Stanford Marching Band Tries To Trash Trump In San Antonio, Fed-Up Texans Make Them Pay

You would be hard-pressed to find a more liberal university than Stanford, which was evidenced

by the college's marching band during a performance in San Antonio just days after

Christmas.

The band thought that they would use their halftime show at a game against Texas Christian

University to trash President Donald Trump.

However, fed-up Texans immediately made them pay for the irreverent stunt.

Just days after Christmas, Texas Christian University took on Stanford University in

the Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas, but what happened during halftime is what

has really been grabbing people's attention.

Standford's marching band put on a pathetic show compared to that of Texas Christian University's

performance but even worse was the political statement the musicians made on the field.

Instead of being gracious towards their Texas hosts, the Stanford band did everything in

their power to insult them over and over again during their halftime show.

Stanford's band, who has been known for their strange performances, took the field

to mock President Donald Trump, the state of Texas, Whataburger, and the border wall.

As the band was organizing their act on the field, the announcer announced the performance

was named "Texas: Too Big to Fail?" and then said it was sponsored by the White House

Press Office and The Onion.

Shortly after, the band spelled out "fake" and "news" on the field.

Then the announcer stated, "If you tried to build a 50-foot wall along the entire southern

border, the cost of it could only pay for the tuition of about 20 million college students."

But the fans in the stadium were having absolutely none of it as they rained down boos on the

band during their performance.

[Source: IJR] The Stanford marching band's performance

was met with louder and louder boos from the crowd as it dragged on.

The video below shows just how ticked the Texans in the stadium were that the liberal

college students would insult their state, their deeply-held values, and their president. Then

came the "boos" from the audience, as well as a number angry viewers taking to social

media to express just how "pissed" they really were.

"It's halftime at the #AlamoBowl and Stanford's band just dissed Whataburger.

I hope they have a police escort after (the game) because the crowd is pissed," Twitter

user @sammill77 wrote.

The beloved burger chain was quick to jab back with a Tweet, saying "Maybe if the

Stanford band had some Whataburger they wouldn't be so unhappy."

From there it seemed to be "Whata under the bridge" as the band took Whataburger

up on some coupons and hit up the chain's downtown location after the game.

[Source: San Antonio Express-News]Sports games are no place for politics; fans come to watch

their team play, not to be lectured.

Indeed, we all saw the consequences of politicizing sports during the 2017 NFL season when teams

across the country "took a knee" during the National Anthem.

They all paid dearly for this irreverence as fans stopped shelling out money to see

their games and refused to watch them on television, ultimately causing the league to cancel the

last "Sunday Night Football" game of the season, something which has not happened in

four decades.

If the football field is no place for politics, then certainly, college football fields should

be off limits when it comes to making a political statement.

If you had any doubt about that, just listen to the deafening boos coming from the packed

stadium in the video above.

Trump's Golf Trips Cost Taxpayers $43 Million In 2017 - Duration: 4:16.

From the day that he was sworn in on January 20, 2017 to the end of the year December 31st

of 2017 Donald Trump managed to spend 26% of his days as president on the golf course.

Furthermore, he spent 33% of his days at a Trump owned or branded property in the United

States.

These trips, specifically the golf trips that he took in the year 2017, cost US taxpayers

$43 million.

That is the final tally, that is our tab for Donald Trump's constant golf playing.

I know a lot of people and even myself, I've said this a few times, that, hey, it's better

to have him out on the golf course than it is in the oval office signing horrible pieces

of legislation.

Well, I no longer agree with that statement and I wish I hadn't made it in the past.

You know why?

Because we're looking at a tab of $43 million that's coming out of all of our pockets and

basically going directly back into Donald Trump's own personal piggy bank.

That creates a very real problem.

That's not just something that, hey, at least he's not causing any damage because he is.

$43 million.

Do you understand what that kind of money could do here in the United States?

Sure, it couldn't fix massive problems like give us universal healthcare or debt-free

college, but it sure as hell could add more money to the pot for things like Medicaid

or Medicare or social security.

It could help rebuild a couple of bridges maybe, maybe repair some roads that are dangerous

and deadly, or a rail track that's falling apart causing all of these high speed train

disasters.

We could do something useful with that money, but instead we are spending it unknowingly

and unwillingly for the secret service to rent golf carts to follow Donald Trump around

on a golf cart, for the secret service to rent hotel rooms at places like Mar-a-Lago

and order food from Mar-a-Lago chefs that, again, that money goes right back into Donald

Trump's pocket.

This is exactly what he wanted to use the presidency to do, to play golf, to have fun,

to have the power, and to make money.

And so far throughout the entire year of 2017 he played every single person in this country.

We had had reports throughout the year of how expensive it was for the secret service

to rent golf carts and hotel rooms and buy food and the plane trips and all of this.

But not until now did we know that that tally came to $43 million.

$43 million that the working class paid in in their taxes because they thought the government

was going to use it to take care of them.

They thought the government was going to use it to pay teachers a little bit more so we

got better quality teachers and a higher quality of education.

They thought the government was going to use that money to take care of the sick and the

poor and the helpless, the people who need a hand.

But instead, we're using it to pay for a man in his 70s to go play golf at his own golf

courses and then pocket the money himself.

Meanwhile, he's cutting all kinds of programs that were meant to help the rest of us, just

because he can.

Not because he needs to, but because he can.

That's the kind of psychopath that we are dealing with in the White House today, and

hopefully in 2018 we're going to go forward with our eyes a little bit more open, our

anger at just a little bit higher level because we cannot afford another year with Donald

Trump as the president spending 43, maybe even upwards of 50 or more million dollars

a year just to play golf.

That's not what he was elected to do.

North Korea SHOCK warning: Trump WILL use military force if North Korea does NOT back down - Duration: 2:55.

North Korea SHOCK warning: Trump WILL use military force if North Korea does NOT back down

DONALD TRUMP will inflict military force on

North Korea if Kim Jong-un does not abandon his nuclear weapons programme, former US ambassador

John Bolton has warned.

North Korea could be hit by a pre-emptive military strike from the US as it continues

to ramp up its missile fears.

Kim Jong-un has warned a "nuclear button is always on my desk" as he threatened the US

during his New Year's address in Pyongyang.

He said: "The entire United States is within range of our nuclear weapons, and a nuclear

button is always on my desk.

This is reality, not a threat."

John Bolton said the speech from Kim Jong-un was "propaganda" and military force remains

to be a definite option to stop the rogue nation's nuclear ambitions.

Speaking on Fox News, Former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton said: "This is his

regular New Year's speech and obviously he has seen the conversation in the United

States that looks at possible preemptive military force.

"It's not the most attractive option but it is an option that we definitely have to

use if they don't give up their nuclear weapons programme.

"So we need a very careful calibration, exactly what the North's capabilities are."

North Korea's most recent missile test took place on November 29, and the regime said

the Hwasong-15 missile flew 590 miles during its 53-minute flight before landing in the

sea near Japan.

North Korea claimed it was a "pipe dream" to think it would ever give up its nuclear

programme after the UN imposed brutal sanctions to halt Kim Jong-un's regime.

The UN resolution is attempting to ban almost 90 percent of refined petroleum product exports

to North Korea – a resolution which North Korea labelled an "act of war".

Following the UN vote, Donald Trump wrote on Twitter: "The United Nations Security

Council just voted 15-0 in favour of additional Sanctions on North Korea.

The World wants Peace, not Death!"

UN sanctions have forced China to stop all exports of petroleum exports to North Korea

in November, Chinese customs data showed.
