Trump veers from Pentagon with plan to exit Syria

President Trump insisted Tuesday that he wants U.S.

troops out of Syria and will decide on a withdrawal "very quickly," putting him at odds with advisers who say the job of defeating the Islamic State terrorist group isn't finished and with U.S.

allies that fear a quick withdrawal would hand Syria, Iran and Russia a strategic victory in the region.

The Pentagon has deployed about 2,000 troops in Syria in the fight against the Islamic State, a mission that the president said is "almost completed.

" They are fighting alongside Kurdish and Arab allies while giving Washington key leverage in the diplomatic endgame of the brutal 7-year-old Syrian civil war.

The Syrian regime has scored major battlefield gains in recent months, including the near-complete ouster of rebel and Islamist groups around the capital of Damascus.

Russia and Iran have provided critical military aid to the government of President Bashar Assad to help turn the tide of battle.

"It's time," Mr Trump said at a White House press conference with the visiting leaders of the three Baltic nations.

"Sometimes it's time to come back home, and we're thinking about that very seriously.".

Mr Trump suggested that allies such as Saudi Arabia, which fiercely oppose Mr Assad and have lobbied the U.S.

to stay in the fight, could help foot the bill for the American deployment.

"We've had a tremendous military success against ISIS," the president said.

"I want to get out, I want to bring our.

Giuliani Says Trump WILL NOT Answer Anymore Questions For Mueller - Duration: 4:44.

Rudy Giuliani has flipped flopped once again and insist that Donald Trump is 100 percent

done answering any questions from special prosecutor Robert Mueller a couple of weeks

ago.

Rudy Giuliani told us that Trump would answer more questions over his dead body and he's

not dead yet.

And then two days after that interview he told Axios that maybe he'll answer some more

questions via writing.

Who knows?

I mean, crazy times.

We live in.

Well, then he told the hill tv this week that absolutely under no circumstances is Trump

going to answer any more questions.

So here's where we're at right now in terms of Donald Trump talking with Robert Mueller.

Essentially, if Giuliani is to believe, to be believed based on what he said the other

day, not going to happen.

So here are the possible outcomes.

At this point.

Robert Mueller could, if he felt the need to do so, uh, issue a subpoena compelled Donald

Trump to testify, Trump would refuse, that would likely get appealed all the way to the

supreme court.

And then we're looking at some kind of constitutional crisis, possibly where the supreme court could

give the president immunity, or they could absolutely say, nope, you're going to go talk

to him when Trump would then again refused and that would, that would lead to the constitutional

crisis.

Hopefully that scenario doesn't play itself out.

And to be honest, I don't think it's going to.

What's much more likely to happen at this point is Robert Mueller is just going to say,

okay, I don't necessarily need you to.

I was hoping you would maybe see where you stand on some of these issues.

But really at this point, Robert Mueller is not talking to Donald Trump or at least wanting

to talk to Donald Trump because he wants information from him.

He wants to see where his story stacks up compared to all of the other stories that

he's heard from everyone else.

He wants to know if Donald Trump is going to sit down with them and be honest and open

and completely truthful, or if he's going to lie his ass off like we all predicted would

like Rudy Giuliani basically said he would.

And then we can also bust him on perjury, but without that we still have plenty of opportunities

to bust him on perjury after all, they have already submitted one set of written questions

to Robert Mueller.

So again, I think Mueller has all that he needs.

So then that begs the question, is this the beginning of the end or will this fight with

Donald Trump not answering any more questions result in an even longer investigation?

Again, not sure it's going to make it longer.

I think Robert Mueller again knows what he knows, has what he needs and only wanted to

sit down with Donald Trump as more of a to see where his story stacks up against everybody

else's.

But here's the thing, and this actually might be the only thing Rudy Giuliani has done that

a decent, not good, but decent lawyer would also do.

And that is by not sitting down to answer more questions with Robert Mueller, it's going

to at least give them a little bit of clearance when that final report comes out to say, oh,

well he never talked to us about this.

We could have easily refuted it.

You'd have to be a complete idiot to buy into that, but then again, have you seen some of

the folks that support the president still?

They're going to believe it and that's what Giuliani is hedging his bets on at the moment.

He thinks that by not answering any more questions, that will give them enough of a space to say,

well, we didn't get to answer those questions.

We didn't to weren't presented with those.

We didn't have the opportunity and enough of the Trump base is going to believe it.

Unfortunately, that Trump base is a very small portion of the entire American public.

Basically they're going to side with Robert Mueller.

