President Trump threatened to permanently close the U.S. border with Mexico on Monday, saying he'll take the drastic action if members of a swelling migrant caravan are not deported back to their Central American homelands

U.S. Border Patrol fired tear gas canisters and rubber bullets at a group of migrants on Sunday, including families with young children, as hundreds tried to storm the border

The agency said the action came after some threw 'projectiles' that hit border officers

The confrontation produced chaos and new dangers that prompted U.S. officials to close the crossing between Tijuana and San Diego, stopping everyone in their tracks – including thousands travelling legally between the U

S. and Mexico. The border reopened Monday morning, but Trump tweeted a stern warning to Mexico: Deport the migrants, a horde that includes 'stone cold criminals,' or see the economically critical crossing sealed permanently

He called for Congress to fund his border wall with Mexico at a time when congressional Democrats are counting down the final weeks before they take over the House of Representatives

'Mexico should move the flag waving Migrants, many of whom are stone cold criminals, back to their countries

Do it by plane, do it by bus, do it anyway you want, but they are NOT coming into the U

S.A.,' Trump tweeted. 'We will close the Border permanently if need be. Congress, fund the WALL!'The president's ultimatum played on TV screens worldwide Monday morning, alongside images of children screaming and coughing in Sunday's mayhem at the San Ysidro Port of Entry as Border Patrol officers tried to push the surging mass of people back

'Mexico also vowed to deport about 500 migrants who tried to 'violently' and 'illegally' cross the U

S. border on Sunday, according to the Mexican Interior Ministry.'30 migrants were able to breach the US border today,' according to a tweet from a Buzzfeed reporter based in Mexico who spoke with officials there

A statement from the Mexican government agency said authorities had contained the migrants' insurgency

More than 5,000 of them, mostly asylum seekers, have been camped in and around a sports complex in Tijuana after making their way through Mexico in recent weeks

Agents at the San Ysidro entry point are processing fewer than 100 asylum petitions a day

Despite heightened tensions there, Mexico said they would not send military forces to control 7,417 migrants from a caravan currently amassed at the U

S.-Mexico border.Honduran migrant Ana Zuniga, 23, said she saw migrants open a small hole in concertina wire at a gap on the Mexican side of a levee, at which point U

S. agents fired tear gas at them.'We ran, but when you run the gas asphyxiates you more,' she told the AP while cradling her three-year-old daughter Valery in her arms

Mexico pledged to shore up security near its border with the United States and local authorities said that 39 migrants were arrested after a peaceful march devolved into chaos

Mexico's Milenio TV also showed images of several migrants at the border trying to jump over the fence

Yards away on the U.S. side, shoppers streamed in and out of an outlet mall.U.S. Border Patrol helicopters flew overhead, while U

S. agents held vigil on foot beyond the wire fence in California.   The Border Patrol office in San Diego said via Twitter that pedestrian crossings have been suspended at the San Ysidro port of entry at both the East and West facilities

All northbound and southbound traffic was halted.San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer tweeted on Sunday: 'It is critical that U

'Our way of life relies on a safe, secure and functioning border. 'From travel to shipping to daily commutes between San Diego and Tijuana, it is essential to our community

' .They appeared to easily pass through without using violence, and some of the migrants called on each other to remain peaceful

They convened the demonstration to try to pressure the U.S. to hear their asylum claims and carried hand-painted American and Honduran flags while chanting: 'We are not criminals! We are international workers!'A second line of Mexican police carrying plastic riot shields stood guard outside a Mexican customs and immigration plaza

' On Friday night, a mother-of-two was impaled after she tried to scale a U.S.-Mexico border fence in San Diego

According to U.S. Border Patrol, the 26-year-old woman from Guatemala was with her two children, aged three and five, when she climbed the fence near the San Ysidro Port of Entry

The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that she climbed a fence east of the port and where construction crews were putting up a new barrier to replace the old fencing

The mother lost her balance and fell, and pieces of rebar pierced her side and buttocks

Border Patrol told the Union-Tribune that it was dispatched to give medical aid around 8

