North Korea WARNING: Emergency Trump request reveals US arsenal to tackle WW3 threat

sparked fears of when the hermit nation refused to back down from its nuclear ambitions despite international condemnation.

US President started a furious rhetoric war with Kim Jong-un after the despot dictator said he would look to hit the US territory of Guam with an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Mr Trump promised to retaliate with "fire and fury", even suggesting he would be willing to "totally destroy" the hermit nation if needs must.

Now, the American's administration is further planning for the possibility of World War 3 by asking for emergency funds to bolster its defences against the rogue state's missiles.

In an emergency request to Congress, Mr Trump's Government asked for $4 billion to help combat the threat of North Korea. Defence officials are concerned that the US missile defence system may not be sufficient to deter a North Korea attack.

Hidden deep within the emergency funding request lies a series of hints to new possible plans Donald Trump is using to combat the North Korea threat.

The White house is planning to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on two new approaches to react to a North Korea strike on the United States.

The first involves a sophisticated cyber warfare system that would sabotage and interfere with missile launches before they occur, the Pentagon has called this the "left of launch" approach.

The second solution would see North Korean missiles blown up in the "most phase" when they are slow-moving and highly visible targets. This would involve the use of rocket-firing drones to target missiles as they are launched from North Korea.

Caveny, a planner behind the rocket-firing drones, said an accelerated programme could see the weapons produced within a year.

His team are considering the use of an Avenger, a drone that has a 76-feet wingspan. Dr Caveny said: "This is going to be a game changer.

Thomas Karako, a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies added: "What you're seeing is a lot more options on the table.".

Trump Admin Announces List Of 5 Contenders For Next Supreme Court Vacancy - Duration: 2:59.

The White House announced Friday that there are five new judges on the president's list

to fill the next Supreme Court vacancy should it arise during his presidency, the Washington

Examiner reported.

"One year ago, President Donald J. Trump was elected to restore the rule of law and

to Make the Judiciary Great Again," the White House said in a statement.

"Following the successful confirmation of Justice Neil M. Gorsuch to the Supreme Court

of the United States and the nomination of more than seventy federal judges — including

five individuals from his Supreme Court list — President Trump today announced that he

is refreshing his Supreme Court list with five additional judges."

The refreshed list now includes Amy Coney Barrett, an appeals judge for the Seventh

Circuit; Britt Grant, justice for Georgia's Supreme Court; Brett Kavanaugh, appeals judge

for the D.C. Circuit; Kevin Newsom, a judge on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals; and

Patrick Wyrick, a justice on Oklahoma's Supreme Court.

These judges join 20 others already on a White House list of potential Supreme Court nominees.

"President Trump will choose a nominee for a future Supreme Court vacancy, should one

arise, from this updated list of 25 individuals," the statement continued.

"The President remains deeply committed to identifying and selecting outstanding jurists

in the mold of Justice Gorsuch.

These additions, like those on the original list released more than a year ago, were selected

with input from respected conservative leaders."

The updates to the list, which had originally been put out during the campaign, were predictably

dismissed by the mainstream media.

"Trump Names Supreme Court Candidates for a Nonexistent Vacancy," The New York Times'

headline read.

However, three members of the court are over age 75 — the oldest being liberal stalwart

Ruth Bader Ginsburg at 84.

The others, Stephen Breyer and Anthony Kennedy, are a liberal and swing vote, respectively.

It's highly likely that, at some point during his presidency, Trump will have another vacancy

to fill.

And all of the new names on the list, the White House says, are rock-ribbed conservatives

in the mold of Antonin Scalia and Neil Gorsuch.

In remarks he made to a lawyers convention hosted by the conservative Federalist Society

on Friday, White House counsel Don McGahn said all of the names on the list "have

a demonstrated commitment to originalism and textualism."

"They all have paper trails.

They all are sitting judges," McGahn said, according to Politico.

"There's nothing unknown about them.

What you see is what you get."

That's good news for conservatives everywhere, even if the vacancy isn't existent yet.

Trump's 1st SCOTUS Appointee Threw Down Constitutional Gauntlet During Moving Speech - Duration: 3:57.

If there were any remaining conservatives who had a doubt that President Donald Trump

picked the right man to succeed Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court, Neil Gorsuch should

have made them believers Thursday night.

That's when the newest justice on the nation's highest bench delivered a speech to the Federalist

Society in which he threw down the gauntlet on constitutional originalism, the judicial

philosophy of both himself and the late Justice Scalia.

"Tonight, I can report that a person can be both a publicly committed originalist and

textualist and be confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States," Gorsuch said,

according to the Washington Examiner.

"Originalism has regained its place at the table … textualism has triumphed … and

neither one is going anywhere on my watch."

The Federalist Society is a right-leaning legal organization that Democrats have accused

of being a secretive enclave from which suggestions for President Trump's nominations to the

federal bench have emerged.

During his Thursday remarks at the Antonin Scalia Memorial Dinner at Washington's Union

Station, Gorsuch chided those pushing that narrative.

"For starters, if you're going to have a meeting of a secret organization, maybe

don't have it in the middle of Union Station," Gorsuch said, according to The National Law

Journal.

Union Station, a D.C. landmark, is the chief rail station in the nation's capital and

serves as a hub for the Metro as well as a prime retail destination.

He also said that if it wants to remain secretive, the society should also abandon its very public

stances on our judicial system, such as that a judge should "say what the law is, not

what it should be."

"You're a bunch of radicals," Gorsuch quipped.

But humor aside, Gorsuch's speech was a testament of fealty to the Constitution that

was moving to any conservative who cares about the future of the country.

Not familiar with originalism?

Well, I can only assume you're a liberal reading through this just to post an angry

response and not one of our regular, well-informed Conservative Tribune readers.

However, Scalia himself described the judicial philosophy best: "The Constitution that

I interpret and apply is not living but dead, or as I prefer to call it, enduring.

It means today not what current society, much less the court, thinks it ought to mean, but

what it meant when it was adopted."

Gorsuch talked about his application of this philosophy in a case that was brought up by

Democrat opponents during his confirmation hearings: a 2016 dissent in which Gorsuch

said an employer could fire a trucker from walking away from a broken-down vehicle after

three hours in the cold because the applicable law only allowed employers to fire a trucker

if there was a safety concern.

He said that good judges in the case ought to have known three things: "One, the law

is telling me to do something really, really stupid," Gorsuch said.

"Two, the law is constitutional and I have no choice but to do that really stupid thing

the law requires.

And three, when it's done, everyone who's not a lawyer is going to think I just hate

truckers."

Gorsuch, of course, is not a man who hates truckers.

He's just a man dedicated to the simple belief that what a law says is what a law

means, and if that law is constitutional and dumb, that law ought to be changed by legislators,

not the court.

That's the way the Founders set it up, and that's the way it should be.

And thankfully, we have a judge on the Supreme Court who, much like Scalia, is willing to

vigorously champion this way of thinking.
