Trump news on Youtube Dec 31 2018

U.S. President Donald Trump spoke on the phone Saturday with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping

about their country's trade conflict.

On Twitter, President Trump said he "just had a long and a very good call with President

Xi of China," adding that the deal is moving along "very well."

He said he expects some progress to be made on a comprehensive level.

This month at the G20 summit in Argentina, the two leaders called a truce on the trade

war.

If a deal isn't reached by a deadline in March, President Trump has been threatening to increase

tariffs from the current 10 percent to 25 percent on 200 billion dollars worth of Chinese

goods.

According to President Trump, he and President Xi in their phone call also confirmed their

support for America's talks with North Korea for peace on the Korean Peninsula.

IT'S DONE!! TRUMP JUST DROPPED THE GIANT BOMB ON THE MEDIA AFTER HE DID THIS - Duration: 11:29.

IT'S DONE!!

TRUMP JUST DROPPED THE GIANT BOMB ON THE MEDIA AFTER HE DID THIS

well the Trump administration is attempting to overall the nation's food stamp program

by expanding work requirements for recipients Georgia now one of the first states to enforce

those stricter rules reportedly kicking 8,000 people off food stamps after determining those

recipients as unemployed able-bodied adults who are capable of working but some in the

left-wing media slamming the move with headlines like these look at that Trump plans to make

people work for food stamps novel idea here to react Fox News contributor and editor-in-chief

camps reform Lawrence Jones first of all congrats the morning thank you appreciate it the novel

idea that you would work if you're able-bodied you know you should work before you receive

government benefits yes so I think it's important for people to understand that this was a law

already in place it came back away before the Clinton administration but

during the Clinton administration the bureaucrats took that away during the recession but they

never implemented it back so what this law requires you to do is at least work 20 hours

get some form of education or at least show that you can work that you make it so all

these people get on the system and they stay on it and so this was the scourge that get

them involved in the process actually look for a job so they just don't be depended on

this program isn't requiring work having work requirements for welfare or food stamps however

we want to benefit from it whether it's housing or something else doesn't that enable people

to get out of poverty rather than stay in it right I know a lot of people on the Left

want to trap people in this because they will have

their voting base and they don't have to work to actually focus on the issues that affect

adversely Americans but the fact of the matter is this a lot of this policies have affected

my community personally many of the people in my community end up stand on these programs

because it's a trap it's a government trap to keep them in there that's why the original

program was to allow people to have some form of assistance get a leg up and not be trapped

on it forever so that's the the facts of it as Pete mentioned those headlines earlier

so what is the doing why are they getting it wrong well they're playing this anti-trump

game it came before Trump so the fact of the matter is the president is just now enforcing

the law Chicago Illinois Chicago Illinois Louisiana is one of those that main some of

those states are still fighting the gifts as in Georgia

was as well they're one of the first states to start this but at the end of the day this

is a federal law there was way in place way before Trump is insulting to tell people that

they shouldn't have to work well it's insulting and it's also you have to question the motives

right why do you want people to stay on a federal system that means that you're sometimes

at minimum wage sometimes it's you're in a poverty level or below the poverty level why

would you want people to stay on the system and I think many people that are on those

program have to question those government officials that are actually advocating for

the Lord's if I'm right you used to be a Democrat but you saw the world very differently why

did you see it that way and why did you change the way you view the world well at the end

of the day you know look

I wanted to be helpful as a Democrat but when you start seeing the traps of the left where

they try to keep you down in every aspect of your life where they feel like just because

of the color of your skin or your social economic status that you can't secede and did unique

government to do that that gets frustrated and as someone that came from a mother that

had him as 16 and it was taught hard work by his mother and father I couldn't be a leftist

anymore because it just didn't align with the values that I was taught in my home and

there's a left playing politics with not only low-income people but also elderly people

yeah they're playing politics but they also are playing a financial game all right this

is not just a typical politics as you see day-to-day this is saying I'm gonna keep you

down and every American that are on these programs

should I'm not saying that we should get rid of them because that would be unrealistic

Congress would never pass that but the fact of the matter this is not a program that should

be permanent this is something to give you a leg up not just a hand down welcome my friend

I want you to take a look at this world war one Memorial it stands 40 feet tall and has

been there for nearly a hundred years now some non-christians are apparently up in arms

over its shape and they want it taken down back now new details is Fox News chief correspondent

Jonathan hunt Jonathan what's going on here good evening again Lisa this is a case of

focuses on just one Memorial in Maryland but it could have far-reaching consequences impacting

monuments across the nation including some at Arlington

National Cemetery the memorial at the center of this case is a cross that honors World