30pm and asked for help from the San Diego Fire Department. The woman was taken to the hospital by paramedics with non-life threatening injuries

FULL TEXT OF STATEMENT BY HOMELAND SECURITY SECRETARY KIRSTJEN NIELSEN ON BORDER CHAOS This morning, CBP was forced to close the San Ysidro Port of Entry to ensure public safety in response to large numbers of migrants seeking to enter the U

S. illegally. After being prevented from entering the Port of Entry, some of these migrants attempted to breach legacy fence infrastructure along the border and sought to harm CBP personnel by throwing projectiles at them

As I have continually stated, DHS will not tolerate this type of lawlessness and will not hesitate to shut down ports of entry for security and public safety reasons

We will also seek to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law anyone who destroys federal property, endangers our frontline operators, or violates our nation's sovereignty

CBP, along with other DHS law enforcement, federal law enforcement, the U.S. military and state and local law enforcement, will continue to have a robust presence along the Southwest Border and at our ports of entry to prevent illegal entry or violence

We continue to stay in close contact with Mexican authorities and we remain committed to resolving this situation safely in concert with our Mexican partners

Her children were also evaluated for trauma and, when they were cleared, were released to the custody of Border Patrol

No information was available on whether the woman was planning to claim asylum in the U

S.Border Patrol Agent Eduardo Olmos told City News Service that the woman told agents she was not part of the migrant caravan that arrived in Tijuana last week

'Entering our country illegally, particularly over our walls is not only dangerous, but also very foolish,' San Diego's Chief Border Patrol Agent Rodney Scott said on Saturday

'This woman placed her own life and her children's lives in peril. She could have easily died if not for the quick response by our agents and EMS

'Lurbin Sarmiento, 26, of Copan, Honduras walked back to the sports complex with her 4-year-old daughter shaken from what had unfolded a short time earlier at the Tijuana River and U

S. agents fired tear gas.Sarmiento said: 'We ran, but the smoke always reached us and my daughter was choking

' She added she never would have gotten that close with her daughter if she thought there would be gas

Officials say the rebar was part of ongoing construction and not related to the U

S. military's recent mission to fortify the fence from the caravan. .The President reacted to a 60 Minutes segment which found that the family separation policy, in which migrant children were detained separately from their parents, was implemented earlier and in greater numbers than was originally acknowledged

Trump claimed that the family separation policy was initially implemented by the Obama administration, though this is incorrect

'60 Minutes did a phony story about child separation when they know we had the exact same policy as the Obama Administration,' the President tweeted

'In fact a picture of children in jails was used by other Fake Media to show how bad (cruel) we are, but it was in 2014 during O years

'Obama separated children from parents, as did Bush etc., because that is the policy and law

'I tried to keep them together but the problem is, when you do that, vast numbers of additional people storm the Border

'So with Obama seperation is fine, but with Trump it's not. Fake 60 Minutes!'  On Saturday, Trump claimed on his Twitter account that he and the incoming Mexican government agreed to a hold asylum seekers south of the border while their claims were processed in U

S. courts.Trump tweeted on Saturday: 'Migrants at the Southern Border will not be allowed into the United States until their claims are individually approved in court

'We only will allow those who come into our Country legally. Other than that our very strong policy is Catch and Detain

No 'Releasing' into the U.S.'All will stay in Mexico. If for any reason it becomes necessary, we will CLOSE our Southern Border

'There is no way that the United States will, after decades of abuse, put up with this costly and dangerous situation anymore!' Trump's tweet comes after Mexican officials said there was 'no agreement of any type' between its Government and the United States that will require asylum seekers to wait in the country while their claims move through U

S. courts. Olga Sanchez Cordero, the top domestic policy official for president-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador who takes office on December 1, ruled out that Mexico would be declared a 'safe third country' for asylum claimants

This followed a Washington Post report of a deal with the Trump administration known as 'Remain in Mexico,' which quoted her calling it a 'short-term solution

