Trump news on Youtube Feb 17 2019

Our top story this evening.

The second North Korea-U.S. summit is just around the corner,… and U.S. President Donald

Trump expressed high hopes of a fruitful discussion with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and hailed

Pyeongyang's economic potential.

Our Won Jung-hwan starts us off.

Optimism is growing ahead of the upcoming North Korea-U.S. summit in Vietnam,... scheduled

to take place at the end of this month.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that he is hopeful the next summit will be QUOTE

"very much equally as successful" as the first summit in Singapore last June.

"I hope we have the same good luck as we had in the first summit.

A lot was done in the first summit."

These latest remarks come after Trump praised North Korea for suspending its ballistic missile

and nuclear tests,... and returning the remains of fallen American soldiers from the Korean

War.

The two sides had seemingly reached an impasse... amid U.S. demands for more concrete steps

toward denuclearization and North Korean calls for corresponding measures.

However,... Trump said he is in no rush to denuclearize North Korea,… and simply wants

the regime to refrain from testing nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles to maintain

good will.

"Now where are we now?

No missiles, no rockets, no nuclear testing, we've learned a lot.

But much more importantly than all of it, much more important, much much more important

than that is we have a great relationship.

I have a very good relationship with Kim Jong-un."

Trump took a brief swipe at North Korea, saying the Pyeongyang regime had taken advantage

of the U.S. in the past... by taking billions of dollars worth of aid in exchange for promises

of denuclearization.

While emphasizing that it won't happen again... Trump hailed North Korea's economic potential,

dangling the prospect of growth and prosperity... should the regime continue on its path of

peace.

In regards to sanctions,... Trump says they remain firmly in place...

although his cabinet has recently hinted at a more flexible approach... given that North

Korea meets the right conditions.

REM publisher asks Twitter to remove video tweeted by Trump over song use

A satirical video using music from rock band R.E.M., which was shared by the Twitter account of President , has been removed from the social media site after the publisher of the bands songs complained.

A lawyer for Universal Music Publishing Group had reached out to Twitter on Friday asking that the video, which was first posted by another user, be taken down from the platform, according to a source familiar with the situation, who asked to remain anonymous.

The clip, which runs more than two minutes in length, plays audio from R.E.M.s early 90s hit single "Everybody Hurts" over excerpts from Trumps Feb. 5 State of the Union address.

But, as of the early hours Saturday ET, Twitter users could not play the video posted by Trump, and many saw a message that read, "This video has been removed in response to a report from the copyright holder."

The creator of the video that the president tweeted Friday, self proclaimed Trump supporter @CarpeDonktum, accused Twitter of censorship after the clip became unplayable on the platform.

The clip, clearly meant to mock a selection of lawmakers in Congress, cuts lines from Trumps speech together with reaction shots of stern looking politicians whom Trump has criticized in the past. They include Sen. Bernie Sanders, I Vt., Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, D N.Y., and Sen. Mitt Romney, R Utah.

Trumps tweet with the video clip had been pinned to the top of his accounts page by Friday afternoon. But it appeared to have been un pinned by Saturday.

The White House did not immediately respond to CNBCs questions about the presidents tweet. A spokesman for Twitter declined to comment.

Trump has drawn criticism for using copyrighted content before: The Rolling Stones "You Cant Always Get What You Want" was often used at the end of Trump campaign rallies and has been used at Trump events since he became president. The band urged Trump to stop using the song, .

In November, Trump tweeted an image of himself featuring the text overlay "Sanctions are coming," which . HBO said at the time that they "would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes," but the presidents tweet was not taken down.

R.E.M. bassist Mike Mills took notice of the use of his bands song in the video that Trump tweeted Friday.

"Measures have been taken to stop it," Mills tweeted, adding that Twitter CEO needs "to get on this."

Mills said that the president had retweeted the video from Twitter account @CarpeDonktum, who is credited in the video. That account defended using potentially copyrighted material in its own content.

Mills, for his part, celebrated the removal of the video with a tweet calling back to .

