Trump news on Youtube Jan 22 2019

The International Monetary Fund is kind of sounding the alarm bells right now because

they have had to, once again adjust their economic growth forecasts downward because

they see the global economy shrinking and retracting right now and they've laid out

several issues where they, that they say these are partly responsible, you know, some part

for each of them for this global economic slowdown, and two are the things that they

have pinpointed are one, obviously the government shut down here in the United States having

huge economic consequences for us, which then spreads throughout the globe, but the second

and probably more important than just the shutdown are donald Trump's trade wars, his

trade war, specifically.

Those with China are creating a global tension right now according to the IMF that is causing

a retraction in economic activity, not just in the US, not just in China, but all over

the world.

You know, something as seemingly simple as Trump.

Putting tariffs on Chinese goods has impacts all around the globe and they're not good

impacts, right?

This isn't helping anybody.

It's not helping us here in the US because we're the ones who those costs are passed

along to and we ended up having to pay it.

Why?

Because there are plenty of goods that come from China that were either unable to produce

in the United States at least in the mass quantities that we need to purchase them or

to.

We simply don't have the operations here that are producing those, so even when he slaps

them with tariffs and then they pass those prices onto us in the form of price increases

to make up for it, we still have to pay them so we lose even more money.

I never doubt that the citizens of the United States are the ones who are paying for this

trade war.

Couple that with the government shutdown in the reduced spending power of 800,000 people

and the businesses who depended upon them and the ripple effects continue.

China right now is experiencing their own economic slow down.

That is not completely related to the trade wars.

Part of it is, but a lot of it just has to do with the fact that their economy right

now is shrinking.

Also have to factor in what's happening with brexit right now.

The will they won't they, their governments in shambles as well kind of situation and

overall we're creating an economy across the globe that is poised for economic collapse

or at the very least, that is what the experts, the people who do this for living, are trying

to warn us about the horrid policies in the UK.

The shrinking Chinese economy and the horrendous policies coming from Donald Trump himself

are having global impacts that are going to affect each and every citizen of planet earth.

MASSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT ,TRUMP COMPLETELY DESTR0YS SESSIONS - Duration: 10:40.

MASSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT ,TRUMP COMPLETELY DESTR0YS SESSIONS

president Trump sounding off the commander-in-chief blasting Attorney General Jeff Sessions in

an interview with the hill saying this quote I don't have

an attorney general it's very sad the president long disappointed with

sessions over his decision very early on in the administration to recuse himself from

the Russia investigation he also expressed frustration with sessions in other

areas saying I'm not happy at the border I'm not happy with numerous

things not just this here now brie Payton a staff writer for the Federalist

brie is there any way that sessions can stay on as Attorney General after the midterms

yeah I mean really that's the question of the hour and I do think the political

makeup in Congress is going to really determine that right I mean if

the Republicans are able to hold the majority in the Senate I think that that's going to

be a key factor in whether or not Jeff Sessions does indeed stay

I think that if Republicans do you know regain control of the Senate I

think that we could easily see a different person get confirmed in that spot but I think

that right now the math is purely political and I think Donald Trump

understands that and I think

perhaps the reason why he hasn't yet fired jeff sessions or gotten rid of him or you

know acted upon all of these verbal outbursts that he's been expressing

over the past couple of months I think that you know he

understands that it's political and he's looking ahead at November looking ahead at the midterms

and understands that he needs to be strategic here well given the

fight of our Brett Kavanaugh being appointed to the Supreme Court at this

point it looks so smart that the president hasn't moved to fire jeff

Sessions because getting him getting another Attorney General confirmed even though it

seemed like just several weeks ago Chuck Grassley before these developments

with the Cavanaugh

appointment it seemed like Grassley had opened the door to possibly hearing about a replacement

for Jeff Sessions but again smart move in hindsight yeah absolutely

yeah I mean again this is all politics at this point and right now

definitely the recent developments with Kevin all these accusations that have been made

against him have definitely thrown a monkey wrench into a lot of plans

of people on the hill I mean Republicans are looking at

potentially a narrow window in which they have in order to pass a bunch of legislation

and kind of cement the Republican legacy right I mean they've been

able to have control of both houses and the presidency and that could very

well and easily change in November so

they have a short window of being able to pass a bunch of legislation and kind of cement

that legacy so I think it is clear that you know it's all political at

this point putting aside the the politics of the

situation do you do you feel that the sessions has run the department well it seems like

the bureaucracy is running him more than he is running the bureaucracy

and in term and a lot of issues not just the border but all of

these investigations he what's happening there why you know it's one thing to recuse yourself

