Question: A few months ago I ditched my iPhone and moved over to Google (so liberating!) I had Google pics installed on my old iPhone, and the face recognition tool is something I came to rely upon. Frustratingly, on my new (much improved) Pixel phone, although my vast photograph library is still there, face recognition does not pick up any faces from photos taken before i had this phone!! For example, I have been able to label my daughter, but only pictures of her from the last few months are shown when i search for her by name, despite my having decades worth of clear photos of her. Is there something I need to do? When using Google Photos app on my old iPhone, I could while away hours 'labelling' faces that Google showed me in the 'people' tab. Now it only recognises about 20 faces.
