Trump news on Youtube Nov 22 2018

It's been a WEEK since Michael Avenatti was arrested on charges of suspected domestic

violence.

"We can confirm that today LAPD Detectives arrested Michael Avenatti on suspicion of

domestic violence," according to the LAPD.

"We can confirm that Michael Avenatti (DOB: 02-16-71) was booked this afternoon on a felony

domestic violence charge (273.5 PC).

His bail is set at $50,000."

President Trump hasn't said anything about it… until now.

@TheAmandaShea

Isn't it ironic how 'Creepy porn star' attorney #MichaelAvenatti who became known by representing

lying female accusers is now being accused of abusing a woman...which he says is false?

#Karma While addressing reporters, President Trump

was asked, "Do you have any reaction to Michael Avenatti being arrested for domestic

violence?"

✔@LAPDHQ

We can confirm that today LAPD Detectives arrested Michael Avenatti on suspicion of

Update: We can confirm that Michael Avenatti (DOB: 02-16-71) was booked this afternoon

on a felony domestic violence charge (273.5 PC).

His bail is set at $50,000.

"No, I wish him the best of luck."

✔@RealSaavedra

President Donald Trump on @MichaelAvenatti being arrested for domestic violence: "I wish

him the best of luck.

I wish him the best of luck."

I wish him the best of luck!" Trump emphatically repeated, with a sly smirk.

According to this: Avenatti has maintained that he is innocent

and has blamed "the right" and controversial figure Jacob Wohl for the charges against

him.

"I'm going to make this very brief and very succinct.

… I have never struck a woman.

I never will strike a woman.

I have been an advocate for women's rights my entire career, and I'm going to continue

to be an advocate," Avenatti told reporters after posting bail.

"I am not going to be intimidated from stopping what I am doing," he continued.

"I am a father to two beautiful, smart daughters.

I would never disrespect them by touching a woman inappropriately or striking a woman.

I am looking forward to a full investigation at which point I am confident that I will

be fully exonerated.

I also want to thank everyone for their support that has reached out.

You know my character, you know me as a man, and I appreciate it."

And if you're wondering why this seems SO familiar?

Well…

POTUS had something similar to say when Alec Baldwin was recently arrested.

• MORE: Actor Alec Baldwin is in custody and

expected to be charged with assault after punching someone following what officials

described as a dispute near his East 10th Street home in New York City's East Village.

✔@ABC

"I wish him luck," Pres. Trump says of Baldwin after being asked about the incident at the

White House.

"WISH HIM LUCK" is the new "Bless his heart."

Tiffany Trump Rocks Mini & Bare Legs As She Heads To Mar A Lago With Ivanka For Thanksgiving – Pics - Duration: 2:42.

Tiffany Trump braved the cold and wore one of her signature minis for Thanksgiving with sister Ivanka! We've got the pics of Tiff's sassy look!    President Donald Trump's youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump, skipped the White House turkey pardon on November 20, but she was spotted with the family getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving in style! Tiffany hopped off Air Force One in Palm Beach, Florida with sister Ivanka Trump and her kids, looking totally glam in a matching peacoat and minidress

Despite the fact that the low temperature in DC was 26 degrees this morning (brr!), Tiffany paid that no mind and went without tights

Tiffany was giving us some serious Elle Woods vibes in this vibrant, pink outfit

The asymmetrical, tuxedo-style jacket covered up her dress completely, but you could see a hint of the skirt

It's a low-cut number with a lace hem. Cute! She was wearing an adorable pair of gold pumps that appear to be brand new — she left the price tags on the bottoms! Overall, this outfit is a total win

Tiffany is a big fan of minidresses, and we don't blame her — girl has amazing, long legs! You can see all the times Tiff rocked a micro miniskirt in THIS gallery! Last Thanksgiving, at the White House turkey pardon, the first daughter came out to support dear old dad while wearing a super-short dress, only covered up by an equally short peacoat

So cute, and so impractical. Obviously, we were eager to see what she wore this year! REX/Shutterstock  Sister Ivanka looked so pretty, too! The White House advisor wore a smart, longline houndstooth coat, a black midi dress, and red riding boots, giving us a sort of "prep school chic look

" That huge, velvet headband? A $170 Lele Sadoughi accessory. Can't wait to see what Melania Trump wears!