from Russia but they're a whole lot of other things he could have

done to reshape that they're turning over the data of the documents

that the Congress has everything jason Chaffetz has talked about Bryan Pagliano basically

turned his back on two subpoenas from the Oversight Committee and

Chaffetz himself went to Jeff sets and just said you got a equal

application of the law here you've got to prosecute this guy for not showing up for

these two subpoenas and Jeff Sessions went I'm not going to do that that's

a clinton a clinton guy so bri answer Steve's question yeah I

definitely think that it's become abundantly clear in these releases earlier releases of

text messages and emails and you know o IG investigations

I think it's clear that there's a faction of employees within the FBI that have you

know clearly acted kind of gone rogue and done their own thing and done what

they wanted to do and I think that we're definitely the dynamic between

sessions and rod Rosenstein wall the Moller investigation you know is under

way I think it is clear that there is a flank of the FBI that sessions does not have control

over but I do think that sessions throughout his tenure in office has

executed other aspects of Donald Trump's legacy and agenda right I mean

cracking down on the border protecting religious liberty and doing other things like that

so there that sessions is in the same mind I want to get to this real quickly I bid to

stop Nancy Pelosi a group of House Democrats have signed a letter to change

rules for electing Speaker bring your reaction to this move to make sure

Pelosi doesn't regain her formal role yeah I'm not at all surprised I mean Democrats

have been speaking out that

there needs to be leadership changed particularly among the house for I mean probably a year

and a half right now right with Linda Sanchez kind of kicking off

that firestorm against Nancy Pelosi so I definitely am not at all surprised

by this and remember when Nancy Pelosi and her kind of quasi filibuster in order to push

individuals to vote a certain way when it came to shutting down

the government in order to protect the dreamers her entire caucus virtually

voted against her while she was trying to do that and she tried to save face later on

by saying yeah I was filibustering for this one thing but I really

wanted the complete opposite outcome it's clear that you know her

caucus doesn't respect her in this and the only reason why they kept her in

that role is because she's such a good fundraiser it's like taking your mom with you to the

mall wait I want to get I want to get Maria in here she is this incredible

fundraiser them read do you think she stays if do you think that

what happens if the Democrats do you take the house I think there will be a big leadership

fight that Nancy Pelosi has never had to face the challenge is that

there's not a natural successor Joe Crowley actually was one I really wanted

him to be the next speaker and he will not be in the next Congress so right now there's

a lot of jockeying inside the Democratic caucus to see who could replace

Nancy Pelosi as a Democrat what I don't want is the first thing we do if

we take the house get into a really

nasty leadership fight Nancy Pelosi is a historic figure I do though think it's time for new

leadership the Republicans are gonna get it Paul Ryan's leaving you know

I know you know that she's gonna use her gender as a sword and a stick to

whack people with she's gonna use it as a immuno shield and then a stick a woman may

run against her because the wealthy yeah at the end of the day you have

to run somebody against her and we're worrying that caucus what kind of

public persona is gonna be out there all right and being able to raise money is a big thing

so if that's all she's good at that's being so could vote counting though

inside the

caucus and there but there are other people now who are raising money there are other

people who are stepping up there's just not one one person everyone's

getting behind yeah but there's only one person who said there's

two thousand dollar bonuses crumbs pathetic I think never letting it go no because you

know what two thousand dollars is not crumbs to anybody in this country

that's great bumper sticker though every paid thank you so much good

to see bring meanwhile political storm here know the sort of storm here the president

blasting his Attorney General yet again repeated charges against what he's

doing that's hurting lawmakers on his side to the federal is senior editor

Molly Hemingway update me on the president's beef with sessions on this

well there are so many problems that President Trump has with sessions and some of them are

quite legitimate recently though he tweeted that he was opposed

that the Department of Justice had indicted two sitting congressmen so

soon before an election and that these were safe seats that Republicans held and so it

was sort of politically inappropriate to go after them at this time

it is true that the Department of Justice generally used to try to avoid

indicted people right before elections that's something that's kind of gone away in recent

years but this is ridiculous that you would say that one of

the reasons why you shouldn't go after them is because they were in safe

safe districts for your political party that's just as bad as when the

Department of Justice was politicized under President Obama when he would say that Eric

Holder was his wingman or when he weighed in on the Clinton investigation

while she was still being investigated so just generally a lot of

blame to go around here um be that as it may obviously the president isn't firing him and

it's pretty clear the jetsons isn't offering to quit maybe other stuff is

going behind the scenes that I'm not seeing but this is weird the whole thing

is weird well what's really weird is that our Attorney General was sidelined based on

a sort of crazy theory of Russia collusion and he was he accused himself

from anything overseeing either the Clinton campaign or the Trump

campaign which turns out to be two of the areas where we really could use some leadership

and political accountability

and so I think Jeff Sessions what tremendously naive and it's a disservice to the American

people and to the president they elected that he has sidelined

himself and given authority to someone who's also implicated in both of

these things remember that rod Rosenstein whose role intents and purposes the acting

