The NFL players who are protesting the national anthem probably think that there's safety

in numbers and that the social justice warriors will always jump up and defend them.

They probably think that the only thing they're actually risking is a little short-term bad

press, especially considering that 200 players took place in the protests over the weekend.

The only problem with that theory is that their value to their team and their league

is only in as much as they bring in money.

It was all fun and games when people were watching the games just to see who would stand

and who would kneel.

Now though, not only does the NFL stand to lose hundreds of millions of dollars because

of the plummeting ratings, but they could lose federal funding.

One fun little thing that most of us don't talk about is the fact that the NFL gets over

a billion (that's with a B, let that sink in) in taxpayer-funded federal subsidies and

now that the players have told President Trump what they think of him, all of that is in

jeopardy.

Stuart Varney joined FOX and Friends on Monday to discuss the NFL national anthem controversy.

On Sunday over two hundred NFL players and staff knelt down in protest during the national

anthem.

Varney reminded the FOX and Friends hosts that NFL stadiums have collected over $1 billion

in federal subsidies.

Taxpayer subsidies go to the building of stadiums.

There have been 20 new NFL stadiums since 1997.

All of them have received a degree of taxpayer subsidies.

According to FOX Sports over the last 20 years, the American public has spent more than $7

billion dollars to build or renovate NFL stadiums, taking on 46 percent of the total costs of

those projects.

Well, how about that; it turns out that there's even more that the government and taxpayers

do for those players than just show up at their games and buy their overpriced jerseys.

Apparently, our hard earned tax dollars are going to help out with those stadiums that

we only get to enter when we pay an additional fee.

There are about to be a lot of players that find out just how disposable they are after

the NFL gets a look at their yearly bottom line with those subsidies and minus the hundreds

of millions that they'll lose from advertisers.

There was at least the possibility that the league would be able to pull this together

before the players started pointedly objecting to President Trump supporting the anthem and

the flag.

While his statements may have been rather pointed, so were their protests and these

players do need to be reminded of their place.

And in case you were unclear about the President's position on the subject, he might have slid

a little Easter egg in to show us exactly what he thinks.

That's the question that exploded on social media after President Trump appeared to furtively

flip the bird while discussing New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

Kraft had criticized the president's stance that NFL players should not disrespect the

national anthem or the American flag.

'I am deeply disappointed by the tone of the comments made by the President,' Kraft

said in a statement, where he called Trump's remarks "divisive."

Not all that unusual for someone to disagree with the President.

That's pretty much the liberals bread and butter, but what President Trump did in response

might tell us what he thinks about it.

"When asked about Kraft's remarks on Sunday, Trump doubled down on his original position.

'I think it's very disrespectful to our country [to not stand for the anthem],'

he said.

'I think it's very disrespectful to our flag.'

While making the statement, Trump used his middle finger to sweep back his hair, triggering

leftist snowflakes who swore the president flipped the bird on camera.

Mind you, these are the same psychos who wear vagina hats and tampon earrings as they riot

and smash windows."

You can decide whether or not you think the President was flipping anyone off, or if that's

just an affectation, but regardless, he wasn't happy with the team owners sentiments.

Perhaps if we can't get the players to respect the anthem, we should put the National back

in the National Football League and make it all ex-military members.

Maybe that could be a perk of joining the military; you're eligible to play for the

NFL after you get out.

You can bet that this problem would go away one way or another.

Either the current players would mind their manners, or the new ones we get would know

what to do when the anthem plays.

According to leaked information from President Trump's latest executive order, any illegal

found to be living on welfare would immediately have their asses packed up shipped back to

their homeland.

But it gets even better.

Any person believed to be coming to America to just freeload, could be permanently banned

from entering America too.

Conservative Daily Post reports:

President Trump's administration will be looking to roll out more restrictions on immigrants

planning to enter the U.S., as well as those already in the country.

The administration would be seeking to "deny admission to any alien who is likely to become

a public charge" and develop standards for "determining" whether an immigrant can

be deported after five years, if that person receives a certain amount of public assistance,

including Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Medicaid.

The second order, titled "Executive Order on Protecting American Jobs and Workers by

Strengthening the Integrity of Foreign Worker Visa Programs" calls for eliminating the

jobs magnet that is driving illegal immigration to the United States.

The order would rescind any work visa provisions for foreign nationals found not to be in "the

national interest" or in violation of U.S. immigration laws.

The term "sanctuary city" is a generalized description where city funds are not used

to implement federal immigration laws.

These cities have decided by legal regulation not to inquire about the immigration status

of the people in which they come in contact.

In other words, it's another form of "don't ask, don't tell."

Sanctuary cities continue to be a festering public-safety concern throughout the country.

ICE has identified about 300 cities that are uncooperative and obstruct immigration enforcement.

