"A new report that former campaign chairman Paul Manafort was wiretapped under secret

court order could bolster President Trump's explosive March claim about surveillance under

the previous administration, after months of media mockery.

The CNN report said the surveillance of Manafort continued into early 2017, covering the period

before and after the November presidential election. This reportedly covered a stretch

when Manafort was known to talk to Trump, though it's unclear whether Trump's discussions

were ever picked up.

Also unclear is where the wiretapping occurred. Manafort has a residence in Trump Tower, as

well as a home in Alexandria, Va.

But the report has forced the media to give a second look at Trump's widely derided

claims this past March that former President Barack Obama had his "wires tapped" at

Trump Tower. The hashtag "TrumpVindicated" was taking off on Twitter Tuesday morning.

Andrew Napolitano, Fox News senior judicial analyst, said the latest report is "absolutely

consistent" with allegations made by Trump and others. And WikiLeaks' Julian Assange

took a jab at CNN for slamming the president's surveillance claims earlier this year.

Back in March, the same outlet declared Trump's claim "baseless" – it was hardly alone

in doing so, as PolitiFact also called the statements "false."

Trump, in a seemingly puzzling tweetstorm at the time, said in March that Obama had

his wires tapped before the election.

"I'd bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama

was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election!" he wrote, later adding: "This

is Nixon/Watergate."

An Obama spokesman at the time adamantly denied that Obama or any White House official ordered

such surveillance.

The latest report does not indicate Obama was involved. It also does not make clear

whether Trump himself was tapped or whether Trump Tower was wired, but leaves open the

possibility.

"If true, it is a felony to reveal the existence of a FISA warrant, regardless of the fact

that no charges ever emerged. The U.S. Department of Justice's Inspector General should immediately

conduct an investigation into these leaks and to examine the motivations behind a previous

Administration's effort to surveil a political opponent. Mr. Manafort requests that the Department

of Justice release any intercepts involving him and any non-Americans so interested parties

can come to the same conclusion as the DOJ – there is nothing there," Manafort's

spokesman, Jason Maloni, said Tuesday.

Many questions remain unanswered. The Justice Department itself, in a recent court filing,

said the DOJ and FBI did not have evidence of any Trump Tower surveillance during the

election.

At the least, the latest report shows a close member of his inner circle was surveilled.

The wiretapping was authorized by a secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA)

court after the FBI started to investigate Manafort in 2014, CNN reported. He's been

under scrutiny over his financial dealings and lobbying efforts with pro-Russia and Ukrainian

officials but has denied colluding with Russia to influence the election.

The order to monitor Manafort was discontinued in 2016, but investigators obtained another

FISA warrant that stretched into early 2017, according to the report.

Some of the intelligence collected during the surveillance reportedly signaled that

Manafort may have pushed for Russian officials to help try to get then-candidate Donald Trump

elected. However, sources told CNN the evidence was not conclusive.

Manafort, according to the report, was not surveilled during the June 2016 Trump Tower

meeting in which Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and Manafort met with Kremlin-linked attorney

Natalia Veselnitskaya.

Manafort – who is a key figure in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into

Russia's involvement with the election – had his Virginia home raided in July by FBI agents

who were looking for financial documents related to the election.

The raid was followed up with a warning to Manafort from Mueller's prosecutors that

they planned to indict him, The New York Times reported.

Manafort, a longtime GOP operative who worked for former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George

H. W. Bush, stepped down as the Trump campaign's chairman in August 2016 amid mounting speculation

surrounding his ties to Ukrainian politics.

If the CNN report is confirmed, Manafort would be the second person affiliated with the Trump

campaign known to be monitored under a FISA warrant, behind former campaign adviser Carter

Page.

Manafort, who registered as a foreign agent this summer, has said his work in Ukraine

was not related to the 2016 campaign."

He also said US officials were looking at five different locations for a late-May or

early-June meeting with Kim – none of them in the US.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who is believed to have been instrumental in facilitating

the proposed summit, is due to travel to the Demilitarised Zone which separates North and

South Korea for an historic meeting with Kim on Friday.

If all goes well, this could pave the way for Mr Trump and Kim to sit down opposite

one another.