War one veteran's in Bladensburg Maryland its construction was started by community

members and mothers whose sons died in World War one and it was completed by the American

Legion a lower court has ruled that the Cross should be removed because it violates the

Establishment Clause of the Constitution which of course reads quote Congress shall make

no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof but

an amicus brief filed by thirty states says the Supreme Court quote should reverse the

lower court's call for its destruction as it's placed in our national tradition and

broader cultural context make clear the Bladensburg memorial honors both the

servicemembers it was built to honor and the constitutional ideals including in the First

Amendment they died to defend and West Virginia's Attorney General who led the group of 30 states

in challenging the lower courts said quote we owe a great deal of gratitude to the brave

men and women who sacrificed everything for our country honoring that sacrifice with memorials

that include religious symbols does not violate the US Constitution and is one of the many

freedoms these men and women fought to preserve now the challenge the 93 old cross began with

the American Humanist Association a nonprofit a theist organization that has of course Lisa

filed similar lawsuits across the country Lisa thank you Jonathan joining us now is

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrissey he is leading the 30 state charge to protect

this

memorial and also Fred Edwards former executive director of the American Humanist Association

in a plaintiff in the case Fred I want to start with you why are you against a memorial

that honors those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms like the First Amendment

because we want to honor them all and that is our main thrust we even have a hashtag

hashtag honor them all because we feel and we recognize that a 40-foot tall Latin cross

on government land broadcast clearly that only Christian soldiers are being honored

Fred it's honoring all the men who died that are listed on that memorial how is it how

is it honoring sense despite your hashtag in 1985 the cross was declared to be in honor

of all veterans of all wars all veterans were not Christians all veterans include

Muslims Hindus Buddhists Jews atheists everybody and we want to honor them all that's the whole

point of our case but it's a memorial honoring them all the people on nonono pissed away

no it is not honoring them all it's a Christian cross that is 40 feet high illuminated at

night that you drive by it and all because it's one feet taii it's honoring people who

lost their lives I want to go to the Attorney General on this so a loora loora Court actually

ruled in favor of Fred and his group but you are leading the charge along with 30 states

filing amicus brief with the Supreme Court arguing against what they're trying to do

here why are you doing that you for having me on it's a very

important issue because if the Supreme Court doesn't reverse what just happened in the

Fourth Circuit we could be dealing with the situation where hundreds of memorials across

the country may be forced to be torn down and we think just as you indicated that the

purpose of this memorial is to honor the war dead we know when the peace cross was first

put together this was done to honor 49 individuals who fought in World War one and they were

commemorated now across the country there are memorials very similar to this but you

have to look at the context in which these memorials are set up the states and individuals

have the right to commemorate the dead and that's different that's not a purely

religious purpose quite the opposite that's a secular purpose and so we think this fits

very cleanly within the Establishment Clause jurisprudence we think that the court could

clarify this a little bit going forward but I think that this piece cross was done with

private funds this piece cross was done it was unchallenged for almost 90 years it's

been part of the fabric the historic tradition within the community and there's really no

reason to tear it down from a legal perspective well Fred and I want to talk to you about

this slippery slope problem here that the Attorney General just addressed and I also

want to read you a quote from the first Liberty president the CEO of Bladensburg memorial

cross Supreme Court case we have the quote alright so if this gravestone is bulldoze

to the

ground it's only a matter of time before the wrecking ball turns on Arlington National

Cemetery in the hundreds of memorials like this one across the country so I want to know

what your what you think of that Fred and also not only that you look at awards that

are given out military awards you've got the Army's Distinguished Service Cross the Navy

Cross the Air Force cross do you want all those removed as well are those not okay with

you no and this is not a gravestone it is a 40-foot tall Latin cross on a high way median

there's no doubt that a highway median is one government land and to not a sermon coerce

you into changing your a belief simply by seeing something it gives the impression that

no Jews are welcome in the city of Bladensburg it represents Bladensburg as though it were

a Christian Enclave when I first saw that cross when I first drove into Bladensburg

when I moved out here in 2003 I thought that is

ridiculous that just gives this impression right off to a right at the start it's unmistakable

and when it's illuminated at night all you see is this cross floating in the darkness

you don't know it's supposed to be a war memorial you can't tell and in fact the war memorial

aspects of it are so small and so minor they are dwarfed by the size of the cross in fact

when I first get the Attorney General's response to that because to me Fred it seems like you're

trying to push your opinion on everyone else in the state of Maryland as well at Ernie