R.E.M. reached a publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group in .

Trade negotiators have just returned from China where the meetings on Trade were very productive

Now at meetings with me at Mar-a-Lago giving the details. In the meantime, Billions of Dollars are being paid to the United States by China in the form of Trade Tariffs!  — Donald J

TRUMP DROPS HAMMER ON CALIFORNIA – GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES 'END OF THE LINE - Duration: 5:11.

TRUMP DROPS HAMMER ON CALIFORNIA – GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES 'END OF THE LINE

Trump refused to help, so California's new governor is canceling the big liberal dream.

Liberals in California were just hit with a monster budget shortfall.

After winning office, Governor Newsom proposed an insane $144.2-billion spending plan to

fund his ridiculous left-wing schemes.

But last month, the state was $2.602 billion short of the $9.233-billion budget projection.

Why?

Because people are fleeing California over its high tax rates.

The leftist government has run California into the ground, and now they're having

to admit defeat on one of their most prized liberal dreams to get rid of the cars that

are apparently "destroying our planet" – the high-speed rail.

President Trump would not allow the federal government to fund the exorbitant project.

From Cal Matters: One of those hurdles comes from the Trump

administration itself, which decided last February to hold off on approving a $647 million

grant that would have helped electrify a stretch of track slated for future high-speed train

traffic.

And now the final nail is in the coffin.

From Fox News: California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced on

Tuesday he is pulling the plug on the state's massive high-speed rail project from Los Angeles

to San Francisco that was more than a decade behind schedule and billions in the red.

"Let's be real," Newsom said in his first State of the State address.

"The current project, as planned, would cost too much and respectfully take too long.

There's been too little oversight and not enough transparency."

It's refreshing Newsom admitted that the bullet train was nothing more than yet another

liberal scam.

The train has already cost California taxpayers billions, and has been under construction

since 2008.

And now neither the politicians who advocated for it nor the people who voted for it have

anything to show for their efforts.

Higher land acquisition costs, the need for safety barriers, and increasing demands from

stakeholders have added billions to the project and pushed the completion date to 2033.

At this point, cutting and running is really the only option the Democrats have left.

It's also what they're best at.

For all the Left's talk about using the government to improve society, this bullet

train has only enriched a select few and left many others destitute, just like all Democrat

plans do.

Republican and San Diego Councilman Mark Kersey stated last year that all the billions wasted

on this train, "could have been invested in our current infrastructure needs, such

as water storage, flood control, highways and bridges."

But California is like the millennial of states.

They have many grand ideas, but no ability to implement them.

ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE WHEN DONALD TRUMP DECLARED THIS STATE OF EMERGENCY

SCHUMER AND NANCY PELOSI WERE BOASTING.

THE DEMOCRATS WERE TOASTING THE REALITY THEY TRUSTED THEY HAD BLOCKED DONALD TRUMP FROM

BUILDING HIS OUTSKIRT DIVIDER.

IN ANY CASE, AT THAT POINT POOP HIT THE FAN IN WASHINGTON WHEN PRESIDENT TRUMP PRONOUNCED

THIS HIGHLY SENSITIVE SITUATION.

RINO REPUBLICANS JOINED DEMOCRATS AND CONSENTED TO A FRINGE SECURITY BARGAIN THAT GAVE JUST

1.375 BILLION DOLLARS IN SUBSIDIZING FOR 55 MILES OF OUTSKIRT FENCING.

BE THAT AS IT MAY, IF THE DEMOCRATS – AND RINO REPUBLICANS – THOUGHT PRESIDENT TRUMP

WOULD ACKNOWLEDGE ROUT, THEY WERE DEAD OFF-BASE.

PRESS SECRETARY SARAH HUCKABEE SANDERS DISCHARGED AN ANNOUNCEMENT REPORTING THE PRESIDENT WOULD

SIGN THE SPENDING BILL AND PROCLAIM A NATIONAL HIGHLY SENSITIVE SITUATION TO ACCESS MILITARY

DEVELOPMENT ASSETS TO CONSTRUCT THE DIVIDER.