There are four whole states, California, Connecticut, New Mexico, and Colorado that have declared

as sanctuary states.

A detainer is the primary tool used by ICE to gain custody of illegals for deportation.

It's a notice to other law enforcement agencies that ICE intends to take custody of the alien.

It also includes information on the alien's criminal history, immigration violations and

potential threat to public safety.

While many Americans, even veterans, struggle with getting adequate medical care, not so

with the illegals.

Medical care provided to illegal immigrants is costly for New York City's legal residents.

A 2002 report by the United States General Accounting Office, in-patient care in hospitals

provided to illegal immigrants cost the state $474 million.

However, this figure fails to include the out-patient costs associated with treating

the illegal immigrant population in emergency rooms.

When these figures are included, the overall taxpayer-funded, non-reimbursed medical outlays

for health care provided to the state's illegal immigrant population amount to an

estimated $690 million a year.

Almost half the households headed by an illegal immigrant are receiving welfare, food assistance

and health benefits for their children.

In total, the illegal immigrant population residing in New York costs the state's taxpayers

more than $5 billion per year for education, medical care and incarceration costs.

On a per person basis, the annual tax burden amounts to about $874 per New York household

headed by a native-born resident.

That's just for New York!

Sanctuary city status has really paid off for them.

Multiply New York's cost of public assistance for illegals by 300, the number of sanctuary

cities, and a clearer picture is shown.

We can't continue this way.

This flies in the face of globalism and open borders.

Just look how that's worked out for Europe.

Angela Merkel and European Union leaders are reeling from the defeats they're facing

from their open borders policies.

Their globalist agenda is being challenged by the voters in their respective countries.

The United Nations won't give up on it and plans to push for the New World Order.

Brexit is an abbreviation for "British exit," which refers to the June 23, 2016, referendum

whereby British citizens voted to exit the European Union.

With an austerity program in place and its economy barely out of recession, Britain is

one of several European countries whose voters appear disenchanted with mainstream politicians

and worried about social and economic issues, including immigration.

The proposed changes would make it easier to deport foreigners who commit serious crimes,

increase fines on companies that use illegal labor and force private landlords to check

the immigration status of their tenants.

Temporary immigrants would also be required to pay for some of their health care.

Sorry welfare leeches, your time to freeload on the backs of hardworking Americans has

just come to an end.

Americans are patiently watching the current state of the National Football League, as

professional athletes — who are paid millions — continue to disrespect the United States,

the national anthem, flag, and the military.

The President took to Twitter and announced, "The NFL is now thinking about a new idea

– keeping teams in the Locker Room during the National Anthem next season.

This message is one of many from the President regarding the national anthem protests in

the NFL.

Former San Francisco 49ers player Colin Kaepernick started the trend of kneeling during the national

anthem back in 2016.

It was mostly forgotten about as the season progressed, and then it practically exploded

at the start of the 2017 season.

President Trump, seemingly irritated by the kneeling, suggested during a speech that players

who kneel should be fired.

This ignited the protests, and liberal football players were kneeling by the hundreds during

the second week of the 2017 NFL season.

The number of players kneeling has dropped drastically, but it is still a regular occurrence.

As a result, NFL fans are expressing their displeasure with their wallet.

Organizations like Veterans of Foreign Wars are canceling their NFL television subscriptions.

Veterans involved with the program see the national anthem protests as disrespectful

to not just the country, but also the military.

Sponsors of the NFL, like Papa John's, are voicing their concerns that the protests might

be causing lower-than-average sales numbers, according to The Hill.

The actual number of people watching games has fallen dramatically, so there appears

to be a correlation — though the degree to which it is affecting their sales is unknown.

Players claim that the protests are a way to combat "police brutality," racial injustice,

and other social justice themes.

However, that meaning has long since been drained from their cause.

Many suggest that what the players are doing is nothing more than virtue signaling.

They are calling media attention to their act of protest on the field, while failing

to take action in addressing the problems they see in society.

The tweet that President Trump recently published is in response to a report by The Washington

Post.

The Post reported that a source told them the NFL may start keeping players in the locker

room during the national anthem next season.

It is safe to say that most Americans feel the same way President Trump does — this

"solution" is just as unpatriotic as kneeling during the national anthem.

The league is considering making all of the players stay in the lockerrooms in defense

of the players, not as a measure to satisfy their upset fans.

The NFL has not officially announced any changes to their national anthem protocol for next

season.

If they go through with this move, President Trump and many other Americans are going to

be left feeling extraordinarily disappointed.

How many Congressmen were using these funds to hush up victims?

How far does it go?

Right now we know of multiple democrats who have assaulted women.

Their careers are in jeopardy.

They will most likely be voted out next election.

If more names are revealed, you can count of them too getting ousted.

