Investigators are closing in on James Comey and the FBI for their lawless conduct during

the 2016 Presidential election.

The watershed moment for the Russia investigation was a January 2017 story by CNN that then-FBI

Director James Comey had briefed President-elect Donald Trump on the existence of a dossier

where the Russians claimed they had "kompromat" – compromising information – on him.

Comey briefed Trump specifically on the allegation that during a 2013 visit to Moscow for the

Miss Universe Pageant, Trump had hired prostitutes to urinate on a hotel bed that he believed

Barack and Michelle Obama were going to sleep in.

The dossier claimed the Russians had video of this incident.

Nearly a year later, the American people learned that Hillary Clinton and the Democrat National

Committee hired foreign spy, Christopher Steele, to collude with the Russians and put the dossier

together.

That was bad enough.

But then the FBI released a two-page summary of Comey's briefing to Trump.

In this memo, it showed that Comey never told Trump during the briefing that Clinton and

the DNC paid for the dossier.

The memo reports that Comey described Steele as a foreign intelligence operative working

on behalf of "private clients."

"The source is an executive of a private business intelligence firm and a former employee

of a friendly intelligence service who has been compensated for previous

reporting over the past three years.

The source maintains and collects information from a layered network of identified and unidentified

subsources, some of which has been corroborated in the past.

The source collected this information on behalf of private clients and was not compensated

for it by the FBI," the memo read.

Comey kept Clinton and the DNC's role in funding the dossier secret from Trump because

of how he and his allies were planning to make use of the briefing.

Comey only briefed Trump

on

the dossier for the sole purpose of creating a news pretext that the briefing

had occurred.

Once CNN reported on the briefing, Buzzfeed then published the Steele dossier in

its entirety and the collusion fever took hold in the fake

news media.

Had Comey told Trump that Hillary and her political allies had paid for the dossier,

Trump would have responded to these stories by telling the people the truth about the

dossier – that it was fake news paid for by his political

opponents.

The collusion storyline – and the subsequent Mueller investigation – never would have

gotten off

the ground had

this truth been known to the public.

That's the real scandal that needs to be investigated.

If a two-thirds majority votes against the president, they will be removed from office

The only U.S. presidents to be impeached in history are Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson

who were both acquitted by the Senate

Richard Nixon had impeachment articles brought against him

but he resigned from office before the House voted on them

Democrats now have a majority in the House of Representatives for the first time since 2010

and the possibility of impeachment is a lot more likely

But with continuing Republican support for the President

there is little chance a two thirds majority would be reached against him in the Senate

Whilst Donald Trump could be impeached

having him removed from office is far more unlikely

partisan Mueller report that is due to come out.

Originally, the report was going to come before the midterm elections;however, Rudy Guilianni

went to bat for the Republicans so the Democrats could not use that to prevent any Republican

wins during the midterms.

The Special Counsel began under auspicious reasons with the FISA court abuse and the

Steele dossier.

The Special Counsel was originally very broad with the "primary focus on the 2016 presidential

election, and any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation."

President Trump responded to the open-ended order on the original probe and noticed the

of a crime?

At the same time Mueller and the Angry Democrats aren't even looking at the atrocious, and

perhaps subversive, crimes that were committed by Crooked Hillary Clinton and the Democrats.

One year into the investigation, The Hill wrote an article that proves what President

Embattled Trump Foundation forced to dissolve itself under court supervision - Duration: 4:30.

President Trump's embattled charitable foundation has agreed to dissolve itself under judicial supervision as part of a lawsuit brought by New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood

The Trump Foundation had previously sought to dissolve on its own terms but has now signed a stipulation that requires it to do so with monitoring by the court and oversight by the attorney general's office, which must review and approve disbursements of remaining funds to make sure the recipients are legitimate

"Today's stipulation accomplishes a key piece of the relief sought in our lawsuit earlier this year," said New York Attorney General (NYAG) Barbara Underwood in a statement

"Under the terms, the Trump Foundation can only dissolve under judicial supervision – and it can only distribute its remaining charitable assets to reputable organizations approved by my office

" The attorney general's lawsuit alleged that the president and his three eldest children, who served as members of the foundation's board, repeatedly used charitable donations for personal, political and business gains, including legal settlements, campaign contributions and even to purchase a portrait of Trump to hang at one of his hotels

The alleged conduct, Underwood said, "amounted to the Trump Foundation functioning as little more than a checkbook to serve Mr

Trump's business and political interests." Yet an attorney for the Trump Foundation had a sharply different take on the matter

In a statement released in response to the attorney general's comments, Trump Foundation attorney Alan Futerfas accused Underwood's office of "politicizing" the matter

