My daughter had nearly 30,000 photos recognized by Google photo but these few weeks it only recognized 14,000 photos.  The unrecognized photos needed to manually face tag by myself. I tried delete memory, reinstall Google photo, clear cache, undo face grouping but it didn't help.

However, regretfully, your query is not related to some feature in the Google Photos app.

 

Did you make some changes through the Settings -> Chats -> Media visibility in WhatsApp?

Nevertheless, WhatsApp hides the media folder from visibility to other apps usually.

But, you will find directions on how to unhide that on WhatsApp FAQ pages.

 

Additionally,

I suggest you use some file explorer app to view the media content on your phone. If your phone has none, please install the "Files" app by Google. Next, ensure in the setting of the app visibility of hidden files. Then search all the media folders for a hidden file of zero byte size. Delete that file & that should resolve your problem.

Once created, an animation can't be changed or created again unless you still have the original photos you made the animation from. If you do have the originals, you can make a new animation but Google Photos doesn't provide much control over the animation sequence or playback speed.

Masters are stored online at photos.google.com

 

The delete options on Android are as follows

1. Free up space checks that a photo is backed up then deletes it from the local storage
2. Delete in the Google Photos app using the trash
   • Deletes both the device copy and the backed up web copy
   • If internet access is available the photo is put in the web trash and is permanently deleted after 60 days
   • If Internet access is not available the photo is put in the app trash and is permanently deleted after 30 days or when the app data is deleted
3. Delete in the app using the 3 dot option to Delete from the device, either singly or by selecting a batch
   • The photos remain backed up and can be seen both in the app and on the web
4. Delete using a Gallery app (Gallery Go etc)
   • The photos remain backed up and can be seen both in the app and on the web