That includes any establishment republicans who have been up to no good.

This could single-handedly eliminate the D.C. swamp.

At 1600 Pennsylvania Ave though, they're keeping it pretty classic and decorating for

Christmas.

While the President rarely takes a day off from the constant problem solving and history-making,

the First Lady has a somewhat more enjoyable task of getting the entire White House ready

for the Holiday season, and they consider Christmas to be the biggest part of that.

The Trump Family has made it clear that they're not shying away from religion or continue

trying to make the White House completely PC, the way their predecessors did.

They're going to be saying "Merry Christmas."

They're going to be making a big deal about the celebration of the birth of Christ, which

isn't sitting well with liberals.

Daily Mail reports on the Christmas preparations:

"It is the most wonderful time of the year – and it appears first lady Melania Trump

is already full of the festive spirit.

The 46-year-old mother-of-one began preparations for Christmas at the White House this week,

first receiving the official tree on Monday, along with her 11-year-old son Barron, and

then beginning the all-important task of decorating it – and the building itself.

Melania shared pictures of herself, taken across a couple of days, on Twitter in which

she can be seen hanging ornaments on a tree, putting some finishing touches to a bow on

a wreath, and admiring the traditional gingerbread White House along with the official pastry

chefs who are responsible for preparing the tasty creation each year."

Despite being the picture of class, kindness, and dignity, liberals still love to hate on

Melania Trump for what almost anyone would consider to be petty reasons.

Since you can't actually bash a person for just not being who you want them to be, they

persist in picking her apart.

You'll notice in the reports on the First Lady's Christmas Tree decorations, that

the fact she is wearing a coat seems to be constantly pointed out.

Interestingly, Melania was pictured wearing a coat in several of the snaps, despite being

indoors, including this one where she was shown the official gingerbread White House.

Melania even managed to maintain a suitably-wintry outfit while decorating, opting to keep a

warm coat on, despite being inside the White House.

Some of the pictures, which show Melania admiring the gingerbread house, and then decorating

it with a tiny wreath made of icing, appear to have been taken shortly after she and son

Barron oversaw the arrival of the official White House tree.

In them, Melania is wearing the same festive red turtle-neck sweater, black trousers, and

knee-high leather boots she was pictured in when the tree was delivered to the White House

– as well as the same warm red-and-blue plaid coat she had on to keep out the winter

chill.

Others show FLOTUS in a chic beige dress as ties a bow on a wreath and puts up official

White House-themed decorations on a small tree – which she does while wearing a matching

collared coat, again despite being indoors, with her hair left in loose waves around her

shoulders.

Melania shared the images on her official Twitter account, along with the caption, 'Preparations

are underway to celebrate holidays at the @WhiteHouse."

So what exactly are the liberals problem with the First Lady?

By all accounts, she should be loved.

She's an immigrant, she was a single woman in New York who made a name for herself in

one of the most competitive jobs in the world.

She's college educated and speaks multiple languages, and doesn't tell other people

how to live their lives.

Feminists should be flocking to her if they really believed what they said the believed.

The problems that liberals have with Melania Trump are simple really; she's not Michelle

Obama, and she's married to Donald Trump.

And even though the liberals and feminists swear up and down that they would never tell

someone who to love, they tell her not to love President Trump, and even though they

would never define a woman by a man, they define her by him.

Thankfully, she doesn't seem to care that much what people say about her.

"It has certainly been a festive week for the Trump family; on Tuesday, the president

and his wife hosted the annual National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation during which he pardoned

a turkey called Drumstick as is tradition in the White House.

While addressing the crowds at the event Trump, standing alongside Melania and Barron, pointed

out that in his first ten months in office he's worked to overturn the executive actions

of his predecessor, President Obama.

'However, I have been informed by the White House counsel's office that Tater and Tot's

pardon cannot, under any circumstances, be revoked,' the president joked, name-dropping

the heir and the spare of last year's turkey pardon."

Its sentiments like that; the complete disregard for appeasing the easily triggered that makes

liberals hate him, and because they hate him, they hate her.

The fact that this indivisible unit is serving God and country together, unphased by the

livid liberal masses angers them even more.

This Thanksgiving, whether you're trimming a tree or just trimming the odds you'll

ever fit into your skinny jeans again, be sure to give thanks for a First Family who

doesn't back down when bullied and stays the course, making America Great Again.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday continued the presidential tradition of pardoning a

turkey ahead of Thanksgiving, granting a reprieve to a bird named Drumstick and landing a jab

against his predecessor in the process.

�I�m pleased to report that unlike millions of other turkeys at this time of year, Drumstick

has a very, very bright future ahead of him,� he said.

The lighthearted ceremony at the White House Rose Garden included a joke at the expense

of his predecessor, according to NBC News.