Trump slams John Roberts after suggesting 'Obama judges' are biased - Duration: 7:26.

President Donald Trump fired back Wednesday at Chief Justice John Roberts, who had bashed him for claiming the federal judiciary's most liberal court circuit was subject to political bias from an 'Obama judge' who invalidated his newest asylum policy

'We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges,' Roberts said in a statement distributed by the Supreme Court

'What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them

'Trump was on the golf course in Palm Beach, Florida at the time. He tweeted his response after the back nine

'Sorry Chief Justice John Roberts, but you do indeed have "Obama judges," and they have a much different point of view than the people who are charged with the safety of our country,' Trump tweeted

'It would be great if the 9th Circuit was indeed an "independent judiciary",' he added, 'but if it is why are so many opposing view (on Border and Safety) cases filed there, and why are a vast number of those cases overturned

' 'Please study the numbers, they are shocking,' Trump urged Roberts. 'We need protection and security - these rulings are making our country unsafe! Very dangerous and unwise!'Roberts' pushback against Trump marked the first time the Republican-appointed leader of the federal judiciary has offered even a hint of criticism of the president, even though Trump has previously blasted federal judges who ruled against him

Roberts said Wednesday, one day before Thanksgiving Day, that an 'independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for

'The president's latest remarks came as the Supreme Court is enmeshed in controversy over his appointment of Justice Brett Kavanaugh

Several justices have spoken out about judicial independence and the danger of having the court viewed as a political institution that is divided between five conservative Republicans and four liberal Democrats

Trump had spoken Tuesday when a reporter asked for his reaction to a ruling by U

S. District Judge Jon Tigar in San Francisco that put the administration's asylum policy on hold

The president complained that his opponents file their lawsuits in courts that are part of the liberal-leaning Ninth U

S. Circuit Court of Appeals.'Every case that gets filed in the Ninth Circuit, we get beaten

And then we end up having to go to the Supreme Court, like the travel ban, and we won,' Trump said

The president went on to say about the asylum ruling: 'This was an Obama judge.'The initial travel ban ruling in 2017 was issued by U

S. District Judge James Robart, an appointee of President George W. Bush. Roberts also was appointed by Bush

Last year the president used the term a 'so-called judge' after the first federal ruling against his travel ban

During the presidential campaign, Trump criticized Roberts himself for the chief justice's decisive vote in 2012 to preserve the Obama health care overhaul

Trump also referred to a judge who was presiding over a fraud lawsuit against Trump University as a Mexican who would be unable to rule fairly because of Trump's proposal to build a wall along the U

S.-Mexican border. On Tuesday he suggested the entire Ninth Circuit is a liberal playground where Republican policies can't get a fair shake

'Everybody that wants to sue the United States, they file their case in – almost – they file their case in the Ninth Circuit,' he told reporters

'And it means an automatic loss no matter what you do, no matter how good your case is

The Most Dangerous Aspect of the Donald Trump presidency - Duration: 1:46.

Quite possibly the most dangerous aspects of the Donald Trump presidency isn't necessarily

the legislation and proposals being put out, but the damage that is being done to our society

and world as a whole.

Bills and legislation and proposals can all be reversed or struck down with the stroke

of a pen, however the standing and respect of the United States will take years to improve.

When you have the leader who stands on the world stage or tweets about how much he's

in love with a foreign dictator, or how much he doesn't trust his own intelligence communities,

and blindly repeats conspiracy theories as his own personal beliefs, the rest of the

world laughs.

More than this, what we have seen as a direct result of this presidency is a greater and

deepening divide and more hate and rhetoric and vitriol being spewed across the entire

country and the world.

And how about how all of this has impacted our relationships with our friends and family

members?

We may have had our suspicions about our friends and family members over the years, but now

we have seen many families come to terms with knowing exactly where each other stands on

political and social issues and it ain't always pretty.

Our views and beliefs have split and divided us to the tenth degree.

Where once we could have civil disagreements with each other, we've now ended up hating

each other, and how exactly we can work to repair these relationships is beyond me.

I'm not so sure that we can.

It's gonna take us many years to recover from this.