'The plan, according to the newspaper, foresees migrants staying in Mexico while their asylum claims in the United States are being processed, potentially ending a system President Donald Trump decries as 'catch and release' that has until now often allowed those seeking refuge to wait on safer U

S. soil.Meanwhile an investigation by the Miami Herald revealed that the political violence in Honduras, which has contributed to an exodus of migrants, was sometimes carried out with U

S. made weapons used by the government's paramilitary force. The Honduran military police should not possess U

S.-made rifles sold under private arms licensing agreements, according to the State Department

Alejandra Martínez, who is now part of the migrant caravan, was targeted by a gang in Honduras who opened fire on him and a group of his friends

'We know that the guns come from the United States,' Martínez told the Miami Herald at the time of the bloodshed

'These guns have no business in Honduras. They should stay in the United States. They are sending them to Honduras to kill us

'More than a dozen people were shot and killed by the military police in the post-election violence, including several children, according to United Nations investigators

The migrant caravan that left Honduras in mid-October was mostly well received by the towns it passed through along the way to the border

Even cities with few resources made sure the migrants had food and a place to rest

But in those places, the caravan stayed at most two nights with the exception of Mexico City

In Tijuana, many of the migrants who are fleeing violence and poverty are seeking asylum in the United States and face the prospect of spending months in the border city before they have the opportunity to speak with a U

S. official.Gastelum said Friday that the Mexican government has talked about sending 20 tons of resources to Tijuana to help but that three-fourths consisted of materials to reinforce the border and only 5 tons were for the migrants

The mayor also criticized the federal government for not taking more seriously Trump's threat Thursday to shut down the border if his administration determined Mexico had lost 'control' of the situation in Tijuana

 'That's serious,' he said.

'We will close the border permanently if need be': Trump threatens

President Trump threatened to permanently close the U.S. border with Mexico on Monday, saying he'll take the drastic action if members of a swelling migrant caravan are not deported back to their Central American homelands.

U.S. Border Patrol fired tear gas canisters and rubber bullets at a group of migrants on Sunday, including families with young children, as hundreds tried to storm the border.

San Diego Sector Border Control chief patrol agent Rodney Scott said Monday morning on CNN that when the migrants approached border fences, they 'immediately started throwing rocks and debris at our agents, taunting our agents.

'And once our agents were assaulted and the numbers started growing – you know we had two or three agents at a time facing hundreds of people at a time – they deployed tear gas to protect themselves and protect the border.

Carla Provost, the chief of U.S. Border Patrol, told the Fox news Channel that 'our agents were being assaulted.

A large group approached the area and they were throwing rocks and bottles at my men and women, putting them in harm's way as well as other members of the caravan.'.

The confrontation produced chaos and new dangers that prompted U.S. officials to close the crossing between Tijuana and San Diego, stopping everyone in their tracks – including thousands travelling legally between the U.S.

The border reopened Monday morning, but Trump tweeted a stern warning to Mexico: Deport the migrants, a horde that includes 'stone cold criminals,' or see the economically critical crossing sealed permanently.

He called for Congress to fund his border wall with Mexico at a time when congressional Democrats are counting down the final weeks before they take over the House of Representatives.

'Mexico should move the flag waving Migrants, many of whom are stone cold criminals, back to their countries.

Do it by plane, do it by bus, do it anyway you want, but they are NOT coming into the U.S.A.,' Trump tweeted. 'We will close the Border permanently if need be. Congress, fund the WALL!'.

The president's ultimatum played on TV screens worldwide Monday morning, alongside images of children screaming and coughing in Sunday's mayhem at the San Ysidro Port of Entry as Border Patrol officers tried to push the surging mass of people back.

The crowd control tactics began when migrants tried to cut a hole in razor wire on the Mexican side of the fence.

Lee Gelernt, deputy director of the ACLU's Immigrants' Rights Project, told CNN on Monday that Border Patrol was guilty of an 'overuse of force.

'There are women and children out there. Using tear gas in this situation does not seem justified,' he said.

But Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said she would not put up with the 'lawlessness' and threatened harsh punishments for 'anyone who destroys federal property, endangers our frontline operators, or violates our sovereignty.

Nielsen confirmed that border personnel were 'struck by projectiles thrown by caravan members. ' She condemned those responsible for their 'dangerous' actions that were 'not consistent with peacefully seeking asylum.

Mexico also vowed to deport about 500 migrants who tried to 'violently' and 'illegally' cross the U.S. border on Sunday, according to the Mexican Interior Ministry.

More than 5,000 of them, mostly asylum seekers, have been camped in and around a sports complex in Tijuana after making their way through Mexico in recent weeks.

Agents at the San Ysidro entry point are processing fewer than 100 asylum petitions a day. But Scott, the Border Patrol's chief agent in San Diego, said Monday legitimate asylum seekers are few and far between.

'What I saw on the border yesterday was not people walking up to Border Patrol agents and asking to claim asylum,' he said.

'Matter of fact, one of the groups I watched, one of the groups that several of them were arrested, they passed 10 or 15 marked Border Patrol units.

numerous uniformed personnel, as they were chanting, waving a Honduran flag, and throwing rocks at the agents.'. 'If they were truly asylum seekers, they would have just walked up with their hands up and surrendered. And that did not take place.'.

Despite heightened tensions, Mexico said it would not send military forces to control more than 7,000 migrants from a caravan currently amassed at the U.

Honduran migrant Ana Zuniga, 23, said she saw migrants open a small hole in concertina wire at a gap on the Mexican side of a levee, at which point U.S. agents fired tear gas at them.

'We ran, but when you run the gas asphyxiates you more,' she told the AP while cradling her three-year-old daughter Valery in her arms.

Mexico pledged to shore up security near its border with the United States and local authorities said that 39 migrants were arrested after a peaceful march devolved into chaos.

Mexico's Milenio TV also showed images of several migrants at the border trying to jump over the fence. Yards away on the U.S. side, shoppers streamed in and out of an outlet mall.

U.S. Border Patrol helicopters flew overhead, while U.S. agents held vigil on foot beyond the wire fence in California.

The Border Patrol office in San Diego said via Twitter that pedestrian crossings have been suspended at the San Ysidro port of entry at both the East and West facilities. All northbound and southbound traffic was halted.

San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer tweeted on Sunday: 'It is critical that U.S. and Mexican federal leaders work together to safely resolve the migrant crisis. 'Our way of life relies on a safe, secure and functioning border.

'From travel to shipping to daily commutes between San Diego and Tijuana, it is essential to our community. Earlier Sunday, several hundred Central American migrants pushed past a blockade of Mexican police who were standing guard near the international border crossing.

They appeared to easily pass through without using violence, and some of the migrants called on each other to remain peaceful.

They convened the demonstration to try to pressure the U.S. to hear their asylum claims and carried hand-painted American and Honduran flags while chanting: 'We are not criminals! We are international workers!'.

A second line of Mexican police carrying plastic riot shields stood guard outside a Mexican customs and immigration plaza. That line of police had installed tall steel panels behind them outside the Chaparral crossing on the Mexican side of the border.

Migrants were asked by police to turn back toward Mexico. Irineo Mujica, who has accompanied the migrants for weeks as part of the aid group Pueblo Sin Fronteras, said the aim of Sunday's march toward the U.S.

border was to make the migrants' plight more visible to the governments of Mexico and the U.S. 'We can't have all these people here,' Mujica told The Associated Press.

Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum on Friday declared a humanitarian crisis in his border city of 1. 6 million, which he says is struggling to accommodate the crush of migrants.

U.S. President Donald Trump took to Twitter Sunday to express his displeasure with the caravans in Mexico.

'Would be very SMART if Mexico would stop the Caravans long before they get to our Southern Border, or if originating countries would not let them form (it is a way they get certain people out of their country and dump in U.S.

No longer),' he wrote. Mexico's Interior Ministry said Sunday the country has sent 11,000 Central Americans back to their countries of origin since Oct. It said that 1,906 of them were members of the recent caravans.