Trump began by explaining what will become of Drumstick and an alternate who will also

be spared the dinner table on Thursday, Wishbone.

�Upon being pardoned, Drumstick and his friend Wishbone will live out their days at

Gobblers Rest, beautiful place,� he said.

�It�s custom built, it�s an enclosure on the campus of Virginia Tech.�

At that exhibit, Trump said the birds will �join Tater and Tot, the two turkeys pardoned

last year by President Obama.�

Pivoting to the previous administration, Trump noted that he has been �very active in overturning

a number of the executive actions� enforced during the Obama administration.

That pattern, however, will not extend to the poultry pardons, Mediaite reported.

�I have been informed by the White House counsel�s office that Tater and Tot�s

pardons cannot under any circumstance be revoked.�

Trump concluded that the turkeys spared a year ago can �rest easy� under a new administration.

As The Western Journal reported, Drumstick and Wishbone were nominated for the pardon

by Carl Wittenburg, whose family raised them.

Ahead of the ceremony, he explained some of the characteristics that made them stand out

among the roughly 80 birds in their flock.

Wittenburg said he paid attention to �their character, their temperament, their showmanship

and how they looked strutting their stuff.�

Most important, he added, is the bird�s ability to �handle the show.�

The White House posted a Twitter poll seeking the public�s input on which turkey Trump

chose for the pardon.

Drumstick, who won the survey despite Wishbone�s last-minute public appearance at the White

House briefing room Tuesday, behaved admirably during the ceremony.

Trump also gave himself high marks.

�I feel so good about myself doing this,� he said before issuing the pardon.

Trump Voters Admit They Are Embarrassed For Voting For "Baffling Fool" Donald - Duration: 2:56.

Recently in North Carolina, a focus group of people who voted for Donald Trump was convened

where they gave their current thoughts on the president of the United States.

And much to Donald Trump's chagrin, it wasn't anything that he should be out there tweeting

happily about.

According to the people assembled in this focus group, they're embarrassed that they

voted for Donald Trump.

They're not embarrassed by his current behavior.

They're embarrassed that they voted for him because of his current behavior.

They also referred to him as a baffling fool, which has shown itself to be true both on

the stage here in America and during his trips abroad.

Donald Trump absolutely is a baffling fool, and anyone who voted for him should be embarrassed

about that fact.

But here's the big problem with the stories like these where Trump voters come out and

say, "We're embarrassed," or "We were fooled," or "I wish I hadn't done that."

Is it because of his behavior, or is it because of his policies?

There's a very distinct difference between those two things.

If it's just because of his behavior, then those people have not seen the light.

He was like this before the election.

Nothing's changed.

He was an asshole then, and he's an asshole now, and he'll be an asshole afterwards.

So I don't understand why suddenly, his disgusting behavior bothers you.

Now, if it's because of policy, then there's hope, because Donald Trump's policies, as

I have said time and time again, are no different from any other Republican in this country.

Tax cuts for the wealthy, strip Obamacare for millions of American citizens, repeal

regulations to allow corporations to pollute our environment and destroy our air and water

... those are basic tenets of the Republican party.

So if these people are embarrassed about Donald Trump because of his policies, then there

is hope for them.

There's hope for the Democratic party.

There's hope for this country.

But if they're only embarrassed by the way he acts, by the way he speaks, by what he

tweets, then those are still people that, at the end of the day, are going to go back

and vote Republican.

They're going to vote for a Paul Ryan or a Mitch McConnell or a Mike Pence or even a

Donald Trump again.

Don't be fooled by these stories.

It's fun to see Trump voters regret their decisions, but if they don't regret their

decisions based on policy, then they really won't change a thing about their voting behavior.

Recently, it has been pointed out that a lot of the feuds that Donald Trump likes to pick

on Twitter happen to be with people of color.

Earlier this week, we saw him go after Seattle Seahawks player, Marshawn Lynch.

Oh, excuse me.

He's not even with Seattle anymore.

But anyway, NFL player, Marshawn Lynch, because he sat down during the US national anthem

and so Donald Trump called for Marshawn Lynch to be either removed from the NFL, or suspended,

or fined, or even put in jail.

Then if we look back just a few days before that, Donald Trump was attacking the father

of a college basketball player who also happened to black.

He also went after Representative Wilson on Twitter, who happens to be black.

There's a pattern emerging that a lot of people in this country have noticed.

Now, Donald Trump is no stranger to attacking many people on Twitter of all races, religions,

and everything, but it's the ones that he truly tries to harp on repeatedly, they always

happen to be black.

Why?

Well, the short answer, the easiest answer, and the most obvious is that Donald Trump

is inherently racist no matter what he tells us to the contrary.

But it also tells us something else and this isn't just about Donald Trump.