Jo no your response no back in here as well this is a war memorial and in fact it's one

of several that's over at the location so there's a memorial to other wars that were

held throughout our country's history we know that the inscription on the memorial is secular

in nature talking

about valor talking about honor that you can actually have a memorial whose purpose is

mostly secular and in fact if you go back and you look at how many individuals who came

back from World War one were honored they were honored by crosses and their poems there

are stories that talk about the rows of crosses that were set up and it's meant to honor the

debt so you can really distinguish that so it really I think takes a stretch to say that

this is purely for religious purposes I think that the history bears out that this is primarily

for secular purposes and that once again if this cross were allowed to fall then you could

see Arlington some of the crosses they're in trouble in my home state in West Virginia

whether you're in Elkins whether you're at the State Capitol

there are a number of capitals that could fall because this starts to stretch First

Amendment jurisprudence and not the way the founders intended that's just ridiculous because

we have worked with Arlington National Cemetery to make sure that humanists and other non

their symbols on their tombstones we want a variety of symbols on tombstones because

we want to honor them all and those war memorials that are across the street from the Bladensburg

cross are secular in nature and we do not challenge them we support them we only challenge

the one that is a 40 foot tall that we like we've got it we've got to get going I'm sorry

Fred I don't agree with you I don't think you're honoring them at all but we've got

to end with that thank you both for joining me tonight thank

you much

Melania Trump's trip to Iraq marked first war zone visit by a first lady in over a decade - Duration: 5:46.

Melania Trump's trip to Iraq marked first war zone visit by a first lady in over a decade

When Melania Trump accompanied her husband President Trump to Iraq this week, it was the first time in more than a decade that a first lady of the United States had visited a war zone.

Trump also became the only first lady to have visited Iraq since the war began more than 15 years ago.

During the eight years of her husband's presidency, Michelle Obama never traveled to a war zone, according to Mark Knoller, a veteran CBS White House correspondent widely respected for his copious and accurate record-keeping of White House activities and events.

"Checked my records," Knoller told the Washington Examiner.

"Found no war zone trips by Mrs. Obama.".

Obama launched an initiative designed to help military families and got to within 600 miles of a war zone when she met with troops at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar in November 2015.

Before the Trump visit to Iraq, the most recent visit to a war zone by a first lady was that of Laura Bush to Afghanistan in June 2008.

The same day she was there, 11 police officers were killed in an ambush south of Kabul and three British soldiers were killed by a suicide bomber in Helmand province.

Bush also went to Afghanistan in March 2005.

Hillary Clinton stayed away from war zones when she was first lady during her husband Bill's eight-year stint at the White House.

She did not visit troops during combat operations in Bosnia between 1992 and 1995 but made a trip there in March 1996 after hostilities had ceased, along with her daughter Chelsea, then 16.

Clinton faced ridicule in 2008 when she claimed she landed in Bosnia "under sniper fire," even though news footage from the time showed her strolling on the tarmac and being read a poem by a small girl.

She visited Northern Ireland in 1995, after the IRA had called a ceasefire the previous year, and returned in 1998 after the IRA had called a second ceasefire.

Clinton claimed she had been "instrumental" in brokering peace in Northern Ireland but Nobel Peace Prize winner Lord Trimble of Lisnagarvey described this as "a wee bit silly.".

Clinton later visited Iraq on congressional delegations as a senator in 2003, 2005, and 2007.

She visited Afghanistan as a senator in 2007 and several times during her tenure as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.

Barbara Bush accompanied her husband, President George H.W.

Bush, to visit American troops in Saudi Arabia during Thanksgiving in 1990, just before the start of the Gulf War, when coalition forces ejected Saddam Hussein's Iraqi forces from Kuwait.

During World War II, Eleanor Roosevelt visited American troops in the Pacific theater for a month in 1943, even traveling to see wounded Marines on Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands.

Guadalcanal was bombed the night before she arrived and the night after she left, and she joined troops in a shelter when an air raid warning sounded.

This week, Trump said he had been worried that he was putting his wife in harm's way.

"I had concerns about the institution of the presidency," he said.

"Not for myself personally.

I had concerns for the first lady, I will tell you.

"But if you would have [seen] what we had to go through in the darkened plane with all window[s] closed with no light anywhere — pitch black.

I've been on many airplanes.

All types and shapes and sizes.

So did I have a concern? Yes, I had a concern.".