They're going to read the report, figure out what happened, and then base that against

what Rudy Giuliani who has been a serial liar through all of this has to say, and at the

end of it, regardless of the outcome here, you know, whichever one of these scenarios

turns out to be true, none of them end well for the president of the United States or

his grossly incompetent lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.

Ann Coulter Can't Make Up Her Mind About Trump - Duration: 4:27.

Ann Coulter cannot seem to make up her mind about where she stands on Donald Trump, you

know, just a few years ago, she actually wrote a book that seemingly was written overnight

in Trump.

We trust because she was certain that Donald Trump was coming to Washington dc to enact

all these horribly racist conservative policies as she was going to be right there with them

the entire way, and then over the last two years, there's been this roller coaster ride

with Ann Coulter and Donald Trump.

Every time he says we're going to build the wall, she starts salivating and swooning over

sweet, sweet Donald who's doing exactly what he promised, and then every time he backs

off that, she's calling for his head to roll because she hates him so much and thinks he's

a horrible human being.

Who's conned us all?

Well, one of those and cultures is actually right, but it's not the one who's swooning

over Trump.

It's the one who admits that he is a con man willing to say whatever it takes to get elected,

and Ann Coulter is one of those people who actually got conned.

Now I know there's still some some rumblings.

Is he going to get the funding for the border wall?

Is a coming in February?

Will they get it by New Year's Eve?

Who the hell knows at this point?

Uh, the answer is no.

He's never going to get the funding for the border wall and I think Ann Coulter knows

that, but before any of these arguments even started last week and culture talked to the

daily caller where she said that Donald Trump is likely to be the last republican president

ever elected in the United States because he is destroyed the people's trust by not

giving them the border wall.

I want to read this paragraph here from the week.

It's fascinating.

Here it is.

Coulter said that she won't vote for Trump in 2020 if there's no progress on the wall

by then as there would be no reason other than.

So Ivanka Trump and jared Kushner can make money, which seems to be the main point of

the presidency at this point, but she's not even sure Trump will make it that far.

My prediction is that his support will evaporate and Trump will very likely not finish his

term and definitely not be elected to a second term.

No Republican will ever be elected president again.

Now, as much as I would love to believe culture is right here that no republican will ever

be elected president again.

We're going to have republican presidents.

Again, it's just what does that Republican party going to look like, but that is a question

for another day.

What I find so fascinating about this is his cultures.

Again, the rollercoaster, she loves him, she hates him.

She thinks he's great, she thinks he's awful, and all of it centers around the border wall

culture understands the Republican base in a way that Donald Trump never can.

She knows that those hardcore MAGA hat wearing folks would be just as comfortable wearing

a white hood over their head because that's been her base for decades now.

She knows how to play to them.

She knows that they get pissed off when Trump says, well, maybe I'll get the border wall

funding in three months.

They go crazy and she jumps out there in front of the crazy so that it looks like all the

crazies are following her and they're just dumb enough to do it.

They're just waiting for the leader and Ann Coulter always swoops in like some kind of

demented superhero at the last second to say, come with me racists.

I will protect you.

That's Ann Coulter, and that's what she's doing.

At the end of the day, her saying, I'm not going to vote for him in 2020, it doesn't

matter if the border wall never materializes and culture will vote for Donald Trump in

2020.

If he is the Republican nominee, she would sooner die than vote for a Democrat or not

vote.

We know this, but what she's doing is she's playing that base, getting them riled up so

that they force Donald Trump to go out there and push for this wall, a wall that is likely

to signify the end of his administration because the harder he pushes for it, the harder people

like coulter make them push for it.

The more he alienates normal people within the Republican party because yes, there are

some normal people in the Republican Party, they're getting turned off by this, so as

a coulter pulls him further to the right, she's also doing the best job ever of destroying

his chances of winning reelection.

Thanks, Ann.

We appreciate it.

BOMBSHELL! Rudy Giuliani Says Mueller Was The INSURANCE POLICY To Remove Trump(VIDEO)!!! - Duration: 11:34.