It tells us that his staff, John Kelly, the chief of staff, who's supposed to be the voice

of reason in the Trump administration, it tells us that they've given up.

Nobody is reining in Donald Trump on Twitter anymore and that's what a recent story in

The Week was trying to tell us.

Nobody is looking over Donald Trump's shoulder.

Nobody is trying to tell him that he's starting feuds that he can't possibly win or that it's

giving his administration bad optics by picking so many fights for so long against so many

people of color.

They don't care anymore.

Is it because they think Donald Trump won't be in office for much longer once this special

prosecutor investigation goes a little further?

Or is it because they, too, hold these views?

Either way, there could be somebody, anybody within that Trump administration to have the

guts and courage to walk up to the President and say, "What you're doing is wrong.

It's obvious why you're doing this.

Could you just put the Twitter down for half a day?

A day maybe?

Make the whole country happy for a little bit?

Not give red meat to the opposition who is just waiting to attack you?"

Either Trump's staffers aren't smart enough to think like that or they don't have the

courage.

But either way, my advice to those people is go ahead and stand up to him.

What's the worst he could do?

Fire you?

Yeah.

Being without a job sucks, but I'm sure you can probably find work somewhere else.

Not to mention the fact that you could probably go work for somebody who's probably not going

to end up in prison, as Donald Trump is very likely to do.

At this point, you have nothing to lose.

Stand up to the man.

Go tell him what you think.

Go tell him that he's making bad decisions.

Because at the end of the day, it's people like that, people with the courage to stand

up who are going to be the ones to actually affect change in the United States.

Recently CNN decided to have another one of their little panels where they pulled in a

bunch of Donald Trump supporters.

This time they pulled in six people and they asked them what it would actually take for

them to believe that Donald Trump colluded with Russia during the 2016 campaign, and

one of the people on that panel, Mark Lee, said it best.

He said, "Even if there was evidence that Donald Trump colluded with the Russians during

the 2016 campaign, even if Jesus Christ himself came down and said that it happened, I would

still take Trump's word for it."

Right now in the United States a Trump supporter, an average typical day workaday Trump supporter

will always take the word of Donald Trump even, in his own words, over the word of Jesus

Christ himself.

Now, I don't care if you're a religious person or not.

The fact that a Trump voter says that if Jesus Christ emerged from the clouds and came down

and said, "Hey, I don't know who you are, but anyway, I've got all this information

about how Donald Trump colluded with the Russians."

That guy is still going to look at him and say, "You know what?

No thanks.

I believe that he didn't do it because he says he didn't do it."

Now over the years doing this we've seen levels of stupidity that I really thought this country

would never hit, really hope we wouldn't.

But this particular statement from this Donald Trump supporter on CNN absolutely takes the

cake of one of the dumbest most closed-minded things I think I've ever heard in my entire

life.

We are dealing with an opposition side here that doesn't accept reality.

We are dealing with an opposing side that refuses to accept reality and readily admit

that they will not accept reality.

At that point in those instances what do you do?

How do you fight back against that?

When somebody admits that there's no level of rational argument, there's no level of

evidence, there is no level of anything in this world that would make them stop believing

what they believe, the short answer is you don't.

You cannot change those people's minds.

Your best bet is to work with people who are a little more pliable, a little more open

minded, people who do understand that evidence is evidence of wrongdoing.

But the people like this guy, Mark Lee, who said that even if Jesus descended from the

heavens to hand over the intelligence himself I wouldn't believe him, people like that unfortunately

have to be written off.

Don't waste your time trying to argue with these people.

Don't waste your time trying to talk any sense into them.

It's not going to happen.

If you want to talk to somebody, go talk to a swing state voter, go talk to somebody who's

on the fence, got talk to somebody who's registered as an independent.

Those are people that are still reachable.

Those are people that can be shown the light.

But this guy, Mark Lee, people like him because there's a lot of them, do not waste your time

ever trying to talk sense into somebody that doesn't believe that reality actually exists.

What could give the deplorables a happier Thanksgiving than knowing that Donald Trump

is the President?

How about knowing that he has once again taken steps that will simultaneously keep us safe

and trigger liberals around the nation.

That's the unexpected Thanksgiving gift that we received today in the form of a famous

@realDonaldTrump tweet.

The Commander-in-Chief might be away from the White House to celebrate the holiday,

but he's keeping people on their toes by telling his plans on Twitter.

Today's joyous announcement has to do with our southern border and his determination

to build that wall.

The Hill reports that not only is the President working toward a better border, the confidence

that he inspires has helped the economy as well:

"President Trump wished his Twitter followers a Happy Thanksgiving early Thursday morning,

touting the strong performance of the nation's stock market and vowing to build a wall along

the U.S. border with Mexico.