Jurgen Klopp's side fell behind in the Premier League at home for the first time since Jamie Vardy scored for Leicester 364 days earlier when Ainsley Maitland-Niles put the visitors ahead but turned the game on its head with a quickfire double from Roberto Firmino who bagged a brace with just 30 seconds between his two goals

Sadio Mane added a third before a Mohamed Salah penalty made it 4-1 before the break and in the second half Firmino completed his hat-trick with a second spot-kick for the Reds

The performance, result and where it places Liverpool in the table at the turn of the calendar year had their follows ecstatic

Linda Pizzuti Henry, wife of the club's principal owner John W Henry tweeted: "The magic continues for Liverpool this season

Undefeated and holding firm at the top of the table after 20 matches. So, so exciting

"  Former Reds player Jason McAteer kept up the American connection by replying to a tweet from US President Donald Trump about the Republicans trying to get senate approval to build a border wall with Mexico by declaring: "Seriously Donald no one cares - LFC have just gone nine points clear

"  Liverpool haven't won the League Championship the title since 1990 - the longest drought in the club's history - but Jurgen Klopp's side's title credentials received a seal of approval from of the nation's most prominent football writers

The Times' Henry Winter wrote: "Liverpool have the manager, the players, the leaders and the belief, camaraderie and work ethic to win this title

They have the momentum. It's now about keeping their nerve and focus game by game," while The Mail on Sunday's Oliver Holt remarked: "Liverpool were a delight to watch tonight

Nine points clear. A long, long way to go but momentum and emotion and history is with them

Every team six points clear in Premier League at the turn of the year has gone on to win it

"  Meanwhile, such is the manner in which Liverpool are playing, even their rivals offered some grudging respect

United We Stand editor Andy Mitten declared: "There's a massive buzz here at Anfield

Liverpool nine points clear and unbeaten. Time to brighten my day by taking a fully clothed December swim over to Birkenhead with a dozen bricks strapped to my back

"  Arsenal fan Piers Morgan complained: "This. Is. Torture" while approval came from Barcelona legend Carles Puyol who proclaimed: "I love rock & roll Liverpool

Melania Trump To Host Mar-A-Lago's New Year's Eve Ball Without Donald Amid Government Shutdown - New - Duration: 2:20.

Melania Trump will have to play host at Mar-a-Lago's New Year's Eve ball sans Donald Trump! A source close to her told HL EXCLUSIVELY the 'show must go on' during the shutdown!

Melania Trump will be spending her New Year's Eve at Mar-a-Lago's expensive ball without Donald Trump by her side, as the government shutdown rages on. A source close to the first lady told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY that she'll be planning on attending the big gala, which has sold tickets for $1,000 (not including a 20 percent gratuity or a 7 percent tax), solo. "It's far from an ideal scenario but Melania intends to try and make the most of a bad situation and enjoy the New Years Eve ball without Donald," our source said. "It's pretty stressful hosting such a huge event on her own but Melania is extremely gracious and experienced when it comes to social engagements so she will be able to handle it just fine on her own."

When it comes down, Melania feels obligated to be there — considering the fact that tickets for this year's celebration are $250 more expensive than last year's, according to the Press Herald. "Guests paid so much for their tickets that it would have been inconceivable for both of the Trumps not to attend, and cancellation wasn't even an option, so the show must go on without Donald," our source went on to say.

While Donald will remain in Washington, D.C. on New Year's Eve, the president does have plans to call the first lady after the ball has dropped. "He has promised to call Melania at midnight to wish her a happy new year, but it still won't be the same without him there in person," our source added. "…That's just another sacrifice Donald must make as president."

Ann Coulter Can't Make Up Her Mind About Trump - Duration: 4:27.

Ann Coulter cannot seem to make up her mind about where she stands on Donald Trump, you

know, just a few years ago, she actually wrote a book that seemingly was written overnight

in Trump.

We trust because she was certain that Donald Trump was coming to Washington dc to enact

all these horribly racist conservative policies as she was going to be right there with them

the entire way, and then over the last two years, there's been this roller coaster ride

with Ann Coulter and Donald Trump.

Every time he says we're going to build the wall, she starts salivating and swooning over

sweet, sweet Donald who's doing exactly what he promised, and then every time he backs

off that, she's calling for his head to roll because she hates him so much and thinks he's

a horrible human being.

Who's conned us all?

Well, one of those and cultures is actually right, but it's not the one who's swooning

over Trump.

It's the one who admits that he is a con man willing to say whatever it takes to get elected,

and Ann Coulter is one of those people who actually got conned.

Now I know there's still some some rumblings.

Is he going to get the funding for the border wall?