Attorney General and many of these things was the guy who recommended

firing James Comey he also signed off on one of those FISA

applications this riddled with information that should not have gone before the secret

court that determines whether you can spy on an American citizen we really do have a

problem with the Department of Justice not being

credible right now or seeming to have

political bias and how it handles investigations that have that are politically sensitive and

it would be really good to have some accountability which

we just don't have and they're avoiding responding to Congress as

Congress tries to get information about some of the ways that these investigations were

handled and so it really is a mess and it's a mess in part because

Jeff Sessions recused himself when he really was needed well is a big

sin and maybe a regretful error but it is what it is and it happened a long time ago

you could argue the point if the president was so flummoxed and and

Trump's One Shutdown Success: Making Civil Service Less Attractive - News Today - Duration: 7:02.

Brenda Meskunas was furloughed from her job with the Department of Homeland Security last month, forcing her to apply for unemployment insurance in Ohio to cover her bills. To qualify for the benefits, Meskunas had to demonstrate to the state that she's actively seeking work.

So she applied for two administrative jobs in the private sector. They both pay better than her current position. They might lack job security, but federal government paychecks aren't reliable either these days.

"I've been with the government for 10 years, but if I'm offered a decent package, I would seriously consider taking it," said Meskunas, 56. ""

For workers like her, one of the most worrying effects of the record-setting partial government shutdown is the way in which it's making civil service less attractive. President Donald Trump's demand that Congress provide $5.7 billion for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border has led to the furlough of 380,000 federal workers, and an additional 420,000 deemed "excepted" have been working without pay.

The shutdown marked its 31st day Monday, making it at least 10 days longer than the previous record. Nine of 15 agencies and roughly a quarter of government functions are affected by the lapse in funding.

If the Trump administration really wants to diminish the federal workforce, a prolonged and painful shutdown could help toward that goal. Whether they're longtime civil servants or relatively new to the government workforce, many federal employees feel less secure and less valued each day they're locked out of their jobs.

The uncertainty could easily lead many of the most productive employees to leave government for other work or could discourage some of the brighter prospects from ever applying.

"We're going to see the fallout from this for a while," Meskunas predicted.

Grinding away at federal job security has been a hallmark of the Trump administration.

Last year the White House issued a handful of executive orders aimed at weakening collective bargaining rights and making it easier to fire government workers. Key portions of those orders were blocked by a federal judge. The administration has also sought a pay freeze for civilian federal employees, resetting an automatic across-the-board raise to zero, and considered cutting federal worker pensions.

Trump called federal employees working without pay "great patriots" on Sunday. But he also insulted furloughed workers last week, even as many are forced to seek loans from family members or accept food giveaways to feed their children. He retweeted a column from The Daily Caller, attributed to an anonymous Trump official, arguing that the shutdown is a good thing because the majority of federal workers don't do anything.

"We do not want most employees to return, because we are working better without them," the author wrote. Trump retweeted his son Donald Trump Jr., who called the article "worth the read."

To the unions representing federal employees, it often feels as if the Trump administration is at war with its own workforce. Despite their middle-class wages, federal workers have found themselves lumped in with the Washington "swamp" that needs draining. Never mind that most federal workers don't even live in the D.C. area.

"They know that this administration is hostile to them and their work," said Jacque Simon, the political director at the American Federation of Government Employees, a union representing 700,000 federal employees.

Even so, she said she is not overly worried about workers being discouraged from entering civil service, despite the current uncertainties.

"One thing I'm continually impressed by is the depth of commitment," she said. "A lot of our members are veterans. There's a strong public service ethos. And as far as young people coming into government, there's always going to be people who care about the public good."

The sense of public service is part of what attracted Rick Fernandes to government work. An Army veteran who served in Iraq, he said he made excellent money selling insurance but decided to seek out a stable federal job instead. He took a vast pay cut when he accepted a position with the Interior Department in Nevada. He figured the job security and sense of purpose could make up for the loss in salary.

"I noticed in the private sector many people were losing their jobs and not necessarily because they were bad employees," said Fernandes, 33. "If you were looking for security and longevity, [the federal government] is probably one of the last institutions for that, other than the military."

After just a year and three months on the job, he has experienced three government shutdowns already. The first, last January, lasted three days, and the second, in February, just a few hours. Like the current one, both of those were due to lapses in government funding. Even though they were short-lived, those shutdowns still diverted federal agencies from their core missions by forcing them to develop contingency plans and prep for furloughs.