"HAPPY THANKSGIVING, your Country is starting to do really well.

Jobs coming back, highest Stock Market EVER, Military getting really strong, we will build

the WALL, V.A. taking care of our Vets, great Supreme Court Justice, RECORD CUT IN REGS,

lowest unemployment in 17 years….!"

Last month employers added 261,000 jobs, and the unemployment rate fell to 4.1 percent,

the lowest level since December of 2000 when it was 3.9 percent, the Labor Department reported

on Friday.

Trump and his aides have frequently taken credit for the stock boom, a rare step for

administrations wary of tying themselves to any unforeseen market downturn.

Trump has recently reiterated his calls to build a wall along the country's southern

border after a U.S. Border Patrol agent died from injuries he sustained on patrol in Texas.

"We will seek out and bring to justice those responsible.

We will, and must, build the Wall!" Trump said earlier this week.

Building a wall along the country's southern border was one of the president's key campaign

promises.

He often reiterates his call for border security."

Building a border wall was one of the President's more controversial policies among the left.

For some reason, the left seems to be under the impression that no matter how many immigrants

we bring in, we will be able to feed, house and medically cover all of them, if the mean

old conservatives will just let them come be free.

Those of us who paid attention in 5th-grade math, or even just know how to use the calculator

on our phones have been crunching the numbers and we're pretty sure that's not going

to work.

Math notwithstanding, enforcing the laws Congress has already passed about how someone can enter

the country is still highly unpopular and people are willing to go to great lengths

to demonstrate that.

According to a USA Today story, one activist group went so far as to go to Mexico just

so they could display a light show on the border wall prototypes.

I think it's safe to say that they're triggered:

Jill Marie Holslin and an activist group called the Overpass Light Brigade stood on their

trucks in Tijuana, Mexico, on Saturday, projecting their protest onto segments of the wall they

opposed.

They covered the prototypes with white light: the Statue of Liberty, a lucha libre mask,

a ladder that stretched to the top of the wall.

"The federal government has this very inflated idea of its power, of the massive power of

these prototypes, the massive power of this border wall to supposedly seal the border,"

Holslin said.

"We wanted to deflate that in a humorous way."

Holslin, an American artist, and professor who lives in Tijuana, spends her days exploring

the landscapes of Baja California.

She fills her website with photos of Tijuana's urban art and growing culture, trying to push

the city's reputation away from its lecherous past.

For months Holslin studied the area where the rough drafts of President Trump's proposed

border wall would stand.

When construction of the prototypes began in San Diego, she made sure to be one of the

first activists to publish a photo of them.

Then she started planning her protest.

She wanted something harmless, something that could make her point without vandalizing federal

property.

Something local.

Something that crossed borders.

Then the Overpass Light Brigade called.

The Wisconsin-based group wanted to bring its projector to the border.

Holslin suggested they work together.

They met in Tijuana a week before the demonstration, creating stencils and planning a response

if Border Patrol agents or Mexican police confronted them.

Holslin decided not to give the neighborhood advance notice, in case their lights led to

trouble.

"We expected some kind of pushback," Holslin said.

"But we got absolutely nothing."

When the light came on, just after 4 p.m. Saturday, nobody seemed to notice.

The Mexican police didn't confront them.

A Border Patrol truck parked by one of the walls didn't stir.

The Arizona Republic contacted Customs and Border Protection for comment, but the agency

has not yet responded."

No one has responded because nobody really cares.

This is a harassment equal to that of a tiny, yipping dog, trying to sink his teeth into

an Army tank; there's little chance that performance art is going to slow down progress

on a wall that will keep Americans safe.

President Trump, meanwhile, is happily spending his Thanksgiving with his family at Mar-a-largo

where he plans to deliver a Thanksgiving message to the soldiers serving overseas and visit

the Coast Guard who are quartered in Florida.

qualms about that now I know there might be some pushback from some evangelical

privately the dirty little secret is they're getting more access and FaceTime

with this president than george w bush the evangelical president there's not

sense that all of these folks just kind of keep coming in and out of it's like a

shuttle bus going into the White House form evangelicals and it's interesting

because I actually emailed a evangelical leader the other day and I said hey

there are a couple evangelical leaders at the White House today what's going on

there you know try try to get a source and a guy says to me there's

always evangelical leaders here every single day and that really is the case

compare this White House when it comes to Bible studying in the evangelical

movement to the last administration well I mean look there were Bible studies I'm

