Unfortunately, it is not possible to restore a photo if you've already moved it to Trash more than 60 days ago.

That being said, if you would like to see this feature implemented in the future, I recommend leaving feedbackabout it through the following steps:

  • Click on Send.
The product team reviews the feedback regularly and uses it to better improve the product overtime.

Once you do free up space, the app will remove pics from your device which are backed up to the cloud.
You will continue to see the thumbnails even when you are offline.
 
However, for any other operation, you will need internet connection. But, that shouldn't be a problem.
Further, having a lot of empty space on the phone not only improves the performance but also provides an opportunity to capture more pics.

Question: Delete Google Album Archive



I am having difficult time deleting photo albums in Google Album.   A section was created in there by Google called Auto Backup.  When I go inside the section there are random dates with pictures in them.  When I go inside any of the dates there are 3 dots in the corner to bring down the menu that gives me the option to "manage in google photos".  I click this option and a new page opens in Google Photos.  In this page I am in Google Photos with another 3 dots in the corner with an option this time to delete the album.   I select delete and I get a popup confirming my request.   I click delete and I get a system message "Couldn't delete album".   
I have multiple random dates with random pictures that don't mean anything and I would like to delete.  I cannot delete any of the random date folders with pictures.  I looked on here and saw others bringing up this issue in the past but could not find any resolution.  Has this issue been resolved?  Is there away to delete photos we no longer want?

Well I am having this issue also.   I have disabled Google Photos on my phone because it's a pain and I have just archived all my photos on Google Photos on my PC.  I have 3 albums with pictures and no way to delete the picture unless you do it one at a time - Open the album and click on the first photo in album and that makes it big.  At the top right is a garbage can just click on that to delete.

Regrettably, once a user deletes something permanently despite a warning message or allows the content to time out in the bin, Google doesn't maintain any backup. 
There is no way to get back the content through Google Photos.

and run a scan for anything to recover.

For the first half a year I have been making animations, using 40-50 photos, same resolution every w…

For the first half a year I have been making animations, using 40-50 photos, same resolution every week. However on making my latest animation without making any changes, the end resolution is much bigger than the previous animations made.

Originally using image resolution of 2268x4032, the resulting animation resolution was 456 x 808 for all animations made. The most recent one has increased this resolution so that it doesn't match the previous examples, and also slows down the animation also. 

If I create the animation on Web, the resulting resolution becomes 576 x 1024 and slows the animation to about half. Weirdly if I create the animation through the mobile app, the resolution is then 608 x 1080 and the resolution is faster, but not matching my original project

Is there anyway I can amend this so the whole project matches?

We can't help because there is no information from Google available about such details. 
And I don't understand why the your project is dependant on such differences. 
 
Animation is a fairly ugly way of presenting a speedy slideshow with one second intervals in much lower and cropped quality (eg 1024x771) then your original shots. 
 
You also can start a normal full screen slideshow by opening a picture and then select Slideshow under the 3 dots. Best to create a nice album before, because then they are showed in chronological order with 4 seconds intervals and the option to pause in order to be able to tell a story to the viewers.

Sorry for any confusion, but I am not aiming to create a slideshow nor a presentation, I've been making animations or the GIF's style format using the animation tool in Google Photos. It's not a project for school or work, its just a sentimental set of animations made from 40-50 images. For about 34 weeks the animation output has remained the same throughout, so the original earlier images of my project have already been removed as were thought no longer needed, not anticipating a last minute inconsistency with the output. This doesn't allow me to redo the earlier animations. The frames per second of the project currently about 4-5 frames a second

Sorry, but you never should should remove your originals from Google unless you have secundary copies on disc which can be re-uploaded if needed.  
I have a very few old animations kept, but always with about 10 pictures at most and they still play with about 1 second per frame and a resolution of 1024 x 770 pixels. 
Maybe the speed is higher when you have more pictures selected. 
 
PS: you can download the file from the site and maybe there is some Gif-editor available in the Windows-stoire in which you can adjust the speed and then can store this setting in a copy-file.

Welcome to the Google Photos forum!
There are functions for sharing with a partner.  
This will allow you to first share from account 2 to account 1 (main) and then from account 3 to 1 account.  First, you will establish a connection between two accounts → send photos to 1 account.  Then you will cancel this function, and create a link between 1 and 3 accounts, after which you will also cancel them.  Check out the recommendations from the Help Center
! • If you have creatives from the Assistant, then you need to download them separately, and load them manually into the first account.
You can find them in the "For You" section or in the search bar write: "creative" or "video" or "movie" or "animation" or "photo effect / effects".

• If you have dialogs in share albums, then they will not be moved.



❗ ▶  Since at this time all files in Photos are taking up storage space, you should check the occupied space in each account.  The free limit is 15 GB.  Thus, you should have fewer files in all three accounts.  See how to check it
 If it exceeds 15 GB, then in this case you can not combine all photos from three accounts;  or you can pay for space for the first account.

Permanently deleted video/photos can no longer be recovered on Google Photos.
 