BOMBSHELL! Rudy Giuliani Says Mueller Was The INSURANCE POLICY To Remove Trump

so let's shift gears you've said we've heard predictions for well over a year

now because this investigation by bomb mother's gone on for some time as you

know better than anyone and we've heard lots can be done by Thanksgiving is

gonna be done by the end of the year what's your ultimatum before this my

ultimatum is put up a shut up Bob I mean you know what do you have that there are

those of us believe you don't have anything on collusion and by the way if

you did it's not a crime so what the heck are you doing do you have anything

that shows the president knighted States was involved in a conspiracy to hack the

DNC with Russia of course you don't but if you do put out a report I'll give it

to the Justice Department let them review it make sure it's not classified

whatever put out a report we're ready to rebut it I have the report ready for two

months that we can show no we can we've live it my mother might be coming out in

February so that what you're hearing or what what's your Senate oh gosh almighty

first key was coming out in March and then in May and then and then he and

then he got we're we're in now the fourth degree of separation from the non

crime collusion we went to the non crime obstruction to justice that didn't work

out for him so then he moved on to campaign contributions which by the way

are not violative of the campaign finance law you can pay a judgment or a

claim against you that's not a campaign expense the Edwards case determined that

that's another non crime they're investigating that and then and then

then they're looking at now the the Russia tower well they should go to

Moscow there is no tower get built it didn't get beyond a non-binding

letter of intent which is like a wish and so okay Bob

how much forget those other three what do you got on what do you have on

collusion exactly we don't have a darn thing on closure the whole thing is a

phony well you recently you've said the

president will not speak to Bob Muller over your dead body you know why you'll

say conversations are ongoing because if they're unethical because of their

unethical behavior I mean then or grossly negligent behavior all those

texts of struck and page deleted after they find out that struck is is texting

that he hates Trump that he's going to get him that

he's going to stop him and if he can't stop me

an insurance policy to get him out of office I believe Muller is the insurance

policy to get him out of office they said it's a bunch of Santa struck

was his first investigator how is it that the ones eliminated all the ones

that he did when he was working for Muller all of a sudden they wipe out his

phone and the ones missing are the ones when he was working from mullet why

because just maybe it would be very embarrassing if he would say the same

things while working for the holier-than-thou special counsel and he

was saying I hate Trump I'm gonna get Trump we're gonna get him anyway we have

we're framing Flynn we're not gonna tell him he has a right to counsel and call

me approve that call me even said I wouldn't have gotten away with that with

a more experienced administration we were gonna trap him we got a statement

he's gonna contradict it we're not gonna show him the statement to refresh his

recollection I don't know that could all be there so these are the person who

determined what to eliminate unless this is a lie with his records officer

Muller's records officer who says that there was nothing of interest there it's

hard to believe as it struck him page all of a sudden decided we're not gonna

tweet anymore when I could text anymore about Donald Trump they seem to be

obsessively compulsively texting about him yeah I mean I don't know what kind

of lovers they were if they were texting about that all that owner should have

said that that's terrible

this is ridiculous if this happened on the other side if you imagine if he

asked us for very relevant text and we said oh we had them but we just we

eliminated them part of our record-keeping we just eliminated the

text between the president and 25 resident and these are 19,000 we've

never seen and will now never see as far as I can tell I mean I'm hoping there's

a way to reproduce reproduce but I mean Texas Tech's only last for a little with

an eye like emails I do this work cybersecurity work and tech so hard to

get I mean that's a legitimate he usually said accepting stolen property

is not a crime anyway in another interview and some thought you were

opening the door to the idea that stolen property in the form of hacked emails

may have been accepted by the Trump campaign and it's

a First Amendment issue right it isn't a stolen property I mean it's stolen

property but it has a different nature when it's information so let's take the

pentagon papers pentagon pairs with stolen property weren't they they were

stolen from the Pentagon about the New York Times in the Washington Post nobody

went to jail the New York Times The Washington Post we've had revelations

during the Bush administration the Abu Ghraib prison table Grob well all of

that is stolen property taken from the government against the law once it gets

to a media publication they can publish it they they can publish it for the

purpose of informing people well you can't put you can't put Assange in a

different position that he was a guy that communicate you might not like what

he communicates but he was a media facility he was putting that information

out every newspaper station grabbed it and public there was not coordination

you're saying between the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks none yeah I was with

Donald Trump day in and day out for the last four months of the campaign he was

as surprised as I was about the WikiLeaks disclosures sometimes

surprised to the extent of oh my god did they really say that we were wondering

is it true and I they never denied it the thing that's missing here is the

thing that really got Hillary is not so much as they were revealed but they were

true she actually had people as bad as that and she really was cheating on the

debates she really was getting from Donna

Brazile the questions beforehand she really did completely screw Bernie

Sanders every bit of that was absolutely true just like the Pentagon Papers put a

