Defending President Trump,.. Washington's envoy to the United Nations is standing with

her boss over his outspoken verbal attack on North Korea during his first appearance

at the UN General Assembly.

Nikki Haley insists Trump's branding of the North Korean leader has worked,... and says

other world leaders also believe Kim Jong-un is behaving extremely recklessly.

The U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, has defended President Trump's first address

to the UN General Assembly, in which he referred to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un as "Rocket

Man."

Speaking with ABC News on Wednesday,... Haley said this is how the international community

is referring to the North's leader.

In an interview with CBS the same day,... Haley also said President Trump does not want

a war,... stressing that Washington will not give up on diplomacy.

Her comments come after President Trump warned the North of "total destruction" in his UN

speech.

Trump's strong rhetoric against North Korea underscores his administration's strong determination

to tackle the regime's nuclear issue.

Referring to his UN address as the strongest level of rhetoric,... analysts say it could

mean more than a simple warning.

Meanwhile, U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis has hinted that it's time to prepare for military

options against Pyongyang,... amid the diplomatic efforts exerted to resolve the standoff.

Speaking at an annual conference of the U.S. Air Force Association,... Mattis said Washington

needs to face the somber reality that military action could be necessary if diplomacy fails.

Trump's Mind-Boggling Military Budget - Duration: 1:31.

The Senate has overwhelmingly approved an $80 billion annual increase in military spending.

It's a mind-boggling sum that's almost double what Trump requested.

That $80 billion could have paid the entire cost of:

1) Free public colleges and universities as proposed by Bernie Sanders.

2) Expanding Medicaid in five states -- Colorado, Minnesota, Nevada, West Virginia, and Iowa.

3) Universal Preschool 4) Extending broadband Internet access to

rural America.

Naysayers always claim we can't afford to invest in education, heath care, and infrastructure.

So why can we afford to spend the same amount on buying weapons?

It's a matter of priorities.

America's military budget is already bigger than the next seven biggest military spenders

combined.

With this $80 billion increase, the United States would spend more than the next ten

combined.

If we invested this in our people -- our education, our health care, our roads and bridges -- we'd

be strengthening America.

Spending it on more bombs and military machinery funnels money away from our people and into

foreign wars, weakening America over the long-term.

Welcome to V!VA The United Nations General Assembly is under way right now

at the U.N. building in New York The highlight of course is U.S. President Donald Trump giving his

speech yesterday. In it, he carries his condescending nicknames of his political foes

The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies

we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.

'Rocket man' is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime

He has called Kim Jong Un "Rocket Man" on twitter before

But using the sacred podium of the UN General Assembly, this time the name calling is carrying a different weight

This was a combative speech

Trump called out countries like Syria, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea and others out

He chided them. He has also called out other countries for not doing enough to combat terrorism

Not doing enough in contributing to global agencies, and not doing enough to preserve the security

of the rest of the world He did not do what is expected of a world leader at the U.N.

He blamed other countries for failing to live up to their responsibilities

Instead of inspiring others to cooperate, he sought to divide

Instead of igniting the spirit of collaboration, he decided to be...

And what he (US President Donald Trump) does one day, changes 180 degrees the next day

For example, in Syria he said he will not be active. But the moment gas was used, he fired rockets

Tan Sri Nor Yakcop is gone from Khazanah

After the 1998 financial crisis, Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop became known

as the architect of Malaysia's corporate transformation

He's now gone from Khazanah as he tendered his resignation from that body yesterday

and BNM says that it presents an unbalanced and simplistic assessment of the country's international reserves adequacy

Responding to the article, it said the reporting by Bloomberg reflected a lack of understanding of the Malaysian economy

patriotism and moral clarity of your nation tomorrow our choices on how we

raise and educate our children will in fact provide the blueprint for the next

generation if we do not advocate a love of country to our children and the

generations to come then why would our children grow up to

fight for their country's founding principles and moral truths if we do not

teach our children the importance of helping those less fortunate wherever

they may be then why would they become caring adults who dedicate themselves to

charity if we do not ensure that our youth redefine their nation of community

to reach beyond their own backyards their own schools and their own town

halls then not then why would we accept to see a new generation of leaders with

a moral conscience that includes all of humanity when we join together as

parents caring for children whether whatever they live in our own families

across the street across the nation or across the globe we claim our

responsibility to the next generation to ensure they are prepared to accept the

torch of leadership for the world of tomorrow and make no mistake this will

always begin with us coming together from brace parents hoods noble calling

nothing could be more urgent nor worthy a cause than preparing future

generations for the adulthood with true moral clarity and responsibility to

achieve this we must come together for the good of

our children because through them our future will be defined

therefore we must teach a child the values of empathy and communication

there are at the core of the kindness mindfulness integrity and leadership

which can only be taught by example by our own example we must teach children

to be good stewards of the world they will inherit we must remember that they

are watching and listening so we must never miss an opportunity to teach lives

many ethical lessons along the way as adults we are not merely responsible we

are accountable I hope you will join me in committing ourselves to teaching the

next generation to live by and honor the golden rule to unto others as you would

have them until you which is my paramount in today's society and our

focus as first lady it reminds our generations moral imperative to take

responsibility for what our children learn we must turn our focus right now

to the message and content they exposed to on a daily basis through social media

the bullying the experience online and in person and the growing global

epidemic of drug addiction and drug overdose no children should ever feel

hang hungry stocked frightened terrorized bullied isolated or afraid

with nowhere to turn we need to step up come together and ensure that our

children's future is bright in the coming months I hope to reach out to

each one of you here today to call upon you for your support and guidance and

look forward to joining you in collaboration to support and

educate our next generation I'm asking leaders on social media whose target

market for their products and platforms his children as well

community and educational leaders to join me in this fight for the hopes and

dreams of our children with all my heart I want to thank you each one of you for

being here today and tell you how much I'm looking forward to working with you

on behalf of our children god bless our children

never okay when a twelve-year-old girl or boy

is marked bullied or attacked it is terrible when that happens on the

playground and it is absolutely unacceptable when it's done by someone

with no name hiding on the Internet we must find better ways to honor and

support the basic goodness of our children especially in social media it

will be one of the main focuses of my work if I'm privileged enough