The Trump presidency might be 4 years or 8 years at most should he be elected for a second

term and I don't see the divisiveness going down.

I don't see the hate going down and I don't see people being nasty for the sake of nasty

stopping all of the sudden.

If it was going to happen it would have already.

Can we move forward at this point?

I'd like to think that we can but I'm not exactly sure.

What do you think?

What do you think is the worst aspect of this current administration and how they are affecting

society and the world?

Can we recover or did we really need this as a country in order to understand who we

are and who we're around?

Democrats Sue To Stop Trump's AG Appointment - Duration: 3:56.

A group of Democratic senators have filed a lawsuit in the US District Court for the

district of Columbia, arguing that the appointment of Mathew Whitaker as acting attorney general

by President Donald Trump was completely unconstitutional.

Their argument says that Whitaker's appointment violates the constitution appointments clause

because the US Senate never confirmed Whitaker to any post, so this means that had Whitaker

previously gone through any kind of Senate hearings, Senate confirmations, any kind of

vote whatsoever.

This wouldn't be an issue of him temporarily taking over as attorney general since he did

not go through those processes and was never interrogated by the Senate, never answered

questions, never had to be held accountable for anything.

His appointment to and a confirmed position is unconstitutional according to this constitution

appointments clause.

That's what they're arguing the lawsuit.

Now, on the other side of it, the White House is saying that this absolutely is permitted

through the vacancies reform act, which says the president can appoint a non confirmed

person to a confirmed post for as many as 210 days without them having to go through

the nomination process.

The White House's office of legal counsel has also said, no, no, no.

What trump is doing is 100 percent constitutional.

Now, before we get into the problems with Whitaker, I mean let's focus on the legality

of this for just a minute.

If the Democrats are correct, which it would seem that they are on the surface then yes,

Whitaker could not serve as the acting attorney general and that temporary position would

have to be given to someone who has been confirmed to another position by the Senate.

Makes perfect sense, right?

It's vetting, it's transparency.

It's knowing who this person is in showing that yes, at one point they did have a majority

to put them in office so they could temporarily serve in this capacity.

Whitaker's never had that.

The problem here is that this is going to end up going to a higher court and whatever

that court decides is forever going to change the way things work in Washington DC.

This is bigger than Matthew Whitaker.

This is bigger than Donald Trump.

At least you know in the long run, but what this would mean if a judge rules with the

trump administration is that any idiot off the street quite literally could be appointed

as an acting attorney general.

They can be appointed as any agency head without ever having to sit in front of the Senate

and they could sit there for at least 210 days.

That is a major threat to our democracy.

That is a major threat to the Republic of the United States in the way the government

functions.

Now back to Whitaker.

Obviously this man has huge conflicts of interest and that is exactly why Donald trump put him

in that position.

This is a guy who already laid out in an op ed over a year ago, how he would get rid of

Robert Mueller by essentially defunding the investigation and watching it all unravel.

That is why Donald trump put him there.

Unfortunately, you can't argue that from a legal standpoint, you can't challenge somebody

just because of that, and that's unfortunate because we know that's why it happened, but

that's why the Democrats have to go this alternate route.

Using this obscure clause in the constitution to hopefully force Whitaker out before he's

ever able to do anything drastic in terms of this investigation.

This is a tricky one.

It's one that's going to be appealed, and again, this is a court case like so many others

that is going to have a dramatic effect on the future of this country.

Arjen Lubach's Talk Show Perfectly Lampooned Trump - Duration: 4:05.

-I want to ask, you did a thing on your show

that was so good that pretty much every other country,

at least in Europe, that I know, stole it, which is you --

Obviously, Donald Trump was talking about "America first."

We mentioned it tonight on the show.

You did a video called "Netherlands Second."

-Yeah. -What was the idea behind this?

-Well, it was a response to his remark, "America first."

And we figured -- I mean, okay, we cannot change that.

He's probably -- He's gonna stick to that.

And so we said, "But spot number two is probably open."

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-Yeah, so that's, uh -- -Yeah.

[ Cheers and applause ]

-So, then we decided to make a clip called

"Netherlands Second," and we made an introduction

to our own country in a style that he would understand.