Trump Signed His Latest Executive Order And It Will Effectively Eliminate Mass Amounts

Of Democrat Voters On April 10th of this year, the President

officially signed an executive order that will aid in reducing poverty in the United

States by promoting financial opportunity and economic mobility.

However, it has largely been under-reported on.

The White House press office did, however, release a statement on it saying,

"By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United

States of America, and to promote economic mobility, strong social networks, and accountability

to American taxpayers, it is hereby ordered as follows:

Section 1.

Purpose.

The United States and its Constitution were founded on the principles of freedom and equal

opportunity for all.

To ensure that all Americans would be able to realize the benefits of those principles,

especially during hard times, the Government established programs to help families with

basic unmet needs.

Unfortunately, many of the programs designed to help families have instead delayed economic

independence, perpetuated poverty, and weakened family bonds.

While bipartisan welfare reform enacted in 1996 was a step toward eliminating the economic

stagnation and social harm that can result from long-term Government dependence, the

welfare system still traps many recipients, especially children, in poverty and is in

need of further reform and modernization in order to increase self-sufficiency, well-being,

and economic mobility.

Section 2.

Policy.

(a) In 2017, the Federal Government spent more than $700 billion on low-income assistance.

Since its inception, the welfare system has grown into a large bureaucracy that might

be susceptible to measuring success by how many people are enrolled in a program rather

than by how many have moved from poverty into financial independence.

This is not the type of system that was envisioned when welfare programs were instituted in this

country.

The Federal Government's role is to clear paths to self-sufficiency, reserving public

assistance programs for those who are truly in need.

The Federal Government should do everything within its authority to empower individuals

by providing opportunities for work, including by investing in Federal programs that are

effective at moving people into the workforce and out of poverty.

It must examine Federal policies and programs to ensure that they are consistent with principles

that are central to the American spirit — work, free enterprise, and safeguarding human and

economic resources.

For those policies or programs that are not succeeding in those respects, it is our duty

to either improve or eliminate them.

(b) It shall be the policy of the Federal Government to reform the welfare system of

the United States so that it empowers people in a manner that is consistent with applicable

law and the following principles, which shall be known as the Principles of Economic Mobility:

Improve employment outcomes and economic independence (including by strengthening existing work

requirements for work-capable people and introducing new work requirements when legally permissible);

Promote strong social networks as a way of sustainably escaping poverty (including through

work and marriage);

Address the challenges of populations that may particularly struggle to find and maintain

employment (including single parents, formerly incarcerated individuals, the homeless, substance

abusers, individuals with disabilities, and disconnected youth);

Balance flexibility and accountability both to ensure that State, local, and tribal governments,

and other institutions, may tailor their public assistance programs to the unique needs of

their communities and to ensure that welfare services and administering agencies can be

held accountable for achieving outcomes (including by designing and tracking measures that assess

whether programs help people escape poverty);

Reduce the size of bureaucracy and streamline services to promote the effective use of resources;

Reserve benefits for people with low incomes and limited assets;

Reduce wasteful spending by consolidating or eliminating Federal programs that are duplicative

or ineffective;

Create a system by which the Federal Government remains updated on State, local, and tribal

successes and failures, and facilitates access to that information so that other States and

localities can benefit from it; and

Empower the private sector, as well as local communities, to develop and apply locally

based solutions to poverty.""

The executive order continues to describe in great detail and length how the administration

intends on curbing poverty.

But most importantly it focuses on several key factors in achieving this outcome,

improve employment outcomes and economic independence; promote marriage and family as a way of escaping

poverty; address the challenges of hard-to-employ populations;

provide more flexibility to States, while ensuring accountability for achieving outcomes;

streamline services to more effectively use taxpayer resources;

reserve benefits for those truly in need; consolidate duplicative programs;

facilitate greater sharing of information between States and localities; and

empower the private sector to find solutions to poverty

In the fine print of the executive order, the administration makes it clear they will

be increasing work requirements for those utilizing subsidized government benefits,

focusing on using taxpayer dollars for their intended purpose, as well as empowering state

and local authorities to provide services to those in need.

This executive order is going to be yet another notch under the belt of the administration

in curbing poverty and decreasing unemployment.

For the third straight month, the United States has maintained a 4.1 percent unemployment

rate which is the lowest it has been since 2000.