Mexico is on track to send a total of around 100,000 Central Americans back home by the end of this year.

Earlier on Sunday, Nielsen tweetedSunday: 'This AM, @CBP was forced to close the #SanYsidro POE to ensure public safety in response to a large # of migrants seeking to illegally enter the U.

'They attempted to breach legacy fence infrastructure along the border & sought to harm CBP personnel by throwing projectiles @ them. '@DHS will not tolerate this type of lawlessness & will not hesitate to shut down POEs for security reasons.

Melania Trump Wore Dolce & Gabbana For Thanksgiving Despite Knowing About 'Racism' Controversy - New - Duration: 5:09.

Melania Trump doesn't think the Dolce & Gabbana dress she wore on Thanksgiving was a big deal despite the backlash over their controversial ad that some people have called 'racist

'  Melania Trump, 48, looked great in a black Dolce & Gabbana dress on Thanksgiving but her wardrobe choice caused major backlash from people since the fashion brand's been dealing with a controversy over one video ad that some deemed "racist

" Although the First Lady has been getting slammed for supporting a brand that would put out distasteful ads, she doesn't get what the big deal is and still thinks the brand is great

"Melania has always been a huge fan of Dolce & Gabbana, she absolutely loves their clothes and likes both designers Domenico [Dolce] and Stefano [Gabbana] personally," a source close to Melania EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife

"Of course Melania was aware of the racism controversy, but as far as she's concerned it was a big fuss over nothing, they apologized, people should just move on and get over it

Melania puts a lot of thought into everything she wears, so it was no accident that she purposely chose to wear a Dolce & Gabbana dress—especially as she has worn it previously–she did so as an act of solidarity and support for D & G

" Melania can be seen in the Dolce & Gabbana dress below.    Domenico and Stefano did indeed apologize for their ad, which some viewers called disrespectful toward Chinese culture after it showed Asian models eating Italian food with chopsticks

"PRETTY, PRETTY RACIST Dolce & Gabbana. Especially since y'all stole pasta from China to begin with," one tweet read

"Orientalism is expressed so explicitly in this ad. It's very offensive to portrait all Chinese ppl in such a stereotypical way," another read

The designers filmed a video of their apology and posted it to the official Dolce & Gabbana Twitter account

"Over the past few days, we have thought long and hard with great sadness about everything that has happened and what we have caused in your country and we are very sorry," Domenico said in the video

"We have always been in love with China. We've visited it and seen many of its cities

We love your culture and we certainly have much to learn. That is why we are sorry if we made mistakes in the way we expressed ourselves

" They continued their apology by promising nothing like the ad will ever happen again

In addition to the apology, the other reason Melania doesn't seem to understand what the big deal is about he dress is because she isn't used to controversies such as this one

"Melania grew up in a time and place where people didn't get upset at absolutely anything and everything, she thinks people take offense way too easily these days, and believes they should just learn to chill out more and perhaps even laugh at things instead of getting angry at the slightest thing," the source continued

"Meanwhile, Melania definitely got a kick out of wearing the dress and the reaction from the liberal media—it definitely appealed to her sense of humor

"    We reached out to Melania's office for comment but received no reply. Is it Racist?: @dolcegabbana New Ad Campaign Sparks Uproar in China  Read here: https://t

Trump's Cabinet Officials Can't Stop Breaking The Law - Duration: 4:36.

Recently and EPA official from Donald Trump's EPA was actually arrested in the state of

Alabama.

I'm part of a scheme that he had arranged allegedly to help a coal company avoid having

to clean up some of their toxic waste.

He was arrested, put in handcuffs, and taken to jail where he was then released later on

$30,000 bond.

Now, the reason that story is important is because it just highlights how corrupt and

incompetent everyone in this trump administration truly is.

News Day recently did a phenomenal article about all of the investigations and all of

the scandals that have plagued every single member of Donald Trump's cabinet.

I mean, between Scott Pruitt, Andrew Wheeler at the EPA, Ryan Zinke at the Interior Department,

Steven Mnuchin at the treasury.