-Yeah. -And was actually in his voice

and his way of speaking, so we --

-Yeah, we actually have a clip. -Yeah.

-Here's one part of "Netherlands Second."

-This is the Afsluitdijk.

It's a great, great wall

that we built to protect us from all the water from Mexico.

In fact, we built an entire ocean, okay?

An entire ocean between us and Mexico.

Nobody builds oceans better than we do.

[ Laughter, cheers, applause ]

-Fantastic. -Yeah.

-Really well done.

-It was a fun thing.

We have this singer in Holland. He's like a cult figure.

And he's called Lee Towers.

And so we figured -- In the video we say,

"Mr. Trump, you have the Trump Towers.

We have Lee Towers."

And what happened afterwards, it's a year later or something,

they built or rebuilt, these big buildings in Rotterdam,

two big towers.

And I found out -- They said, "Do you agree

if we call the towers the Lee Towers?"

So I said, "Well, I don't own the name, but go ahead."

[ Laughter ]

So now, because of our stupid video,

there are two big buildings in Rotterdam

called the Lee Towers. It's such a --

[ Laughter ]

-It seemed like they should've called Lee Towers.

Is Lee Towers still with us? -Yeah.

-Okay, good. -I hope so.

I don't know what happened today, but I think so, yeah.

-Okay, good. [ Laughter ]

Fingers crossed. We'll Edit that out if he --

if something -- -Please do.

-I want to say this.

Sincerely, I lived in Amsterdam in the late '90s.

And I went back a lot.

And there were a lot of failed attempts to do talk shows,

late-night talk shows.

And you seem to have cracked it,

which is a great credit to you.

What do you think it is about your show

that finally managed to make it work over there?

-Well, I probably worked on all those you saw that didn't work.

So that was a good learning... -Sure.

-...period. And, yeah, we --

I don't know, man. We just -- I don't know, man.

[ Laughter ]

We just probably pulled some right strings.

I don't know.

We are a weekly show, so that helps,

'cause in Holland, we don't have the 24-hour news cycle

like you have around here. -Sure.

Yeah, we got a lot going on. Yeah.

-Yeah, you can --

I was awake last night because of all the jet lag,

so you could watch any channel all night.

There are always three people, fully makeup'd,

talking about the news. -Yeah.

We talk about it constantly.

-If you switch on the TV in Holland,

it's just, like, a clock. [ Laughter ]

Really, it's true!

That's not even a joke.

-That's -- Yeah, it's a great show.

I used to watch "Clock" all the time, yeah.

-Yeah. [ Laughter ]

-Hey, just for me, because I lived there

and I love the country so much, I know you're about to go

on a stand-up tour in the Netherlands.

We usually have stand-ups here that'll talk about

where you can see them, where their upcoming shows are.

Can you just list off, just so I can hear them one last time...

-Sure. -...some cities you're going to.

-Sure. Maybe it's nice for the audience

to come where I'm going to -- Enschede...

-Enschede, great. -...Wilminktheater...

[ Speaking Dutch ]

[ Laughter ]

And, yeah...

[ Speaking Dutch ] -Yeah, yeah.

[ Laughter ]

[ Speaking Dutch ] [ Laughs ]

Thank you so much. Arjen Lubach, everybody!

Kellyanne Conway Swears Trump Isn't Too Scared To Talk To Mueller - Duration: 3:07.

On Monday, Kellyanne Conway told reporters that Donald Trump is 100 percent, not afraid

to sit down with Robert Mueller.

This came in response obviously to the fact that Donald Trump recently completed his written

responses to some of the questions from special prosecutor Robert Mueller and Kellyanne Conway

wanted to make sure that all the reporters out there knew that Donald Trump is not afraid

of anything, and he absolutely would sit down with Robert Mueller...he's just not going

to because according to Kellyanne conway a, he doesn't rise to that level and just isn't

necessary for him to do that, which is weird because hasn't Robert Mueller been trying

to negotiate a sit down interview with the president of the United States for, for months

now, almost a year actually.

He's been trying to get his lawyers to agree to let Trump and him sit together in a room

and he asked questions and Trump answers.

Um, so I would say Kellyanne, that, uh, as usual, you're completely wrong about this

and you're absolutely lying through your teeth.