different view on Vietnam just put a different view on Hillary Clinton the

country from getting a president who was deeply flawed not right to hack still a

crime people who did it should go to jail but no press person or person

disseminating that for the purpose of informing did anything wrong all right

equal time scare voters this year saying the Mets are winners what say you about

the Yankees good luck my good good friend I love them and I have a lot of

met friends who a good friends might even relatives

I have deep pity for them sorry for them and I love the Mets and the National

League I root for them and I feel sorry for the Met fans but hey you can't be 27

World Championship I will bring in Robert Driscoll of past DOJ Fame and

also the attorney for Maria butene of the Russian agent who just pled out get

a little more insight from you on this Rudy Giuliani you know is the

president's defense attorney he can sort of want whatever he wants from robert

muller but can't really force the hand kenny

yeah i'm reminded by think was kelly who said you know the enemy gets a vote as

to when the war ends you know he can want it but it's he's not really in

control it'll end when muller says it ends this is Rudy Giuliani also this

morning on Fox and Friends sort of issuing the ultimatum take a listen

we'll get your thoughts my ultimatum is put up a shut up Bob I mean you know

what do you have that there are those of us who believe you don't have anything

on collusion and by the way if you did it's not a crime so what the heck are

you doing do you have anything that shows the president is States was

involved in a conspiracy to hack the DNC with Russia of course you don't have you

seen anything I mean he's right from a public perspective but that's kind of

meaningless because you don't know what what Muller has you doing what a good

defense Lord would do he's trying to press for the end of the case but I mean

he's you know in some sense it's a bluff because he doesn't know what Muller has

so he's just saying you don't have anything I haven't seen anything and

come up with it and Muller may or Muller may not one thing that Muller has

appears to have been very strategic and number one is not leaking out of his

office it's unbelievable how tight they have kept things but - there are all

these little crumbs and all of these little and all these filings much of

which are redacted but then there's these key points how close does it

appear to you that Muller has gotten to the inner circle of Trump world in this

sense it is very hard to judge that and I think that lawyers who do are at great

peril because this case isn't going to end in an

indictment of the President as Meenakshi - candidate the president under DOJ

rules and where it's going to end in a report a lot of the tea leaves we would

normally read you can't read in this case so for example the fact that that

people are having sentencings usually wouldn't sentence co-operators until

they were done cooperating in a trial so in a normal case you'd say well they're

sentencing the co-operators the principal's off the hook but you can't

conclude that here because the the end result may be a report to Congress not

an indictment in a trial he may not need and you know Flynn or Manta Ford or

anyone to testify the trial they just may need their statements in a report so

it's very hard to judge the normal and I think a lot of the kind of classic

analysis that goes on misses that point that motoring a very different task here

he's finishing a report not necessarily into an indictment it seems though it's

very clear he's still in the evidence gathering stage we we know about the

Supreme Court case about which there is unbelievable secrecy says you know

sealed subpoenas and then clearing floors of courthouses when they have

arguments about it and now our argument written arguments to the Supreme Court

tomorrow yeah is there anything to read into that again it's it's impossible

other than speculation I mean I think one thing to keep in mind is appellate

courts particular Supreme Court are much more interested in jurisdictional issues

than either the public or lower courts and so when you have a foreign

government and a foreign owned entity there's a question of whether there's US

jurisdiction whatever was in that briefing Chief Justice Roberts saw

something that caught his eye and wants to hear a little bit more but I think

it's hard to know whether that's a banking issue whether it's something

else either way it does show you though that this isn't over yet

right it seems to this seems to indicate the opposite of what Rudy Giuliani's

Christmas wishes right I mean there's still clearly some some threads to

pursue yes some things are you know hinting that it could be oh you know

over in the medium term it'll be two years in March I think that may be a

goal that a special prosecutor might set but I just don't think you can I mean

there's still active litigation going on because obviously if this these

documents get turned over from country a what's in them and does

where does that lead all right we may not even know whether they get turned

over or not considering how much secrecy surrounds that all right arguments do I

think it's by 5:00 p.m. tomorrow so we'll see what is unsealed on that mr.

Driscoll always good to see you counselor good see you hi thank you god

bless you and God bless america

TRUMP SAYS 'NO!' — DROPS N..ASTY CHRISTMAS S..URPRISE ON DEMOCRATS OVER BORDER WALL - Duration: 14:02.

Trump Says 'No!'

— Drops N..asty Christmas S..urprise On Democrats Over Border Wall

President Donald Trump just dropped a "nasty Christmas surprise" on Democrats over the

border wall.

Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer never saw this coming.

Now, all hell is breaking loose in Washington, D.C.

You'll love this.

Democrats were prepared to head home for the holidays, but what happens when President

Trump decides to tell the swamp creatures in Congress he is refusing to sign their ridiculous

Omnibus bill?

When he flat out says, "No," they can't leave.

Yep, no Christmas break for those in Congress until they can come up with a bill the president

will sign.