These are near record low numbers at a time when businesses are dealing with a shortage

of labor.

President Trump brought this order about because despite the labor shortage federal government

assistance benefits are being used at an all-time high.

In 2016 alone, a total of 16 million able-bodied individuals were enrolled in the Supplemental

Nutrition Assistant Program . While in January 2018 74 million were enrolled in Medicaid

and the Children's Health Insurance Program . These numbers continue to increase and something

must be done about it which is exactly why the President introduced and signed this executive

order.

By focusing on creating more opportunities for Americans to work it will lead to more

income in their pockets and less of a need for governmental assistance programs.

That means they'll be less likely to vote Democrat.

This is what provides people a pathway to financial freedom and the middle class and

that is what this administration is all about.

Especially given the fact the statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau indicate that 97 percent

of full-time workers eventually move out of poverty.

According to a new analysis by The Wall Street Journal, the top Wall Street banks in the

United States in the first three months of this year have collected a combined $2.5 billion

from the Donald Trump Republican Party GOP tax scam.

$2.5 billion for just a couple banks, 100% from the Republican tax scam.

Those banks are Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Citigroup, and Wells Fargo.

All four of them together sharing $2.5 billion in tax breaks from the Republican Party, but

don't worry, it's not just the Republicans who are helping out the big banks.

Right now there is currently a deregulation bill making its way through the House and

Senate that has plenty of Democratic support that is going to only further increase the

profits of those major banks, and make it all the more likely that they're going to

get involved in risky behavior that's going to lead us to a brand new economic crash at

some point in the very near future.

Also, according to the report from The Wall Street Journal, workers aren't getting a damn

thing.

Only 13% of American workers have gotten any kind of raise, bonus, or other incentive since

these Republican tax cuts were put in place, and most of those are the people who've reported

getting that one-time bonus from their employer.

When you're talking about just four banks that have made $2.5 billion between the four

of them, those thousand-dollar bonuses to maybe 100 workers, they start to look like

crumbs, don't they?

Just like Nancy Pelosi told us, because in reality, that is crumbs.

If your employer gets $750 million in tax cuts in just three months but you get a thousand

dollars before taxes once, wouldn't that be a crumb off of what these other folks are

getting?

The American public is not going to get these tax cuts.

We're not going to get the money from it.

We never do.

We never have.

History has shown us that, and anyone who believed it would happen is an absolute idiot

who needs to go back and study the history of trickle-down economics.

Everybody was warned, and that's probably why a majority of the American public still

thinks these tax cuts were a bad idea, but nonetheless on tax day this week, you had

Donald Trump out there, you had Paul Ryan out there both on Twitter telling us that

American workers across the country were getting raises.

They were doing so much better.

They were seeing so much more money in every single paycheck of theirs.

There was no truth to that statement.

However, and this is how the con works, the people who see those tweets, who support Ryan

or Trump, they believe it.

They understand that they can look at their paycheck and not see an increase, but they

assume, because the president is saying it, that there must be plenty of other people

who are getting the raise, so good for them.

I'm going to be happy for them.

Yeah, I didn't get it, but obviously, according to Trump, my neighbor did, never once bothering

to check with that person and say, "Hey, did you get a raise or a bonus, just curious?"

No, they didn't.

Neither did your other neighbor on the other side, or the person that lives behind you,

or the family down the street, or the people in your workplace, because it's not going

to happen.

That was never the goal of these tax cuts.

The goal of the tax cuts was to give as much money as possible, 1.5 trillion to big banks,

to corporate CEOS, and to the already wealthy elite.

It was a subsidy for people who are already rich.

The poor, the needy, the middle class, the working class, the people who go out there

every day and make this country actually run properly, we don't get a thing from this because

the Republican Party doesn't care

about us.

A new report in the New York Times claims that Donald Trump only sent missiles over

to Syria to bomb those buildings because he had previously tweeted out a few days before

that he was going to be tough on Syria.

Here's the way military officials, including National, excuse me, Defense Secretary Jim

Mattis, this is what they said happened in the week leading up to those missile strikes

in Syria.

Russia came out and said, "United States, if you shoot missiles over here, we're going

to shoot them down."

