pyongyang.

He said: "The entire United States is within range of our nuclear weapons, and a nuclear

button is always on my desk.

This is reality, not a threat."

John Bolton said the speech from Kim Jong-un was "propaganda" and military force remains

to be a definite option to stop the rogue nation's nuclear ambitions.

Speaking on Fox News, Former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton said: "This is his

regular New Year's speech and obviously he has seen the conversation in the United

States that looks at possible preemptive military force.

"It's not the most attractive option but it is an option that we definitely have to

use if they don't give up their nuclear weapons programme.

"So we need a very careful calibration, exactly what the North's capabilities are."

North Korea's most recent missile test took place on November 29, and the regime said

the Hwasong-15 missile flew 590 miles during its 53-minute flight before landing in the

sea near Japan.

North Korea claimed it was a "pipe dream" to think it would ever give up its nuclear

programme after the UN imposed brutal sanctions to halt Kim Jong-un's regime.

The UN resolution is attempting to ban almost 90 percent of refined petroleum product exports

to North Korea – a resolution which North Korea labelled an "act of war".

Following the UN vote, Donald Trump wrote on Twitter: "The United Nations Security

Council just voted 15-0 in favour of additional Sanctions on North Korea.

The World wants Peace, not Death!"

UN sanctions have forced China to stop all exports of petroleum exports to North Korea

in November, Chinese customs data showed.