According to CNN, House Speaker Paul Ryan relayed on Thursday that President Donald

Trump will not sign the current Senate-passed funding measure that would avert a government

shutdown.

"What was once a deal to avoid a holiday government shutdown got torpedoed Thursday

after conservatives and Trump unleashed fury that the agreement doesn't fully fund a

long-promised border wall," CNN furthered.

nd, the president made it clear he is tired of playing games.

"When I begrudgingly signed the Omnibus Bill, I was promised the Wall and Border Security

by leadership.

Would be done by end of year (NOW).

It didn't happen!

We foolishly fight for Border Security for other countries – but not for our beloved

U.S.A.

Not good!" Trump tweeted We all remember last March when President

Trump signed that monstrosity, officially titled the Consolidated Appropriations Act

of 2018, and Congress promised he would get the funding for the wall at the end of the

year.

Trump supporters were livid, and the president realizes, this time around, it is a do or

die situation.

And, basically, what the Democrats are saying is they don't want to fund our national

security.

"Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), a co-founder of the Freedom Caucus, slammed House Republican

and Democrat leadership for fooling the American people into thinking that they would fund

Trump's proposed border wall," Breitbart reported.

"Everyone knows the line 'fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me,'"

Jordan said.

"The new line should be, 'fool the American people four times, shame on Congress.'"

Jordan continued, "Now they're talking about kicking it to February 8th, you got

to be kidding me.

February 8th?

When Nancy Pelosi is Speaker?

Four different times we promised something and then kicked the can down the road."

Furious, Rep. Jordan added, "The House Freedom Caucus is sick of the games.

The American people are sick of the games."

The president seemed to be wavering yesterday.

But, then, the conservative media started warning him not to listen to the Republicans

In Name Only (RINOs).

Rush Limbaugh was one of many who blasted the Democrats and those RINOs who refuse to

back the funding for the wall.

"This is swamp behavior at its best.

This is the greatest illustration of how much of a game all of this actually is," said

Limbaugh.

"We're made to think that it's cutthroat and real.

And, meanwhile, it's just all a game, how this stuff happens, in Congress, in the House,

in the Senate in Washington," added Rush, according to Breitbart.

Stating that the objective has been to end this Congress without a shutdown, Rush continued,

"That's how we're gonna define success?

It's not how we define success.

It is apparently how inside-the-Beltway defines success."

Pointing to the problem with that version of so-called success, he said, "Meanwhile,

the border remains wide open and the Democrats are gonna be controlling the House in just

a few weeks.

They're now gloating and telling the president, 'You can't get any money from anywhere

else in the budget.

We're not gonna let you.

We're gonna make sure that you can't build this wall.

There isn't gonna be a wall.

We don't want there to be a wall,' and apparently, there's no way."

Addressing the double standard, he continued, "Even though we can allocate whatever money

we need for criminal justice reform or Planned Parenthood or whatever the hell else liberal

clause is clamoring for your tax dollars, any amount of money, need even $1.6 billion.

That's been pulled off in this deal to save a shutdown."

Rush furthered, "Not a penny above and beyond what's already allocated is gonna be spent

on securing the border of this country which is wide open still.

'But we've gotta compromise on no government shutdown, Mr. Limbaugh.

It's a good Christmas.

It's a great day for Washington.'

This is textbook.

It's a textbook example of what the Drive-By Media calls compromise.

Trump gets nothing and the Democrats get everything, including control of the House in a few short

weeks."

President Trump and those in the Freedom Caucus are the only ones who are trying to do the

right thing.

Make no mistake, Republicans like Paul Ryan, Kevin McCarthy, and, sadly, Mitch McConnell

are all totally fine with kicking the can down the road.

Now, Trump must stand up and, yes, risk a government shut-down.

You can't compromise and make deals with the snakes that dwell in the swamp, and the

American people won't abandon the

president

in his hour of need.

JUST IN! TRUMP JUST DROPPED THE BOMBSHELL ON ROBERT MUELLER — LIBERALS ARE OUTRAGED! - Duration: 12:22.

JUST IN!

TRUMP JUST DROPPED THE BOMBSHELL ON ROBERT MUELLER — LIBERALS ARE OUTRAGED!

On Sunday, President Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani appeared on Fox News.

Giuliani shredded Robert Mueller's Russia probe.

He questioned the ties between the "insurance policy," Peter Strzok's talked about,

and the missing text messages that Mueller's team erased.

As MSN reported President Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani is seeking to put pressure on

special counsel Robert Mueller to submit his report on whether the investigation into the

Trump campaign and Russia has found collusion, saying Mueller should "put up or shut up."