Is a coming in February?

Will they get it by New Year's Eve?

Who the hell knows at this point?

Uh, the answer is no.

He's never going to get the funding for the border wall and I think Ann Coulter knows

that, but before any of these arguments even started last week and culture talked to the

daily caller where she said that Donald Trump is likely to be the last republican president

ever elected in the United States because he is destroyed the people's trust by not

giving them the border wall.

I want to read this paragraph here from the week.

It's fascinating.

Here it is.

Coulter said that she won't vote for Trump in 2020 if there's no progress on the wall

by then as there would be no reason other than.

So Ivanka Trump and jared Kushner can make money, which seems to be the main point of

the presidency at this point, but she's not even sure Trump will make it that far.

My prediction is that his support will evaporate and Trump will very likely not finish his

term and definitely not be elected to a second term.

No Republican will ever be elected president again.

Now, as much as I would love to believe culture is right here that no republican will ever

be elected president again.

We're going to have republican presidents.

Again, it's just what does that Republican party going to look like, but that is a question

for another day.

What I find so fascinating about this is his cultures.

Again, the rollercoaster, she loves him, she hates him.

She thinks he's great, she thinks he's awful, and all of it centers around the border wall

culture understands the Republican base in a way that Donald Trump never can.

She knows that those hardcore MAGA hat wearing folks would be just as comfortable wearing

a white hood over their head because that's been her base for decades now.

She knows how to play to them.

She knows that they get pissed off when Trump says, well, maybe I'll get the border wall

funding in three months.

They go crazy and she jumps out there in front of the crazy so that it looks like all the

crazies are following her and they're just dumb enough to do it.

They're just waiting for the leader and Ann Coulter always swoops in like some kind of

demented superhero at the last second to say, come with me racists.

I will protect you.

That's Ann Coulter, and that's what she's doing.

At the end of the day, her saying, I'm not going to vote for him in 2020, it doesn't

matter if the border wall never materializes and culture will vote for Donald Trump in

2020.

If he is the Republican nominee, she would sooner die than vote for a Democrat or not

vote.

We know this, but what she's doing is she's playing that base, getting them riled up so

that they force Donald Trump to go out there and push for this wall, a wall that is likely

to signify the end of his administration because the harder he pushes for it, the harder people

like coulter make them push for it.

The more he alienates normal people within the Republican party because yes, there are

some normal people in the Republican Party, they're getting turned off by this, so as

a coulter pulls him further to the right, she's also doing the best job ever of destroying

his chances of winning reelection.

Thanks, Ann.

We appreciate it.

BREAKING, TRUMP SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER SENDING DEMS INTO A R.AGE - Duration: 10:50.

BREAKING, TRUMP SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER SENDING DEMS INTO A R.AGE

breaking Trump signs executive order sending Dems into a rage president Donald Trump did

not have any good news for federal workers who are affected by the government shutdown

the President signed an executive order freezing pay for federal employees for 2019 this mean

employees of the federal government will not be getting raises in the new year CNN reported

President Donald Trump issued an executive order Friday freezing federal workers pay

for 2019

following through on a proposal he announced earlier in the year the move which Nyx's a

2.1 percent across-the-board pay raise that was set to take effect in January comes as

hundreds of thousands of federal employees are expecting to begin the new year furloughed

or working without pay because of a partial government shutdown Trump told lawmakers he

planned to scrap the 2019 pay bump for federal workers in August saying the federal budget

couldn't support it in addition to the 2.1 percent pay increase the executive order also

cancels a yearly adjustment of paychecks based on the region of the country where workers

are posted called the locality pay increase that was due

to take effect in January the move does not effect a two point six percent pay increase

for US troops next year that was passed as part of the massive defense spending bill

Trump signed in August The Daily Mail reported that some were shocked by this move even in

light of the fact that President Trump said he would do this long ago this is just pouring

salt into the wound Tony Reardon president of the National Treasury Employees Union which

represents about 100,000 federal workers said in a statement it is shocking that federal

employees are taking yet another financial hit as if missed paychecks and working without

pay were not enough now they have been told that they don't even deserve a modest pay

increase in addition to blocking the blanket raise

the order canceled locality pay increases pay check adjustments made based on the region

of the country where workers are posted however the move will not affect a scheduled 2.6 percent

pay raise for American troops that was passed as part of the massive defense spending bill

Trump signed this fall lawmakers could step in and include the scheduled raise in the

2019 spending bill which has currently stalled over Trump's five billion dollars border wall

demand many others were angry what do you think about this let us know your thoughts