Then Donald Trump got on his big, bold tweet saying, "They're going to be bigger, stronger,

smarter missiles, and you're not going to be able to shoot them down."

Fox and Friends decides to run a segment saying, "Russia should not be saying that.

We're tougher than them.

We're getter than them," to which Donald Trump then live tweeted that same segment talking

tough about Syria, saying we're going to shoot missiles, we're going to bomb them, we're

going to do whatever we can, all while Jim Mattis is in the background telling Donald

Trump, "First of all, we have no proof that this alleged chemical attack was actually

a chemical attack or that Asad did it.

We don't know the facts, so could you please shut your damn mouth for a few minutes and

stop the tweeting."

Those weren't his exact words, but this is what they're saying kind of happened behind

the scenes.

"Hold off on doing anything until we get the facts."

Then when Trump said, "No, I want to send missiles over there," he said, "Okay, well

let's get the approval of congress first."

Trump said, "No."

"Mister Trump," the official said, "Wanted to be seen as backing up a series of bellicose

tweets with action, but was warned that an overly aggressive response risked igniting

a wider war with Russia."

That is coming from officials in the United States military who were around Trump as he

made the decision.

This was not based on whether or not the chemical attack happened.

This was based on the president saying, "Well shit, I already tweeted that out, so I guess

I got to do it.

All right, let's bomb them."

That's what happened.

For all those people out there who think that, "Oh, Donald Trump's Twitter feed, that's nothing

to talk about.

It's just a distraction," he just bombed the hell out of Syria because he wanted to make

sure that he didn't look like a liar in his tweets saying he was going to be tough on

Syria.

This is what happens when you give the keys to the United States to a petulant little

man child who has no idea what he's doing.

To their credit, people like Jim Mattis who said, "We have no evidence that these attacks

were real, or that they took place, or that this was carried out by Asad, or that it was

a chemical attack, and we have to get the approval of congress," yeah, to his credit

Mattis tried to do it the right way and wait for evidence, but Trump couldn't do that because

he was watching Fox, and Friends and getting mad, and tweeting.

That is what our United States Foreign Policy is based on today.

By that measure alone, Donald Trump needs to be removed from office immediately under

the 25th Amendment as being unfit to serve as the President of the United States.

state essentially have no power to protect our southern border, Trump fired back fast.

After Trump ordered states to send Guard troops to bolster our porous border, Brown issued

the following order:

"California National Guard will not enforce immigration laws or participate in the construction

of any new border barrier."

He added that the federal government is paying for this deployment.

Wait…so we pay for the action, and you have the gall to tell them what to do?

Unsurprisingly, Trump wasn't too pleased with this limitation of authority.

He knows we need those troops to do their jobs if Americans are to remain safe in their

beds at night.

As such, the President took to Twitter and ripped into Brown, saying the federal government

won't pay for troops to go to the border and "do nothing."

Governor Jerry Brown announced he will deploy "up to 400 National Guard Troops" to do

nothing.

The crime rate in California is high enough, and the Federal Government will not be paying

for Governor Brown's charade.

Desperate Trump Hires Rudy Giuliani To Protect Him From Mueller - Duration: 4:48.

On Thursday afternoon, it was announced that Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York

City, the failed Republican candidate for the 2008 Republican primaries, that he would

be joining Donald Trump's legal team because Donald Trump's current lawyers believe that

Rudy Giuliani can come in there and convince Robert Muelller to go ahead and just wrap

up this whole investigation thing.

Now there are several things very, very wrong with putting Giuliani in this position on

Trump's legal team, not the least of which being the fact that this guy hasn't really

been an actual lawyer for well over 30 years.

The last client he actually did represent in court was back in 2006, and that was after

many, many years of a break and he really didn't do anything afterwards.

He just kind of showed up at this law firm that he co-owns to act as their representative

because they thought having a high-profile person in the courtroom for that would help

the company's chance.

The company that Giuliani was in court representing happened to be Purdue Pharmaceuticals, the

makers of OxyContin.

They were in court because in 2006, it was revealed that they had lied to regulators

and investigators about how addictive opioid painkillers like OxyContin actually were.