Giuliani also went after Democrats for "allowing" the death of a police officer in California,

who was murdered by an illegal during a routine traffic stop.

From Fox News In a wide-ranging interview Sunday on "Fox

& Friends," President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani suggested that key

evidence of anti-Trump bias has been deleted in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia

probe, and charged that Democrats rejected legislation that would have "absolutely

prevented" the murder of California police officer Ronil Singh by an alleged illegal

immigrant early Wednesday.

The suspect in the slaying, Gustavo Perez Arriaga, had known gang affiliations as well

as two past DUI arrests.

Stanislaus County Sheriff Adam Christianson this weekend argued that the murder "could've

been preventable," saying that California law had prevented authorities from sharing

information about Arriaga's DUI arrests with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

"This could've been prevented by just a reasonably sensible policy," Giuliani

said.

"Democrats … voted against legislation that would have absolutely prevented this

by focusing on gang members.

He should've been taken in for being a drunk driver.

… There was special legislation to focus on gang members.

Most of the Democrats voted against it.

Almost every Republican voted for it.

Had that legislation been in place, this murder may very well not have happened."

In September 2017, the Criminal Alien Gang Member Removal Act, which would have given

authorities the ability to take immigration enforcement action against suspected gang

members even if they have not been convicted of a crime, passed the House along party lines

but did not receive further Senate consideration.

Giuliani added that "this is going to keep happening," and pointed to Democrats'

previous support for enhancing border wall funding.

"This thing about a wall is totally crazy — they all voted for it," Giuliani said.

"She [House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi] was in favor of it; now she says it's immoral.

So I hope she went to confession.

I mean, she's a Catholic."

Fox News has learned that behind the scenes this weekend, several senators are discussing

a new potential compromise to end the ongoing partial federal government shutdown.

One bipartisan proposal is to provide $5.7 billion in funding for the border wall, as

well as a congressional reauthorization of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood

Arrivals (DACA) program for those brought to the U.S. illegally as children, along with

some other immigration provisions.

There has also been talk about a special allowance for some classes of Central American refugees

to be granted a more robust asylum status.

BREAKING, TRUMP SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER SENDING DEMS INTO A R.AGE

breaking Trump signs executive order sending Dems into a rage president Donald Trump did

not have any good news for federal workers who are affected by the government shutdown

the President signed an executive order freezing pay for federal employees for 2019 this mean

employees of the federal government will not be getting raises in the new year CNN reported

President Donald Trump issued an executive order Friday freezing federal workers pay

for 2019

following through on a proposal he announced earlier in the year the move which Nyx's a

2.1 percent across-the-board pay raise that was set to take effect in January comes as

hundreds of thousands of federal employees are expecting to begin the new year furloughed

or working without pay because of a partial government shutdown Trump told lawmakers he

planned to scrap the 2019 pay bump for federal workers in August saying the federal budget

couldn't support it in addition to the 2.1 percent pay increase the executive order also

cancels a yearly adjustment of paychecks based on the region of the country where workers

are posted called the locality pay increase that was due

to take effect in January the move does not effect a two point six percent pay increase

for US troops next year that was passed as part of the massive defense spending bill

Trump signed in August The Daily Mail reported that some were shocked by this move even in

light of the fact that President Trump said he would do this long ago this is just pouring

salt into the wound Tony Reardon president of the National Treasury Employees Union which

represents about 100,000 federal workers said in a statement it is shocking that federal

employees are taking yet another financial hit as if missed paychecks and working without

pay were not enough now they have been told that they don't even deserve a modest pay

increase in addition to blocking the blanket raise

the order canceled locality pay increases pay check adjustments made based on the region

of the country where workers are posted however the move will not affect a scheduled 2.6 percent

pay raise for American troops that was passed as part of the massive defense spending bill

Trump signed this fall lawmakers could step in and include the scheduled raise in the

2019 spending bill which has currently stalled over Trump's five billion dollars border wall

demand many others were angry what do you think about this let us know your thoughts

IT'S DONE!! TRUMP JUST DROPPED THE GIANT BOMB ON THE MEDIA AFTER HE DID THIS - Duration: 11:29.

IT'S DONE!!