The special prosecutor wants to sit down with Donald Trump.

He would much rather have him tell him the answers to his questions than have to read

them on a form that it's very likely Trump didn't even fill out himself.

Donald Trump is terrified of Robert Mueller, just like he's terrified of visiting troops

overseas, just like he's terrified of going into any natural disaster area in the United

States.

And that's why he typically waits four or five days after the event occurs to get his

ass down there.

He is afraid, he is afraid of everything.

He is afraid of every one, including everyone in that White House because, hey, let's not

forget, we still haven't found out who the White House op ed writer is yet.

He doesn't trust anyone.

He's paranoid as hell.

And he absolutely would be terrified to sit in the same room with Robert Mueller, let

alone answer any of this man's questions.

Furthermore, Rudy Giuliani, donald Trump's lead attorney in this whole mess seems to

corroborate what I'm saying here because he's admitted that if Mueller sat down with Trump,

it will be a trap.

Trump would, uh, you know, perjure himself, he would get caught in a lie.

There's no good outcome for this, so Trump can't do it.

Now, first and foremost, if you're innocent, you don't have to worry about being caught

in a lie.

If you did something wrong and you don't want people to find out, then yeah, it's pretty

easy to perjure yourself, which is pretty much the case with Donald Trump and that's

why he's so terrified.

That's why he's so afraid.

And that's why we're getting reports every other day about the tension and anger growing

inside of him in the White House.

Kellyanne Conway was doing what she does best here, going out there lying to reporters saying

that everything's fine and please ignore the massive dumpster fire going on behind me because

that is exactly what's taking place in the White House.

As Trump grows more afraid and more fearful of what Robert Mueller and the investigators

are going to do to win.

President Trump's Thanksgiving Plans, Cruise Ship Powered by Dead Fish - Monologue - Duration: 3:15.

-Let's get to the news.

President Trump will spend Thanksgiving

at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida,

and he's going to go around the table

and make everyone say why they're thankful for him.

[ Laughter ]

That's right -- President Trump will spend Thanksgiving

at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

and if you're curious what Melania's making,

a run for it!

[ Laughter ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

[ Applause continues ]

After President Trump called

a judge who ruled against his asylum policy

an Obama judge,

Chief Justice John Roberts today defended federal judges

and said, quote,

"We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges,

Bush judges, or Clinton judges."

They do, however, have two judges

appointed by Grover Cleveland.

[ Laughter ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

Lawyers for President Trump said yesterday

that they have provided Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team

with written answers

to questions in the Russia investigation.

And I don't think the answers are going to help his case.

[ Laughter ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

[ Applause continues ]

"The Washington Post" has published a profile

on a Soviet era intimacy book

known as the socialist Kama Sutra.

The way it works is everybody gets some.

[ Laughter ] -Whoo! Ow!

-That was a joke about socialism and [bleep]

[ Laughter ]

Not -- Not easy to do.

[ Laughter ]

A Norwegian cruise liner has announced

it will power a fleet of sheeps --

[ Laughing ] "Sheeps."

[ Laughter ]

In -- In Norway, they don't have boats.

[ Laughter ]

A Norwegian cruise liner has announced

it will power a fleet of ships using dead fish.

That's right -- a ship powered

by Ted Cruz's handshakes.

[ Cheers and applause ]

-Oh, boy.

[ Applause continues ]

-According to "The Washington Post,"

of the 22 charities that canceled events

at President Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort

after he failed to denounce

the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville,

only two have opted to resume holding events at the club.

Said the two charities, "Please stop calling us that!"

[ Laughter ]

"We're people!

Also, we need to borrow some money."

Archaeologists in Pompeii this week

found erotic art featuring Greek mythological characters

that was hidden under ash for centuries.

Archaeologists suspected it was porn

after noticing the pot it was stored in.

And, finally, a website has posted a Thanksgiving recipe

for a hot turkey in an oven bag

that calls for covering a turkey

in crushed hot puffed cheese sticks.

Incidentally, "Hot Puffed Cheese Sticks in a Bag"

is the Secret Service's code name for Trump.

Trump Turns on Allies, Stands by Saudi Arabia: A Closer Look - Duration: 8:42.