"PRESIDENT TRUMP WILL SIGN THE ADMINISTRATION SUBSIDIZING BILL, AND AS HE HAS EXPRESSED

PREVIOUSLY, HE WILL LIKEWISE MAKE OTHER OFFICIAL MOVE – INCLUDING A NATIONAL CRISIS – TO

GUARANTEE WE STOP THE NATIONAL SECURITY AND PHILANTHROPIC EMERGENCY AT THE FRINGE," HUCKABEE

SANDERS PROCLAMATION STARTED.

THE PRESS SECRETARY WRAPPED UP BY EXPRESSING, "THE PRESIDENT IS BY AND BY CONVEYING ON HIS

GUARANTEE TO MANUFACTURE THE DIVIDER, ENSURE THE OUTSKIRT, AND SECURE OUR INCREDIBLE NATION."

TRUMP'S SUPPORTERS IN CONGRESS CHEERED THE MOVE.

HOUSE FREEDOM CAUCUS CHAIRMAN MARK MEADOWS TWEETED, "DEMOCRATS' REFUSAL TO ARRANGE HAS

RENDERED CONGRESS AWKWARD AT CARRYING OUT ITS RESPONSIBILITY TO SECURE AMERICANS.

NOW POTUS IS COMPLETELY DIRECTLY TO UTILIZE PROTECTED OFFICIAL ACTIVITY SPECIALIST TO

MANUFACTURE THE DIVIDER AND SECURE OUR OUTSKIRT.

THIS IS A NATIONAL CRISIS.

I COMPLETELY BOLSTER HIM."

ALABAMA TRADITIONALIST CONGRESSMAN MO BROOKS TALKED ON THE HOUSE FLOOR FOR THE PRESIDENT

UTILIZING THE NATIONAL EMERGENCY ACT TO SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT FOR THE FRINGE DIVIDER.

CREEKS ROARED, "AMERICA'S MILITARY SECURES THE FRINGES OF, AND LIVES IN, SOUTH KOREA,

IRAQ, SYRIA, AFGHANISTAN, EUROPE, AND NUMEROUS DIFFERENT NATIONS.

AMERICA, AND AMERICANS, MERIT NO LESS SECURITY!"

FOUNDATION REPUBLICANS – AND MANY PHONY NEWS JOURNALISTS – WRUNG THEIR HANDS ABOUT

TRUMP'S "STANDARD BREAKING CHOICE."

HOWEVER, TRUMP DID NOT DISREGARD ANY INSTITUTIONAL SHIELDS OR BREAK NEW GROUND.

THE SUPERVISOR OF THE FEDERALIST, SEAN DAVIS, CALLED ATTENTION TO THAT OVER THE MOST RECENT

18 YEARS, PRESIDENTS HAVE UTILIZED NATIONAL CRISIS STATEMENTS MULTIPLE TIMES FOR ALLOTMENTS.

"THE MEASURE OF GASLIGHTING FROM INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE PROFESSING TO RESTRICT OUTSKIRT SECURITY

ON PROCEDURE WHEN THEY REALLY CONTRADICT FRINGE SECURITY ON STANDARD (YET WOULD PREFER NOT

TO LET IT OUT) IS AN INCREDIBLE SIGHT.

SINCE 2001, POTUS HAS UTILIZED CRISIS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR ALLOTMENTS *18 TIMES.*" DAVIS TWEETED.

A FEW PRESERVATIONISTS OBJECTED TO TRUMP'S TURN.

THEY CONTENDED A FUTURE DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT WOULD UTILIZE A SIMILAR POINT OF REFERENCE

TO SANCTION WEAPON CONTROL OR THE "GREEN NEW DEAL."

HOWEVER, TRUMP SUPPORTERS CONTEND BACK THAT IT'S PROFOUNDLY DUBIOUS DEMOCRATS WOULD ACKNOWLEDGE

BEING HINDERED BY CONGRESS AND WOULD HAVE UTILIZED EACH MEAN AVAILABLE TO THEM TO SANCTION

THEIR PLAN REGARDLESS OF WHETHER PRESIDENT TRUMP CHOSE NOT TO PRONOUNCE A NATIONAL CRISIS.