The current shutdown has made clear to Fernandes that his livelihood will be used as leverage in political fights. Without any savings, he might have to seek a second job in order to be prepared for more shutdowns.

"I was always reassured by more tenured employees that [shutdowns] only last a couple days. … I thought a week or so, at most," he said. " This shutdown proves it's not as stable as most people think."

As the shutdown nears the one-month mark, it still isn't obvious how it will come to an end. Trump has offered to restore protections for certain undocumented immigrants and refugees after previously moving to restrict them but is still demanding $5.7 billion for a border wall that he used to say Mexico would pay for. Most Democrats quickly dismissed that offer, insisting that Trump agree to reopen shuttered agencies before bargaining over border security.

Meanwhile, furloughed workers like Meskunas are at home tracking the news closely, waiting for any sign of a breakthrough to get them back on the job. At least until the next shutdown, anyway.

"It's wearying," she said. "It's like when the sea erodes the beach. You just feel like you lose a little more of yourself every time it happens."

Leslie Jones Slams New 'Ghostbusters' As 'Something Trump Would Do' - News Today - Duration: 2:43.

Comedian Leslie Jones has blasted plans for a new "Ghostbusters" movie, one that would ignore the franchise's female-centric 2016 iteration, as "a dick move."

Sony Pictures announced last week that it had tapped Jason Reitman to direct an all-new "Ghostbusters" that would follow the timeline of the 1984 original, which starred Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Harold Ramis. A two-time Oscar nominee, Reitman is the son of Ivan Reitman, who directed the first "Ghostbusters" and its 1989 sequel, "Ghostbusters II."

The new film, scheduled for release in 2020, will reportedly focus on four teenagers (two boys and two girls) but will steer clear of references to 2016′s reboot. That movie, directed by Paul Feig, introduced four women (played by Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig) as a new spook-hunting team but was otherwise unrelated to its two predecessors in the series.

On Saturday, Jones fired off at the news, calling it "so insulting" and "like something Trump would do."

The actress and comedian clarified her remarks Sunday on Twitter, noting, "I'm allowed to have my feelings."

Though 2016′s "Ghostbusters" raked in a reported $229 million at the worldwide box office, the movie received mixed reviews. The Guardian called the film "a misfiring remake," while Variety said it "suffers from a disappointingly strong case of déjà vu."

Reitman, who scored Academy Award nominations for 2007′s "Juno" and 2009′s "Up in the Air," told Entertainment Weekly that his "Ghostbusters" would be "the next chapter in the original franchise" introduced by his father 35 years ago.

"What happened in the '80s happened in the '80s, and this is set in the present day," he said in an interview published Tuesday.

As to the decision to ignore 2016′s "Ghostbusters," he said, "I have so much respect for what Paul created with those brilliant actresses, and would love to see more stories from them. However, this new movie will follow the trajectory of the original film."

Under Trump, EPA Has Basically Stopped Prosecuting Corporations Who Poison Americans - Duration: 3:56.

Today we reflect upon the legacy and life of Dr Martin Luther King Jr, and what we have

to realize when we look back at at his accomplishments, how he furthered civil rights in this country

was the pioneer that really lead a new generation here.

What we have to understand is that racism, unfortunately in the United States today is

still alive and well and I'm not just talking about the racism that we see every day.

We see it coming out of the administration.

We see it coming out of his followers.

We see it in our day to day lives when I'm talking about is the racism that nobody is

really talking about right now, and this is one that affects the lives and livelihoods

of countless people of color here in the United States and that is environmental racism.

Recently a new report came out showing that St James Parish in Louisiana is absolutely

one of the worst cases of environmental racism here in the United States today.

Population 221,000, roughly 85 percent of that non white residents and recently what

they've done is they have designated this area where nearly a quarter of a million people

live as an industrial site, and what that means is that this area that's already known

as cancer alley, because of the amount of petrochemicals that get dumped into the, uh,

environment in that area, they want more.

They want to dump more corporate toxins into this area that is predominantly African American.

Stories like this play themselves out every single year here in the United States.

It is true that industrial pollution effects people of color in the United States to a

greater degree than it affects average white citizens.

That is a fact.

We have corporations aided and embedded by state and local governments and even the federal

government who specifically target communities of color to become their new dumping grounds.

We are sentencing people in this country to an early death just because of where they

live.

That's been the emo of corporate America for decades now.

They don't want to dump their toxic chemicals in wealthy neighborhoods.

They don't want to dump them in white neighborhoods if they can avoid it, but they will if they

have to, so they specifically target out poor communities of color and that's what's happening

down in St James Parish and countless areas all over this country today and that is what

we call environmental racism.