Uh, Wilbur Ross has commerce secretary Betsy DeVos at the Department of Education and Ben

Carson at Hud.

Every single one of them has been involved in at least one scandal, one impropriety.

Uh, well, improper activity I should say.

Excuse me.

So why, why are we allowing this to continue?

Is the big question.

I mean, who out there actually believes Donald Trump is still trying to drain the swamp?

That's a question I would love to see answered.

I would love any right wing are out there to send me a message and explain how exactly

trump has drained the swamp because the level of corruption we have seen in this government

has not been seen throughout my entire lifetime.

There are more scandals, more investigations, more lawsuits involving Donald Trump's cabinets.

Then we have seen in modern history, the man didn't drain the swamp.

He refilled it.

This is a level of corruption that is to date on precedented.

Let's go through a few of them.

We, let's start with Betsy DeVos, who's currently being sued because she stood to gain by loosening

the rules for a student loan borrowers, uh, and for profit colleges, of which she has

a financial stake in.

Of course, Ben Carson, his scandal was probably the most talked about, uh, his.

One of the things, you know, buying the 35, $40,000 China set for his office at HUD.

And to be honest, I have to point this out a little bit.

The reason everybody knew about Ben Carson's thing, he had to go and testify in front of

Congress about why he bought these things.

He throw his wife under the bus.

He said she picked it out so you know, that's, that's what happened.

And the guy has no morals and no, you know, courage whatsoever immediately through his

wife under the bus on that.

But I have to say most people don't understand Betsy DeVos is scandalous or Zinke scandals,

scandals or even Wilbur Ross, the scandals, but they all know about Carson's and honestly

I kind of feel like it has to do with the color of his skin.

I feel like Carson, who's scandal is probably the most mild got chosen out of all of them

to be the whipping boy because of the color of his skin.

I mean you've got Mnuchin who should be in prison for what he did during the subprime

lending crisis, but instead he's taken private jets.

He's sitting on the top of Fort Knox watching eclipses and yet we're having congressional

hearings about Ben Carson's dinner plates.

I mean, come on, you have to admit there has to be something showing why we're going after

Ben Carson so fiercely, but not Mnuchin or or even Zinke who is now under an even larger

investigation for approving a land deal from which he profited while being in office.

Zinke also took 66 vacation days in just first 18 months in office.

I've been here 15 years and I haven't taken 66 vacation days since I started.

This dude hits it in 18 months.

The bottom line is this.

There are a lot of scandals involving this trump administration and anyone who believes

that Donald Trump is actually draining the swamp needs to go have their head examined

because they're clearly not paying any attention to what's actually happening in the real world.

Trump's Own Climate Report Shows Dangers Growing All Over U.S. - Duration: 3:58.

This past Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, biggest shopping day of the

year, the federal government finally released its climate assessment report, and in that

report they basically told us that the time for action is now the time for talk has ended,

and if we do not act soon, we can expect catastrophe across the United States.

In fact, the report already tells us that we're already experiencing the effects of

climate change in every state across the US.

Every single state right now is dealing with the impacts of climate change.

According to this assessment released by Donald Trump's government.

Now, everything in this assessment stands in stark contrast to things that trump himself

has said things that other Republicans in dc have said and things that, uh, donald trump's

cabinet members have said, they don't want to talk about climate change.

Most of them don't think it's happening or they've been paid enough by fossil fuel interests

to say that it's not happening or that there's nothing we can do about it.

Or in the rare instance that it's a good thing.

But this report says otherwise it says that we're kind of screwed right now and if you

want to be even more screwed later, continue doing nothing, which is currently the path

that we're on with the trump administration.

There was one bright spot with this particular report and that was that for about 36 to almost

48 hours.

The media was talking about the impacts of climate change.

Politicians were talking about the impact of climate change and the fact that we need

to do something about it for almost 48 hours.

We had conversations about climate change or you may not think that's important, but

trust me, as somebody who has been discussing climate change for over a decade, somebody

who's been working on countering misinformation from right wingers and fossil fuel funded

groups for more than eight years.