Rudy Giuliani did such a great job representing them, after being out of the courtroom for

decades, that they had to pay almost $700 million fine for lying to everyone and, of

course, now today, 12 years later, we know the kind of trouble that opioid makers like

Purdue Pharmaceuticals are currently in.

So, yeah, Giuliani, probably not the best guy to represent you because we've seen the

very few organizations that he's represented in the past, and 12 years later, they're still

in very hot legal water.

There's also the fact that Giuliani has nothing to do with Robert Mueller.

That's not why he came on the team, and that's an absolute lie if the administration is telling

us that's why they brought him in.

They brought Rudy Giuliani onto Donald Trump's legal team because he knows how to navigate

New York City, or at least the legal system of New York City.

Right now, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is working to prevent Donald

Trump from being able to pardon anyone prosecuted within that district.

That's important because, as we all know, Jared Kushner is under several investigations

just in New York, and there's other investigations going on into Donald Trump himself and other

members of the Trump Organization in New York.

Giuliani was brought in to help circumnavigate that.

This has nothing to do with Mueller.

This has everything to do with all of the other investigations into Trump and his business

and his family and their businesses.

That's what Giuliani is doing on that team.

Do not believe for one second that anyone, including Giuliani himself, believes that

he's going to work out a deal with Robert Mueller to go ahead and just wrap up this

investigation.

This investigation gets wrapped up when they finish, when they come to a conclusion, when

they find whatever it is they're looking for or realize that what they're looking for cannot

be found because it does not exist.

That is how investigations end.

Donald Trump's legal team knows that.

Giuliani knows that.

This is such crap that they're saying, "Oh, well, he's going to work with Mueller to kind

of wrap this thing up."

No, no, no, no.

He's going to pretend to be working with Mueller.

They want the public to think he is, but in reality, he's going to go talk to Schneiderman,

try to work their way around this whole pardon issue, find out what Schneiderman and other

investigators in New York City know so that they can prepare Donald Trump and prevent

him from being indicted in that city as opposed to the federal indictments that might be coming

from the Mueller investigation.

The Trump Administration knows what they have done.

Donald Trump is well aware of what his businesses have been involved in and what his family's

been involved in, and clearly, he's much more worried about the investigations in New York

than he is about the one being conducted by Robert Mueller, and that should tell us something.

Melania Trump thanked Texas law enforcement for keeping everyone safe, as they traveled

to Houston to say their final goodbyes to Barbara Bush.

who was laid to rest in an emotional ceremony on Saturday.

The first lady took to Instagram to share a photo of her posing with dozens of officers

and military personnel, writing in the caption: 'Thank you to Texas law enforcement for ensuring

the safety of everyone today'.

Trump, who attended the services without husband President Donald Trump, also posted a photo

from the order of service.

'It was my honor to travel to Houston to give my respects to Barbara Bush and the remarkable

life she led as a mother, wife, and fearless First Lady,' she wrote.

'My sincerest thoughts and prayers continue to be with George H.W., and the entire Bush

family.'

Trump was one of the many notable figures who attended Bush's invitation-only service

at St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston.

Before the service began Trump was seen smiling as she appeared to share a pleasant moment

with former President Barack Obama as they sat side by side.

However, her interaction with the Clintons did not seem as warm judging from video footage

of the event.

Video of the procession showed Melania took her solo seat next to Barack and Michelle

as Bill and Hillary Clinton sat the furthest away.

As the Clintons read the service program and Michelle sat patiently, Melania appeared to

say something comical to Barack.

Barack chuckled and added his own comment back, to which Melania simply smiled.

Melania arrived in Houston on Saturday to be at the service and was minus her husband,

who was in Palm Beach.

She took to Twitter to share thoughts along with a portrait of the former first lady that

sits in the White House.

'What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful woman who lived for God, family and country,' she

said.

President Trump did not attend the mass in order to 'avoid disruptions due to added security.'

This is not at all uncommon for a sitting president, with Obama opting not to attend

the funerals of both Nancy Reagan and Betty Ford.

Mrs Bush's son was not at the funeral for Lady Bird Johnson in 2007 when he was president.

He headed off to the golf course on Saturday but then left, tweeting: 'Heading to the Southern

White House to watch the Funeral Service of Barbara Bush.

First Lady Melania has arrived in Houston to pay our respects.