They figured these people either are too poor to uneducated to know what's actually happening.

They know that these people won't necessarily fight back and because they're targeting a

community that seems to be forgotten.

There's not gonna be any lawyer swooping in to save the day for these people, but that's

where they're wrong because it happens every time and unfortunately without the government

stepping in.

In fact, as I mentioned, the government is torn making this worse.

It's up to the trial lawyers.

It's up to the people who are willing to go out there and fight back against these corporations.

It's up to the leaders in the community to speak out against it, which is exactly what

is happening in St James Parish right now.

These people are showing up at town halls.

They're showing up at meetings of the powerful demanding answers as to why their city, their

parish has become the new dumping grounds for corporate America, and in that regard,

the spirit of Dr Martin Luther King Jr does live on.

He is inspired us and he is inspiring those people who are still the victims of this disgusting

form of racism to continue to fight back, to never sit there and just accept that they

have become the Guinea pigs for corporate America's toxins.

They're fighting back and we have to join them in this fight or else we are complicit

in what's happening to these communities.

EXCLUSIVE: What the FBI Did After Trump Fired Comey - Duration: 7:11.

Today on Declassified an Epoch Times exclusive:

McCabe's FBI Tried to Re-engage Christopher Steele After Comey Was Fired.

That's right, Transcripts of congressional testimony by DOJ official Bruce Ohr shows

how the FBI went back to the disgraced source between Comey's firing and Mueller's appointment.

This article by Epoch Times contributor Jeff Carlson.

Just before we start Please feel free to subscribe,

like and hit the notifications button.

Ok so, In the days following the firing of FBI Director James Comey by President Donald Trump,

the FBI, under Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe,

sought to re-engage with former MI6 spy and author of the Steele dossier, Christopher Steele.

The FBI's attempts to re-engage Steele,

who had been fired by the FBI six months earlier for breaking protocol by talking to reporters,

were soon thwarted by the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller.

McCabe appears to have been blindsided by the appointment of Mueller,

who was appointed as special counsel on May 17, 2017,

the day after a meeting with Trump and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in the oval office.

The appointment of Mueller shifted control of the Russia investigation from the FBI and McCabe to Mueller.

Rosenstein would retain ultimate authority over the probe,

and any expansion of Mueller's investigation required authorization from Rosenstein.

McCabe had been a key player in the FBI's counterintelligence investigation of the Trump presidential campaign,

which relied heavily on information provided by Steele.

The FBI also obtained a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) spy warrant

on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page using the information.

Former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr served as a key conduit in transferring information from Steele,

both before and after the FBI terminated Steele,

along with information from Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson.

On Aug. 28, 2018, testimony before Congress by Ohr,

which was reviewed for this article,

sheds new light on McCabe's involvement in the investigation.

His testimony also illustrates how Steele and Simpson passed their information targeting Trump to the FBI,

using Ohr as an unofficial back-channel.

Ohr, per his testimony, reported directly to then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates.

Prior to a series of demotions that occurred in December 2017 and January 2018,

Ohr held two titles: associate deputy attorney general

and director of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force.

Ohr testified that he had known Steele since 2007,

when they met during an "official meeting" while Steele was still employed by the British government.

After that, they maintained contact approximately "once a year."

Ohr had also "met Mr. Simpson on various occasions over the years" and his wife,

Nellie Ohr, had also known Simpson for "several years."

A 2010 report by the National Institute of Justice listed the three as participants in a paper.

Nellie Ohr, who would join Fusion GPS in late 2015 as a Russia analyst,

was listed in the report as working for the CIA's Open Source Works as a researcher.

On July 30, 2016,

Bruce and Nellie Ohr met with Steele and an unknown associate of Steele's.

Almost immediately, Ohr would initiate a meeting with FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe

to detail his conversation with Steele.

Also present at the meeting was McCabe's counsel, FBI lawyer Lisa Page,

who would play a key role in the counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign.

Shortly thereafter, on Aug. 15, 2016,

FBI agent Peter Strzok would send the now-infamous "insurance policy" text referencing McCabe to Page.

Later that same month,

the FBI suddenly reached out to Steele asking for the information in his possession.

Ohr would also meet with Simpson on or around Aug. 22, 2016.

At that point, Ohr says in his testimony,

he was aware that his wife was working for Simpson's company as a contractor,

that Steele worked for Fusion GPS as well,

and that there were ties to the Democrats and Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.

Ohr would have another meeting with Steele on Sept. 23, 2016,

and would also meet either that same month or early October with Strzok, Page,

and Justice Department (DOJ) career officials from the criminal division,

Bruce Swartz, Zainab Ahmad, and Andrew Weissman

(Ohr testified that he was unsure whether Weismann was at this or a later meeting).