up on Capitol Hill and there's and there's no Bible studies of Democrats

and Republicans together and you know I know the president President Obama took

a state very seriously and I know he got some pushback in evangelical circles so

there was some of that but but this is much different because this is a

president President Trump who encourages the evangelicals and the Bible studies

and the cabinet meetings and it's interesting if you talk to evangelical

leaders when they're around this president of this president they say

this president has a lot of peace that he wants to be around evangelicals that

he said at ease with them it's it's a very interesting dynamic well I know

many of us need faith that makes us better people and that's exactly what

I've gotten to my friends have gotten from Bible study so I think this is a

okay or is religion not welcome at the White House here to debate it Andrew

this morning Andrew I will start with you the name of your foundation is

Freedom From Religion however when you read the First Amendment it talks about

freedom of religion why would these leaders not have the ability in a

country with a lot of faith filled people to simply host a Bible study well

look there are two major concerns here right there's the legality and the

propriety of this so first these are government officials on government

property using government resources on the taxpayer time getting together for a

religious purpose and that raises several issues you know what is the

extent of the government resources being used our staffers pressured or coerced

into attending or do you believe that these categories limited a number you

believe there being no I mean it's something we don't I'm saying that this

is something we don't know and we've actually submitted record

requests to attempt to determine the extent of any possible violations but if

you leave the legalities aside the propriety here it mean it can't be

considered proper or in keeping with American values for government officials

to get together on taxpayer time to study a book that condones slavery and

the subjugation of women and the eternal torture and torment of people who don't

believe like you now if it doesn't violate the Constitution directly it

certainly violates that core principle of American government the separation of

state and doctors tract I'm gonna I'm just gonna let you open up and respond

to that yes well thank you well I'm upset that Andrews is dismayed and

appalled and distraught that a group of men and women in the White House who are

faced with some of the challenges that our world is facing the planet is on

fire we'll take a little bit of time to get to know each other to pray for one

another and then also to pray for wisdom and to see if you know a verse or two in

scripture about how to be focused in life so I'm very grateful we have a

president I'm very grateful for a cabinet that gives people an opportunity

to do so and if you were to take away in fact I'm afraid Andrew and some of his

friends would be very upset to have been at that Constitutional Convention in

Philadelphia when they're I guess their hero Benjamin Franklin stood and said

simply sir I've lived a long time we have seen after praying daily in this

building for divine protection Britain they didn't know it's really in the

building at all they pray pray daily during sessions of Congress I mean they

pray they play what they said can you hear us Andrew that's what that that's

what Benjamin Franklin said that's his own words well I mean Benjamin Franklin

proposed the prayer but they did not have any prayer at the Constitutional

Convention and the delegates actually rejected his called we had prayer and

there was no prayer at the come did you do then after institution do they not

open sessions of Congress today with a prayer well in the Freedom From Religion

Foundation is actually suing because they've rejected atheists attempt to get

an invocation done but James Madison who wrote the Bill of Rights and is the

father of the Constitution said that those chaplains and Congress are a

direct violation of equal rights and of the First Amendment so the

again you know we don't actually have its you're invoking what what many

invoke is a wall of separation between church and state

yes except there is no the wall of Shepard separation of church state is

not in the Constitution is it it was in a letter drafted in 1803 so Thomas I

mean no I mean absolutely not that that is a phrase that is used to sum up the

relationship between religion and government and it has been adopted by

the supreme court as early as 1878 i mean fair trial isn't a phrase that

appears in the constitution but everybody recognizes that there's a wise

doctor doctor free difference between freedom from religion and freedom of

religion there's no question i don't know how it can traumatize somebody that

people of their own free will have chosen they have the freedom to say i

have a prime of man of faith a woman of faith i need prayer and i would like to

do this and i'm very grateful that we have an administration that says part of

what made america america is our faith and i you know Andrews right nobody

should have anything imposed upon them and no one at those weekly Bible studies

and those of us that have the privilege to work with the president several times

and his cabinet can honestly tell you it's a sincere listening session and you

know the picture that everybody would raise the over us prayin over the

president well if you knew what was happening before that prayer and after

that prayer on prison reform and social justice and then after the prayer we

went right back to doing our best effort note so no doubt consequential stuff for