TRUMP JUST DROPPED THE GIANT BOMB ON THE MEDIA AFTER HE DID THIS

well the Trump administration is attempting to overall the nation's food stamp program

by expanding work requirements for recipients Georgia now one of the first states to enforce

those stricter rules reportedly kicking 8,000 people off food stamps after determining those

recipients as unemployed able-bodied adults who are capable of working but some in the

left-wing media slamming the move with headlines like these look at that Trump plans to make

people work for food stamps novel idea here to react Fox News contributor and editor-in-chief

camps reform Lawrence Jones first of all congrats the morning thank you appreciate it the novel

idea that you would work if you're able-bodied you know you should work before you receive

government benefits yes so I think it's important for people to understand that this was a law

already in place it came back away before the Clinton administration but

during the Clinton administration the bureaucrats took that away during the recession but they

never implemented it back so what this law requires you to do is at least work 20 hours

get some form of education or at least show that you can work that you make it so all

these people get on the system and they stay on it and so this was the scourge that get

them involved in the process actually look for a job so they just don't be depended on

this program isn't requiring work having work requirements for welfare or food stamps however

we want to benefit from it whether it's housing or something else doesn't that enable people

to get out of poverty rather than stay in it right I know a lot of people on the Left

want to trap people in this because they will have

their voting base and they don't have to work to actually focus on the issues that affect

adversely Americans but the fact of the matter is this a lot of this policies have affected

my community personally many of the people in my community end up stand on these programs

because it's a trap it's a government trap to keep them in there that's why the original

program was to allow people to have some form of assistance get a leg up and not be trapped

on it forever so that's the the facts of it as Pete mentioned those headlines earlier

so what is the doing why are they getting it wrong well they're playing this anti-trump

game it came before Trump so the fact of the matter is the president is just now enforcing

the law Chicago Illinois Chicago Illinois Louisiana is one of those that main some of

those states are still fighting the gifts as in Georgia

was as well they're one of the first states to start this but at the end of the day this

is a federal law there was way in place way before Trump is insulting to tell people that

they shouldn't have to work well it's insulting and it's also you have to question the motives

right why do you want people to stay on a federal system that means that you're sometimes

at minimum wage sometimes it's you're in a poverty level or below the poverty level why

would you want people to stay on the system and I think many people that are on those

program have to question those government officials that are actually advocating for

the Lord's if I'm right you used to be a Democrat but you saw the world very differently why

did you see it that way and why did you change the way you view the world well at the end

of the day you know look

I wanted to be helpful as a Democrat but when you start seeing the traps of the left where

they try to keep you down in every aspect of your life where they feel like just because

of the color of your skin or your social economic status that you can't secede and did unique

government to do that that gets frustrated and as someone that came from a mother that

had him as 16 and it was taught hard work by his mother and father I couldn't be a leftist

anymore because it just didn't align with the values that I was taught in my home and

there's a left playing politics with not only low-income people but also elderly people

yeah they're playing politics but they also are playing a financial game all right this

is not just a typical politics as you see day-to-day this is saying I'm gonna keep you

down and every American that are on these programs

should I'm not saying that we should get rid of them because that would be unrealistic

Congress would never pass that but the fact of the matter this is not a program that should

be permanent this is something to give you a leg up not just a hand down welcome my friend

I want you to take a look at this world war one Memorial it stands 40 feet tall and has

been there for nearly a hundred years now some non-christians are apparently up in arms

over its shape and they want it taken down back now new details is Fox News chief correspondent

Jonathan hunt Jonathan what's going on here good evening again Lisa this is a case of

focuses on just one Memorial in Maryland but it could have far-reaching consequences impacting

monuments across the nation including some at Arlington

National Cemetery the memorial at the center of this case is a cross that honors World

War one veteran's in Bladensburg Maryland its construction was started by community

members and mothers whose sons died in World War one and it was completed by the American

Legion a lower court has ruled that the Cross should be removed because it violates the

Establishment Clause of the Constitution which of course reads quote Congress shall make

no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof but

an amicus brief filed by thirty states says the Supreme Court quote should reverse the

lower court's call for its destruction as it's placed in our national tradition and

broader cultural context make clear the Bladensburg memorial honors both the

servicemembers it was built to honor and the constitutional ideals including in the First

Amendment they died to defend and West Virginia's Attorney General who led the group of 30 states

in challenging the lower courts said quote we owe a great deal of gratitude to the brave

men and women who sacrificed everything for our country honoring that sacrifice with memorials

that include religious symbols does not violate the US Constitution and is one of the many

freedoms these men and women fought to preserve now the challenge the 93 old cross began with

the American Humanist Association a nonprofit a theist organization that has of course Lisa

filed similar lawsuits across the country Lisa thank you Jonathan joining us now is

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrissey he is leading the 30 state charge to protect

this

memorial and also Fred Edwards former executive director of the American Humanist Association

in a plaintiff in the case Fred I want to start with you why are you against a memorial

that honors those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms like the First Amendment

because we want to honor them all and that is our main thrust we even have a hashtag

hashtag honor them all because we feel and we recognize that a 40-foot tall Latin cross

on government land broadcast clearly that only Christian soldiers are being honored