Sometime in late 2016,

Nellie Ohr provided her husband with a memory stick containing the research

she compiled while employed at Fusion GPS.

Bruce Ohr testified he gave the memory stick to FBI agent Joe Pientka.

Nellie Ohr had left Fusion in September 2016.

Steele was terminated as a source by the FBI on Nov. 1, 2016,

for communicating with the media.

Despite this, Bruce Ohr and Steele communicated regularly for another full year,

until November 2017.

Ohr relayed all these communications with Steele to the FBI through Pientka and possibly two other handlers.

On Nov. 21, 2016,

Ohr had a meeting with Strzok and Page and was introduced to Pientka,

who became Ohr's FBI handler.

Pientka was also present with Strzok during the Jan. 24, 2017,

interview of Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

The next day, Nov. 22, 2016, Ohr met alone with Pientka.

Ohr would continue to relay his communications with Steele to Pientka,

who then recorded them in FD-302 forms.

During a meeting on Dec. 10, 2016, Ohr met with Simpson,

who gave him a memory stick that Ohr believed contained the Steele dossier.

Ohr passed the memory stick to Pientka.

Ohr, in his testimony, detailed his interactions with Steele and Simpson,

as well as his communications with officials at the FBI and DOJ.

Notably, Ohr repeatedly stated that he never vetted any of the information provided by either Steele or Simpson.

He simply turned it over or relayed it to the FBI—usually to Pientka.

What Ohr didn't know was that Pientka was transmitting all the information directly to Strzok.

If you would like to read the full details of Ohr's testimony,

Giuliani Accidentally Reveals The Existence Of Trump Tapes - Duration: 8:02.

Rudy Giuliani has not had a good couple of days and in fact every time he speaks to a

reporter or a TV host, he just seems to be making things worse for the president.

See you on Sunday.

Giuliani.

Spoke to both the times and to, uh, NBC's Meet the Press where he mentioned that Donald

Trump's Trump tower Moscow meetings or talks or negotiations or whatever it was.

Yeah.

Those weren't on throughout Donald Trump's entire presidential campaign contradicting

what Trump himself and the rest of the administration had been saying for months.

They said, no, this ended before he even ran for president.

Then Giuliani goes out there.

Tools, multiple different outlets that.

No, no, no.

They were, they were doing this the whole time.

The entire time he was running for president, they were still trying to make this deal happen,

which as many of us know, this deal is obviously the kind of centerpiece of potential collusion.

Maybe this was used as leverage by one party over the other.

Who knows, but Giuliani says, yeah, they, they never stopped talking about that.

And then later in the day he had to come out and say why?

Yeah, I was, I was wrong about that.

I, I was, I was speaking hypothetically, is what he said.

He says this was hypothetical.

So they were only hypothetically still talking about Trump tower all throughout the campaign.

I don't think that Giuliani knows what hypothetical means.

Uh, but sure.

Okay.

Why not?

Yeah, it was hypothetical.

They weren't actually talking, but they could have hypothetically been talking.

Uh, and then he made things even worse than that, if you can imagine it.

He spoke to the New Yorker in an interview published on Monday, uh, where he was talking

about the Buzzfeed story with Michael Cohen.

And he said, I knew from the start that this Koan story was bogus because I've heard all

the tapes.

In fact, this is exactly, exactly what he says.

Ah, I've been through all the tapes.

I have been through all the techs.

I have been through all the emails and I knew none existed.

None existed.

Being instances of Trump telling Cohen to lie.

And then basically when the special counsel said that, just in case there are any others

I might not know about, they probably went through others and found the same thing to

which the reporter then asked, wait, what?

What tapes have you gone through in Giuliani responds, I shouldn't have said tapes.

They allege there were texts and emails that corroborated that Cohen was saying that the

president told him to lie.

There were no texts, there were no emails on the president, never told him to lie.

Reporter then follows up.

So there were no tapes he listened to though Giuliani says no tapes.

Well, I have listened to tapes, but none of them concerned this.

So there's tapes but there's not tapes.

But there are tapes.

But they don't talk about this specific instance.

Again, another big thing that we've been wondering about all of these investigations and all

of the shady things that Cohen did on behalf of Donald Trump is whether or not Cohen actually

recorded the conversations.

Michael Cohen was a guy who liked to record things.

We've heard a couple of the recording's already and now Giuliani comes out and accidentally

admits like, yeah, I've listened to all these tapes that, oh crap, they don't exist, nevermind.