-President Trump is turning on some of his closest allies

while standing by the one that pays him, Saudi Arabia.

For more on this, it's time for "A Closer Look."

[ Cheers and applause ]

Trump did a sit-down interview with Fox News over the weekend,

and in that interview, he said some things

that might technically qualify as news.

But one thing he said that was news to nobody

was when he described his decision-making process

and made clear he doesn't really have one.

-When you're sitting at the desk, how do you make decisions?

I mean, do you agonize over them?

Do you second-guess yourself?

-I don't think about it.

I don't think about how I make them.

-Yeah, yeah, we know. [ Laughter ]

It's one of the symptoms.

I imagine Trump makes decisions the same way Netflix's algorithm

suggests something totally random for you to watch.

"Did you enjoy the migrant caravan?

Then you might also like raking in Finland."

[ Laughter ]

So while there's no process to Donald Trump's decision,

there is one central operating principle, and that's loyalty.

Doesn't matter who you are or how decorated you are,

all Trump cares about

is whether you are nice to him or mean to him.

That's why Trump attacked retired Admiral William McRaven,

a Navy S.E.A.L. who oversaw the operation

to kill Osama bin Laden.

McRaven has criticized Trump's attacks on the press,

calling him a threat to democracy,

but when Trump was asked about McRaven

he falsely accused him of being a Hillary Clinton supporter

just because Hillary had reportedly considered him

as a possible running mate in 2016.

-Bill McRaven, retired admiral, Navy S.E.A.L., 37 years,

former head of U.S. Special Operations --

-Hillary Clinton fan. -Special Operations --

-Excuse me -- Hillary Clinton fan.

-I'm so happy we have a president who blurts stuff out

like a "Price is Right" audience member.

"Hillary Clinton! $1!"

[ Laughter ]

Trump has also tried to weaponize

the criminal justice system against his political opponents.

For the same reason he attacked McRaven,

he wants to punish them for their disloyalty,

and he's being egged on by Fox News.

Yesterday, "The New York Times" reported

that Trump wanted to order the Justice Department

to prosecute James Comey and Hillary Clinton.

Some of his more vocal supporters stirred his anger,

including the Fox News commentator Jeanine Pirro,

who has railed repeatedly on her weekly show

that the President is being ill-served

by the Justice Department.

So not only is the President a wannabe dictator

who thinks he can jail whoever he wants,

he also genuinely believes

all the insane stuff he sees on Fox News.

Trump probably sits there all day,

watching Fox and shouting to his aides,

"Prosecute Hillary! Stop the caravan!

And ask my doctor is Otezla is right for me!"

[ Laughter ]

"Why can't I have Otezla?"

[ Laughter ]

Trump doesn't care that Hillary didn't actually break any laws

or that McRaven is Navy S.E.A.L. and decorated military hero

who led a mission to kill the world's most wanted terrorist.

All that matters to Trump is whether you're loyal.

And sure enough, Trump is now questioning

the loyalty of the man who was, constitutionally speaking,

closer to him than anyone else in the federal government.

-In recent weeks, with his electoral prospects

two years from now much on his mind,

Mr. Trump has focused on the person

who has most publicly tethered his fortunes to him.

In one conversation after another,

he has asked aides and advisers a pointed question --

"Is Mike Pence loyal?"

-Damn. Now he's questioning Mike Pence?

How paranoid can you be?

Mike Pence has spent two years

doing everything he can to suck up to Trump.

I mean, he literally copies Trump's physical mannerisms.

Remember that time Trump put his water bottle

on the ground during a meeting

and then Pence immediately did the same thing?

[ Laughter ]

I mean, look at that -- Pence is like a pageant mom

who's doing his daughter's routine

along with her from the audience.

"And clap, then spin, then step, step, step,

then jazz hands, jazz hands, jazz hands.

For Trump, loyalty only goes one way,

and there's no better example of that

than the man who's arguably closer to Trump

than anyone else in the world, Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Just to give you an idea of how loyal Hannity is to Trump,

it was reported a few months ago

that Hannity has Trump's direct phone line

and they talk multiple times a day,

including after the Fox News host

wraps up taping his show most weeknights.

Can you imagine that conversation?