Fred it's honoring all the men who died that are listed on that memorial how is it how

is it honoring sense despite your hashtag in 1985 the cross was declared to be in honor

of all veterans of all wars all veterans were not Christians all veterans include

Muslims Hindus Buddhists Jews atheists everybody and we want to honor them all that's the whole

point of our case but it's a memorial honoring them all the people on nonono pissed away

no it is not honoring them all it's a Christian cross that is 40 feet high illuminated at

night that you drive by it and all because it's one feet taii it's honoring people who

lost their lives I want to go to the Attorney General on this so a loora loora Court actually

ruled in favor of Fred and his group but you are leading the charge along with 30 states

filing amicus brief with the Supreme Court arguing against what they're trying to do

here why are you doing that you for having me on it's a very

important issue because if the Supreme Court doesn't reverse what just happened in the

Fourth Circuit we could be dealing with the situation where hundreds of memorials across

the country may be forced to be torn down and we think just as you indicated that the

purpose of this memorial is to honor the war dead we know when the peace cross was first

put together this was done to honor 49 individuals who fought in World War one and they were

commemorated now across the country there are memorials very similar to this but you

have to look at the context in which these memorials are set up the states and individuals

have the right to commemorate the dead and that's different that's not a purely

religious purpose quite the opposite that's a secular purpose and so we think this fits

very cleanly within the Establishment Clause jurisprudence we think that the court could

clarify this a little bit going forward but I think that this piece cross was done with

private funds this piece cross was done it was unchallenged for almost 90 years it's

been part of the fabric the historic tradition within the community and there's really no

reason to tear it down from a legal perspective well Fred and I want to talk to you about

this slippery slope problem here that the Attorney General just addressed and I also

want to read you a quote from the first Liberty president the CEO of Bladensburg memorial

cross Supreme Court case we have the quote alright so if this gravestone is bulldoze

to the

ground it's only a matter of time before the wrecking ball turns on Arlington National

Cemetery in the hundreds of memorials like this one across the country so I want to know

what your what you think of that Fred and also not only that you look at awards that

are given out military awards you've got the Army's Distinguished Service Cross the Navy

Cross the Air Force cross do you want all those removed as well are those not okay with

you no and this is not a gravestone it is a 40-foot tall Latin cross on a high way median

there's no doubt that a highway median is one government land and to not a sermon coerce

you into changing your a belief simply by seeing something it gives the impression that

no Jews are welcome in the city of Bladensburg it represents Bladensburg as though it were

a Christian Enclave when I first saw that cross when I first drove into Bladensburg

when I moved out here in 2003 I thought that is

ridiculous that just gives this impression right off to a right at the start it's unmistakable

and when it's illuminated at night all you see is this cross floating in the darkness

you don't know it's supposed to be a war memorial you can't tell and in fact the war memorial

aspects of it are so small and so minor they are dwarfed by the size of the cross in fact

when I first get the Attorney General's response to that because to me Fred it seems like you're

trying to push your opinion on everyone else in the state of Maryland as well at Ernie

Jo no your response no back in here as well this is a war memorial and in fact it's one

of several that's over at the location so there's a memorial to other wars that were

held throughout our country's history we know that the inscription on the memorial is secular

in nature talking

about valor talking about honor that you can actually have a memorial whose purpose is

mostly secular and in fact if you go back and you look at how many individuals who came

back from World War one were honored they were honored by crosses and their poems there

are stories that talk about the rows of crosses that were set up and it's meant to honor the

debt so you can really distinguish that so it really I think takes a stretch to say that

this is purely for religious purposes I think that the history bears out that this is primarily

for secular purposes and that once again if this cross were allowed to fall then you could

see Arlington some of the crosses they're in trouble in my home state in West Virginia

whether you're in Elkins whether you're at the State Capitol

there are a number of capitals that could fall because this starts to stretch First

Amendment jurisprudence and not the way the founders intended that's just ridiculous because

we have worked with Arlington National Cemetery to make sure that humanists and other non

their symbols on their tombstones we want a variety of symbols on tombstones because

we want to honor them all and those war memorials that are across the street from the Bladensburg

cross are secular in nature and we do not challenge them we support them we only challenge

the one that is a 40 foot tall that we like we've got it we've got to get going I'm sorry

Fred I don't agree with you I don't think you're honoring them at all but we've got

to end with that thank you both for joining me tonight thank

you much