sure I know I how I feel about this you guys are gonna continue to debate it we

weird are they done right but but it's really interesting because she should

employ a little bit of curiosity and and maybe this is a facet of someone's life

that is most important to them and something that's actually very sacred

and using pejorative words like strange it's sort of off-putting so if this is a

block of voters that's so threatening to Democrats my suggestion would be maybe

don't criticize them openly if you're interested in bringing them to your side

they don't do it they wouldn't do it with Muslims if it was something most

Department it wasn't father lavars so-called people on the ground in China

that got his son out of a long-term prison sentence it was me too bad levar

is just a poor man's version of Don King but without the hair well I think levar

you could have spent the next five to ten years during Thanksgiving with your

son in China but no NBA contract to support you but remember levar

shoplifting is not a little thing it's a really big deal especially in China

ungrateful fool the thing about these particular sunglasses apparently that

they stole from allegedly stole from Louis Vuitton is they were two thousand

dollars a piece I had no idea three pairs of their tennis shoes thanks for

that $6,000 worth of sunglass right and as I mentioned yesterday there's a 30

year old former Ball State standout linebacker who got in a bar fight which

he said he didn't even start he was defending himself he's in jail now for

14 months without a day in court that's easily where these three UCLA players

could have been because he didn't even know it she did not even know about the

leader of China before President Trump brought it up and has dana perino

brought up a couple of nights ago when you're the president I'd stay to only

have a couple of times you could ask for favors from other nations when you're

ready where do you want to you but yeah but do you want to use it on three

players you know nothing about president Trump said yeah I'll use one of the

favors I'm gonna just say can you do me a favor and be easy on these guys can

you get him out when it all happened I thought this is such a nice story

because these guys made a mistake the president gave them a pass the president

helped get them home so they could be with their families cuz all I could

think about is otto warmbier doing something small that he shouldn't have

been doing and then it cost him his life and so I was so grateful that these guys

who are great basketball players are back here on American soil then they

have their press conference they thank the president I thought this could not

great everything great tied up with ready bow then your dad says all this

crazy stuff and it ignites the whole story what makes it bad Lavar ball just

isn't a crazy person or maybe he's crazy like a fox he's getting more attention

more interest becomes a center of controversy I watched that back I think

the whole thing was a put-on yeah with CNN I think he was just saying the most

outrageous thing possible so this story continues and he grows his brand he's

done that in the past right none stop yeah he is quite a self-promoter let's

talk about the other controversy and that the president has brought Lavar

ball out of the sports world into the general public this is one of the most

bizarre people you ever gonna be did a great job raising his three kids but he

is absolutely bizarre öland the president did not get a thank you from

him and he tweeted out that maybe I should have just left the kids there so

levar ball hopped on television to try to explain why he wasn't thanking the

president for getting his son out of China after he shoplifted try to make

sense of this how did you know it how do you know it wasn't involved before I

even knew that I mean he didn't even know they was over there and like that

okay what was the reason for him going over there in the first place what are

you trying it wasn't like he was in the US and said okay there's three kids in

China I need to go over there and get him okay I wasn't a thought process okay

right what we're talking about right now is a lot of stuff about my son just

because his last name is ball we're not even talking about the other two kids I

don't have no doubts about what he did I got doubts of what he didn't do how's

that I would say thank you people to put him on his plane and took him on then I

would have said thank you mr. Trump for taking my boys out of China and bringing

them back to the US there's a lot of room on that plane I would have said

thank you kindly for that problem as the president was going right home he had to

go to the Philippines yeah yeah yeah so why didn't he take

yeah three shoplifters on a tour of Asia with him you know the first thing they

tell you when they give you a passport is that when you're in a foreign

jurisdiction you're subject to the laws of that jurisdiction so if you're a

Canadian bagpiper and they take you to Gitmo then tough

that can ruin your life yeah and and the idea that somehow didn't know he should

have had he should have taken them in on air force while they should have been

a great life and it was only after the father

and to that shoplifting isn't a big deal anyway that the president struck back

it's a classic Trump counter-attack and in this case it will have the support

not only of his base but most Americans who oppose shoplifting so it this is

just one of those feuds it's not a big deal but the president wins so here now

which you need to teach up here to be thankful number one and to apologize

you know that that's not what I would do you know essentially as a parent this is

what you need to teach in terms of respect and accountability do you think

that the president has a positive message here for young these young

african-american men or is it racist as you just heard charged know most races

is the thing that this is the way black people should think and we black

people's to respond now I'm thankful for presidents drawing lines across the

board because it's not happening these homes we need to respect our flag and

expect that women we need to respect the laws all those things that right now

there are problems in the black community we're not being taught because

men are not standing up and doing their job so at the end of the day let's have

this conversation and at the end of the end of these season let's go back and we

need to get American people into these communities and giving the right message

to these young people about service and and level country because they're not

getting from the Marxist and socialists are running a country with these

communities as we speak today so how would you compare that the message that

President Trump is putting out there with the message that President Obama

put out there well President Obama had a message of division it was it was always

he it was not is not bringing together and helping out kids to understand their

laws that we need to to stay focused on I tell you what I'm learning what I'm

seeing right now when I grew up to do something like this would not happen I

would I would not want to disrespect my family's name I would not want to

embarrass my mom and dad this is what we're not being taught in the

communities and and across the board black and white it's a message that all

of us need to be teaching our kids because we wanted to be successful happy

and unfortunately in the black community we're expecting thuggery it's almost a

natural way that we think and react and it's not the way it should be that is

true racism to have so low expectations for our kids thank you very much good to