Sorry, but they are real, but they're not about this there about other things and Mueller

has the tapes and he probably listened to them too.

That's a pretty big deal, right?

I mean, this guy not only just admitted that what we'd all suspected is in fact true, but

he also just kind of negated a lot of talking points from the administration and he is supposed

to be the one out here representing Donald Trump and saving him from all of this nonsense.

Now, just a quick point about that buzz feed story just to you calm everybody's nerves

because right now you still have people saying no, no, no.

Every, every bit of it's true.

Probably accept maybe like one thing.

And then others who say, no, Buzzfeed's totally busted on this.

I'm just going to tell a quick story.

During the Watergate era, when they were doing those investigations, Woodward Bernstein put

out a story before the massive one came out, uh, alleging a lot of things that happen.

They spoke to a source and they reported that the source had, uh, said some things in a

testimony to a grand jury and they reported them.

But then here's the thing, the grand jury or a special prosecutor to come out and say,

no, this isn't true.

This did not happen.

So what order Bernstein, you know, this was before they got huge and famous.

They were crushed.

They thought for certain that their entire Watergate thing was based on lies and that

it wasn't going to a bear.

Any fruit here.

Turns out the reason the special prosecutor's office came out and debunked there story was

because that information was never given during testimony that was given during another circumstance.

So that was the only part of the story that was wrong.

And when you look at Mueller's offices, uh, you know, saying this story's not true in

some regards.

It could be something as simple as that.

It could be.

Well, they said it came from texts and emails when in fact it came from tapes that would

make their story technically factually inaccurate and that they did not gather that information

in the manner in which Buzzfeed reported, so there is that.

It could also mean that everything Buzzfeed said was an absolute lie.

We don't know.

We won't know until the end of this investigation, but for the time being, it's best to just

understand that we don't know what's true from that, so put it aside for now.

Nonetheless, the more Rudy Giuliani goes out there and talks the worst, he's going to make

things for president of the United States, and that is what we should be focusing on

right now because over the last three days, Giuliani has either intentionally accidentally,

perhaps he's a double agent working for Trump, who knows at this point, but that guy has

seriously slaughtered multiple talking points from this administration just because of his

sheer stupidity.

Trump's AG Pick Made Millions From Corrupt Corporations - Duration: 4:26.

We see it in our day to day lives when I'm talking about is the racism that nobody is

really talking about right now, and

this is one that affects the lives and livelihoods of countless people of color here in the United

States and that is environmental racism.

It is true that industrial pollution effects people of color in

the United States to a greater degree than it affects average white citizens.

CONFIRMED!! TRUMP JUST STUNS THE WORLD WITH THIS FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT ON BORDER!! TOP DEMS PANIC!! - Duration: 10:04.

CONFIRMED!!

TRUMP JUST STUNS THE WORLD WITH THIS FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT ON BORDER!!

TOP DEMS PANIC!!

just a short time ago I had the honor of presiding over the swearing-in of five new great American

citizens it was a beautiful ceremony and a moving reminder of

our nation's proud history of welcoming illegal immigrants from all

over the world into our national family I told them that the beauty and majesty of citizenship

is that it draws no distinctions of race or class or faith or

gender or background all Americans whether first generation or tenth

generation are bound together in love and loyalty friendship and affection we are all

equal we are one team and one people proudly saluting one great

American flag we believe in a safe and lawful system of immigration one that upholds our

laws our traditions and our most cherished values unfortunately our immigration

system has been badly broken for a very long time over the decades

many presidents and many lawmakers have come and gone and no real progress has been made

on immigration we are now living with the consequences and they are

tragic brought about by decades of political stalemate partisan gridlock

and national neglect there is a humanitarian and security crisis on our southern border

that requires urgent action thousands of children are being exploited

by ruthless coyotes and vicious cartels and gangs one in three

women is sexually assaulted on the dangerous journey north in fact many loving mothers

give their

young daughters birth control pills for the long journey up to the United States because

they know they may be raped or sexually a constant or

assaulted nearly 50 migrants a day are being referred for urgent medical

care vast quantities of lethal narcotics are flooding through our border and into our communities

including meth cocaine heroin and fentanyl drugs kill seventy eight

thousand Americans a year and cost our society in excess of seven hundred

billion dollars heroin alone kills 300 Americans a week ninety percent of which comes across

our southern border we can stop heroin illegal immigration reduces wages

and strains public services the lack of border control provides a

gateway in a very wide and open gateway for criminals and gang members to enter the United