DO YOU BOLSTER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP ANNOUNCING A NATIONAL HIGHLY SENSITIVE SITUATION TO MANUFACTURE

A FRINGE DIVIDER?

TELL US YOUR CONSIDERATIONS IN THE REMARK SEGMENT.

2020 DEMOCRATS INSIST THEY ADORE ONE ANOTHER

AS MANY AS NINE DEMOCRATIC SENATORS WILL SOON BE JOSTLING FOR THE RIGHT TO TAKE ON PRESIDENT

DONALD TRUMP — A PRIMARY ELECTION THAT'S EXPECTED TO BE NASTY, BRUTISH AND LONG.

BUT IN THE EARLY DAYS OF THE CAMPAIGN, IT'S BEEN ALL SUNSHINE AND RAINBOWS INSIDE THE

SENATE DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS.

THE FLOCK OF PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFULS HAVE NOT SPARRED AT CAUCUS LUNCHES, ACCORDING TO MULTIPLE

SENATE DEMOCRATS, OR ATTACKED ONE ANOTHER IN THE PRESS.

TO THE CONTRARY, THEY'VE PORTRAYED ONE ANOTHER AS LONG-TIME FRIENDS ALL WORKING TOWARD THE

COMMON PURPOSE OF DEFEATING TRUMP.

COUNTDOWN TO 2020

THE RACE FOR 2020 STARTS NOW.

STAY IN THE KNOW.

FOLLOW OUR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION COVERAGE.

"LOOK AT WHO'S RUNNING.

I DON'T SEE ANY OF MY COLLEAGUES WHO HAVE BEEN NASTY IN THE PAST," SAID SEN.

CORY BOOKER (D-N.Y.), WHO JUMPED INTO THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE EARLIER THIS MONTH AND IS

RUNNING ON A MESSAGE CALLING FOR MUTUAL KINDNESS AND RESPECT.

BOOKER HAD JUST PRAISED SEN.

AMY KLOBUCHAR (D-MINN.)

FOR HER PRESIDENTIAL LAUNCH IN WHITEOUT CONDITIONS IN A PRIVATE CONVERSATION.

HE ALSO RECENTLY EXCHANGED PLAYFUL TWEETS WITH SEN.

SHERROD BROWN (D-OHIO), WHO'S MAKING MOVES TOWARD A WHITE HOUSE RUN.

IT'S ANYONE'S GUESS WHETHER THE CHILL VIBE WILL LAST ONCE THE PRIMARY IS FULLY JOINED

AND THE COMPETITION FOR SUPPORT INTENSIFIES.

VOWS TO RUN POSITIVE ATTACK-FREE CAMPAIGNS OFTEN FALL BY THE WAYSIDE ONCE THE STAKES

GET REAL.

BUT IF THEY KEEP IT UP, IT WOULD DEFY EXPECTATIONS OF AN 18-MONTH SPECTACLE OF WORKPLACE AWKWARDNESS

AND HOSTILITY — AND OFFER A GLARING CONTRAST TO THE REPUBLICAN SLUGFEST IN 2016 BETWEEN

FOUR GOP SENATORS WHO RAN FOR PRESIDENT.

"WE'RE NICER PEOPLE.

I MEAN LOOK WHO THEY PRODUCED," BROWN — ONE OF A DOZEN SENATORS INTERVIEWED FOR THIS STORY,

INCLUDING FOUR ANNOUNCED 2020 CANDIDATES — SAID OF REPUBLICANS AND TRUMP.

"OF COURSE IT WILL STAY NICE, WHAT KIND OF ANSWER DO

YOU THINK I'M GOING TO GIVE YOU?"

Trump's Tax Cuts Are REALLY Screwing Over American Workers - Duration: 6:08.