It's probably the phone call version

of two dogs sniffing each other's butts.

[ Laughter ]

And everyone in the White House knows it's happening,

because Trump will walk around, flaunting the fact

that Hannity calls him every day.

White House staff are aware that the calls happen

entering a room and announcing, "I just hung up with Hannity."

[ Laughter ]

No one has parlayed the President

into less impressive celebrity friends.

I mean, JFK used the presidency to hang out with Marilyn Monroe.

Trump plays phone a friend

with the human embodiment of a Christmas ham.

[ Laughter ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

Sean Ham-ity. So that's how close --

[ Laughter ]

That's how -- [ Laughter ]

That's how close those two are,

or at least, that's how close Hannity thought they were

until last week, when "The Daily Beast" reported

that Trump calls Hannity a suck-up behind his back.

Trump has repeatedly made fun of Hannity's interviewing skills

and called Hannity's softball questions dumb.

Now, I think I know what Hannity did to anger Trump.

You see, Hannity has spent hours on his show defending Trump

from one especially salacious rumor

about a certain sex act in a Moscow hotel room,

a rumor so salacious that we will not stoop

to repeat the details of it here on this show.

But as we pointed out before, Sean Hannity often repeats

all the embarrassing details of that specific rumor

on his TV show, which is watched by millions of people,

and I feel like it might have started to annoy Trump,

because Hannity -- Hannity just won't let it go.

-Remember, that's the dossier that talked about Trump

at a Ritz-Carlton in Moscow

with two prostitutes urinating on his bed.

The fake document about President Trump,

and that goes to the Ritz-Carlton,

and that goes to hookers.

Russians and the Ritz-Carlton and hookers.

You know, talking about hookers and urinating in beds.

Hookers, Ritz-Carlton, urinating on a bed.

The Ritz-Carlton and hookers.

Russian hookers.

Trump, hookers, hookers, hookers, hookers, hookers,

hookers, hookers, hookers urinating in his bed.

Peeing, urinating, urinating,

urinating, urinating, urinating, urinating.

Hookers at a Ritz-Carlton in Moscow urinating in the bed.

Employing a number of prostitutes

to perform golden showers, in other words, urination.

-So, Hannity thought it was a good idea to go on his show

and read in detail the single most embarrassing rumor

about his friend, the president.

I mean, now I know why Trump is mad at him.

Or should I say pissed?

[ Laughter, cheers, applause ]

Whether it's Hannity or Pence, anyone who gets close to Trump

eventually learns his loyalty has a limit.

There's really only one way to ensure that Trump

will stand by you, no matter what,

and that's simple -- to pay him off.

That's the lesson Saudi Arabia's learning this week

amid a firestorm over the murder of "Washington Post" columnist

and U.S. resident Jamal Khashoggi.

We know for a fact that Trump has financial ties

to Saudi Arabia because he told us.

-I love the Saudis. Many are in this building.

Saudi Arabia, and I get along great with all of them.

They buy apartments from me.

They spend $40 million, $50 million.

Am I supposed to dislike them? I like them very much.

-Saudi Arabia -- I like the Saudis.

They're very nice. I make a lot of money with them.

They buy all sorts of my stuff, all kinds of toys from Trump.

-Toys?

He sounds like a guy on the street selling knockoff LEGOs.

"They don't snap together. You got to use duct tape."

[ Laughter ]

Trump's financial ties to Saudi Arabia

might explain why he's been so reluctant

to condemn the kingdom

for murdering a journalist and U.S. Resident.

Yesterday, Trump was asked why

he was siding with the oppressive regime

over his own intelligence agencies,

and he gave an answer that made no sense whatsoever.

-Why are you siding with the Saudis

over your own intelligence agencies?

-Because it's America first, to me.

It's all about America first.

-No, that's not America first.

That's Saudi Arabia first.

This guy is George Orwell's worst nightmare,

including the fact that his brain

stopped developing in 1984.

[ Laughter ]

The President is an authoritarian

who demands loyalty and punishes his enemies.

He'll turn on even the people closest to him,

but he'll stand by you

as long as you shower him with gold,

also known as...

-Golden showers.

-This has been "A Closer Look."

[ Cheers and applause ]