But there is a third party app that you may try to use to recover your permanently deleted photos/videos.
 
You may download the File Recovery from the Google Play Store(Android Device only).
 
That app can recover permanently deleted files(photos/videos). I'm also using it.

Unfortunately, in Google Photos there are no settings for choosing the speed of animation playback.  
You can do two things: 
1. if these photos are not on the device → download → edit each photo once or twice → upload to Photos → select the original and a copy of the same photo → make an animation, then the photos will be shown as duplicates of one  and the same image and it will seem slow to play.  But the number of files for creating animation is limited, so you shouldn't make a lot of duplicates.  

2. You can make animations on a website for creating gifs and animations, or on a mobile app that has such functionality.  You can find these apps in the Google Store (Android), or the App Store (iOS).

Please review the following information in case there are any options you haven't yet tried. 

1. Check your online account - photos.google.com
If your photos were successfully uploaded to your online Google Photos account they may be available there. Try visiting photos.google.com and searching for them. If you have more than on
2. Check the trash - photos.google.com/trash
Once you delete photos from your Google Photos account, they're moved to Trash for the next 60 days. If you deleted them by mistake you can always restore them from the Trash folder within those 60 days. Here's the link explaining how to recover them from Trash. If you have more than one Google account, check the trash for all of them.
 
If you accessed the Trash and manually sent the photos for permanent deletion, or if the 60 days expired, there is no way to recover them from Google Photos. 
 
3. Review other options
  • if you previously used Picasa, visit picasaweb.google.com and search for your photos. 
  • have you made any backups of the photos on your phone, camera, computer, or elsewhere?
  • there is a small chance that you can restore the photos using a recover deleted photos app (Android). I haven't used them myself so have no specific recommendations. There may well be more app options if you visit the appropriate app store and try other search terms. I don't see any similar apps on the iOS store, but you could check yourself. 
  • you can contact the Google Drive support team to see if any deleted files may be recovered. Use the Google Drive contact form, click Missing or deleted files, select a contact option, and be sure to tell them you permanently deleted files in Google Drive.
  • If you ever shared the photos with anyone else, it's possible they may have a copy they could share back or send to you.

When editing a raw in snapseed, starting from Google Photos, it looks like there is no way to keep exif data, time and date include. 
Ad a risult, copies created with snapseed go at the end of the timeline, disrupting the workflow.
Is there a way to overcome this?

Basically raw-files have no exif at all, so the metadata is added as a secundary file which can get lost when exporting the edited picture from Snapseed. Then it becomes a new jpg-file and apparently Snapseed is not able to connect the data to the new jpg. 
Probably this is a very old problem and because there is not separate Snapseed-forum anymore, this can't be discussed with the original designers anymore like some years agoo.  
So your problem goes outside the scope of this Google Photos forum. 
You may try the option to saved the file as a re-editable one, because then the original raw stays present in background - probably together with its data-package. 
I can't check myself and no Google here. 
But another expert volunteer may jump-in hopefully.

Just checked because it was long agoo. 
If you come from Google Photos, you only can export your edited picture in Snapseed as a new jpg-file with the actual date. But if you still have the original raws on phone in local memory, you can open them straight in Snapseed and then you can choose to save as a copy and then you (probably) will keep the original date. 
But I can't test that  with raw-files.

That is not that strange Claudio, because the Snapseed-editor is not well integrated with the editor in Google Photos anymore. And to my impression Snapseed itself is not improved since years. 
So what are the specific reasons to use Snapseed apart from being freeware? 
 
PS: if your raws come from a good camera, you should edit them on pc and then upload exported jpg's to Google in order to avoid these problems.

I use snapseed to ease the workflow.
My pics go directly from camera to Google Photos leveraging the canon existing integration, and the integrated editor in GPhotos lacks some important things like histogram.
BTW I'll use Lightroom free.

Do I understand well that you can connect your Canon-camera straight to your smartphone? But then the files in the Canon-folder does not need to synced to Google Photos directly and then you can pickup the original files in Snapseed straight from that folder and then the date-problem maybe solved if you export as a copy and not just press ready. 
PS
Of course you may try Lightroom free, but it is (like all software from Adobe) quite userunfriendly and its editor is poor compared to Snapseed (unless you start paying perhaps). But you only will find-out with trying yourself for a week.

Lightroom free has a way more reliable light control in my opinion, like exposure control separated from lighting.
BTW I'd use gphotos integrated editor but histogram is too important for me. When I change light I only look at it

Then I wonder if it still are RAW-files because these are by far too large to send fast, but also GP can downgrade them to jpg's. 
In all years with Google, I have learned that the oldmodish way via computer still is the best way. And there is no need to have raws in cloud - they can be stored on disc and probably never will be used again. 
But for computer you don't have Lightroom Free :-)

Regrettably, there is no other option but to pay through a credit or debit card that allows creating a recurring charge. Google pay should be able to deduct the required amount every month & RBI has modified the regulation related to that.
Creation of a third party charge would need bankers concurrence. 
I suggest, you contact your banker & have the card features changed.