"Contrary to the NYAG's misleading statement issued earlier today, the Foundation has been seeking to dissolve and distribute its remaining assets to worthwhile charitable causes since Donald J

Trump's victory in the 2016 Presidential election," Futerfas' statement said. "Unfortunately, the NYAG sought to prevent dissolution for almost two years, thereby depriving those most in need of nearly $1

7 million." Futerfas went on to contend that in the past decade the foundation has distributed about $19 million to 700 different charitable organizations

Shortly after the Futerfas statement was released, Underwood shot back with a follow-up statement of her own, insisting that the foundation wanted to dissolve itself, but that the dissolution required government oversight

"Given the Trump Foundation's egregious pattern of illegality -— including repeatedly using charitable assets for unlawful purposes -— that was unacceptable," an Underwood spokesperson said in the follow-up statement

"That's why AG Underwood's suit demanded dissolution under court supervision, with our office's oversight of how the charitable assets will be distributed — and that's exactly what we achieved with the Trump Foundation's concession today

The lawsuit is also seeking restitution, as well as prohibiting Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr

from serving on the boards of charities for the next 10 years. An attorney for the president has argued that the case is politically motivated, an argument the judge rejected as recently as last month when he turned down an attempt to get the case dismissed

President Trump has been unfairly treated by the Democrats.

They have questioned the legitimacy of his Presidency the day after he beat Hillary,

and they won't let up until they see him gone.

President Trump is no stranger to being treated wrongfully by the media, and its no surprise

the Mueller which hunt is still dragging along.

They've tried every single tactic available to mankind, and now there's signs they are

finally running out of options.

President Donald Trump's legal team is preparing answers to written questions provided by special

counsel Robert Mueller, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The move represents a major development after months of negotiations and signals that the

Mueller investigation could be entering a final phase with regard to the President.

The questions are focused on matters related to the investigation of possible collusion

between Trump associates and Russians seeking to meddle in the 2016 election, the sources

said.

Trump's lawyers are preparing written responses, in part relying on documents previously provided

to the special counsel, the sources said.

"We are in continuing discussions with the special counsel and we do not comment on those

discussions," said Trump attorney Jay Sekulow.

There may be more rounds of questions after the first answers are returned.

The special counsel had insisted that there be a chance for follow-up questions as well.

But after a prolonged back-and-forth over months, the two sides agreed to start with

a first round of questions.

Additionally, the two sides have still not come to agreement on whether the President

will be interviewed in person by investigators who are also probing whether Trump obstructed

justice by firing FBI Director James Comey.

Asked on Thursday about answering Mueller's questions, Trump again signaled his willingness

to sit down for an interview with Mueller or provide written responses — the option

much preferred by his attorneys.

"It seems ridiculous that I'd have to do it when everybody says there's no collusion,

but I'll do what is necessary to get it over with," Trump said in a phone interview

on Fox News.

Despite Trump's insistence to the contrary, the possibility of collusion remains an open

question in the ongoing investigation led by Mueller, who has not tipped his hand one

way or the other.

Negotiations for Trump's testimony lasted for the better part of a year.

The two sides nearly reached a deal in January for Trump to be questioned at the presidential

retreat in rural Maryland, Camp David, only for talks to break down at the last minute.

What followed was a series of letters and meetings — some hostile — in which Trump's

lawyers raised objections and sought to limit any potential testimony.

For months, Mueller told Trump's lawyers that he needed to hear from the President

to determine his intent on key events in the obstruction inquiry.

During one tense session in March, Mueller raised the possibility of getting a subpoena

to compel the President's testimony.

Trump's lead attorney John Dowd resigned later that month.

According to a recent book published by journalist Bob Woodward, Dowd quit because he believed

Trump would never heed his advice to avoid an interview at all costs.

Trump once publicly said he was "100%" willing to go under oath to answer questions

about his decision to fire Comey, who led the original Russia investigation before Mueller

was appointed.

The President eventually hired Rudy Giuliani to join his legal team, and the former New

York mayor quickly took to the airwaves to defend Trump and attack Mueller.

As Giuliani made the rounds on TV newscasts — blasting the investigation as illegitimate

— Trump's other lawyers, Jane and Marty Raskin, carefully worked behind the scenes

with Mueller's team to narrow the topics

that

Next, the President quoted Daniel Henninger, a columnist for the The Wall Street Journal,

who suggested prosecutors were seeking a way to charge the president through his former

national security adviser Michael Flynn.

"It looks here as though General Flynn's defenses are incidental to something larger

which is for the prosecution to figure out if it can find a path to Donald Trump without

quite knowing what that crime might be.

It stops looking like prosecution and more looking like a persecution of the President.