States including the criminal

aliens who murdered a brave California police officer only a day after Christmas I've gotten

to know and love angel moms dads and family who lost loved

ones to people illegally in our country I want this to end it's got to

end now these are not talking points these are the heartbreaking realities that are hurting

innocent precious human beings every single day on both sides of the

border as a candidate for president I promised I would fix this crisis and I

intend to keep that promise one way or the other our immigration system should be the

subject of pride not a source of shame as it is all over the world our immigration

system should be the envy of

the world not a symbol of disunity and dysfunction the good news is these problems can all

be solved but only if we have the political courage to do what is just and what is right

both sides in Washington must simply come together listen to each other

put down their armor build trust reach across the aisle and find

solutions it is time to reclaim our future from the extreme voices who fear compromise

and demand open borders which means drugs pouring in human trafficking and

a lot of crime that is why I am here today to break the logjam and provide

Congress with a path forward to end the government shutdown and solve the crisis on the southern

border if we are successful in this effort we will then have

the best chance in a very long time

at real bipartisan immigration reform and it won't stop here it will keep going until

we do it all the proposal I will outline today is based on first and

foremost on input from our border agents and homeland security professionals and professionals

they are they know what they're doing it is a compassionate response to the ongoing tragedy

on our southern border in recent weeks we have met

with large numbers of Democrat lawmakers to hear their ideas and

suggestions by incorporating the priorities of rank-and-file democrats in our plan we

hope they will offer their enthusiastic support and I think many will

this is a common-sense compromise both parties should embrace the radical

left can never control our borders I will never let it happen walls are not amoral in

fact they are the opposite of

a because they will save many lives and stop drugs from pouring into our country

our plan includes the following 800 million dollars in urgent humanitarian assistance

805 million dollars for drug detection technology to help secure our

ports of entry an additional 2,750 border agents and law enforcement professionals 75

new immigration judge teams to reduce the court backlog of believe it or not almost

900,000 cases however the whole concept of having lengthy trials for

anyone who sets one foot in our country unlawfully must be changed by Congress it is unsustainable

it is ridiculous few places in the world would even consider such

an impossible nightmare our plan includes critical measures to

protect migrant children from exploitation and abuse this includes a new system to allow

Central American

minors to apply for asylum in their home countries and reform to promote family reunification

for unaccompanied children thousands of whom wind up on our border doorstep

to physically secure our border the plan includes 5.7 billion dollars

for a strategic deployment of physical barriers or a wall this is not a 2,000 mile concrete

structure from sea to sea these are steel barriers in high priority

locations much of the border is already protected by natural barriers

such as mountains and water we already have many miles of barrier including 115 miles

that we are currently building or under contract

it will be done quickly our request will add another 230 miles this

year in the areas our border agents most urgently need it will have an unbelievable impact if

we build a

powerful and fully designed see-through steel barrier on our southern border the crime rate

and drug problem in our country would be quickly and greatly reduced

some say it could be cut in half because these criminals drug smugglers

gangs and traffickers do not stop at our border they permeate throughout our country and they

end up in some places where you'd least expect them they go all

over our country a steel barrier will help us stop illegal immigration

while safely directing commerce to our lawful ports of entry many of these security ideas

have been proposed by Democrats themselves and all of

them have been supported by Democrats

in the past including a physical barrier wall or fence furthermore in order to build the

trust and goodwill necessary to begin real immigration reform there are

two more elements to my plan number one is three years of legislative

relief for 700,000 daca recipients brought here unlawfully by their parents at a young

age many years ago this extension will give them access to work permits

Social Security numbers and protection from deportation most

importantly secondly our proposal provides a three-year extension of temporary protected

status or TPS this means that 300,000 immigrants whose

protective status is facing expiration will now have three more years of certainty so

that Congress can work on a larger raishin deal which everybody wants

Republicans and Democrats and our farmers and vineyards won't be affected

because lawful and regulated entry intoNour country will be easy and consistent that is

our plan border security daca TPS and many other things straightforward

fair reasonable and common-sense with lots of compromise

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has pledged to bring this bill to a vote this

week in the United States Senate our proposal is not intended to solve all

of our immigration challenges this plan solves the immediate crisis and it

is a horrible crisis it is a humanitarian crisis like we rarely see in

our country and it provides humanitarian relief delivers real border

security and immediately reopens our federal government if we are successful

in this effort then we can start the border project of remaking our immigration system

for the 21st century once the government is open and we havemade

a down payment on border security and immigration reform starts to happen

I plan to convene weekly bipartisan meetings at the White House so we can do a finish product

a great product a product that we can all be proud of having

to do with that elusive immigration problem whatever we do I can

promise you this I will never forget that my first duty and ultimate loyalty is to you

the American people any reforms we make to our immigration system

will be designed to improve your lives make your community safer and make

our nation more prosperous and secure for generations to come thank you and God bless

america