Well, more and more people continue to file their tax returns, most of them working class

folks hoping to get that refund that they get every year and so far more than 16 million

Americans have already filed and completed their taxes.

I'm very envious of those people because I haven't even started.

I'm very terrified to do it.

And here's why.

Of those 16 plus million people who have filed their tax returns already, nearly 10 percent

of them said that their refund has gone down even though their income did not go up in

2018 to put it another way, almost 10 percent.

We're at about eight and a half percent actually.

Uh, their income didn't go up, their expenses didn't change.

Basically 2018 was a carbon copy of 2017 and yet they owe more money or they get less money

back then they did in 2018.

And I can't even say they owe more money because all that eight and a half percent say is that

their refund amount went down even though everything else stayed constant in their income.

Another 24 point three percent aren't getting a refund at all.

And in fact found out they owe money this year.

So when you add those two together, we're at about 35 percent, one third of working

class people here in the United States who have already filed their taxes that are either

getting less money or they owe money.

Whereas in the past they would have gotten money back and this is 100 percent the result

and the design of the Republican tax cut that was passed at the end of 2017.

You see middle class people working class people, even the underclass of people here

in the United States, they took away what we can deduct from our taxes.

They took away a lot of the benefits that we could use to help reduce the amount we

would owe or to increase the amount we would get back.

And I'm not talking about massive increases going from like a $2,000 refund to a $4,000

refund.

Know what I'm talking about is maybe going from a $2,000 refund to a $2,300 refund.

Because believe it or not, for a lot of us here in this country, that extra $300 would

make a world of difference.

That $300 might be a medical bill that's been sitting on your dresser for nine months.

And I say that because I know that because I got one, it's been sitting there collecting

dust because I can't touch it yet, but at the same time we're getting screwed and we're

owing more or receiving less because they took away our benefits.

They took away teacher's ability to write off supplies that they buy for their own classroom

out of their own pocket.

We can't write those off anymore, but you know what can be written off, uh, the cost

of a private jet.

So if you bought a private jet, you can actually write off almost, depending on how much the

jet cost up to 100 percent of the cost.

I have a private jet, but teachers can't write off buying a new globe for their classroom.

But you know, somebody like Jeff Bezos or Bill Gates or Warren Buffett or Sheldon Adelson,

they can write off their new private jet.

If they bought one last year, they can because that's how the tax system in the United States

works and you wonder why so many people start to hate this system, why they love the idea

of socialism, because what we've got going on right now isn't working.

It's not.

It's working for the top one percent.

Bernie Sanders has said that a lot recently and he's right.

If you're in the top one percent than hell.

Yeah.

Things have never been better.

I mean, getting to write off the cost of a multimillion dollar private jet, it doesn't

get any more disgusting than that.

The 99 percent, we're getting screwed.

We're getting screwed in every possible opportunity.

We're not getting the tax cut.

Not at all, not even a little bit in the American public is waking up to that.

They understand that and millions upon millions more are going to understand that when they

file their taxes in the next coming weeks, but the wealthy elite aren't going to have

to deal with that.

They're going to be more concerned about, oh, did I?

Did I remember to write this thing off?

Oh, do I get to pay $0 like Netflix did in taxes last year?

We're the ones getting screwed.

We're the ones making up for the lost tax revenue that is being used for this massive

one percent tax cut.

Everybody.

The most important thing you can do right now is to not forget that because if you forget

about that or if you let it go, or if you say, well, you know what?

That's not that big of a deal.

Then the Republicans have already won 20 slash 20.

But if you keep that with you, and I mean that quite literally, I want you to take a

copy of your 2019 and eventually your 20 slash 20 taxes with you.

When you go to vote in the 2020 election and before you start filling out that ballot,

I want you to pull those taxes out of your pocket, the letter from the irs showing that

you got less back or that you owe more than usual.

And I want you to read that and I want you to remember what party did that to you.

And then I want you to cast your vote in 20 slash 20.

If we forget how horrible this is, if we lose hold of the anger that we have now about this,

then again, the Republicans have already won.
