I should have had 3 GB of storage space. Now is still asking me to buy storage as the backup won't me be done. I can manage 15 GB i don't need more.

The editor in Google Photos doesn't have any provision to mirror a photo

 

However you can do so through another photo editing app Snapseed by Google.

 

To do so, please follow these steps.

• Tao to open the photo
• Tap Edit
• Slide the menu bar with the leading tab "Suggestions" towards the left to reveal the option "More". Tap on that
• Slide the menu bar with the leading tab "Markup" to reveal the option Snap seed. However, that will be available only when you have Snap Seed installed on your phone
• Once in Snap Seed, tap on the Tools option in the bottom row,
• On the next screen, tap on "rotate"
• Now, in the bottom bar, you will see a filled and another hollow triangle juxtaposed. Tap on that.
• That will create a mirror image. Save this new edit.

I'm surprised this isn't already a feature request, but I don't see this specific issue anywhere in the forums. It it the case you have to download the photo to Google Drive or your computer to share a photo from your Pixel/Android phone in this way?

Whether or not you can go to the eyeglass site and add a photo from Google Photos is in the control of the eyeglass site. Google offers the programming tools (API) for the eyeglass site to access your google photos, but the eyeglass site must implement that programming. Very few 3d party sites have done that. Therefore, yes, you would need to download the photo to your computer - or use your phone to access the eyeglass site, then upload the photo from your phone.

I did repeately tag all images to the new dog and also removed the wrong pet from the album of the old dog, but google repeatedly added wrong dog to the wrong album again and again. What can i do to stop google from doing that? Why cant google pet recognition not simply respect the limited life span of pets ... it could be so easy, that an old dog cannot re appear as a puppy 10 years after his 1st appearence. Or can i simply flag a pets album as closed, because there will not be any new image after the pet died.

The artificial intelligence behind the Google Photos facial recognition is much less advanced when it comes to identifying animals. The simple fact is that there are significantly more unique aspects on a human face than an animal face.

 

So, at least at this time, there isn't much anybody can do to stop the AI from "identifying" a new pet and thinking it's an old pet.

 

There must be something about the two animals that's similar enough to confuse the machines.

There should simply be a „dead flag" which shows the ai the limited life span and stop trying to identify dead pets after their dead. There is simply no need for the ai to distinguish if there would be timely borders. This makes also much sense for humans, since children often look very similar to their parents ;)

To add photos to an album you can:

1. Select one or more photos
2. Tap the + icon and then the album you want to add it to. On Android it immediately creates a new album when you tap "Album". It works better in https://photos.google.com/ on a computer.  

You can also start from an album and add photos.

However, once a user deletes something permanently despite a warning message or allows the content to time out in the bin, Google doesn't maintain any backup. 

There is no way to get back the content through Google Photos.

and run a scan for anything to recover.

Google Photos does extract data from the EXIF data of the photo and stores them in a database linked to the photo. In your case, when the  it looks like there is an error in the database. 

You could try whether deleting a photo (but be sure that you have a backup) and upload it again solves the issue.

I have attempted all of the 2FA methods but it seems like whoever took over my account changed all of my recovery information so that I wouldn't be able to get back in. I am desperate to recover the photos saved in there because they're very important to me. I learned Google doesn't have a phone line I can contact about this and after looking online, it seems like they don't have an email I can reliably get in touch with either. I tried Google Authenticator but have never used it before and don't have any of the information they need to get to my account.