I can tell you that 48 hours of coverage of actual climate change discussion in corporate

media is not something we have ever seen.

Even when we have the massive wildfires and the massive hurricanes and droughts and floods

and all that.

They don't talk about climate change.

But here, this past weekend, even though the administration attempted to bury the report

by releasing it on Black Friday, we still had conversations about it.

We have politicians that are coming into DC, newly elected representatives who are bringing

a fight for the climate with them.

We may finally get action, you know, typically a report like this would come out and it would

seem like, well all hope is lost, but it's not lost anymore.

Yeah, we're in a dire situation and we have to do something about it.

But for the first time since I've been talking about it, I'm actually optimistic about it.

I know I'm not optimistic that Donald trump is gonna do something about it, but I am optimistic

about these new comers in Congress who have already gotten some of the old guard Democrats

to join in with the idea of a green new deal.

We can take action and they want to take action and we're likely going to take action once

we get trump out of office.

Once we get these climate change, denying Republican out of office, the American public

wants action.

They've been wanting it for years, a majority of all parties, and now we finally have politicians

who want to put this on the front page.

As long as they keep up that fight and as long as the public pays attention, we will

get some good climate policy out of the Democrats, but only if we keep pushing them to do it.

Thanks To Trump, Number Of People Fleeing The US For Canada Has Skyrocketed - Duration: 3:34.

And we've all heard the trope that if the opposition party wins the presidential election,

I'm moving to Canada.

You know, Democrats set it in the 2004 election with George W. Bush, Republican Senate with

Obama in '08 Democrats said it again with 2016 with Trump.

Everybody wants to move to Canada.

Well, none of that really ever materializes.

Nobody.

I mean there's probably a few people, but even these hardcore party loyalists so mad,

the other side, one, they don't actually end up moving to Canada.

Nonetheless, Canada has seen a massive spike.

It's actually hit historic highs in the number of people leaving the United States to seek

asylum in Canada.

But these aren't disaffected party loyalists.

They're immigrants, naturalized citizens here in the United States.

Some of them even born here, but there are so terrified of the Trump administration and

their anti-immigrant policies and rhetoric that they are trying to seek asylum in Canada.

Last year, the number hit 2,550 US citizens trying to flee our country to seek asylum

in Canada.

And again, these are immigrants.

These are people who are afraid that Donald Trump is going to deport them, even though

they're actually citizens here in the United States.

Many of them born here, but some of them brought their non-citizen parents over so they're

terrified for their family.

So this isn't just about partisan, like I'm pissed you one.

I'm leaving the country.

These are people who have legitimate fears about their own future, about their lives,

about their families having to leave our country because of who the president is and the things

he has said he wants to do.

This has hit a disgusting level here in the United States.

Again, in my lifetime, I have not seen the level of vitriol coming out of the office,

of the presidency towards immigrants ever, ever.

I know it's been worse in the past.

We have done horrible things to US citizens to immigrants, to people of color, the people

of different religions, but in my lifetime I've never seen it like this.

I wasn't alive for some of the worst stuff, but this is bad.

The fact that we have people who fear for their lives in the United States just because

of the color of their skin or their last name or their culture that they brought over, they

fear for their lives so badly that they have to leave this country because of the president

of the United States that tells us we're on the wrong path.

We're on the wrong path.

As a country.

The Republican Party is on the wrong path as a party, but they show no signs of wanting

to correct it.

If anything, they want to double down.

Donald Trump wants that border wall.

He wants more people locked in these detention facilities and that's why they're building

new ones, bigger ones, better ones, more tense, more cages, more people locked up, and that's

why people who wants thought the United States was this beacon of hope, this great country,

this shining city upon a hill.

They're leaving it because now they're seeing it for what it really is a white nationalistic

country that has complete disdain for immigrants.

It shouldn't be this way.

It wouldn't be this way if Donald Trump was not an office, but he is, and so this is the

new reality in which we have to live until we can finally get this disgusting human being

out of the White House.
